Nice city beach hotel on the ocean, just out of Athens. On the Metro line. We enjoyed the beach and appreciated not being crowded closer to Athens. Great breakfast , nice room, friendly staff. Nice roof bar and pool.

The property is conveniently located outside the city center if that’s what you’re looking for… Easy to get to areas out side of the city center and away from the commotion… Only gripe is that parking is actually not located on the property except for 4 spots out front… If you manage to get one, great, otherwise you have to drive down the street and around in order to get to a light that will take you across the street to an unpaved lot near the beach… The staff are usually friendly and attentive, but we came across some that seemed uninterested in being hospitable… A good place to lay your head down at night and station your luggage…

Fine og romslige rom. Her har du valget mellom utsikt til havet og en støyende motorvei, eller til en ikke så veldig sjarmerende bakgård. Den eneste grunnen til at vi bestilte akkurat dette hotellet var at de reklamerte med basseng på taket. Her hadde vi planlagt å tilbringe tid hver eneste dag under oppholdet. Det var derfor en stor skuffelse når bassenget var tomt og hele taket var gjort tomt til en anleggsplass

Great location with metro access across the road. Some limited parking in front of the hotel (3 spaces). First come first served. Bathroom compact but perfectly adequate. Restaurant on-site. Good range of food from snacks to full meals. Room service at no extra charge. Breakfast very good with a wide variety of hot and cold options. Nice range of local dishes.

Property is right at a terminal for the tram into the city centre. Also, one of the stops for the "hop on hop off" bus tour is directly out front. Grocery stores and pharmacies in easy walking distance. Cross the street and you are on the beach. Some fantastic restaurants within 15 minute walking distance. We had a rental car. The hotel has limited 3-4 spots directly in front, otherwise they also have parking across the street for the beach bar. Hotel staff will also assist with parking your car. Spots were pretty limited even in the off season so don\'t count on easy parking , but you can get lucky on the side streets. Two small criticisms.... We used the in house laundry service and they lost one item of my wife\'s clothing. The other one... Early this morning of March 31 we had set an alarm for 0300 to leave plenty of time to drive the rental car back to the airport, arrive early, check in for our flight etc. My alarm went off at 0300 as planned. A few minutes later I checked the time on my phone and it was 0415.... The change from daylight savings time to standard time had occurred right at 0300 when my alarm went off. We magically lost an hour of our morning for getting to the airport. We had talked to front desk staff earlier that evening and they didn\'t mention time change. There was also no sign regarding time change posted for information. Overall, great experience. I\'m sure the rate we received was lower because we were there at the tail end of low (winter) season.

The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the beach and near the Edem tram stop. The staff and service were excellent. The room itself was basic but clean, offering great sea views. Although it faced a noisy road, the soundproof doors prevented any disturbances inside. However, the air conditioner was not very effective; even on the coldest setting, it only blew out mildly cool air, which wasn't sufficient given the high temperatures. The rooftop pool and surrounding area were decent, though small and often crowded, which made it feel somewhat claustrophobic, especially in the heat. On a positive note, the food at the 7th-floor restaurant was very good, with generous portions and excellent value for money. The free breakfast in the lobby was plentiful and offered a good selection of hot and cold options, including made-to-order omelets and fruit. The surrounding area is lovely, featuring a massive beach and gorgeous sunsets, with easy access to downtown Athens in just 15 minutes. I would consider staying here again, but perhaps in one of the newer rooms.

The audacity! After all the stress and inconvenience of dealing with bedbugs, the least they could do was comp a meal or two. But no, they seemed more interested in minimizing their losses than actually providing decent customer service.

In general the stay was good. There was a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom so we asked to be moved. They were apologetic and gave us a room directly above the previous room. However, there was still a slight smell of drains, but not too bad! The rooms were clean with nice toiletries.Breakfast was excellent, staff were polite and welcoming.

A notre arrivée la salle de bain n'était pas nickel, plein de miettes et de cheveux sur le sol, le 2ème jour la chambre était bcp plus propre. la piscine est petite, le personnel vient vous voir toutes les 15 minutes pour vous demander si vous souhaitez commander des boissons. Le décor de la piscine vu sur des immeubles n'est pas super. une odeur de friture tout au long du séjour dans l'hôtel. besoin de traverser la route pour accéder à la plage. pour moi les photos ne refletent pas la réalité

Great place by the beach. Room and entire facility was clean. The sunset views from the rooftop bar were magnificent! All staff were helpful and friendly. Their breakfast has the largest selection I've seen anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

I came here to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. Pros: Spectacular view Friendly staff Rooftop pool/bar open till 2am! Cons: NO PRIVACY: No privacy in bathroom/shower. Giant window into the bathroom has a see-through curtain. I was there with my teenage daughter. So, every time either of us needed to use the bathroom/shower, the other had to leave the room! Why not just have an opaq curtain? NOISE - Sadly, this hotel overlooks a VERY BUSY street. So, as soon as you try to get some fresh air or sit on the balcony, you feel like you're standing at a busy intersection. It's ok wit the door locked, but don't expect to enjoy the balcony. I was using air pods pro while doing some work out there. That helped but not much. Weird rules - you cannot have food delivered to this hotel! What? Why? I had to order a taxi, go get takeout, then taxi back at 1am! Other: Beach across the street is nice but quite rocky. One of the elevators has no interior door. So, if you have little kids that don't listen or have impulse control, they could get hurt. Overall: I found this place to be a bit overpriced at nearly 200/night. If you can get it for 125 or less, it's fair.

I can highly recommend the Hotel Poseidon...! Mine was a very nice newly renovated single room. My only advice though is to travel with ear-plugs, as one can hear the neighbors in the next room through the wall. Also the night fire safety light in my small room was SO bright, I had to wear an eye mask to sleep.

Staff amazing , public transport from Here to the sights really easy and cheap €8 for a 5 day ticket . 20 min tram ride to stigmata square where you can walk all around the history or shop eat and enjoy the city , then after back to the sea front . Road noise at first seems a lot but for every other benifit fast becomes irrelevant . I would completely recommend and sea facing room . We had the double panoramic room . Those face front and have balcony and face an amazing view , again higher the room is recommended . We were 1st floor and the traffic noise was quite a lot when door open but could not hear it when door was closed at night for sleeping. Food here is amazing in all restaurants so take your pick . We recommend Estia taverna a short walk from the hotel we went 3 times and the food was great prices and amazing to eat. In all for a few days this gives you a city break with some sea thrown in. Trust in the trans Edem stop is right outside and every 9 mins a tram to the centre . So it’s perfect
Staff amazing , public transport from Here to the sights really easy and cheap €8 for a 5 day ticket . 20 min tram ride to stigmata square where you can walk all around the history or shop eat and enjoy the city , then after back to the sea front . Road noise at first seems a lot but for every other benifit fast becomes irrelevant . I would completely recommend and sea facing room . We had the double panoramic room . Those face front and have balcony and face an amazing view , again higher the room is recommended . We were 1st floor and the traffic noise was quite a lot when door open but could not hear it when door was closed at night for sleeping. Food here is amazing in all restaurants so take your pick . We recommend Estia taverna a short walk from the hotel we went 3 times and the food was great prices and amazing to eat. In all for a few days this gives you a city break with some sea thrown in. Trust in the trans Edem stop is right outside and every 9 mins a tram to the centre . So it’s perfect

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Great location with gorgeous views of the Athens riviera and mountains. Rooftop restaurant was excellent, and breakfast buffet was good and had good variety. Beds comfy. Only issue was the a/c in our rooms. Even at the coolest setting, rooms were not cool at all.

The staff at Poseidon in Athens were very accommodating. I give them 5 stars. It says parking is available- I’m not really sure where- I ended up parking in the street. The view was beautiful and the breakfast was incredible! It is right downtown on a very busy street so it was loud . I was able to drown that out with a fan- and slept comfortably. Very happy with the experience and service here.

The property was adequate but not as described online. There is no self service parking option for guests and if you are a foreigner you are treated subpar borderline discriminatory. I attempted to utilize the skenieities offered, specifically the rooftop Bar, and was ignored by a shorter in height bartender for more than 20 minutes while he greeted and served three different guests who arrived long after I had. He waited on all the guests at their table, however, in order for me to obtain service and ultimately Pay for my drinks I had to get up and go to the bar every single time. This was an issue to me because everyone else in the establishment was receiving table side service and greeted when they came to the bar. I would not recommend any one to come here unless you are Greek.

I tried to get early check-in, but not available. Totally understand, but they promised to text me when the room was ready and never did. Tried to sleep at the rooftop pool until 3pm (official check-in time), went down a few minutes after and looked like they had several rooms ready. Totally exhausted and this just pissed me off even more. Roof top pool was ok, been at much nicer. I would only stay again b/c near the beach.

The Hotel was average. Staff were friendly but overall just another hotel. Nothing stood out as being exceptional. There were no perks with VIP awards. The breakfast was well presented with good choice, but the beachfront restaurant had unfriendly staff just doing their job. The Hotel was close to tram and bus lines to and from Athens, airport and Port which was great for getting around. Pros: + Good location, 5 minutes and you are near the beach. + Good wifi Cons: - Balcony. Not all rooms have sea views. Our room has a 1 square meter balcony. I didn't expect that - Sound isolation is terrible. You will hear everything in the nearest rooms, especially cleaning from early morning. - Staff will ignore "Do not disturb". They will call you, and knock on the door each day even after you ask not to do so. - Staff will argue if you order food delivery. They told me about some "terms and conditions" of this hotel. I asked to share the link or written text but they didn't have it. The argument is that they have a restaurant upstairs and we should order food there. The restaurant is decent and overpriced. - The air conditioner works strangely. By having the same temperature you can wake up because it's too hot or too cold. - Mini-refrigirator worked poorly. The cheese inside melts in one night. - Safe didn't work but it's minor. Nice city beach hotel on the ocean, just out of Athens. On the Metro line. We enjoyed the beach and appreciated not being crowded closer to Athens. Great breakfast , nice room, friendly staff. Nice roof bar and pool.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Its right in front of the beach and their is a tram (#6) that takes you downtown. The hotel staff were very nice and the breakfast was delicious. We would recommend this and stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful 3 days!

Why stay in downtown Athens when you can stay by the sea? There's a train right in front of the hotel that takes you straight into Athens, with great frequency. I could not have picked a better location to stay while I was there. Come by that with super helpful staff and this was a real delight.

Food at rooftop restaurant was one of the best Greek restaurants ever tasted. Staff were very efficient, accommodating and provided excellent customer service. Very friendly too. Highly recommend this place for preparing to go back to work or flying back to Canada.

I normally don't write these reviews but Poseidon exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is perfectly situated and has good transportation right outside their door. The hotel staff is very service minded and friendly. Their restaurant is top of the class and the view is amazing.

Fab location, plenty of beach bars and restaurants close by and easy to get too as there is a tram stop directly opposite the hotel. Supermarket next door, which was very convenient. I think the photos on Expedia might be slightly out dated as I thought the hotel felt more premium and better than It looks ! Which was a pleasant surprise. Girls at reception were great too, very informative and strong English. One downside is the food is massively over priced and so are the drinks. I think re looking prices would be beneficial for business and boost restaurant and pool side bar atmosphere, which was dire. I ate there once out of 6 nights as better value restaurants and bars very close by. All in all, very good. Thanks

Great location with metro access across the road. Some limited parking in front of the hotel (3 spaces). First come first served. Bathroom compact but perfectly adequate. Restaurant on-site. Great place by the beach. Room and entire facility was clean. The sunset views from the rooftop bar were magnificent! All staff were helpful and friendly. Their breakfast has the largest selection I've seen anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.
