A very nice hotel complex that stands out from the many hotels that often exist on Tenerife. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The daily room service is very efficient. In general, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool areas are very large and well maintained. A few more loungers would be good, as some lovely people start to "reserve" them quite early. The location is also interesting for families. However, due to the proximity to the airport, there are a lot of flights during the day.

We have rated this 3/5 overall as in the evenings the bars were closed even though the Barcello app would show them as open, with the exception of the inside bars that had entertainment on. The staff let it slip they starting doing this to ensure the entertainment had as many people there as possible. The could have used the outside stage or kept two staff in the outside bar for those of us that wanted to be outside in the warm weather. We ended up going out instead. Massive shame as this is not how it was managed when it was Sandos San Blas. We wouldnt come back.

Gutes Hotel mit netten Personal, aber immer ein wenig zu laufen wegen der Größe des Hotels. Man sollte ein wenig Flug Lärm ertragen können, weil der Flughafen sehr nah ist. Hat mich aber eher weniger genervt. Der nächste gute Strand ist schon ein wenig zu laufen und in Hotel Umgebung gibt es viel Stein Küste. Insgesamt aber zu empfehlen das Hotel mit schönen Pools, die teilweise beheizt sind 👍

We had a lovely 6 day stay in July… close to the airport with free parking, several nice pools and excellent food with great variety at buffet! Heated pool didn’t feel very heated but it didn’t affect our overall experience too much. Parking gets busy but there’s free parking on the adjacent street so it wasn’t an issue. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My partner has a nut allergy and Sergio in the main Drago restaurant went above and beyond to assist him with ensuring he could enjoy the full variety of options in the buffet safely - aside from this, his service was also exceptional and we loved seeing his smiley face at mealtimes!

The hotel was clean and check-in was smooth. We arrived early and could leave our luggage while enjoying the pool. Food is mainly one buffet with discounts at the other two restaurants, and while bars/snack options were good, for the “all-inclusive” price it didn’t feel worth it. Luckily, the nearby town is walkable if you want additional dining options. Pool chairs were reserved early despite supposed restrictions, and there’s no real beach access just a rocky cliff (beautiful views). Close to the airport (planes didn’t bother us), but taxis are limited. Overall fine, but we probably wouldn’t stay again.

Do not stay here. The property looks nice on the outside, but the rooms have signs of bed bugs, the staff is unpleasant, and the rooms need updating. Upon check-in, I looked for signs of bed bugs, as I do on every stay, and I found shells in the bed. I alerted the person on staff, but since it was 11:00 pm, I just stayed in my friend's room who had no signs of bed bugs. They offered to switch me, but I did not want to leave my friend in another area of the resort as it was just the two of us. The next morning, we went and spoke to the manager. He had housekeeping come and inspect the bed and I also took my own pictures. Housekeeping came in and when I showed her the shells of the bugs she just said they were dirt flicked them off the bed to the ground and called the other house keeper to change the sheets. Then she began speaking in Spanish with the other housekeeper saying the bed was just a little dirty and she just needed clean sheets. I told her I knew Spanish and started to respond in Spanish, and the other housekeeper said to the inspecting one, lets use English 'cause she understands. While this happened, I texted the manager photos of the bed bug shells. The manager ignored my pictures and said the housekeeper saw no signs of bugs, and he went and saw nothing. They changed my room but did not compensate me for the room I did not sleep in the one night. The staff and the room were both nasty.

My room wasn't ready when i got there (early so understandable) but they didnt call me like they said they would when it was ready. You had to download an app that didnt work for things like room service. The bathroom had many ants. The design of the hotel amplifies sound so i could perfectly hear the argument the british honeymooners on the otherside of the hotel were having for hours. The onsite buffet is only ok. They guard towels like they are made of gold. There is nothing really within walking distance and it is a pain to get cabs to go elsewhere. Nothing about this was 5 stars. Stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife or Green Garden Resort instead.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 4 days celebrating a special birthday as a girls holiday and overall we were impressed, the facilities that we visited frequently (pool and bar!) were indeed 5* including being spoilt with some impressive live singing and dancers during the day. Victoria was absolutely amazing and could not have done enough for us, thank you Victoria. The al a carte restaurant was amazing and the staff were indeed 5*, as well as the cocktail & coffee making We couldn’t fault the location with it only being 15mins away from the airport and little further away from Los Christianos & Playa Da Américas We did come across some negatives, the rooms were big and spacious but the service let us down, the tea/coffee station was not refilled on a daily basis even after we asked reception. We ordered an iron which took 4 phone calls and still didn’t arrive after 50mins. The hotel boasts about being 5* but we found all the bars closed at 12am, even though it was advertised 2:30am We were on a girls holiday and were told to keep the noise down on several occasions, given our trip was out of school holidays there was little risk of disturbing children. Probably the most disturbing experience was the courtesy room, where we could shower and change after check out, being 5* we expected basic amenities, such as towels, which were not provided, the smell and basis hygiene of the area was quite disturbing.

Really lovely hotel. Everywhere was very clean and all staff were happy to help and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was all very nice with a good selection to choose from. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable and very large! Only negative I can think of is that the pool was freezing to the point no one was in it. Overall though it was a really good holiday and would definitely reccomend.

Schöner Hotelkomplex mit geräumigen und sauberen Zimmern und netter Außenanlage mit verschiedenen Pools und Liegeflächen. Grösster Minuspunkt war das Essen bzw. Service im Restaurant: Die Bedienungen mussten immer selbstständig angesprochen werden um ein Getränk zu bestellen, teilweise sogar mehrfach. Man musste lange auf Getränke warten und teilweise kamen sie nie am Tisch an. Außerdem war jeder Teller und vor allem die Gläser im Restaurant dreckig. Nachdem sich ein Gast beim Hotelpersonal deswegen beschwerte, sagt die Frau, dass die Teller nicht schmutzig seien und dies normal sein. Es machte kein Spaß aus den schmutzigen Gläsern zu trinken. Zum Glück kamen die Getränke (wenn sie kamen) in Glasflaschen aus welchen wir dann getrunken haben. Das Personal war grundsätzlich nett, wirkte jedoch nicht sonderlich gastfreundlich / gut gelaunt.

The cleaning was terrible, I used the hydromassage in the room and contracted fungus, on my feet and in private parts. Zero disinfection. The "All inclusive" service was also not really good. The snacks palce closes at 5pm and then you have to wait until the dinner time to eat something, or walk through the whole hotel to the reception just to ask a key to unlock a fridge for a sandwich

Lovely hotel, the staff were amazing from reception and bar staff to cleaners and gardeners always polite and had a smile. Very helpful and accompanying. Hotel room was very large with super king bed jacuzzi bath we didn’t use but had glass walls into bedroom, that can be covered with sliding panels. Big balcony which we booked as partial sea view we had an amazing sea view AND pool views. The pools were great from paddling and chilling to deep pools. Food was lovely with a good selection.

Très bel hôtel avec de belles piscines. Dans les chambres très propres, les literies sont parfaites, les salle de bain sont un peu vieillottes, la douche et les WC sont séparés. Le restaurant propose de nombreux plats, tout est de bonne qualité. Les points négatifs : 1) nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel peu avant 11h (levés à 1h30 du matin pour être à Orly à 4h et départ à 6h), nous avons trouvé l'accueil un peu froid, ce jour là le personnel présent ne parle français. Les chambres ne sont attribuées que l'après-midi dès 15h, le restaurant n'ouvre qu'à 13h. On nous propose juste de garder nos valises à la bagagerie, pas de chambre temporaire (on est fatigués, on a chaud...) 2) la plage devant l'hôtel est une plage de cailloux, elle est sale, pas entretenue.

All good with exception of the AC. They set the AC with like a “blocker” and we couldn’t set it lower than 24C. My opinion is that the room temperature must be set by the client, not the Hotel. I even requested to lower a bit, and they told me that 24C was the lowest we can have it. I disagree with this “policy” since I’m the opinion that if we as clients paid for a 5 * Service, we should get one, and sleeping comfortable is a must in any hotel. For this only reason I’m not giving an Excellent review, just a Very Good one.

Hotel Barceló Tenerife er generelt pent, med hyggelig betjening og en grei buffet. Beliggenheten nær flyplassen gir kort reisetid, men innebærer også hørbar flystøy fra morgen til kveld. Rommene er ryddige, og sengen er god, selv om den triller på hjul. Putene er av dårlig kvalitet, og det svake vanntrykket i dusjen gjør det vrient å få en skikkelig vask. All inclusive-tilbudet virker unødvendig, siden utvalget er begrenset. Om vinteren er det kun resepsjonsbaren som holder åpent på kveldstid. WiFi-forbindelsen er svak, og vinglass som ble fjernet fra rommet, ble ikke erstattet. Avstanden til nærmeste by er lang, og den lille landsbyen i nærheten byr stort sett bare på sjømat. Alt i alt et fint hotell med enkelte irritasjonsmomenter. Det passer best for reisende som ikke forventer maksimal komfort, men som setter pris på kort vei til flyplassen og kan leve med litt flystøy.

Easy to find. Good parking capacity in garage underneath the hotel. Very good reception from very nice staff and generally very good service. Rooms were space ours enough and we found the beds very good. Quiet surroundings and no problems with flight traffic from the airport nearby. We had a buffet dinner and a buffet breakfast, both absolutely fulfilling culinary expectations in a nice setting. They charged €10 per hour for late check-out which we weren't too happy with but otherwise we were very content and could definately visualize another stay.

The hotel is great in general. Showers will need some upgrading. Very close to the airport. Lovely staff except for one female at the reception. Dinner Buffet changes theme daily which is good. Quiet and nice crowd. Bonus point goes to the activities such as bingo at 5 pm.

I've stayed 4 times at this hotel now. So I guess I really like it! It's really convenient to Tenerife South airport (22 euros taxi). That does mean the planes fly overhead, but they never bothered us. The hotel is nice and it's big (it takes a while to work out how to get around!), Its on a slope - so some walking up and down steps/ramps required. Rooms are really large and very quiet. Bathrooms have a bath. The all-inclusive is great. Food in the dining room is a buffet and there's always lots of choice. Staff are nice. We like the numerous pools. There is various entertainment. For us it's a very easy hotel to just go and chill and get some winter sun. It is a little shabby around the edges, but taking everything into consideration, for the price, it's great. I can't comment on the area outside, as we never stepped foot outside, as were just there to rest and recharge batteries, for which its perfect!

This is a beautiful property, truly an oasis on the coast. However, the services did not match the price. Our first receptionist was so lovely, welcoming and kind. While the others dismissed us and our concerns on multiple occasions. They put the onus on the client to reserve taxis and airport transfers. There is little communication between the guest and the staff, unless you as the guest go asking questions. In other hotels I’ve stayed before they offer services such as a wake up call, reminders of checkout services, replenishment of water and refreshments in the room. While this is a stunning property our experience was tainted by the staff’s lack of communication and overall disorganization. They tried to charge us twice for an all inclusive package and thankfully we kept the receipt if not they would have made us pay again. At other barcelo’s the entertainment is top tier, this was just sad. There was no readily accessible itinerary of entertainment or communication of changes to the program. There was an other lack of enthusiasm to serve guests, and having gone on this trip as a Christmas present, this was disappointing. This hotel requires a lot of walking, so if you’re not into that it might not be the place for you.

Loved the hotel (although it is a bit of a maze and it takes a while to find your way around it!). Enjoyed the all inclusive. Food was good. Nice bars. Room big and really lovely to have a hotel room with a bath. Very big balcony (although would have liked sun lounger on it). Hotel was quiet, even though it was quite full with guests. The planes fly quite low overhead, but that never bothered us at all. The location, close to the airport, is a real bonus as the taxi ride was only 16 euros and very quick. Overall, a really nice hotel and would recommend

Das Hotel ist toll aufgebaut und sticht durch ihr schönes Ambiente der Buffet-Räume sowie die tolle Küche heraus!!! Einzig die Umgebung ist nicht so schön,ein Strandzugang ist nicht vorhanden aber nahe zum Flughafen.

We stayed at the hotel with my adult daughter. We were looking for a quiet and safe place and the hotel was exactly that. The staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate all our needs. The hotel itself is really nice although it would benefit from easier access signage to certain areas. We were constantly lost inside the building and felt like we walked miles in a maze before finding places. There was a wide variety of food. We had a half board with breakfast and dinner, however no drinks included with it, not even water or a coffee . We rented a car and the hotel provided us with free parking which was great. Pools were great, many to choose from. Good entertainment in the evenings for children and adults. Overall we had a great time staying at the resort and would recommend it to everyone who’s interested in more relaxing and peaceful holiday.

This hotel would be perfect if just wanted to sunbathe and not go anywhere as there is very little to do around the property so it’s quite isolated. However the hotel is lovely the staff are great and the food very good

It was lovely but the breakfast let it down, everything was stone cold the only good thing was the fresh orange juice, we have been to barcelo in fuerterventura and it's far superior.

We really enjoyed our stay here however for 25 year olds it’s not really near anything to go out in the evening unless you catch a taxi, the evening entertainment finished at 10pm and we are night owls. The buffet was good however not exceptional but everything else was perfect and overall a great holiday. Thank you!

Easy to find. Good parking capacity in garage underneath the hotel. Very good reception from very nice staff and generally very good service. Rooms were space ours enough and we found the beds very good. Quiet surroundings and no problems with flight traffic from the airport nearby. We had a buffet dinner and a buffet breakfast, both absolutely fulfilling culinary expectations in a nice setting. They charged €10 per hour for late check-out which we weren't too happy with but otherwise we were very content and could definately visualize another stay.

The buffet food was good, but the desserts were amazing! I am still thinking about that wonderful mango mousse! The walking path next to the ocean was fantastic and went for miles! Very convenient to get to hotel via taxi.

We had a lovely 6 day stay in July… close to the airport with free parking, several nice pools and excellent food with great variety at buffet! Heated pool didn’t feel very heated but it didn’t affect our overall experience too much. Parking gets busy but there’s free parking on the adjacent street so it wasn’t an issue. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My partner has a nut allergy and Sergio in the main Drago restaurant went above and beyond to assist him with ensuring he could enjoy the full variety of options in the buffet safely - aside from this, his service was also exceptional and we loved seeing his smiley face at mealtimes!

The hotel was clean and check-in was smooth. We arrived early and could leave our luggage while enjoying the pool. Food is mainly one buffet with discounts at the other two restaurants, and while bars/snack options were good, for the “all-inclusive” price it didn’t feel worth it. Luckily, the nearby town is walkable if you want additional dining options. Pool chairs were reserved early despite supposed restrictions, and there’s no real beach access just a rocky cliff (beautiful views). Close to the airport (planes didn’t bother us), but taxis are limited. Overall fine, but we probably wouldn’t stay again.

Schöner Hotelkomplex mit geräumigen und sauberen Zimmern und netter Außenanlage mit verschiedenen Pools und Liegeflächen. Grösster Minuspunkt war das Essen bzw. Service im Restaurant: Die Bedienungen mussten immer selbstständig angesprochen werden um ein Getränk zu bestellen, teilweise sogar mehrfach. Man musste lange auf Getränke warten und teilweise kamen sie nie am Tisch an. Außerdem war jeder Teller und vor allem die Gläser im Restaurant dreckig. Nachdem sich ein Gast beim Hotelpersonal deswegen beschwerte, sagt die Frau, dass die Teller nicht schmutzig seien und dies normal sein. Es machte kein Spaß aus den schmutzigen Gläsern zu trinken. Zum Glück kamen die Getränke (wenn sie kamen) in Glasflaschen aus welchen wir dann getrunken haben. Das Personal war grundsätzlich nett, wirkte jedoch nicht sonderlich gastfreundlich / gut gelaunt.

What a fantastic hotel!! Several pools to cool down in, and very nice breakfast and lunch buffet. Large rooms that give a luxurious impression. Recommended.

We arrived late and had already decided to upgrade to Royal Level, which late at night proved a little troublesome. We tried again in the morning and after a small discussion with reception decided to stay in Deluxe Room (which was great) and just upgraded to the RL service which we thought was well worth it. The hotel did not feel overcrowded as there is plenty of space around the 5 pools. The food in the buffet was very good with a very large selection however we did feel the Al a carte in the RL could have been a bit more special as some of the food was very dry from being left under the heat lamps. The sushi was great and the Breeze bar menu very good. Included as part of RL. Loved the B Lounge for a night cap. Entertainment was OK. Holiday rep standard.
