The Boardwalk Hotel

This hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS! Every detail is solidly and thoughtfully constructed, from the chair rail lining the hallway to the sliding bathroom door. But form without function is of little value, and the staff brings the function in spades. Everyone we met went out of their way to answer our questions. Special shout out to Reginald at the concierge desk-he was kind, knowledgeable and generous with his time and helped us to book an amazing outing! He knows the area and the hotel inside out and made our stay even better. The property is located across from the beach-it’s an easy 5 minute walk to the water and the pier as well. There are many restaurants adjacent-don’t skip Hello Beach! for some truly delicious food. There are also several restaurants and bars within the property, and a gorgeous indoor pool plus a stunning outdoor pool as well. We will definitely be back!

Pretty Georgian style Hotel that was conveniently close to the airport and the shopping mall and across the road from the beach. We had Large spacious room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool area and sea. I nearly cancelled this Hotel as I read the reviews but to be fair, it actually exceeded my expectations. I don’t have anything negative to say about the hotel. We use the spa The treatments were quite expensive for South African prices but we’re from the UK so it was reasonable for us. I did think it was a little bit cheeky that they charge Extra to use the sauna steam room which would double the price of your massage. However, the massage was exceptional experience. The spa is an outsourced supplier to the hotel sitting. In door pool and out swimming pool there’s also a small gym with a couple of treadmills and a few other machines as useful as also water available. The shopping mall is very close by and a couple of supermarkets. Lots of restaurants you’ve got children is a cinema and an arcade. Breakfast was ok - buffet but included in room rate . Platinum level Expedia members we got a free bottle of fizz waiting for us when we arrived, which was a nice touch. They were secure car parking facility underneath the hotel with direct access into the list and straight into the hotel. The hotel was very quiet at night. We had no loud noises which I do and we felt safe.

Grande structure un peu impersonnelle, mais pratique; très bon choix au petit déjeuner et personnel aimable. Dommage que la grande piscine intérieure ne soit pas chauffée et carrément froide, on y déplorera aussi l'absence d'espaces pour se changer. Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'autre choix à Port Elisabeth et il y a un bon restaurant à proximité immédiate.

Es hat ein grösseres Casino und ein Einkaufscenter mit vielen guten Restaurants das mit dem Hotel verbunden ist was denn Aufenthalt sehr angenehm macht.

Good hotel in a convenient location. Rooms have awesome sea views. Hotel has the best Spa in the city.

Ficamos apenas 1 noite, mas valeu. Quartos enormes, bom café da manhã e localização boa. Estacionamento gratuito, shopping ao lado para qlq necessidade. Preço bem condizente.

This was a really nice and really comfortable hotel. The room was beautiful! I did a massage at the spa too and it was wonderful. It’s not on the water but it has great views of the water. They had a mall attached to it that we walked around and at dinner there. It was very nice.

Great location in Summerstrand. Having the mall right beside us for beach and restaurant access was excellent. Enjoyed the pool both days but it really needed to be vacuumed on the second day. Breakfast area was lovely and the food was good but not great.

Superb location and lovely room on top floor. Outside pool was deserted but indoor pool full of kids. Nice peaceful sunbathing 😎. Staff were so helpful although a little slow at breakfast. Casino has smoking and non smoking areas which is good and I paid for the stay with my winnings 🤑

A great reception when checking in but downhill from there. Apart from reception the staff attention to residents is shocking. The room was poorly prepared, signage said do not drink the water, water is provided, we are still waiting! Dinner in the bar was a joke, staff pay no attention and when the food eventually arrives it is cold. We will not be back.

The staff is friendly, clean but they didn’t clean me room. Reception and kitchen has to co-ordinate as my daughter was denied breakfast I had to fight that she’s in the booking. It needs to improve my toilet flush was not functioning it needs an upgrade . Staff helpful and friendly. Safe environment, security is good, spa excellent

It is an nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. They are under staffed in the breakfast area or the staff are.very well managed. The assistant manger was excellent. She resounded personally to some feedback I gave about the state of the gym equipment. And gladly extended by check out time. I would happily recommend it as a place to stay in PE

Our room had plenty of space, the bed was comfortable and tea and coffee was available. It had a large bathroom and the shower was excellent. Bottled fresh water was provided every day which we kept cold in the fridge. We had a nice view over the pool with the ocean in the background. However…. I did go around with a screwdriver tightening the door and drawer knobs and some hinges on the cupboard doors. A lightbulb wasn’t working and a USB socket was unusable - obviously these hadn’t been reported to maintenance.

The standard of the hotel has dropped significantly. The curtains did not close properly. There some tv channels that were not playing. The bed side lamps were not working. All of the above were reported, but nothing was done. Lastly, at the dinning hall during breakfast you are made to wait because it is full and yet there's a space where they could prepare for more guests. The experience there was 3/10.

We had a fantastic stay at the Broadwalk hotel. Amazing service and really big rooms! Staff were all so lovely and helpful. Would highly recommend

High-end hotel very well located. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast. Would go back. The casino across the hotel is disappointing. We left after 10 minutes.

breakfast very good check in went check out very nice but i arranged transport to airport by hotel and wasn't annotated in the system for early morning transport so i had to wait over 20 minutes.

A very nice building, with comfortable rooms and a handy location. Easy parking underground. The pool is too small for the size hotel, but there is a (very crowded) beach across the street. The breakfast buffet was average at best, with a la carte items delivered cold and different presentations from day to day. The greatest complaint is the lack of smiles and generally unfriendly staff. Our room was not ready until 1 hour after check-in and not a word of apology was offered. The staff at the restaurant was curt and avoided having any contact. The first time we encounter this while in South Africa!
