Loved the location centrally located near many attractions. The zoo is only a few minutes’ walk along many others. Subway station is also only 2 blocks away. \nGreat staff, wonderful breakfast which is highly recommended and friendly staff. \nAlso, very clean and spacious rooms. Really enjoyed our two nights at RIU Plaza Berlin. Very nice clean room with everything we needed. Friendly helpful staff. Nice bar for a couple of beers after getting back late in the evening. Nice easy access to Wittenbergplatz U Bahn.

Great location near Wittenbergplatz station. Breakfast was ok (as long as you choose coffee machine instead of pot). Room was a bit dusty, sheets didn't stay on their place and the gym was a bit small. Overall more positive things - could be there again.

We booked a junior suite at Riu Plaza. Initially, we were assigned room 406, which was disappointing: dull view, dirty window panes, tiles sticking out in the bedroom, and most importantly, the air conditioning didn’t work properly. It was far too warm for us to sleep comfortably. We asked the receptionist to have the AC checked while we went out for dinner. Unfortunately, when we returned, nothing had been done, and the receptionist even took it upon himself to judge that the room temperature was ‘fine’ for sleeping — which we found quite inappropriate. It’s a shame that we had to argue strongly to be moved to another room (206), which was much better and in the same category. On the positive side, breakfast was very good and the location is convenient for restaurants and public transport. Overall, our stay was just OK — but we were disappointed by the poor level of service, especially for a suite in a 4-star hotel.”

Very average stay at the Riu Berlin Plaza. Service was fine and the hotel has a big lobby but room was quite underwhelming. More like a 2-3* hotel than a 4*. Better options available at this price point.

This is a lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast had a good choice however there was never any breakfast tea available. I asked a staff member and they said there is none available. If you like a cuppa in the morning probably best to take your own. The rooms are a good size and everything was clean.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life, and while this one looks nice from the outside, the rooms don’t really live up to expectations. The standard is average – not above, not below – but certainly not impressive. One of the biggest issues was the shower. It clearly hasn’t been descaled in ages, and the water pressure was so weak and uneven that you literally had to run around under the shower just to get wet. This is simply unacceptable. Doesn’t anyone regularly check that things in the rooms actually work? It feels like it only gets looked at once a year – if that. On the positive side, the breakfast was really good. Parking, however, was another major disappointment. With a larger car, it’s almost impossible to fit. Luckily, I didn’t bring my Toyota Hilux – otherwise it would have been hopeless. The hotel should be more transparent about this. The parking spaces are clearly designed only for small cars. All in all: the price and location are fine, but the shower and parking situation are a big letdown. I left disappointed and would not recommend or return to this hotel.

The hotel is lovely, in terms of decoration, cleanliness and customer service. Rooms are spacious and well designed. The breakfast was excellent too. The location is good too with a 5 min stroll to the Wittenberg U-bahn which has excellent connections to all parts of Berlin. It is a pleasant 40 min walk to the Brandenburg Gate via the Tiergarten. Berlin is a great city to learn about 20th Century history as it was literally at the pivot of European geopolitics.

Very impressed with hotel and staff. One drawback was room didn’t have coffee. Room got made each day but there was never coffee replenished. Just one tea bag and sugar packs. Other than that glitch the hotel was great.

Great hotel in good location. Very close to Metro, and lovely restaurants close by. Easy to walk in to the centre through the Tiergarten. Free parking was a bonus. Reception staff could be a bit friendlier.

Fantastic hotel in a great location, lovely restaurants nearby and shopping. Easy transport links. \nBreakfast at the hotel was superb and the room clean, quiet and well decorated. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. \nCannot fault our stay and would definitely return.

Service and staff were what differentiated the the Rui Plaza, great checkin and cleaning standard in the room was high. Comfortable beds, Great shower (hot water, good pressure). Really good rate for the standard of hotel. Aircon quiet and effective, Important as windows didn’t open. Breakfast price a bit high and had to hunt for power sockets with none on the desk area. Otherwise a very good stay.
