I loved the new pool and sauna; spent a couple of hours swimming/enjoying pool. Location of the hotel was great-near Zoo- I took a train from airport till Berlin Zoo and walked towards the hotel (taxi 5-6 minutes from the railway station). The hotel staff is attentive and helpful-overall, highly recommend; will stay again. Or maybe Weihnachtsmarkt with celebrating people and New Year vibe give additional points to the nice hotel...

Would have given the hotel 5 stars for everything, but for the bar/restaurant area. It took 20 minutes, to get a drink, same again to get a even get a menu. There appeared to be plenty of staff, but there was no organisation, e.g. 2 people serving a table for 1, but no staff attending to those outside. We had dinner our second night, but went elsewhere thereafter. One shining exception to this was Magdalene, who covered all of us sitting outside, with swift service, wonderful wit, and attentive attitude. She was outstanding.

Das Hotel ist sehr unpersönlich. An der Rezeption Wartezeit, von dem vorhandenen Personal, hat sich nur die Hälfte mit den Gästen beschäftigt, das restliche Personal hat sich mit sich selbst beschäftigt. Kein Gepäckservice zum Zimmer. Im Zimmer kein Tresor. Die Hotel Garage ist unverschämt teuer 36 € und dabei total schlecht. Mit einem größeren Wagen, kommt man aus der Ausfahrt nicht raus, man muß über die Einfahrt ausfahren, sonst zerlegt man sein Fahrzeug. Nie wieder.

First was given wrong room but was immedietly solved by the receiptionist. The 2nd room i was given was not properly cleaned. Hair pin from previous guest in the bathroom, dirty sock, and some plastic pins around the curtian floor. This was supposed to be solved but never was. Except for the cleaniness everything else was good.

Zimmer: Sauberkeit und Instandhaltung ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig! Schlecht gesaugt, Bettkasten mit Schuhabdrücken beschmutzt, Innenraum der Nachttischschubladen mit Schokoladenstückchen vom Vorgast o.ä. übersät, Minibar mit teils leeren Flaschen bestückt, TV-Bild hakt. Die Ecken in Duschkabine und Toilettenkabine schmuddelig und schimmelig. Der Duschabfluss voller Haare, Duschköpfe verkalkt, Brause hält nicht an der Duschstange, der Schlauch knickt ab. Sowas habe ich in einem Fünf-Sterne-Hotel wahrlich noch nie sehen müssen. Rohrverdeckungen der Toilette lose von der Wand schwingend, Glühbirnen funktionieren teilweise nicht. Das Zimmertelefon wollte man ohne Papiertuch gar nicht erst anfassen! Im Flurbereich zwischen Zimmertüre und Aufzugsvorraum verstreuter Schmutz. An der Rezeption bescheid gegeben (sowohl die Unsauberkeit des Zimmers, als auch jene im Flur), durften wir den beschmutzten Boden bis zu unserer Abreise täglich passieren. Das heißt, in vier Tagen wurde nicht einmal im Hotelflur gesaugt. Frühstück: Trotz Inklusivrate wird eine extra Gebühr von EUR 96,00 für Zimmerfrühstück (zwei Personen) erhoben. Eine Roomservice Charge ist kein Problem. Jedoch doppelt bezahlen? Auch noch nicht erlebt. Pool / Sauna: Angekommen im SPA, circa. 19:30 Uhr, sind EUR 40,00 für zwei Saunagänge doch etwas over the top bei Schließung um 21 Uhr und keinerlei Liegen verfügbar waren da sie scheinbar alle mit alten Badetüchern des Tages „reserviert“ waren.

Large and modern hotel in a convenient location about ten minutes from Zoo station. Should be a 5 Star review but we had a cleanliness issue with the room on check-in, quickly resolved however. The pool and spa are excellent - note charged extra. The family room 2nd bed was small for children over ten if sharing. Breakfast is amazing - top quality and varied.

Very good hotel. Excellent location. Only details on the room I would comment: coffee machine was not clean and in fact the machine had the cleaning required light on. There was a lot of dust in some drawers. Overall very nice hotel.

Fully equipped bathroom with lovely touches including shower and hand washes. Plenty of fresh towels, with slippers and robes. There was a coffee machine and some pods provided, a complimentary bottle of water. The fridge only has a small space for your own items so you cannot store milk and water which was a small inconvenience as if you move anything it will register that you have consumed something from the mini bar. The room came with hanging space and and iron. The television was a good size with plenty of information about the hotel and local area which was helpful. The air conditioning unit was not functioning well despite a member of staff coming to check it for us after a very warm first night. It did improve slightly but perhaps for the size of the room it wasn't really enough, it did feel quite hot most of the time. The bed was ok. Two beds together to create a king. The pillows were very soft and didn't provide much support but there is an option to request additional/different pillows which you can find on the television menu, which is helpful. The hotel was very quiet and with additional black out curtains behind the day curtains you can guarantee a peaceful sleep. The breakfast is exceptional - many different options to suit all preferences. The service is also great. Everyone was super polite and professional and friendly, from the breakfast staff to the front desk and beyond. The only feedback would be some firmer pillows and better air con.

The hotel itself is situated next to Berlin Zoo which is far away on foot from Central part located between The Brandenburger Tor and Berliner Dome. Hotel looks a bit outdated and plastic, deserves a decent refurbishment. Our room had faulty shower producing only boiling water (replaced 24 hours after arrival), but in the meantime we were allowed into neighbouring room to take a shower. Minibar fridge was blocked , but nobody turned up to unblock it although we phoned twice. Safe was running out of battery, so they came to replace whole safe with appropriate drilling to fixate a new safe into wardrobe. Prices of room service are completely ridiculous. For all the inconvenience (shower, minibar and safe) we were offered one free entry to the SPA and swimming pool which is usually charged even for hotel guests in a deluxe room. Breakfast is also ridiculously overpriced so we didn't bother. I do not recommend this hotel, if you have a money, get a better choice in Central Berlin.

Wir hatten zunächst ein Familienzimmer direkt neben den Fahrstühlen. Die Geräusche abends, wenn alle zu ihren Zimmern oder zum Essen gehen waren extrem störend. Der Gästeseervice war sehr um eine Lösung bemüht und hat uns sehr gute Zimmer in einem ruhigen Bereich des Hotels angeboten. So stellt man sich Kundenservice vor, auch wenn das erste Zimmer nicht vergeben werden darf. Das ist für so einen Preis nicht zumutbar.

The equipment in the room is a bit old. Switch for the shower head and bath tap was hard to control and water leaked. The breakfast restaurant was really crowded when there were conferences. I was asked to share a table… Air con in the room works well. I really like the smell of the shower gel and shampoo. Convenient and safe location. Service was ok.

The Hotel reception, lobby staff, restaurant/dining were all friendly and professional. The check in was quick. The lobby was beautiful and inviting as were the bar and public areas. Our hotel room was spacious and very comfortable (inner room view not that great but it didn’t matter.. the hotel was lovely.) The breakfast room is beautiful with a lovely stain glass dome and the choice was amazing.. literally anything/everything you could ask for including chef cooked omelettes. Excellent. The hotel location is near the Zoo (very close) walkable to the stores, lots of restaurants (10mins), transport (bus stop) is outside.. a taxi always available out front.. the Tiergarten is walkable.. for us a great location. A lovely visit..

Alles so, wie man es von einem Haus dieser Klasse erwarten darf. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, gut eingerichtet. Das Bad ist groß und bietet Dusche und eine große Badewanne. Bügeleisen vorhanden. Sehr freundliches Personal beim Checkin und Checkout.

Staff was amazing. Write us a letter and gave us a gift for us celebrating a special event. Room was nice, and buffet was great, overall I'd say I'll be staying with them again if I return to Berlin. They had a great gym there for a hotel, and that really was a huge bonus.

WE were checking in, changing rooms after a stay booked through Viking. We were told, leave our bags in the room, we could pace our valuables in the safe and our new room would be available in the afternoon. when we returned desk could Our valuables, including passports, jewelry and cash were not in the safe but in the luggage room. The employee who took our valuables indicated she didn't understand what we meant by the safe, but she commented no one would think w would place our passports in a shopping bag. Our luggage was still in the old room. We were assured it would be moved. A n hour later, I returned to the desk and only when I advised the woman at the desk I needed my medication did she send someone to look for the luggage. A wonderful hotel with excellent service and an abysmal staff at reception. Not sure if anything was taken from our valuables since it never occurred to us that they would not be secure.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Berlin. The room is beautiful and it is a Classic Room. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. And the shower is great; bedding is comfortable. We chose this place because we are on a Viking cruise and came early to experience the city for a couple of days. The only thing we don’t like is the location. It is far from the tourist spots. We have to Uber or walk about 2 miles to the closest spot (Brandenberg Gate). That’s the reason we are here. Maybe for business trips the location is better.

Der Bus 200 hält direkt vor dem Hotel. Die millionenschwere Renovierung ist u. E. nicht so gut gelungen. Die Zimmer verfügen teilweise über keine Dusche, duschen nur in der hohen Badewanne möglich. Frühstück nur über lange Wege durch leere Räume erreichbar. Preis Leistung stimmt beim Frühstück nicht. Am ersten Tag denkt man noch okay. Wir waren 4 Tage da, jeden Tag die gleichen vier nicht hochwertigen Käsesorten, nur abgepackte Päckchen Butter, Margarine, Philadelphia, kleine Leberwürstchen, rohen Schinken, Salami, Putenbrust, Roastbeef. Brotauswahl z. B. kein Baguette, Weißbrot. Eierstation gut. Wenn das Frühstück nicht im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen ist, würde ich mir überlegen, ob es 43 Euro wert ist.

Great hotel, lovely room and very nice staff. Room was very large with fantastic bathroom. Staff attentive throughout stay. Points for improvement would be breakfast service - chaotic, food almost cold (bacon and scrambled egg) and sometimes offered coffee sometimes not. Breakfast room could do with being renovated. Hot water was problematic for two days.
