We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pump. The accommodation is very well appointed and extremely comfortable, we could not have asked the more. Its location is ideally placed for the Coastal Path and visiting local attractions.

The location of this property is great. Just a 5 to 10 minute walk to a lovely cove, great for a quick walk every morning or evening. Five minute drive from Solva. Great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved Newgale beach. I paid on the parking app before we went each time, alternatively take cash. The property was clean, but not spotless. A deep clean would be good with attention to detail such as skirting boards, sockets and picture frames. All the beds and pillows were lovely and comfortable. Note the double bed (upstairs) is very low (just off the floor). The lounge upstairs was light and airy. Downstairs was quite dark and a bit damp smelling. The two bedrooms downstairs got very cold (in August) and the bedding felt damp late at night though the thick duvets kept the children warm. The downstairs shower and toilet were combined with a utility sink with washing machine. This room could do with a rethink. The toilet by the back door was a bit strange. The shower was in a dark corner and was only used once as the tray was very slow emptying. We didn't contact the owners (who live locally) as we like our privacy on holiday. Having a washing machine is great, but it was really hard to dry washing. The garden had a washing line but it was rarely in the sun and the heated radiator towels did not work. The garden was very noisy from the main road so we didn't spend much time in it other than to toilet our little dog. A tumble dryer would be a great asset. The large kitchen diner was very well equipped, a separate freezer would be good for those staying for longer periods. The dishwasher was very welcome! The kitchen island and dining table were great for laying out maps and planning trips. We didn't use the stove downstairs as it was summer. The vacuum was very good, but I couldn't figure out how to empty it and it was very smelly (of other people's dogs). Not sure if it was a vacuum with a bag. The upstairs bathroom and kitchen cupboards could do with an update but were functional. We enjoyed our stay in Pembrokeshire. We visited Dobby's grave (Harry Potter), the Bug Farm, the Blue Lagoon (and much more) and spent a lot of time at Newgale beach which is about 20 minute drive. An ice cream van is at the beach, be prepared for high prices as well as the little cabin near the camping site, but we were on holiday so didn't mind paying!
