Air In Berlin is an older hotel, but quite a few modern accomodations and good wifi too. The breakfast is good too. Its small, the elevator is a little strange and not actually going to the floor, but the half floor at the turn in the staircase. I would stay there again, its close to where I needed to be, the no air conditioning was not too bad as the windows opened wide, etc. There was demolition taking place two doors down. I understand as the demo moves closer, it will include the Air In Berlin hotel as well making way for progress.

Alles war in Ordnung, sauber, sehr freundliches Personal, super zentral, wunderschöne gemütliche Terrasse. Wasserkocher im Zimmer gibt es leider nicht.

This appears to be a family run/independent property. It's an old building so some rooms are really small and there is no elevator (or it wasn't working). Good breakfast options. Easy to get to Bus 100 or U1-3. Several shops/bars nearby. A good option for Berlin if you want a smaller independent property.

Hade glömt leverera handdukar och badlakan. Fick säga till i receptionen. Låg och frös hela natten. Fanns inget extra täcke eller filt som reserv i skåpen. Lampan i badrumsskåpet fungerade ej. Endast en spot i badrumstaket. Trångt badrum/wc.

Excellent central location. Short walk to Germany's largest department store KaDeWe. Short walk to Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn station. One stop to Bahnhof Zoologisher Garten, for fast trains to and from the airport. Nearby two bus stops for routes taking you to all the main tourist attractions, namely bus routes 100 and M29. Bus 100 will also take you to the hotel from Zool. Garten, and the stop to get out is Bayreuther Strasse. Hotel is in a cul de sac, so relatively quiet. Room 201 was spotless. The hotel building is the only one in the street that was not bombed in WW2, so it will really suit those who love period architecture, since it is an old period building reminiscent of Berlin before the war. Room 201 has high ceilings and a huge window overlooking a tree, so lots of fresh air. Staff allowed me to store luggage after I left at 11, and I returned to collect it a few hours later. Staff are friendly.

The room was not that clean and wasn’t cleaned at all despite me putting the sign up. The bed is super soft and the sheets can only be described as pissyellow, they might have been white once. The still use a key, which you have to leave at the reception every time. By Saturday I gave up and checked out. But it was a good reminder, that hotels isn’t where you should to save a buck. So stay far away from this hotel!

Sehr gute Lage, direkt gegenüber von KaDeWe. Zimmerausstattung gut mit Minibar, Mobiliar und Bäder allerdings in älterem Zustand. Aber alles sauber und ordentlich. Frühstücksbuffet lohnt sich nicht wirklich, Frühstücksraum nicht so gemütlich. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück klein aber fein. Negativ war vor allem, dass an jedem Abend ein ganz übler Geruch im Bad war. Irgendwann in der Nacht war er verschwunden. Die Badtür war unten an der Lüftung beschädigt. Die Lage war strategisch sehr günstig.

Ich hatte zwei gute Nächte im Hotel, auch wenn es zur Strße raus etwas laut war, zumindest bei offenem Fenster. Tolles Haus, netter Empfang. Mir hat es gut gefallen!

Be very careful with the front desk staff, as they charge you for breakfast you didn't eat and collect wrong amount of tax. When questioned, they pretend not to understand English.

The rather unfriendly check in was explained with the "fact" that there are problems with people often, so if you look foreign, you might think about booking there, because you are susceptive per se. The female receptionist told me she has a room for me that fits beautifully and asked if I was "overly sensitive", I replied I do not have earplugs with me, turns out it was very loud, loud music across the street, to my question if there were other rooms available the answer was yes. I wonder why she did that. To my critique she replied with a smile never come back again. I certainly won\'t, there\'s a lot of other hotels to choose from. I really can not recommend this place, I expected an at least pleasant stay, not to feel bad because a receptionist can\'t keep her resentments in check and because I could not catch enough sleep.

I had to fill out an application upon arrival work my personal information. Which I thought was repetitive seeing how I did that online prior to arrival. Also, if you have guest visiting you, they will ask for their identification to copy down, which I thought was a bit much. It's my first time in Berlin/Germany, if there's an issue with drug trafficking or prostitution, etc... I wouldn't know. Nor was that ever explained to me. The front desk lady just rudely ask to copy his ID or else he isn't getting in (even though I came down to walk him up). Also when you leave the building, you have to leave your key at the front desk. Yesterday evening, when I returned, there was a new man working front desk who I haven't seen before. I told him my room number and he just gave me the key to go up. I find it interesting how it was a hassle for my friend to visit me, yet another employee just gave me the key without properly identifying me. Either someone's not doing enough... Or someone's doing too much. Other than that, it was clean. Good price and good location. I wouldn't pay for the breakfast though.

Exorbitant unfreundliches Personal. Zunächst haben sie meine Buchung nicht gefunden und behaupteten, es sei nichts gebucht. Wie sich herausgestellt hat, haben sie Probleme Informationen von Expedia zu verarbeiten. Und das Problem scheint nicht selten oder neu zu sein. Sie wollten mir andrehen vor Ort nochmal zu bezahlen. Und vor allem in einem unfreundlichen und widerlichen Ton. Hoffen diese Baracke wird von Expedia entfernt.

Fint hotel som er centralt beliggende tæt på Zoo. Meget lille morgenmads restaurant, som ligger i forbindelse med receptionen/baren. Fine store værelser og der er mulighed for parkering i gården, til 15 eur pr dag.

Excellent central location. Short walk to Germany's largest department store KaDeWe. Short walk to Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn station. One stop to Bahnhof Zoologisher Garten, for fast trains to and from the airport. Nearby two bus stops for routes taking you to all the main tourist attractions, namely bus routes 100 and M29. Bus 100 will also take you to the hotel from Zool. Garten, and the stop to get out is Bayreuther Strasse. Hotel is in a cul de sac, so relatively quiet. Room 201 was spotless. The hotel building is the only one in the street that was not bombed in WW2, so it will really suit those who love period architecture, since it is an old period building reminiscent of Berlin before the war. Room 201 has high ceilings and a huge window overlooking a tree, so lots of fresh air. Staff allowed me to store luggage after I left at 11, and I returned to collect it a few hours later. Staff are friendly.

Zentral Lage am Kurfüstendamm, allerdings wird nebenan gebaut, so dass einige Beeinträchtigungen in Kauf genommen werden müssen. Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

The hotel was well located and inexpensive. Only criticism was the limited ‘hot’ selection at the breakfast buffet which was pretty awful.

Air In Berlin is an older hotel, but quite a few modern accomodations and good wifi too. The breakfast is good too. Its small, the elevator is a little strange and not actually going to the floor, but the half floor at the turn in the staircase. I would stay there again, its close to where I needed to be, the no air conditioning was not too bad as the windows opened wide, etc. There was demolition taking place two doors down. I understand as the demo moves closer, it will include the Air In Berlin hotel as well making way for progress.

Air in Berlin Hotel är ett charmigt och lite gammalt hotell. Vi tyckte att hotellet hade lite "Fawlty Towers-känsla", och då menar vi det på ett positivt sätt. Rummen är charmiga och personalen är supertrevlig. Det negativa var frukosten, den var riktigt dålig så den tog i bara första dagen. Resten av dagarna gick vi ut och åt frukost.

Einfaches Hotel im Zentrum von Berlin. Trotz der zentralen Lage in der Nähe der Gedächtniskirche ist es im Zimmer ruhig. Kleines Frühstücksbuffet, aber alles war notwendig ist. Nettes und hilfsbereites Personal.

The room was not that clean and wasn’t cleaned at all despite me putting the sign up. The bed is super soft and the sheets can only be described as pissyellow, they might have been white once. The still use a key, which you have to leave at the reception every time. By Saturday I gave up and checked out. But it was a good reminder, that hotels isn’t where you should to save a buck. So stay far away from this hotel!
