Pestana Quinta do Arco Nature & Rose Garden Hotel

The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The views of the surronding mountains and gardens all over the property really make you feel part of nature. The lobby, outdoor pools, and walkways are well kept and clean. The parking lot is direcrly across the road and private which is great. Westward up the main road is a great resturant for dinner. Only concern is that the smaller 1 room villas are in much older condition compared to some of the other stay options on the property. They have everything you need, but there is lots of evidence of wear. The larger multiroom villas on the north west side of the property seem much newer.

Charmant séjour d’une nuit. Les petites cabanes sont cosy. L’environnement est superbe, 2 piscine extérieure et un jardin verdoyant. Une halte qui fait du bien!

Le complexe est magnifique en soit, dans une forêt tropical avec en plus accès à la Roseraie inclus, c'est un vrai plus. MAIS, le service et la qualité des installations en chambre ne mérite pas plus qu'un trois étoiles. Je dirais même que l'hôtel est du standing d'un trois étoiles et la 4ème est dûe au magnifique contexte. Nous avions une chambre dans les nouvelles maisons (heureusement car certains se plaignaient de l'odeur de moisie dans les anciennes maisons. Le lit est confortable mais l'hygiène laisse un peu à désiré. L'humidité reste dans la chambre en tout cas. Le petit déjeuner est simple et pas digne d'un 4 étoiles encore une fois. La qualité des produits mérite d'être revue et j'ai pu constaté un poil dans les papayes et le beurre de cacahuète... Il est possible de demander le petit déjeuner à emporter, il est gratuit pour votre dernier jour mais payant pour les autres jours au prix de 7,5€ par chambre. Il est vraiment copieux. Le complexe dispose de deux piscines non chauffées et de deux parkings (un devant l'entrée de l'hôtel qui est vite remplis et un second dans l'enceinte en passant par l'arrière où nous avions chaque fois trouvé une place même le soir). Somme toute, je recommande cet hôtel pour quelques nuits mais dans les nouvelles maisons.

Pause dans un hôtel très "nature" au milieu d'une nature généreuse. Chambres tres vaste équipée d'une kitchenette pour une éventuelle utilisation personnelle. 2 piscines à disposition, bien équipées. Petit déjeuner servi dans un restaurant à proximité , tres varié et d"excellente qualité. A noter que ce restaurant est également bien pour le dîner avec des spécialités de l'ile de Madère. Un bon séjour.

The beautiful flowers and plants in the facility were wonderful! Going for a swim in the pool near the reception was amazing, especially against the mountainous backdrop. The rotation is also gorgeous and worth checking out! Starting here was like staying at a beautiful nature museum. The two reception staff who served us were extremely helpful and friendly. They allowed us to check out one hour later than usual and invited us to continue using their facilities and amenities after checkout!

Nettes Hotel gutes Personal die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Sauber machen sie leider nicht so gut….

The villas have horrible beds I had 3 night stay in villa 1 and by second night my back was so sore I was dreading to sleep on that bed … I called front desk and was told I could move to studio for 3rd night … studio was much nicer and bed excellent .. the studio was cheaper and they said could not refund my money so they gave voucher for dinner at next door restaurant .. the grounds are amazing staff very good … avoid villas dirty old and beds horrible!!

Chambre impeccable mais attention car selon l'emplacement il y a beaucoup d'escalier et accessibilité difficile pour personnes non mobiles aisément

The front desk was welcoming upon our arrival, suggesting tours, activities and Madeira wine tasting. The lodge is below a tall mountain ridge and receives sun in late day. The breakfast is a 100m walk from our room. House keeping left the sliding glass door to our room open and some ants joined us; prompt service from the front desk resolved the issue. The room furniture was basic but largely comfortable. The room was relatively large. Check out was easy and efficient.

Lovely gardens sine of the rooms seemed like they might be from the 1970s which is quaint staff was friendly and minimal our cottage room had no fan and minimal lights it was a interesting experience felt very much like living here 40/50 years ago. The ground are extensive lovely gardens the restaurant food was really good just prepare to wait as three staff are serving but again super friendly and food was great ! Just add fans to the old cottages and maybe upgrade the electrical a bit and it’s a nice stopover … the sound of the birds alone is a reason to stay magical but not luxury

Très beau jardin et roseraie magnifique. La vue sur la mer annoncée avec ma réservation était seulement présente sur la terrasse devant la chambre. Chambre confortable et bien équipée, sauf les matelas à ressorts qui sont très durs ! Le restaurant pour le petit déjeuner ou pour dîner n'appartient pas à l'hôtel. Les menus sont très quelconques et il n'y a pas assez de place pour tout le monde à l'intérieur, obligeant à faire la queue ou à manger en terrasse, ce qui était un peu juste à la période où nous y étions...

Mooie ruime kamers in een prachtige rustige tuin.

After reading previous reviews, I made sure to book a newly renovated room in hopes of having a more comfortable bed than previous guests described. Unfortunately, our bed was very hard and did not allow for a restful night of sleep. The gardens are beautiful, staff was kind, and the room was tastefully decorated.

Die neuen Häuser sind modern gebaut und eingerichtet.Die älteren bedürfen eine Erneuerung! Auch die Anlage außenrum ist sehr schön! Der Rosengarten sofern geöffnet gibt sicher seinen Charme dazu. Parken ist kein Problem und das Personal ist freundlich und professionell. Das Frühstück ist gut und abwechslungsreich auch wenn es sehr kalt in der Räumlichkeit ist kann man dort gut Essen! Das Hotel sollte sich etwas mehr in sacheTierschutz engagieren...einige Katzen auf der Anlage sind zwar willkommen( sie werden auch gebraucht!) aber nicht wirklich gepflegt...Futterstellen,Katzenhäuser( das sind keine hohen kosten) und vielleicht eine Aktion zur Tierarztversorgung sollten eingerichtet werden! Gute Anbindung zur Autobahn so ist alles in max einer Stunde mit dem Mietwagen zu erreichen....wie von überall sonst auch auf der Insel

Impossible de séjourner dans l hôtel du au faite que l’aéroport a été fermer à l’aviation . Je trouve inadmissible que hôtel n’accepte pas le remboursement des nuitées. Pas du tout commerçant .

Mooie accommodatie met erg vriendelijk personeel en erg behulpzaam We hebben via het hotel een auto gehuurd en geen borg en geen problemen achteraf Op loop afstand onze ontbijt en in de avond kan je daar perfect eten Mooi bloementuin rond om de huisjes Prachtige eiland Huur wel een auto want anders kom je nergens

Management respond to any issues (our frying pan needed replacing and they did after I fed it back. Breakfast has a good variety. The restaurant is nothing massively remarkable but a great thing to have close by as there are not many other places to eat in the area within walking distance.

We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again.

An oasis of calm -- We would recommend this hotel and the attached restaurant which is over the road.

Absolutely a beautiful accommodation. The houses are surrounded by a green paradise. They have all the luxury you need. It’s quiet, peaceful and beautiful ! Oh and “Bowtie cat” in the restaurant is so cute..

We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again.

Nous avons apprécié l'ambiance et le concept. Cependant, si vous recherchez de ce qui est un 4*, il s'agit plutôt un camping de luxe. Nous avons été un peu déçu du restaurant sur la qualité des produits et de la localisation ainsi que de la literie. La roseraie est sympa et les piscines aussi.
