Wonderful little guest house. Super friendly. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Amazing breakfast. Honour bar in the kitchen. In the centre of shops, restaurants, etc. 5 mins walk from the cruise terminal shuttle. Entrance is located in a dingy galleria of shops, which doesn't give a great first impression, but once you're inside Casa Sul Mare, it's wonderful.

La Casa sul Mare is an absolute gem! We booked 1 night prior to our cruise through Hotels.com. I cannot say enough great things about our stay and the hosts. Loris the owner and Ambra the hostess are both amazing. 10 stars!!!! So personable, friendly and helpful. Loris communicated through the app prior to arrival and arranged a car from the airport as well as transportation to the cruise port. They also gave us great restaurant recommendations and local attractions to see. Our room and private bath were spotless. Our room had a lovely balcony with sea view. We ate breakfast on the balcony! There is a nice common room with coffee, tea, filtered water and snacks. Walking distance to many great cafes and restaurants. I cant recommend this enough, and we would stay again. Other note, located on 3rd floor of a building with offices, other B&B and apartments. Elevator available. AC. Secure entry. They helped us with our bags

Loris has made a beautiful spot to stay. The place exceeded my expectations. He was easy to communicate with. Loris even helped us and drove our rental to return it with us and made dinner reservation for us. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Snacks, water, coffee, breakfast included. The location was perfect to get on cruise as it is right by the port. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a bed and breakfast…. no swimming pools, saunas, gymnasia, etc. It is a small enterprise of just a few rooms surrounding a communal breakfast/kitchen/snack area. Mother provides the breakfast and also some amazing local cakes. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Local quality eateries were within easy walking distance and the cruise terminal (relevant to this stay) is only a short walk away. Any return to this area would definitely see us wanting to stay here again, as opposed to more opulent hotels. Lovely people…. lovely stay.

First, let's just get out of the way that the immediate impression of the building will have you questioning your choice. The B&B is house in a mixed-use retail/office/residential building, and you will initially wonder if you've made a HUGE mistake. You have not! (And I'm almost hesitant to say so, for fear that upon our return in the future they will be booked full...) This is an absolute GEM of a property, run by Loris (the owner) and his wonderful assistant, Ambra. Simply put, they are amazing. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-appointed. We spent several nights in a 4-star hotel in Rome which fell short of La Casa sul Mare in every respect other than square footage. A well-provisioned kitchen is available 24 hours a day, the in-room amenities are modern, the bathrooms are spotless, the bedding and towels are plush, and there are blackout shades that I'm certain would shield a nuclear blast! Have I mentioned how wonderful the staff is? We are disappointed that only booked one night, and in the future, regardless of our itinerary, we will certainly stay longer. In addition to the complementary pastries, teas, coffee, espresso, and snacks there is a selection of wine, beer, and soda available. (Sparkling water on-tap? Yes, please!) You may stay in more luxurious properties, you may stay in larger properties, but you'll be hard-pressed to locate a better property. Ample restaurants are within a short walk, and you won't be lacking for anything.

La Casa Sul Mare We decided to skip Rome this time and head to Civitavecchia 2 days before boarding our cruise ship. The plan was to recover from the long distance overnight flight and to have an easy embarkation. What a wonderful decision. Firstly the town itself is vibrant and pretty. Many restaurants and shops dot the beautiful shoreline. But the very best part of this decision was our choice of accommodation. La Casa sul Mare B&B is truly a gem. It is on the shore in the center of town and minutes from the port. Every one of our needs were met with enthusiasm .Communication months prior with the owner Loris was prompt and friendly. He was eager to accommodate all of our requests. He arranged a wonderful pickup from the Fiumicino airport to the B&B (an hour distance)and later easy transport to the ship. The B&B itself was charming. Our spacious room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and clean. We had a balcony room facing the ocean and five separate rooms center around a fully stocked open kitchen and dining room. A full breakfast is served every morning and you have a choice of dining with other guests or taking it to your private balcony. Throughout the day fresh pastries and snacks are available and the frig is fully stocked. I really can’t say enough about the wonderful hospitality of Loris,Ambra and Rita. It is definitely an 11 out of 10! Loris has a great sense of humour and is eager to make every aspect of your stay perfect. The Hickeys of Canada

La Casa sul Mare is a unique property. It is a situated very close to the port in Civitavecchia, which makes it exceptionally convenient for those taking cruises. More than that, it is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is welcoming, comfortable, and exceptionally service oriented. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with Wi-Fi, updated baths, and lovely views. The owners go above and beyond to assist patrons with dinner reservations and advice on sightseeing. Additionally, they made our transfer reservations for us from the airport to their beautiful property. The location is exceptional. Highly recommended! We give this special property 5 stars.

Very nice property. Don’t let the ‘gallery’ look fool you. we were met downstairs and proceeded to the third floor to a lovely area with a dining table, coffee, snacks, etc and a good breakfast in the morning, from hard boil eggs to amazing pastries. Friendly, helpful and a good and safe place to stay. Nice hot shower in our room facing the ocean. Lovely place to stay. We were there for one night before we got on a cruise ship.

Truly ideal for a pre- or post-cruise stop, or a relaxing weekend by the water. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel completely at home. He’s one of those rare hosts who genuinely loves what he does. He and his staff were warm, accommodating, and always ready with local recommendations or a helping hand. He even helped us with our bags and arranged transport details without hesitation. You can tell that every guest matters here. The rooms are spotless, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with little touches that make a big difference. Ours had a lovely balcony with a view of the water, and we enjoyed sitting there with morning coffee, listening to the sounds of the harbor waking up. Breakfast was simple but fresh and delicious — pastries, fruit, good espresso, and a view that makes you want to linger. Everything about this place feels personal and cared for. Excellent ,exceptional property and owner and staff were outstanding! The room was gorgeous and the view was absolutely beautiful, so close to the beach to swim! The bed and pillows were the best ever!!! The mattress was a dream!!

Exceptional!!! We were welcomed by the owner and staff, felt right at home. short walk from train station, 15/20 min walk to our cruise ship. rooms were very clean and modern, and the view from our balcony was amazing. fresh fruit and baked goods always available. do not hesitate with this one. highly recommend and will stay again.

We had a great stay, at this bed and breakfast. It’s a really nice apartment/condo. And they book out the rooms. The staff Ambra and the owner Lauren were very friendly and so welcoming. The place was very clean, the room and bathroom were spotless, and fresh mats were provided in the shower. Breakfast was provided every morning from 8am to 10am. The view from our room was gorgeous. We had a balcony with an ocean view and a ferris wheel that lit up at night. It was pretty cool to see. There are lots of Resturant’s around the area and a few stores. The location is walking distance from the cruise port. I would definitely book here again!

It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Europe! Our deluxe bedroom and bathroom had been fully updated with all the latest comforts and luxuries, as had all the other bedrooms. The decor was lovely. The bathrooms were sparkling, the shower was large, modern and had plenty of water pressure. The bed was nice and firm. Each room had a lovely little terrace with a sea view. Our host was very caring and helpful! There were plenty of beverages, snacks, fruit, cakes and confections available 24hrs for guests to help themselves too. Breakfast cooked to order in the morning, but we indulged ourselves with their wonderful cappucino and Italian Pastries. Thank you Loris and Rita for a wonderful stay before our cruise.

If you’re looking for a small, authentic, and truly welcoming place to stay in Civitavecchia, La Casa Sul Mare is it. This tiny five-room boutique hotel is a peaceful retreat just steps from the sea and within easy walking distance of the port and train station. Truly ideal for a pre- or post-cruise stop, or a relaxing weekend by the water. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel completely at home. He’s one of those rare hosts who genuinely loves what he does. He and his staff were warm, accommodating, and always ready with local recommendations or a helping hand. He even helped us with our bags and arranged transport details without hesitation. You can tell that every guest matters here. The rooms are spotless, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with little touches that make a big difference. Loris and his team were exceptional. They try hard to take care of your every need. 5 rooms surrounding a central kitchen/gathering area. Each room has a deck with a view of the ocean,which is very nice. We had coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the evening. Breakfast is light but nice. And served with pleasure and passion. Light food is available 24 hours (pastries, juice, milk, coffee, tea, fruit, cereals, crackers, cookies, etc.). The area is older but it is in the heart of old town. Very close to the port. I think 4 of the rooms have en suite baths and one has the bath across a shared hall…not a real problem but a little inconvenient. Rooms are small but well equipped. I highly recommend La Casa Saul Mare!!

Excellent ,exceptional property and owner and staff were outstanding! The room was gorgeous and the view was absolutely beautiful, so close to the beach to swim! The bed and pillows were the best ever!!! The mattress was a dream!!

Exceptional!!! We were welcomed by the owner and staff, felt right at home. short walk from train station, 15/20 min walk to our cruise ship. rooms were very clean and modern, and the view from our balcony was amazing. fresh fruit and baked goods always available. do not hesitate with this one. highly recommend and will stay again.

First, let's just get out of the way that the immediate impression of the building will have you questioning your choice. The B&B is house in a mixed-use retail/office/residential building, and you will initially wonder if you've made a HUGE mistake. You have not! (And I'm almost hesitant to say so, for fear that upon our return in the future they will be booked full...) This is an absolute GEM of a property, run by Loris (the owner) and his wonderful assistant, Ambra. Simply put, they are amazing. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-appointed. We spent several nights in a 4-star hotel in Rome which fell short of La Casa sul Mare in every respect other than square footage. A well-provisioned kitchen is available 24 hours a day, the in-room amenities are modern, the bathrooms are spotless, the bedding and towels are plush, and there are blackout shades that I'm certain would shield a nuclear blast! Have I mentioned how wonderful the staff is? We are disappointed that only booked one night, and in the future, regardless of our itinerary, we will certainly stay longer. In addition to the complementary pastries, teas, coffee, espresso, and snacks there is a selection of wine, beer, and soda available. (Sparkling water on-tap? Yes, please!) You may stay in more luxurious properties, you may stay in larger properties, but you'll be hard-pressed to locate a better property. Ample restaurants are within a short walk, and you won't be lacking for anything.

The owners were fantastic, Friendly and helpful. The room clean and well appointed. The bathroom was private but accross the hall. A bit different but we adjusted. Close to the water front. A nice breakfast included. They helped us with transportation to the pier for our cruise the next morning. Loris carried our luggage up to our room and brought it back down when we left. We appreciated his strength!

A beautiful small B & B, clean comfortable & a feel of nothing would be too much trouble. Not that we needed anything as everything that you could wish for during your stay was thoughtfully there. The breakfast was lovely & having access to free coffee, fruit & snacks at anytime was an unexpected bonus. Loris & Ambra were excellent hosts, very friendly & efficient. Would recommend ear plugs for light sleepers as music from nearby bars could just be heard until late. Definitely would recommend to other travellers though as this was perfect for our 2 nights pre-cruise.

It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Europe! Our deluxe bedroom and bathroom had been fully updated with all the latest comforts and luxuries, as had all the other bedrooms. The decor was lovely. The bathrooms were sparkling, the shower was large, modern and had plenty of water pressure. The bed was nice and firm. Each room had a lovely little terrace with a sea view. Our host was very caring and helpful! There were plenty of beverages, snacks, fruit, cakes and confections available 24hrs for guests to help themselves too. Staying here was an incredible experience! Loris and Ambra are perfect hosts. Loris helped me arrange transportation to and from the hotel - and he carried all of our bags to and from the hotel! Ambra kept us in good food and coffee. We didn't meet Rita, but we ate her delicious cakes. Everyone was so friendly and attentive to our needs! I would give them a higher rating if I could! The room has an incredible view of the waterfront, and the hotel is beautifully placed near the downtown area of Civitavecchia. There are tons of things to do and see (and eat) and Loris is a great advisor when planning your outings.

We were blown away about how nice the owner's were!!! We were in constant communication with Loris through our email and he even met us at the train station and took our bags for us!!! The property is the BEST!!!!!! You can tell that there is a great sense of pride. We only stayed one night but it was a GREAT experience!!! Great job Loris and his co workers!!!

La Casa Sul Mare We decided to skip Rome this time and head to Civitavecchia 2 days before boarding our cruise ship. The plan was to recover from the long distance overnight flight and to have an easy embarkation. What a wonderful decision. Firstly the town itself is vibrant and pretty. Many restaurants and shops dot the beautiful shoreline. But the very best part of this decision was our choice of accommodation. La Casa sul Mare B&B is truly a gem. It is on the shore in the center of town and minutes from the port. Every one of our needs were met with enthusiasm .Communication months prior with the owner Loris was prompt and friendly. He was eager to accommodate all of our requests. He arranged a wonderful pickup from the Fiumicino airport to the B&B (an hour distance)and later easy transport to the ship. The B&B itself was charming. Our spacious room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and clean. We had a balcony room facing the ocean and five separate rooms center around a fully stocked open kitchen and dining room. A full breakfast is served every morning and you have a choice of dining with other guests or taking it to your private balcony. Throughout the day fresh pastries and snacks are available and the frig is fully stocked. I really can’t say enough about the wonderful hospitality of Loris,Ambra and Rita. We booked this place several weeks before our Rrival. Loris, the owner met the car when our driver pulled up to the front door and took our luggage. We met Ambra who showed us around. Both Loris and Ambra were so kind and informative. The place is in the perfect location. Our room and balcony over looked the bay and street. We wandered around town, had pizza and beer, enjoyed the area. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast and Loris arranged our car to the port. It waa our first time in Italy. Loris and Ambra made us feel right at home. We recommend La Casa Sul Mare to anyone who is looking for hosts that go to the extra time in making their guests feel cared for and important! Wow, can not say enough about La Casa Sul Mare! Where do I start to describe this gem of a location! First it is a beautifully quaint and impeccably clean. Secondly, the location is perfectly central for everything (beach, market, restaurants, cruises etc), and an easy commute from Rome airport. Third and probably most important, is the incredible outstanding customer service and hospitality by Lori (owner) and Ambra. From the minute we booked several months ago, they assisted us in securing transportation from the airport to the B&B. Then when our taxi arrived Lori was waiting to great us and guide us into the hotel, plus he took care of all luggage. Then we met by Ambra who provided detailed explanation of the B&B and what can be found in the vicinity (ie restaurants, market etc). Our room was immaculately clean and cozy with plenty of space. Next, the breakfast and amenities made available in the kitchen/common area are awesome (snacks/pastries, fruit, coffee/tea, water, etc). The breakfast has everything you could want at a B&B, and so fresh (ie pastries). One not to miss incredible treat made available to guests is Rita’s (Lori’s Mother and co-owner) Pistachio pie dessert, OMG if this ever goes on the open market it will be a huge success and irresistible! All of this to say, La Casa Sul Mare more than exceeded all expectations and is a very highly recommended place to stay, you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back! La Casa Sul Mare was the best bed-and-breakfast we have ever stayed in. Loris and Ambra made us feel like family when we checked in the hotel. They were so accommodating and caring and provided information on everything you could possibly need. This was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I can’t say enough good about the hotel and the owners.

The rooms are spotless, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with little touches that make a big difference. Our stay was brief, one night before boarding our cruise ship, but outstanding in every way. This is a small, family run hotel which we love. Loris (owner) arranged our airport pickup which went smoothly and met us at the car on arrival to escort us to the hotel. The hotel is not hard to find once you know where it is, but being jet-lagged and in a new place made us very grateful to have Loris there. Loris is an excellent host, both gracious and highly competent. They seem to have thought of everything you might need, including electrical outlet adaptors if you have forgotten to bring some. The hotel is immaculate, with a very comfortable bed. Our room faced the ocean (definite “wow!” when we walked in and took in the gorgeous view) with a lovely balcony where we ate breakfast the next morning prepared by the wonderful Ambre. She is an excellent hostess and makes a great pot of American-style coffee in addition to excellent espresso drinks. The hotel overlooks the port complex and we were able to walk to our ship the next morning. That may not be an option for everyone and Loris can assist you as needed. Overall I really can’t say enough about Loris, Ambre and La Casa Sul Mare. I would absolutely stay again.

We loved the service, we loved our room, we had a balcony it was just gorgeous. The room, and the dining area was very clean, lots of choices of food, and drink were included. Great atmosphere, we would stay there again. We didn’t need a shuttle service, we took the train from the airport, and we were met at the train by the hotel manager/owner, and he carried our luggage back to the hotel for us, it was a short walk to the hotel

This property is a hidden gem. So close to the town and cruise ships if you are taking a cruise out of Rome. The rooms are beautiful and very clean overlooking the sea. Loris met us at the train station and just a 5 minute walk to his hotel. Ambra had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us every morning. Loris and Ambra were so welcoming and friendly. I felt like family by the end of my trip. I highly recommend this property you will not be disappointed. Thank you!

I can’t begin to express how amazing our stay was at La Casa sul Mare! Don’t let the immediate outside area deceive you! Loris was waiting for my husband and I when we arrived from our cruise to escort us upstairs and insisted that he handle all of our luggage. Ambra was waiting at the top of the elevator to welcome us. We arrived really early and took advantage of the early check in option. Ambra prepared us cappuccino and a lovely breakfast that we enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the sea. The location is perfect - it’s walkable from the cruise port and an even shorter walk to the train station. There are many bars/restaurants near. We spent the day enjoying the beautiful beach and then Loris secured us a dinner reservation at a delicious seafood restaurant. We watched the sun set and then ended the day enjoying drinks back in the room. It’s the little things that really make a difference and they have thought of everything. The shower was incredible after several days on a cramped ship, and they even had a hair dryer WITH a diffuser attachment, slippers, and water for the room. It was such a cozy, enjoyable experience we wished we could have stayed for longer. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this property enough!!!

La Casa sul Mare is a unique property. It is a situated very close to the port in Civitavecchia, which makes it exceptionally convenient for those taking cruises. More than that, it is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is welcoming, comfortable, and exceptionally service oriented. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with Wi-Fi, updated baths, and lovely views. The owners go above and beyond to assist patrons with dinner reservations and advice on sightseeing. Additionally, they made our transfer reservations for us from the airport to their beautiful property. The location is exceptional. Highly recommended! We give this special property 5 stars.

The customer service was excellent. We were greeted with a friendly smile and conversation every day. The location also was close to the port and the train station for easy access. We would highly recommend this place to our friends and if we go back would stay again.

It was a seamless booking experience with the ability to book a private car from the airport to their bed& breakfast.The property was exceptionally clean and very welcoming. Our hosts were very accommodating and kind. Breakfast was available at 8am with coffee, cappuccino, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. The refrigerator was well stocked with beer and wine along with snacks available throughout the day. The balcony provided a relaxing atmosphere and views. Quick walk to the port. Numerous restaurants in the area. I look forward to our next visit

This is a bed and breakfast…. no swimming pools, saunas, gymnasia, etc. It is a small enterprise of just a few rooms surrounding a communal breakfast/kitchen/snack area. Mother provides the breakfast and also some amazing local cakes. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Local quality eateries were within easy walking distance and the cruise terminal (relevant to this stay) is only a short walk away. Any return to this area would definitely see us wanting to stay here again, as opposed to more opulent hotels. Lovely people…. lovely stay.

La Casa Sul Mare We decided to skip Rome this time and head to Civitavecchia 2 days before boarding our cruise ship. The plan was to recover from the long distance overnight flight and to have an easy embarkation. What a wonderful decision. Firstly the town itself is vibrant and pretty. Many restaurants and shops dot the beautiful shoreline. But the very best part of this decision was our choice of accommodation. La Casa sul Mare B&B is truly a gem. It is on the shore in the center of town and minutes from the port. Every one of our needs were met with enthusiasm .Communication months prior with the owner Loris was prompt and friendly. He was eager to accommodate all of our requests. He arranged a wonderful pickup from the Fiumicino airport to the B&B (an hour distance)and later easy transport to the ship. The B&B itself was charming. Our spacious room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and clean. We had a balcony room facing the ocean and five separate rooms center around a fully stocked open kitchen and dining room. A full breakfast is served every morning and you have a choice of dining with other guests or taking it to your private balcony. Throughout the day fresh pastries and snacks are available and the frig is fully stocked. I really can’t say enough about the wonderful hospitality of Loris,Ambra and Rita. It is definitely an 11 out of 10! Loris has a great sense of humour and is eager to make every aspect of your stay perfect. The Hickeys of Canada

Wow, can not say enough about La Casa Sul Mare! Where do I start to describe this gem of a location! First it is a beautifully quaint and impeccably clean. Secondly, the location is perfectly central for everything (beach, market, restaurants, cruises etc), and an easy commute from Rome airport. Third and probably most important, is the incredible outstanding customer service and hospitality by Lori (owner) and Ambra. From the minute we booked several months ago, they assisted us in securing transportation from the airport to the B&B. Then when our taxi arrived Lori was waiting to great us and guide us into the hotel, plus he took care of all luggage. Then we met by Ambra who provided detailed explanation of the B&B and what can be found in the vicinity (ie restaurants, market etc). Our room was immaculately clean and cozy with plenty of space. Next, the breakfast and amenities made available in the kitchen/common area are awesome (snacks/pastries, fruit, coffee/tea, water, etc). The breakfast has everything you could want at a B&B, and so fresh (ie pastries). One not to miss incredible treat made available to guests is Rita’s (Lori’s Mother and co-owner) Pistachio pie dessert, OMG if this ever goes on the open market it will be a huge success and irresistible! All of this to say, La Casa Sul Mare more than exceeded all expectations and is a very highly recommended place to stay, you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back! It was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Europe! Our deluxe bedroom and bathroom had been fully updated with all the latest comforts and luxuries, as had all the other bedrooms. The decor was lovely. The bathrooms were sparkling, the shower was large, modern and had plenty of water pressure. The bed was nice and firm. Each room had a lovely little terrace with a sea view. Our host was very caring and helpful! There were plenty of beverages, snacks, fruit, cakes and confections available 24hrs for guests to help themselves too. Breakfast cooked to order in the morning, but we indulged ourselves with their wonderful cappucino and Italian Pastries. Thank you Loris and Rita for a wonderful stay before our cruise.

This b&b is a gem…if you’re like me and wary of booking something unknown, do not hesitate…this b&b is an apartment transformed into a homey, lovely, welcoming home. It is equipped with everything you need - don’t need converters, hair dryers or curling irons…they have it all - fully stocked kitchen is open to guests as if they were in their own home…Loris and Amara are beyond helpful - they arranged pick up at the airport as well as transport to the port - and the city is worth roaming around - read about it before you come…you won’t be disappointed !

From start to the finish the staff and accomodations are top notch. This is a family owned establishment and they take pride in everything from cleanliness to the food. Directions were clear and we were greeted at the door with our luggage being taken straight to our room. Ambra explained where everything was and how to access the building. She also gave recommendations for dinner. We had a spectacular view of the port and waterfront. Don't forget to have a pistachio bar for breakfast. They're homemade! We would definitely stay here again.

Increíble el lugar! Céntrico, acogedor, limpio y un servicio excelente! Loris muy atento todo el tiempo! Y Ambra nos ayudó con transportación al puerto de cruceros y de regreso a la estación de tren. Mi hija olvidó algunas cosas pero me ayudaron a resolverlo. Los recomiendo ampliamente :)
Increíble el lugar! Céntrico, acogedor, limpio y un servicio excelente! Loris muy atento todo el tiempo! Y Ambra nos ayudó con transportación al puerto de cruceros y de regreso a la estación de tren. Mi hija olvidó algunas cosas pero me ayudaron a resolverlo. Los recomiendo ampliamente :)

Excellent service and help. We had the room with the bathroom across the hall. The shower is small but otherwise excellent. The public areas had motion detector lights. The owner arranged for drivers from airport and ship. There is a community fridge with drinks available (beer & soda cost on an honor system) and all food in that area is free all day long. The elevator is vintage so quite small. There is a flight of stairs to get up to the floor with the elevator. The staff carried our luggage all the way up and down. If you have tips about snorkeling/diving/surfing, the owner is open to hearing and sharing.
