I didn't know when I booked that it was shared toilets...but they were clean and not a problem. Room served the purpose at the price, no AC but had fan so was fine. Location excellent. Shower room a little small but overall I would recommend

I stayed for 4 nights and it was comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel is five stories tall, but there is an elevator so you don't have to drag your suitcase up the stairs. Showers and toilets are shared, and both are kept clean.

Location was amazing we could walk to the train which was amazing-We booked a room overlooking the water views and it was amazing but loud at night which I should of know but the view was great-The shower is 1 floor up from the bathroom wasn’t aware of that either. Otherwise good hostel to stay at I would go back

This hotel is a simple no frills hotel, but is totally worth the money, due to its location to train and bus. Also the staff were super friendly and helpful. Keep in mind this is probably best for short or overnight stays, as the rooms themselves do not have their own toilet or shower, as these are located down the hall.

First- perfect location and very friendly people. We just did not pay attention for shared bathroom and shower. It may be good for someone but not for someone over 60 like me and my wife.

This small hotel had a great location at short walking distance from the train station. The reception is manned daytime for check-in and check-out, but if you know you will arrive late you can get a code for a box to pick up your keycard when the reception is unmanned. This is a low-service hotel, with small rooms, and with shared shower and toilet in the corridor. On the plus side: amazing location. On the minus side: thin walls, loud guests, creaky floors and lively tourist streets outside makes it a bad option if you value your sleep. Other than that, it is what you expect in Zürich: old and worn, but clean and well-kept.

The place is right in the middle of town. Staff friendly and helpful. I was lucky to have a room overlooking the river. Earplugs are provided, but I am deaf, so untroubled by roadworks noise etc. The best bit for me was to have use of the shared kitchen/ dining room, for self-catering.

Budget single room so it met my expectations. It was clean and mostly functional. My only gripe was the mattress was super soft so not to my liking. Also the only plug was by the sink which was not particularly convenient. Location was great and common room/areas were fabulous

Otel temiz değildi. Hijyen konusunda iyi bulmadım. Kahve ve çay ikramı hoşuma gitti. Otelde 4 ortak banyonun ikisi arızalıydı, çalışmıyordu. Duş alma sorundu. Erkek tuvaletleri yetersizdi. Kadın tuvaletleri daha fazlaydı. 3. Katta ve 4. Katta birer tane tuvalet olması iyi değildi. Otelin konumu çok iyiydi

Impressed by location and also it is well managed, clean and efficient. It is not a luxury hotel … but it’s comfortable and great value … even for a business trip

Location was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. We had a window view of the city and river. The toilets are separate from the room but located right outside and they provide house shoes which is nice. My only complaint was the showers- they clearly needed to be serviced, it’s important to know for women that they do not have women only shower rooms and every toilet and shower room is all gender. Some shower stalls did not have doors or locks. There was obvious mold on the ceiling, walls and within the silicone sealant which was gross. There was also fabric shower curtains which smelled and who knows how often those get changed or washed- it was cheap. The way the bathroom is built it is very easy for water to get everywhere and often there was water all over the floor. Another thing to note is the hotel is located right above a lot of popular bars. There was loud noise until 2-3 in the morning. We didn’t mind this but it may be an issue for some. In all I’d give 3/5 stars because of the severity of the bathroom situation. The late night noise was neutral for us. Our rooms and beds were clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. We were able to store our bags at the desk before check in.

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel even that the bathroom and toillete are shared. It was very clean. My room was quite small but I loved it. The location of hotel is amazing and the prices are acceptable. Friendly staff.

Je suis extrêmement déçu de mon séjour à l'hôtel Krone à Zurich. Les photos sur le site ne reflètent pas la réalité. L'hôtel est incroyablement sale, comme le montrent mes propres photos. C'est également très bruyant, ce qui rend impossible une bonne nuit de sommeil. Le matériel est usé et en très mauvais état, et la literie est de très mauvaise qualité. Pour 189 CHF, je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux, surtout que ma chambre n'avait ni WC ni douche. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet hôtel et je déconseille vivement de s'y rendre.

I loved the concept of the hotel, they were using local products which had great aroma. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Location is great, there is a tram out the doors of the hotel.

The pillows and sheets seemed very dirty. I was not clearing. The shower and bathroom being separate. The listing details were NOT clear and very misleading

Property is in an ideal spot for easy access to amenities. Room very basic. My room was next to a bar and the window didnt close properly, so I didnt sleep well at all during my stay.

This would be a totally acceptable economy hotel choice, well-priced and excellently situated by the river — save for the unbelievable noise problem. I found it unsleepable most nights till the wee hours of the morning because of having a room (with like box seats) that allowed the late night partiers in the nearby alley and pubs to rule the night. Never again.

Nice river view. Convenient location. We got a room with a bathroom, not shared. This is a pretty basic place, not fancy but quite comfortable. It has a lift. I guess they could do something to improve the appearance of front of the building which honestly looks quite ugly. The front desk hours are pretty limited but staff is quite nice. Common areas are clean and convenient. Rooms are basic but quite clean and had all we needed for a short stay.

Friendly people and convenient location, but the room is extremely noisy and hot.

Center of city but the walls are so thin you can hear everyone around you. Overall felt low quality and meant more for travelers trying to penny pinch. Pillows had no support, room very tiny

We had windows open at night for cool air, and only heard a few people in the alley or in the street starting around 5am. With windows closed, the room was very quiet. Would recommend this place to those interested in exploring the downtown and Old Town section of Zürich!

Krone Pop-Up in Old Town Zurich is super convenient to the Banhopf station with a tram stop directly in front of the property! For sight seeing - the tour boats also have a stop across the street. From the hotel, you can walk to most venues to enjoy the Old Town. Shopping and dining options are numerous. We enjoy the older building with this hotel. Overall, the bathrooms are clean. We did not experience inconvenience with sharing them to the rooms on the floor. Our floor was quiet as well. There was noise from outside. If this is something that bothers you, ask for a room that does not open to the road side. However, having the road side room, the view with the water and old buildings is beautiful. We enjoyed being able to see the sights through our window as well.

In city centre, walking distance from train station, close to plenty of restaurants and sight seeing. Simple accomodation, however more than could be expected for this price point

Very noisy outside. Train sounds and bell from church, I couldn’t sleep well only 2 hours . Window couldn’t completely closed .

The location was convenient only 10 min walk from Zurich HB train station. But it was noisy in the night because the tram line is right next to hotel.
