The grounds around the property are beautiful, and I can see why it’s popular for weddings. My wife and I had a great walk with gorgeous views just out of the door of our room. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and we met a ton of interesting couples and families around the fire in the evening.

beautiful setting. camp fire pit and smores kit are a plus though it felt a bit awkward with a big party already there with wine snacks kids and dog. rooms are on the small side where you are right on top of the furniture, so it's better to use the lounge chairs outside. very charming location otherwise.

There was a $25 experience fee that neither the staff or the business openly share so that customers aren’t surprised when they see it on their receipt. I didn’t mind paying it although I don’t feel like the lodge provided an experience worth $25 except maybe for the sauna - i just didn’t understand why they feel it’s a given. Now had they converted the abandoned building overgrown with dead & alive planted a few yards away past the lodge into some “haunted house” or “historical” site type of attraction, like pruned the area and made the abandonment intentional then that would justify the “experience” fee, at least for me. If the abandoned building isn’t technically part of the lodge then it should be fenced out of view or bordered out until it is made to look presentable.

Beautiful stay at the Lodge at Marconi. We were excited to stay here and check it out for the first time. The Lodge was comfortable, quiet and convenient for our trip. Coffee bar in the lobby every morning was a plus! We loved it so much that we made plans to return with a group.

This place is magical. A gem hidden in the forest away from city life. And it feels lovingly crafted; every piece of decor and ambience and atmosphere and even the food selection in the mini convenience store - nothing feels random or like an afterthought. The walking trails are lovely, the outdoor seating is wonderful. The rooms and common spaces are meticulously clean and cozy. I wouldn't change a thing!

We arrived after 10 pm at the lodge. The fire pit was so inviting and added to the peacefulness of the grounds. The next morning, we hiked around the beautiful trails and took many pictures of Lake Tomales. Very friendly staff who suggested other points of interests before we headed to San Francisco. A writer’s haven! The rooms were decorated so nicely and everything was clean. Wound go back and highly recommend

Understand ahead of time that you will in a state park in a relatively remote area, so plan ahead on which meals you will eat at the property restaurant, which you’ll eat in nearby towns, and bring food for the rest as you might for a glamping trip.

Stayed in a king-bed room with a loft. Very clean, designed-looking room with thoughtful furnishing like the drawers under the loft staircase and a really comfortable bed in the loft. The soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioners, all in large containers with handpump, all felt luxurious with their herbal scents. Beautiful grounds. Very friendly and helpful management. Gorgeous location, clean beautifully decorated rooms, hospitable staff with lots of ideas of what to do in the area, walking trails all over the property. An amazing high end value for the price. I highly, highly recommend.

I arrived late and had to leave in the morning for a business trip. The front desk staff were friendly and super helpful. My room was very clean and had all that I needed along with a beautiful partial ocean view. My stay was perfect. Thank you!

Beautiful setting in state park. Rooms were clean but could use remodeling & updating. Large window was drafty at night. Tub/shower was slippery at the bottom /didn’t have gripping pads & no arm-level shelf or ledge to place shampoo, etc.

As others have mentioned, (some) of the primary staff are in fact rude. If you read through some of the 3 star and below reviews you’ll see plenty of comments regarding this specific staff (they’ Be aware that the walls are paper thin. You’ll hear everything from the people above and to the sides of you along with the rooms down the hall. It sounded like the people above me were having a wrestlemania match. Same for the people down the hall. It really is WILDLY loud. This is a major disruption for a “quiet getaway”…which is kind of the point for this particular place that has no TV’s in their rooms. Reading through some of the other posters, I saw that the owner responded with how they’re aware and working on it. In “fairness,” they do provide you with earplugs and a white noise machine, so it seems like they’re taking steps to make your stay more comfortable. Lol. The shower was definitely in the top 2 smallest showers I’ve ever been in. It’s really difficult to wash your body when there’s no room to move away from the water. The water pressure was terrible but that came as no surprise given the location. What did come as a surprise was the heated water. I was there for 2 nights and the hot water ran out each night/morning within 2 minutes, which then requires you to wash really quickly because the water pressure is terrible you end up washing yourself off in cold water. This place was a bummer (bc it looked so fun) but they’re not at their price point. Consider your money.

I went to an event in Hog Island Oyster in Marshall and wanted a place to stay that was close. The Lodge at Marconi hit the spot. When I arrived, I found their restaurant wasn’t open, no ride share service, no TV in the room, and as it was a warm day, the only relief in the room was opening the window. Well it turned out to be a wonderful afternoon and evening. I purchased a bottle of wine, some cheese, salami, and crackers and went to their comfortable courtyard. I enjoyed the beautiful sourroundings and peacefulness. I sat out for a few hours. When I finally went to the room, I was relaxed and satisfied. When I finally went to bed, I slept very well and woke up refreshed. Sometime peacefulness is very under rated.

Very big nice rooms in a beautiful location. Gas fired pit with s’mores on offer was a nice touch. Sound infiltration from outside and other rooms was an issue and the first room offered had widows with old film that blocked views of the bay, so we moved. We stayed on a Sunday thru Tuesday and not a lot of restaurants were open on these weekdays. Overall good value tho.

A lovely quiet inn on a hill overlooking the Tomales Bay. An easy drive 20 minutes south to Point Reyes Station or 40 minutes north to Bodega Bay. The room was modern and squeaky clean. A small couch would have been a welcome addition. Our only problem was the noise from upstairs guests who kept late hours. The walls/ceiling are too thin. They provide ear plugs … but that is a band aid not a solution. We would stay again but would make sure to reserve an upstairs room.

A small couch would have been a welcome addition. Our only problem was the noise from upstairs guests who kept late hours. The walls/ceiling are too thin. They provide ear plugs … but that is a band aid not a solution. We would stay again but would make sure to reserve an upstairs room.

What I like: Amazing area, beautiful rooms, everything is new and well thought. What I didn't like: Rooms are super hot and they need better sound insulation. You can hear all from people in other room and depending on your room location, if you are close to the fire pit and chairs outside, you will hear all that also from your room.

The property is serene and lovely to walk around, however rooms are not soundproof at all. Peaceful property, but not peaceful sleeping. We heard every step of people above us (children running until they went to sleep) and toddler's songs on electronic devices at 6:00am. Beds were comfy. No closets/places to hang clothes.

Lovely lodge hotel in the middle of a historic nature park. We booked the suite which was perfect for the three of us. Lovely little details such as local coffee, overall great for the price. Be aware though there was no aircon so when we arrived the room was really hot. And although coffee and fruit are offered (free!) there is no breakfast although they have a small shop you can buy items from.

As others have mentioned, (some) of the primary staff are in fact rude. If you read through some of the 3 star and below reviews you’ll see plenty of comments regarding this specific staff (they’ Be aware that the walls are paper thin. Over priced for what you get. For $450/night I'd expect better amenities (AC or even a fan in the room), food onsite, etc. Staff was adequate, not very friendly for this price point. The area is gorgeous and it is surronded by the beautiful Tomales Bayand Point Reyes. Our favorite was the only dog beach ( a half hour drive to Limantour Beach, a lovely uncrowded beach with a long beach walk). The only thing that spoiled the stay at a dog-friendly hotel was the night manager who kicked the dogs out when the guests were enjoying their pets and conversation. The rest of the staff were great and helpful.

Beautiful stay at the Lodge at Marconi. We were excited to stay here and check it out for the first time. The Lodge was comfortable, quiet and convenient for our trip. Coffee bar in the lobby every morning was a plus! We loved it so much that we made plans to return with a group.

First of all I am glad that other people have had good experiences. Hate to leave a bad review, ever. However this time I feel compelled. The check in experience was unpleasant. Front desk person was unfriendly and maybe overwhelmed. Very few dinner choices mid week in that neck of the woods so we were planning on eating in the restaurant. Restaurant was closed for a private party and there was of course nothing anywhere indicating that before arrival. The room itself was clean and well appointed, but the stairs up to the loft for person number three are positively unsafe for anyone with even slight mobility issues or not paying attention, which of course can happen in the middle of the night and the bathroom is downstairs. The evening receptionist was even less friendly and did not know any of the prices of food items in the store. Also showed no interest in finding them out. No one at the front desk makes any eye contact or greets anyone until asked a question. Very strange service. There was a large corporate group there who seemed to be having a great time and I’m sure they had a very different experience than we did. The public spaces were very nice. Some friendliness training would go a really long way. It is a beautiful location and a nice option in a part of the world that has very few others. We wish them well.

Stayed in a king-bed room with a loft. Very clean, designed-looking room with thoughtful furnishing like the drawers under the loft staircase and a really comfortable bed in the loft. The soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioners, all in large containers with handpump, all felt luxurious with their herbal scents. Beautiful grounds. Very friendly and helpful management. And Mable's serves excellent food. The grilled trout was amazing!

It was nice and quiet.I wish the restaurant was open during our stay -Sun/Mon. It was like camping in the woods, in luxury with real bed and shower. Enjoyed the firepit and the unlimited complimentary s'mores. Enjoyed a little hike at the property grounds. Wish there was at least complimentary continental breakfast. Everything about this place was so special. All of the staff were so kind. Our room was beautiful, and even on the smaller side, it never felt claustrophobic or too tight with two people. The grounds were really beautiful and peaceful. We used the sauna twice, and there’s even an outdoor cold shower right outside of it, it’s very well maintained, and runs from 7a-11p. We had breakfast at the restaurant on the grounds, and didn’t realize most of the meal was included with your stay (you just have to pay tip and any sides or beverages outside of coffee and tea.) We don’t usually splurge on nice hotels but this was absolutely worth the cost.

We had breakfast at the restaurant on the grounds, and didn’t realize most of the meal was included with your stay (you just have to pay tip and any sides or beverages outside of coffee and tea.) We don’t usually splurge on nice hotels but this was absolutely worth the cost.

Whole experience here was fabulous, from the hammocks, to the coffee bar, to the staff, to the walking paths and food! Sitting by the fire pit and getting to know people from All over was a highlight for sure. Beautiful room and place! VERY relaxing and lovely.

We visited Marconi for the first time, and we were really happy we chose to try a new place. The lodge sits on a beautiful historic property surrounded by nature, and the setting alone makes the stay feel special. Thoughtful design details are evident throughout, from the modern rooms and top‑quality beds and linens to the well‑appointed grounds and amenities. The lobby offers filtered and flavored waters, coffee, and even Friday movie nights for kids, which was a fun touch. The rooms are peaceful and modern, and they do not share many walls, which makes them feel quiet and private. We did wish there were a few more quiet outdoor seating or gathering areas. We eventually found a perfect spot overlooking Tomales Bay where we enjoyed a lovely picnic. Overall, Marconi exceeded our expectations, and we are glad we discovered it. Breakfast options left a bit to be desired, this might be the place for biggest improvement.

This a place is full of surprises. It’s in a state park and amazing sunset view up on the hills. I never knew this place existed and now we will be back . Short drive from SF. This place is a gem !
