Decent hotel. Not enough parking if you get in late.

This is a home away from home kinda hotel. It offered quiet, peace, and opportunity to just hang out. Minus the firepit not working and a fire department issue wake up in the middle of the night it was a great stay.

Nice looking, large room, full featured kitchen. Bring water and snacks. Elevator was out of service.

From the exterior and lobby, the property appeared nice and well kept. We stayed in building 3; first floor and elevator smelled stale and musty and reeked of mildew. On multiple nights we returned to large centipedes on the bedroom ceiling and in the bathroom. Housekeeping never cleaned during our 4 night stay and when asked for towels on the morning of day 3 when they did attempt to enter for cleaning (we were still sleeping and asked that they return a little later as we were planning to leave in the afternoon), I asked for towels and was told no, I needed to call the front desk. Although it was the beginning of July, the pool was closed, they cited there were issues. Unfortunately, this was not disclosed on their website, posted, and was only shared when I inquired about pool hours only being 8 or 9am -5pm. Overall was an extremely poor experience considering the cost. It ranks in category amongst shabby, cheap, fleabag motels.

The hotel is lovely and the staff are fantastic really welcoming and helpful. I would’ve enjoyed my stay even more if the pool had been open, as that was something I was really looking forward to. That said, I’ll definitely be back once the pool is open looking forward to it!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing on multiple levels. The hotel feels dilapidated and poorly maintained, far below what I expect from a Residence Inn. Our two‑bedroom suite for four people was stocked with only two towels, and the front desk told us they had run out. That alone would have been frustrating, but the hot water was out for an entire day, making showers impossible anyway. The room itself had several issues: • Uncomfortable beds that felt worn out • No body wash in the shower—just two bottles of conditioner • A toilet paper holder literally falling off the wall • General wear and tear that made the space feel neglected Even the amenities were lacking. The fitness room had only 10‑lb dumbbells and then nothing until 30 lbs, which makes it basically unusable for most people. Overall, this property needs serious attention and investment. For the price and the Marriott name, the experience was far below expectations. I would not stay here again until the hotel addresses these basic maintenance and service issues

New management. Was told parking is now $10 a day (April 2025). Juice and milk gone from breakfast. Last group did better with the little things that make a difference so far. Good luck. Rooms are comfortable for a work stay.

Do not waste your money, carpets smell like dog pee and the pool was green.

Safety wasn’t quite there. Fire doors were left open, the building entrance doors were left open. Management stated they were in the process of repairing the doors. Otherwise was a really nice stay

The rooms are in poor condition. This is the same quality as a motel. The Marriott brand for everyday normal working people is not supported by this hotel. It's very run down, the towels are thin & rough, the bedding is older and the thin mattress was a step above floor sleeping; the whole place is very antiquated. We brought very basic technology items with us and it was hard to find a plug let alone adequate lighting. The only room that was semi-decent is the breakfast area and there were times that we worked from there just to get out of the room. Everything is dingy. We had the windows open to get some fresh air. The ac was cold but the vents are dirty so its a stale mildew smell. There's hardly any cooking utensils when the whole point of staying in a small efficiency is to prepare some meals so not to go out and spend extra money dining out especially when there are food sensitivities, and allergies as well as intolerances with family. Everything was veryy worn. The venting is really poor. It smells like there was heavy smoking and then they've perfumed and deodorized as best as they could but the hallways are pretty bad. We asked for extra cleaning soap for our dishes and paper towel and it took hours to deliver. Parking seemed safe, area is half residential & there's some companies towards the end of the property on the opposite road. The location was more important to us but the hotel was pretty disappointing overall. Some of the staff was nice. Would not return.

Had an attack of ants in the room that ruined all the food I prepped for the kids and it was all over my bag too. I complained but nothing was done so i left early. Also the room had a weird smell

Do not waste your time by staying at this hotel! It is old and dated. The rug was wet, there was a booger on the wall! And there was a bug in the shower! No one answers the phone when you call the front desk. The whole place is really rundown and not reflective of what a Marriott property should be.

Room was clean. Air conditioner was hard to control. I like it cold, being from Texas, but arctic would better describe the air. Set at 75 it felt kore like 65. The A/C kept coming on. The hallway was stinky from people cooking in their rooms. Understandable with full kitchens, but why use carpet? Once you got i to the room it wasn’t an issue, water pressure was good. Pillows ok, bed good.

From checking in to check out, the experience was wonderful! The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and the grounds were beautiful. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean and attractive. It would be my first choice to stay again.

Need a 2 bedroom and theirs is perfect, each bedroom had it's own full bath, which was perfect as 3 of us getting ready at same time. The master bedroom had king bed and vanity seperate from shower and stool. The smaller room had a queen and full bath. The kitchen was perfect for snacks and could cook but we were in NYC all day so really didn't use for more than storing drinks and snacks. Room was good size, very comfortable for the 3 of us, wife, mother in law and me. Only has outside pool but has a 24/7 fitness room which is properly supplied. Breakfast was basic hotel fare, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, yogurt, etc; not spectacular but more than adequate for us.

The Wifi wouldn't connect to the internet the whole time I was here. The breakfast was not great--I saw mold in the cheese and everything was cold. They charge for parking, which is super lame. I travel constantly and never get charged for parking in the suburbs (in the city is understandable but not somewhere like here).. Overall, I wouldn't stay again.

Old. Outdated. Comfort was not as good as most. Chips in paint, cracks in walls, decor was dark and not very welcoming. On the positive side, it was quiet in a very nice upscale neighborhood.

Check your final bill for parking fees, I had to request a refund because my booking stated FREE self parking, we had to restart the AC daily because it would cut off (maintence came showed us how), water pressure low, closed pool earlier than posted, door from courtyard was unlocked to enter bldg, staff was nice, convenient location and quiet. Breakfast thumbs down, comfort of beds & sofa didnt sleep well, bad wifi connection was given a 800 number for tech help and still got spotty service. I would stay again only if I had to.. definitely not worth the charging price. Expedia booking was spot on though no hiccups and would definitely book again using expedia for future traveling.

It really needs to be kept better, maintained better, made more modern with the expensive prices they charge! Better front desk communication with the customers and follow thru with inputting proper notes and etc. Their house cleaning beyond stinks!! All the kitchen appliances are broken and supplies are so limited! Extremely disappointed in our stay which had been over 1 month due to waiting for our next home close by. Then my Marriott points don’t carry over they said because I booked with your site?! I will never stay there. Prices are ridiculous and beyond overpriced!!

I stayed for a week on business and I will be staying here for any and all other extended stay business trips. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and professional. My room was very clean and everything functioned as it should. Thank you for making a week away from home like home.

Started off my room was not going to be ready, then my room was ready. Room had not hot water. Got a new room. Room not properly clean. Hair and stains in shower.

I stayed at Residence Inn Saddle River NJ for 4 nights with my family. It was a terrible experience, to say the least. I walked in to a damp smelling room. The bathroom smell was worse. The front desk people were not listening to our needs. I told them that our room phone is not working, they ignored me. On the 2nd day, I asked the front desk to freshen up our rooms. They said ok, but nothing was done. On the 3rd day, I asked again, nothing was done. On 4th day, I asked again, nothing was done. We were completely ignored on our requests. Trash was piling up. Linens were soaked. And after checking out, they charged us for parking. I told them that parking is supposed to be free because thats whats on expedia when I booked the rooms. They told me to complain to expedia and not to them. Staff at this property were very unhelpful. The GM on this property needs be aware.

The person at the front desk was absolutely unfriendly in fact I reserved a King bedroom and received a bed that was not even a queen! :( At the breakfast there was an employee female who was discussing, treating everybody really in a nasty way and forcing everyone out of the breakfast area at 10 sharp, even if you were just sitting there just eating your breakfast

I like very much it's location, tucked away in a quiet and peaceful area with many trees and nature all around. I feel so relaxed. The staff are very nice and accommodating. And if I need anything, shopping and dining is a quick drive to the north and south.

The property is beautiful. It's right off a major road but you would never know it. It's so peaceful, well manicured, and the rooms are very comfortable.

Excellent service and facilities. Not bad location either, as it's walkable to downtown Allendale. Wish they had an option for compostables, though!

Facility is dated and in need of updating but the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Convenient location close to RT.17 in a slightly secluded area. Only stayed 1 night so we didn’t experience any of the amenities.

There's really nothing to do near the hotel it's for not kid friendly if you want to get away quiet no interruptions good place for that

This my yearly stop while visiting my family. This year the property isn’t as well kept as the past 5 years. Food staff were rude and totally disruptive to a peaceful breakfast. Shortage of tissues and toilet paper on a daily basis.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The area outside was well kept and safe. My only complaint was the food served for breakfast. It was terrible. I was hoping for a good meal because I had a long drive ahead of me and didn't want to stop to get food. I couldn't find anything to eat that was acceptable. Even the pastries were awful.
