Peaceful location, good bed, nice breakfast, all in all a quite enjoyable hotel for a reasonable price. Only one complaint: the water pressure of the shower in my 5th floor room was a joke, almost non-existent. That really needs to be dealt with.

Hyggeligt og centralt beliggende hotel i et dejligt område. Værelset var enkelt, rent og med sjove detaljer. Vi kunne ha brugt en vandkoger, men klarede os uden. Morgenbuffeten var god. I really want to like this place more. The garden and lobby are comfortable. However, the there are some things that were not so great. The biggest was that I had no water in the morning for a shower. This may have been due to my room being on the top floor and the hotel being fully-booked. The plumbing may have been struggling to get water up to the top floor when everyone in the hotel was taking a shower. Between 7:30-10 am the water would start as a trickle and drop to zero in a few minutes. I mean no water at all. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, she just shrugged. When I mentioned to the manager he said he would call the plumber. Nothing changed during my weeklong stay. I switched to showering in the evening and it was plenty of hot water then. So if you choose to stay here, consider getting a room on a lower floor. Otherwise, it is a charming hotel. But if the water system cannot handle a full hotel, then perhaps the hotel should have fewer rooms.

the Birgit is located in what was East Berlin, which means that the building and those around it haven't been bulldozed and rebuilt after the Wall fell. Also, there are nearby tram lines. It is in the Mitte area, north of the Spree River, so within tram, walk, or Uber reach of the river, the museum island. Across the street is a elementary school, and the noise of kids playing is a nice touch. As expected, the room is quite small, but there is a balcony, and there is working a/c unit in the room. No room safes but the staff was kind enough to store passports etc in their secure area. The breakfast is sufficient, there is a nice garden area, as well as wicker chairs in front. The hotel is eclectic (and Rick Steves recommendation). We're glad we took his advice. Also, the small sitting area serves as a bar, if so inclined. Excellent Asian food 50 meters away. Hokey Pokey ice cream nearby, as is the oldest beer garden in Berlin. What's not to like?

Det er rigtig god værdi til pengene. Hyggeligt og rart hotel med god udeplads. Ligger helt perfekt i dejlig stille gade med lokale spisesteder. Helt tæt på de centrale områder i Mitte/Prenzlauer Berg. Birgit har dog ikke bagageopbevaring, hvis man kommer før indtjekning. Der findes kiosk i nærheden, hvor det kan købes og ellers på de større stationer.

Dejligt hotel med perfekt beliggenhed. Venligt og imødekommende personale. Ekstraopredningen var elendig, helt umulig at sove på og der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset i løbet at de 5 dage vi boede der. Men ellers var det et super hotel, hvor vi klart kommer til at bo igen, men kun to på hvert værelse 😊

Odalarda, ne telefon var ne dolap var. Ayrıca internet var diye yazmasına ragmen wifi yok maalesef. Odalar şirin ufak,kozy fakat konfor yok. Odalarda, terlik, kettle, sabun(çok cok ufak !), diş macunu bulunmuyor. Bazı odalarda koltuk bile yok.Banyo havluları çok eski. Ancak otelin yeri gayet güzel, metro U2 ye yakın.

The hotel was perfect for a couple of nights. It was nicely decorated, in a nice area and the staff were very friendly. As a suggestion for improvement; tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be wonderful. Also we unfortunately had a fire alarm in the middle of the night, obviously this wasn’t their fault but I felt it could have been better organised as we evacuated outside. There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge. Would definitely return though.

Vi blev ikke taget særlig godt imod, da vi kom for at stille vores kufferter inden check ind. Check ind tiden var kl 14, så vi vælger at komme klokken 15 for at være sikre på, at værelset var klar. Her skulle vi vente yderligere 20 minutter og fik ingen ting at vide om hotellet af receptionisten udover, hvilket værelse, der var vores. Klokken 8 morgnen efter begynder housekeeping på vores etage, som larmede som var de i gang med at gennem renovere værelset ved siden af.

Skønt lille sted med rigtig god beliggenhed i forhold til både Prenzlauerberg og Mitte samt offentlig transport. Virkelig hjælpsom personale. Dog oplevede vi en enkelt morgen, at morgenbuffeten var tom 1,5 time før man servering ophørte og der blev ikke fyldt op. Ellers er der ikke noget at bemærke.
