After a long roadtrip from Epernay, was it nice to meet friendly receptionist and getting a large room. Glad to be able to park in a garage and have direct access with the elevator. The room was nice, comfy and there was a bed a bowl for the dogs. Highly appreciated. The bathroom was nice , but difficult to take a shower with out splashing water all over the bathroom floor. We wanted to have something to eat at the restaurant which closed at nine and we came 8:55 - so no food. Well we could have got something small. But we where hungry. So went to a restaurant outside. No where near to rest the dogs, a lot of glass. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep so good, due to a raving party outside with screaming and loud music all night! Although there is a police station next door - they didn’t intervene. So even more glass an loitering outside next morning. Bea hotel but the location next to the trainstation is far from ideal.

Stayed 1 night

We were staying one night, breaking up a journey from Potsdam to Calais. The hotel was excellent for our needs, spacious bedroom, great bathroom and the breakfast was the best we experienced in 9 days in Germany and Belgium. My only word of caution is that the hotel whilst ideally placed for anyone travelling by train, it is about a 10/15 minute walk from the desirable part or Bielefeld. In fact the approach to the hotel was typified by run down shops and what appeared to be experiencing hard times. That said we would seek out Steinberger hotels if we are travelling in Germany again
