The hotel is conveniently close to the train station in Aberdeen city centre, with a car park at the back. I had trouble knowing which car park to park in as it was dark when i arrived, there is no lighting and signage non existent. Car parking bays are not marked out and as the car park is a strange shape it was difficult to determine how to park. Unbeknown to me there is a £10 per night additional charge to park, this in my opinion for the condition of the car park is unacceptable. I believe they have another car park and the one I parked in is an overflow car park. However this first car park which does have marked bays and lighting was full. It is a small car park and very tight to maneuver as i discovered when i ventured to see if there was a space. The hotel foyer and reception area is welcoming, staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant area looked pleasant. The room we had was very tired looking with a large window that at first I thought was open because the draught and noise was so bad. The windows are clearly very old and inefficient. The hotel did provide earplugs in the room, but if like me you can't use them, this is not the hotel for you. The shower in our room was cold unless you turned the water flow right up. Breakfast at a weekend isn't served until 7.30am but as we needed to leave at 7am we had to leave on empty stomachs. I would not recommend this hotel unless youre happy with cheap and cheerful and are can sleep in noisy environments.

Bed sagged to point of pain. Elevator never worked while management constantly said engineers on way(for 24 hours). No heat because someone on another floor was warm so heat turned off in 14 degree (56 F) weather.

Room was very nice, staff were excellent, my only regret was that you need to walk half way round the hotel if you use the parking facilities when I am sure there must be a possible access from the parking area.

Had a fab time only complaint was the lift was out of order near our room had to use the other lift whitch was at the other side of hotel got lost a couple of times

Traditional hotel opposite the railway station. Very large room with a bath as well as shower. Good value. Pleasant staff and a good bar and restaurant. Very quiet the night we stayed. Easy walk to all the city attractions. The car park is small and tight but they have just started offering reserved parking for a small fee. Would certainly stay again. The only snag was a very warm room with no obvious way of turning off the heating

Poor experience. Shower didn't work the four days I was there, despite asking for it to be repaired. Lift didn't work the entire time.

The elevator was not in service for our stay!

Looking a little bit dated. Surprised that hotel bar was closed when I got back from the concert i was attending, around 10.30 pm.

The elevator was out of order. Except this, it was all good.

Stay was fine. Room was very dated, tiles in bathroom needed grouting and were dirty looking. Very delapadated.

Unfortunately the carpet hadnt been hoovered as I found a large ammout of debris and crumbs on the floor. The carpet was also in a poor state with a lot of stains. For an executive room I dont think this acceptable. I arrived late so didnt tell the staff until the morning. They were apologetic but nothing they can do about it.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Very tired room with mouldy windows in room and bathroom, broken tiles and dirty/marked bath. Lacking plug sockets in convenient places and old worn furniture.

Reception area nice and friendly reception staff.bar staff also nice and friendly ..rooms very tired and in poor condition..Also the cleaner didn’t pay attention to the do not disturb sign and banged on our door early after a night out I’m presuming to see if it was empty to clean ..location was good and the price was cheap so I suppose you pay for what you get . Probably won’t be returning though due to the terrible bed and overall room condition.

A mixed review - breakfast, location and friendly staff were the positives. Negatives were the interiors are very dated (I remember Butlins had those curtains in the early 80s), stains on carpet, broken TV remote. The enamel had a lot of gaps in shower, no shower gel and the bottles aren’t see through so you find out too late there is no gel. I put my used towel in the shower when I wanted a new one and I came back to find the used towel drying on the radiator and no new clean towel, plus window was left open so room was freezing. I’d left the used one it in a wet shower as requested on the signs for a new towel. Not hygienic. No heating control. Quite noisy inside the hotel not from the city outside. It’s an old building so I appreciate it’s a lot to update however I think more realistic photos are needed if not all standard rooms look like the pictures. Good hot and cold breakfast and evening food in the hotel bar was very nice. Nice reception, bar and breakfast staff. I enjoyed my stay however a few extra checks when cleaning rooms and more realistic room pics and the rest is great. Good location, Hotel is next to bus and train station (obviously) so good for day coach trips also, I went on a 9 hour day trip to the coast so it was nice to be a 2 min walk back to the hotel. Buses to castles, airport, other cities also if you are not driving.

Room wasn’t as clean as I’d expected, with toothpaste stains on the bathroom floor from previous occupant. Otherwise it was all right.

Excellent base for an overnight stay as directly opposite the train station and Union Square shopping centre for food and shops. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel was spotless. Our room (230) was huge and very clean. Bathroom was nice and modern. Furniture was a bit of a,mismatch but perfectly functional. Only downside was the roasting hot radiator that wouldn't turn down. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Hotel is right across the street from the train station. Also across the sreet next to train station, there is an indoor mall with lots of restaurants & stores. The hotel itself has a good restaurant. A short walk takes you to a main street with lots of stores, pubs and restaurantsas well as easy access to bus transportation. The beds are comfortable & rooms are kept spotless.

Superior double room excellent and very clean. Ate in the restaurant food first class.

Good location; opposite the station. Huge bed (unfortunately shared with a large spider). Inconsistent internet connectivity. No means of controlling the room temperature ( and windows jammed/locked shut) Dated decor. Poor selection of beer at bar

Nice property but crappy though clean room. Pretty expensive for two tiny twin beds with no headboards. Peeling paint. Heating wouldn’t go on. No shelf in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom so everything gets steamy.

Hardly slept the 2 nights i was there due to the noise outside the hotel. We had our room looking onto Guild Street. Cold shower in the morning due to not having hot/warm water.

We arrived during a heat wave. Room was in the attic of the hotel. The heat hit you as you opened the door. Windows were screwed shut, no ventilation. It was dangerous. Receptionist couldnt offer us an other room. We didn't stay and would not recommend this hotel to anyonr

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in a superior room on the 4th floor. Our room was clean, very spacious with a nice seating area, plenty sockets, big mirror and a good sized tiled bathroom. All staff we encountered were welcoming and courteous. We didn't use the bar area but it looked a nice area and has a pool table. The breakfast was great with a wide selection of hot and cold options. In an ideal location across from Union square and train station and a few minutes walk on to union street. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything just ok very noisy room and windows rattling

The room is totally updated and huge. We had to use an oscillating fan to sleep because these old, historic hotels don’t have the infrastructure for air handling and the duvet/no separate top sheet made it warm. Gorgeous room.

My room was freezing the entire stay. The heat was barely on. I was brought a space heater that helped a bit, but I was still so cold. Very nice hotel except fot this issue.

Nice enough hotel and well situuated for a city break in Aberdeen. My only criticism is the windows.Its 2024 and the windows in my room were singled glazed . Aberdeen is quite a cold and noisy city centre so double is a basic requirement I would say.

Our room has no window, it was very small and dark not enough lighting. The floor makes a lot of noises when you walk. We enjoyed the Buffet breakfast hash browns were delicious.

There was a problem (out of their control) with the room but they were very nice and comped us drinks and parking and breakfast. Great service.

The reception staff has little experience in how to treat clients. They confused themselves.

My nights sleep was so comfortable I feel compelled to ask the hotel the make of their pillows, mattress and duvet. The staff were top notch from management, to reception to kitchen. Every query and request was met with satisfaction. Will definitely be booking my next Aberdeen trip with The Station.

I’m really hoping this is a one off, but the service during dinner was absolutely terrible. We waited at least 15 min for someone to acknowledge us, then once ordered took over an hour to receive our meal. No explanation, no apology. Once our meal came my fish was overcooked. After all was said and done they tried to charge us a courtesy tip. Not a good experience. On a positive note. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of great choices. Hot breakfast was delicious. You also had choices of cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast.

On a 4 night stay, the first room we were in was on the main road and very noisy as the traffic never stopped. So when we mentioned at the desk the next morning we were moved to another room which was so much quieter. The staff were extremely helpfull and nothing was bother.

We got a cheap upgrade when we arrived so jumped at the chance. We couldn't have asked for a better room. Such a comfy bed & pillows were amazing. Best sleep we have had for a while. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Wouldn't definitely recommend to anyone to stay at the station hotel!

The service was excellent , from booking in to leaving

We had a terrible experience checking in. Hotel did not have the booking & blamed Expedia. They tried to resolve with Expedia but could not & hotel manager told me I would have to call. It took an hour on the phone before we were able to check in. Unfortunately this meant we missed a planned event we had travelled for. Very disappointing customer service.

Clean, practical and central

A nice hotel which is close to the train station and amenities.

Handy for the railway station. Easy access to the city centre and pubs and restaurants. Hotel itself is traditional Station type hotel, but the room I had was huge and had been refurbished. Great value. The only downside for some is that, though this area has been hugely regenerated in recent years and there are several hotel chains and restaurants nearby, it is not the prettiest part of Aberdeen to walk around in, particularly later at night.

Lovely bedroom, reception staff were excellent. Sadly breakfast time was poor which appeared to be due to the two staff being extremely busy.

Reasonably priced, staff very helpful - I was upgraded to a much better room because my TV did not work - food very good, adjacent to both railway and bus stations and modern shopping centre.

I have always enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms have been renovated to a very high standard and the restaurant is excellent. The only downsize was that the bar now closes at 10 30 even on Saturdays. This was dissapointing, not just for me but for other residents returning from an eveni g out at 10.30 abd were unable to get a drink. Otherwuse an excellent stay.

The carpet in the rooms all need to be shampooed. The beds are comfy and the linens are nice. The food is scruptious. The breakfast buffet is awesome. We did upgrade to a "better" room for a nominal fee. It was worth it. It is an older building but with a lot of charm.

Friendly Service, clean and comfortable room. I wouldnt advise using the restaurant, though. Weatherspoons level food at a push, but hotel restaurant level prices.

Convenient for railway station, city centre and shopping. Excellent venue for short stay break. Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful. The double room is spacious, good amenities and the bathroom / shower has plenty of room.

A great location for our Tivoli Theatre show and very convenient for the bus station. We had high tea which was very tasty with good cakes and great value but £11.40 for a glass of wine was not so good. We have booked again for later in the year
