Spacious, clean and warm room, with integral kitchen. Comfy bed, plenty of plugs for charging etc.Tv and wi-fi worked fine. Currently no food, as restaurant being refurbished, but plenty of places nearby, and can also cook in bedroom.

When we arrived we couldn't get into the hotel , there was nobody on reception and the phone was ringing out . After 10 minutes another guest who was staying happened to return and let us in. We then waited another 5 minutes at least before a member of staff turned up.The Bar was off limits and had been closed since August and the refreshments tea/ coffee in the room had not been refilled. Fortunately i had brought decaffeinated tea with me so could make a drink.

I had no problem with the hotel. Very accommodating, and the room had everything I need. Only issues are not to do with the hotel. Building work opposite and abulance sirens every night. There was a slight inconvenience due to the restaurant and bar being renovated and not open, but it wasn't peek time so I completely understood. Finding nice food in Dudley itself is a challenge, but luckily, I was visiting friends. Nice hotel. Lots of history. Lovely Building and friendly staff.

Free parking, nice comfortable room. Couldn't camplain. Had to book this because the Himley Country Hotel was so bad, I had to book an alternative. So glad I did.

The bar had very little choice of beer , mostly bottled or canned. Only one draft lager which was expensive. There was no restaurant!!! Room was too hot and noisy with the window open.

The Station Hotel and Banqueting is a grand hotel brought functionally up-to-date. It offers affordable accommodation in clean, comfortable rooms (my en-suite came complete with a kitchenette). There is a Peaky Blinders Themed restaurant bar on site serving local ales and locally-sourced meals (and a proper breakfast). There is also excellent free wi-fi and registered parking. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

Rooms was very clean and whilst no frills it had all of the amenities available anyone could need, including for cooking. Safe free parking was ideal. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just beside is the Zoo and Castle. The town centre is a short walk as is The Black Country museum

Horrendous hotel! Dated and dirty, the room smelt of damp! The bar and restaurant were both shut. The shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot!

Good value for money bar under refurbishment unfortunately would have preferred the interconnecting rooms but issue with the toilet but we were next to each other electric shower either really hot or cold room that slept 3 was a great size handy kitchenette fridge a definite bonus would stay again.

All staff were friendly when interacted with. The room we stayed in was very dated and cleanliness wasn't great (the bed was stained as was the mattress) There is a lot of noise from the road which was a little bothersome at times. There is modernisation works in place at the moment which I believe will improve the hotel slot

We had no problems with cleanliness,a few additions would make a stay better,a little lamp, another chair if you want to eat at the table rather than the high stool in our room.Better flooring in the bathroom would improve things, possibly a fan for warmer temperatures.

Room was a little grubby. No toilet roll in the bathroom. Loads of noise outside due to railway building works. No clear directions as to how to actually get to the hotel as road was shut, no advance warning that this was the case. Took another 20 minutes to negotiate the diversion. Blinds broken and didn't shut out noise or light.

The hotel was very nice and clean on the ground floor until you get to the dirty stairs. Everywhere needs hoovering, the rooms aren’t clean. There was no shower gel, tea, coffee and the tv didn’t work. It was very noisy. I wiped up some water in the bathroom with a towel and the towel was black… there was food from previous guests on the floor and under the bed, and they need to mattresses and bedding. And was offered no refund or anything for that matter and they still forgot shower gel after it being requested. Lovely place just needs a clean and some money spent on it.

Great price for the hotel and stay. Shame they didn’t offer or provide a fan in the rooms even though it had been in the 30’s for 2 weeks. Windows opened about 3 inches so no air!!

Good value and only a short walk into town and bus stops. Comfortable bed and good to have kitchen facilities in the room. Staff were helpful with late night noisy guest. Walls are thin though so you hear water noise, folks moving about, current construction noise, traffic noise and frequent emergency service sirens. Hence average rating.

The room itself was ok it had a small kitchenette with a toaster fridge microwave and electric hob all clean and all worked however there were hardly any utensils 2 knives 2 forks 1 dessert spoon and one teaspoon a couple of big plastic spoons for stirring and dishing food there were no scissors no tongs no fish/egg slice for fried eggs, odd glasses no chopping board no knife to cut cheese or other food products no tea towels to dry pots maybe that’s something to look at if you better equip your kitchenette, heater tank immersion heater tank so waiting for water to come out was almost like a drip very slow had to boil the kettle instead, the worst part for us was the noise from the main road it was just too busy from early morning about 5.30am (they do advertise that you can buy ear plugs) but really if you know it’s noisy and could disturb sleep which is part and parcel of hotel experience they should be provided, or invest in soundproofing windows (there was construction going on across the road from hotel which added to the extra noise but that’s not the hotels fault, I believe this hotel had in its time the likes of Laurel and Hardy, Bob Hope and other stars back in the day as it was a top billed hotel they should emphasise that more very near BCLM and Dudley Zoo but just wasn’t for us but has potential if they invested time and money to what I have written we would probably stay again.

Overall ok At check in i was given my room key (1st floor)only to discover it was actually a family room, I went to inform reception and was handed the correct room key(2nd floor )told to remove my luggage, lock the family room and return the key. IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE yet I had to go up and down between 2 floors with my luggage surely one of the 3 members of staff congregated at reception could have at least come with me so after I removed my luggage from the family room they could return the key to reception 😖 Upon entering the 2nd floor room I found a plastic tooth pic and various bits of rubbish on the floor and a mark in the bathroom sink.It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly but by now I was not about to go all the way back to reception to complain so cleaned the sink myself ( left the toothpick and rubbish where they were) Leaving the hotel later no one was manning reception so I could not complain Upon returning later I completely forgot( been to party lol ) Next morning after I complained about the tooth pic I was informed it must have fallen off the cleaners trolley as they use them to clean 🤔. I could see there was no point mentioning the sink and unvaccumed carpet,especially as there were two other people at the reception desk who clearly were listening to my conversation . It’s a shame really because it is a lovely hotel, fab location, friendly staff but twice I’ve stayed here and twice now not found everything up to standard.

IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE yet I had to go up and down between 2 floors with my luggage surely one of the 3 members of staff congregated at reception could have at least come with me so after I removed my luggage from the family room they could return the key to reception 😖 Upon entering the 2nd floor room I found a plastic tooth pic and various bits of rubbish on the floor and a mark in the bathroom sink.It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly but by now I was not about to go all the way back to reception to complain so cleaned the sink myself ( left the toothpick and rubbish where they were) Leaving the hotel later no one was manning reception so I could not complain Upon returning later I completely forgot( been to party lol ) Next morning after I complained about the tooth pic I was informed it must have fallen off the cleaners trolley as they use them to clean 🤔. I could see there was no point mentioning the sink and unvaccumed carpet,especially as there were two other people at the reception desk who clearly were listening to my conversation . It’s a shame really because it is a lovely hotel, fab location, friendly staff but twice I’ve stayed here and twice now not found everything up to standard.

Unfortunately a lot of road works and traffic noise outside. Nothing the hotel can do and it did not stop us sleeping. A good location for central Dudley. Thank you to Sarah who went out of her way to change our room when requested.

Rooms was very clean and whilst no frills it had all of the amenities available anyone could need, including for cooking. Safe free parking was ideal. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just beside is the Zoo and Castle. The town centre is a short walk as is The Black Country museum

Room was a little grubby. No toilet roll in the bathroom. Loads of noise outside due to railway building works. No clear directions as to how to actually get to the hotel as road was shut, no advance warning that this was the case. Took another 20 minutes to negotiate the diversion. Blinds broken and didn't shut out noise or light.

Good value and only a short walk into town and bus stops. Comfortable bed and good to have kitchen facilities in the room. Staff were helpful with late night noisy guest. Walls are thin though so you hear water noise, folks moving about, current construction noise, traffic noise and frequent emergency service sirens. Hence average rating.

Spacious, clean and warm room, with integral kitchen. Comfy bed, plenty of plugs for charging etc.Tv and wi-fi worked fine. Currently no food, as restaurant being refurbished, but plenty of places nearby, and can also cook in bedroom.

When we arrived we couldn't get into the hotel , there was nobody on reception and the phone was ringing out . After 10 minutes another guest who was staying happened to return and let us in. We then waited another 5 minutes at least before a member of staff turned up.The Bar was off limits and had been closed since August and the refreshments tea/ coffee in the room had not been refilled. Fortunately i had brought decaffeinated tea with me so could make a drink.

I had no problem with the hotel. Very accommodating, and the room had everything I need. Only issues are not to do with the hotel. Building work opposite and abulance sirens every night. There was a slight inconvenience due to the restaurant and bar being renovated and not open, but it wasn't peek time so I completely understood. Finding nice food in Dudley itself is a challenge, but luckily, I was visiting friends. Nice hotel. Lots of history. Lovely Building and friendly staff.

The bar had very little choice of beer , mostly bottled or canned. Only one draft lager which was expensive. There was no restaurant!!! Room was too hot and noisy with the window open.

Good value for money bar under refurbishment unfortunately would have preferred the interconnecting rooms but issue with the toilet but we were next to each other electric shower either really hot or cold room that slept 3 was a great size handy kitchenette fridge a definite bonus would stay again.

A fine old hotel, fomerly used by stars performing at the Hippodrome. Rooms now have handy kitchen areas, and are warm and spacious. Although breakfast isn't advertised, can usually be arranged.

The room was disgusting, blood? on the walls and base of the bed, some type of substance on the windowsill and chair, fridge filthy and the hob. I have been refused a refund and now cannot even contact the hotel. Emails bouncing back.

My review is mixed! For a person without mobility issues I would give it 3*’s. The property was clean, the rooms spacious, bed comfortable and nice to have a little kitchenette in the room as well. On the downside I want a plug that once put into the sink there is a way to take it out again, but I couldn’t find on, so I had to clean my teeth over the kitchen sink! I also HATED that there was no-one in reception to greet you on arrival, and that I didn’t see a member of staff during my trip. This would have helped the check in process rather than being sent a couple of YouTube links on how to get into the property … which in turn lead me to YouTube videos about the hotel appearing on a certain TV program - I’ll leave you to discover that one! :-) Sadly, as a person with mobility issues, who actually messaged the hotel asking them if there was a lift for a second floor room, because I had walking difficulties and couldn’t manage stairs. There was a lift, but once I was on the second floor there were 2 steps, followed by a small landing step, and then around 5 or 6 more steps. There was no handrail to assist and immediately at the top of the second lit of steps there was a heavy door you also had to grapple with. Once in the room, despite the room that on the whole was fine, to get into the shower there was a huge step up, around 10” high, but no grab handle on either the inside or outside, so it was impossible for me to use this facility because of fear of falling.
