Family of 4, cramped room with 2 roll out beds taking all floor space. Breakfast was good, no queuing which was a nice change to some recent stays. Hotel bar/restaurant, very busy. We decided to go off site as it wasn’t what we wanted as a family. Slow service for drinks also. My main issue is how the hotel is sold as having a swimming pool. This is true, however be aware children are only allowed in at certain times of the day and you would expect the pool to be open during these times however there is always 2 thirds of the pool taken up by swim lanes. Then the final third was crammed full of families. Although this was even more crammed when the water aerobics was on which left the remaining pool about 1/6 free for children. It was clear the members did. It want the guests in and around the leisure facilities. I assume equally as frustrated as the families. The hot tub was also broken during our stay which was annoying.

Service upon entry was good, staff help you with touch screen check in, they were friendly and respectful. There is a £5.00 charge to park there. The lift was broken so put on the 2nd only problem was the gym is on the 1st floor with thumping music loud as hell till after 9 from what I can remember. Overall okay for a night on a business trip.

Rooms are well used so not the cleanest, a bit dusty. I've found thos with all the Village Hotels though. Great pool and sauna areas. Some staff are fantastic, some aren't as friendly. Good place to stay though.

Dear Village Hotel Bournemouth Team, I stayed at your hotel this past week for a business trip and wanted to share some feedback. From Tuesday onwards, the lift was out of order, which meant I had to walk up to the fifth floor several times a day. This was very inconvenient and made my stay far less comfortable than expected. I had planned to book another four weeks with you, but given this experience, I’m unsure whether to go ahead. Could you let me know if this issue has been resolved, or if there are measures in place to prevent this happening again? I’d appreciate your response before I make my next booking decision.

The heating didn't work in the room, none of the sickets next to the bed. The leisure facilities would be great if sauna and steam room would wirk,like was advised in their website. Jacuzzi was so busy,so we could get there just once in 3 hours time been there,so no pleasure at all,then you have to queuere and keep checking,not just relaxing. Not a single water fountain, first leisure where I couldn't find a single water fountain.

Nice staff very friendly. Family room was cramped, but not much they can do with the room size. Steam room was broken, no kids allowed in the pool after 5.30. £5 to park when your staying there. Barely any vegetarian options at the restarunte. Veggie burgers had sold out at 7, chips and onion ring cone ordered. No onion rings left either. So chips it was. Food for others was good. Likely won't stay again if purely for the cheek of charging to park at a hotel your staying in.

Dirty everywhere. Old water stains in the bathroom, mould in bathtub and inadequate lighting in the room. Very obvious cleanliness is overlooked in this hotel. Thank goodness we only stayed a night. Premier Inn would have been a much better choice.

Very disappointed with the room and cleaning standards. We booked club room with KING bed. On arrival we were checked in and on arrival in the allocated room we were disappointed with what we found. Bed is not a king bed but at most queen size. The tea and coffee making facility was full of dust and kettle dirty. All walls had scratches. Bathroom was very dirty showers tray had some dirty bits. Most shocking was the wall under the think and behind the toilet. The door was open and sun was shining on and you could see all the dirty marks and I will leave it to your imagination. We asked to be moved to twin room and they moved as to standard twin room which was a bit better but because of the dark decor you can see all scratches. Then on top off everything in the gym after swimming used the drying machine in the changing rooms and it burned the brand new swimming costume. That £50 in the bin. We are regular guest at the village hotels but this was the worst we had stayed at. So no return for us.

Poor hotel got kved to 2 different rooms because of the poor cleanliness off thr rooms. Dirty underwear in the bed on 1st room, blinds broken in 2nd room, and 3rd room was just filthy

We had a good time as the facilities were brilliant (indoor pool and jacuzzi) which were included in our stay. Our king sized bed was very comfortable. Some minors though, we noticed that our room was not very clean (plenty of hair stuck in the chair in our room- not our hair) and the floor not cleaned very well either. We would really suggest improving the cleanliness aspect of this hotel as it would massively enhance one's experience.

I have stayed at various village hotels before and this one really fell short of my expectations. I was disappointed with my stay. The room had lots of stains all over the carpet and feels in need of some renovations. However finding a pair of men’s boxers behind the bathroom door was the worst part. This shows the level of cleaning. These were removed when I let the check in staff know thankfully.

Limited access to the pools for kids Limited adjoining rooms. Can’t book in as a family with kids in a separate room. Kids ended up away from us Not much light in some of the bedrooms. Windows only opened 1cm so no air so had to use the ac the whole time Beds were comfortable

Room was ok. Even though we have booked a club room, there was no entertainment facilities available (Sky remote was missing and staff did not know that should be there even). Bed was with two single mattress put together even though said a king size bed. Breakfast was a disaster. All the hot stations were cold. Bacon was cold and soggy, eggs were dry and beans was cold. Coffee machine only had black coffee, coffee tasted old.
Room was ok. Even though we have booked a club room, there was no entertainment facilities available (Sky remote was missing and staff did not know that should be there even). The gym was very noisy at 19:00 and lovely to be woken by the first gym session of the day at 06:30, even if we hadn't wanted to wake up that early. Croissants were stale even at 07:30 so that's not good. I won't book here again and won't recommend the hotel.

Rooms tired and dated wallpaper in the bedrooms. We had a club room and so disappointed that we left a day early. Unless you’re a massive sports fan, the downstairs is taken over by sports TV. There are no quiet areas. The shower worked and bed was comfy and despite being across the road from the hospital. It wasn’t too noisy. The windows open only an inch and no curtains, just a broken roller blind. Staff were not helpful and we weren’t informed when the only lift broke and were stranded on the 4th floor as unable to manage the stairs. We couldn’t face eating in the hotel and went out for breakfast and evening meal. We won’t be returning.

There were no doors on our wardrobe, the bathroom door had no latch or lock, maintanence had to be called for the tv to work. We had to wait nearly an hour for our evening meal and the breakfast wasn’t great and stock was low. The room was clean though.

From the minute I walked in the manager Palo clocked me . I was feeling rather down . I was on my own and probably looked a mess. There was no judgement. He was so so kind and understanding. In fact all the staff were incredible . As a lady on her own I have never felt more safe and looked after in my life . I honestly recommend to anyone and everyone. I’ve stayed at high end hotels and this hotel topped them all .

Got checked in by a very friendly chap and went to my room to find two single mattresses made up on the floor. Went back down to reception to make sure I wasn't in the wrong room and was told by the always rude lady receptionist with the red hair that I should move them myself to under the bed. If it wasn't in a convenient location I'd stop staying here because of her.

I have stayed here a few times and on this trip I ordered room service. It’s the first time I have eaten at the hotel and my meal was delivered with no cutlery. Get some sent up was a joke you have no phone to call reception just a QR code for a chat bot. After. Answer a number of questions way more than necessary to get through to a person I sat wait for a response for over 10 minutes while my food got cold. In the end I called the central reservation number the only number I could find. They called the hotel and finally someone brought me cutlery. I think I’ll go back to eating out and not eat at the hotel again. The food wasn’t even worth the wait

the main bar was being renovated which wasn't mentioned at the time of booking online - the "reserve" bar was staffed by a number of young people but one of them was rather arrogant in his demeanor - i was told at reception the football would be on the tv in the secondary bar but the same person clearly couldn't be bothered to make it happen - the game was live on terrestrial tv so shouldn't have been an issue - don't know his name but he frequently referred to myself (and other males) as "boss" - someone needs to have word with him because I was very close to it - pity, as I'm a big fan of Village Hotels and use them frequently outside of work - I usually need a room around 3 times a week for business and I won't say it'll put me off using all Village hotels, but I might well look around when I'm in the Bournemouth area.

When we arrived, which was after check in time, the rooms were not ready. Even though the receptionist was good enough to give us vouchers for drinks while we waited, that was not the point. We needed to check in, get changed and go to a business meeting in a hurry. As it was, I had to call the business we were meeting with and explain the situation. We made it on time but only just. It's a nice hotel but there's room for improvement in this area. We had breakfast and it was a bit hap hazard as well. Very little left at 8AM and I did not see any replenishing. One teen boy was cleaning tables as fast as he could. One teen girl was putting flat ware down as fast as he could clean them. They seemed under staffed to say the least. But the room was clean and comfortable. I give them that.

Customer service was top notch.Went there for a quick 3 day trip for our 25th wedding anniversary before flying out later in the month. I tried my luck and asked the hotel room to be decorated to reflect the occasion and Village hotel delivered big time! They decorated the room with flowers and gave us a whole bottle of expensive Champagne to grace the occasion as well. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised and impressed- Thank you so much Village hotel , we will surely be back. Hotel also has good restaurants and does fantastic grilled food and you have to try one of their burgers. Good quality hotel with fantastic customer service. We will be back !

Avoid, breakfast time table has been change withoiut informing and the hotel not longer suiutable for week end worker at hospital I have requested refund for pre paid breakfast and nothing has happended so far. The quality of food from hotel PuB was awful, £ 17 pounds for a salad with barely salad, onion !! The food for nearby TESCO much better. The only reason to book there is the gym

Have stayed many times. Unfortunately the lift broke down and as I'm in a wheelchair, they kindly advised me which was appreciated and they would let me know when it was fixed. However after ordering room service and waiting over an hour, i chased up and clearly the order hadn't even been processed. They offered some refund (still waiting on that). But what itritated me the most is they never bothered to advise me the lift was fixed. I called reception in the end in the morning to be told oh yes its been fixed. Not impressed.

Good size room which was clean. Spacious bathroom. Noisy restaurant but food very good. Hotel just beside Bournemouth Royal Hospital which we needed. We therefore didn’t use the gym, pool and spa. I played at the nearby Christchurch Golf Course.

Bedroom was a reasonable size with a small hard bed, it felt like the bathroom was in the room. When we arrived we checked beforehand the restaurants on the website. Last orders for food were 930 we arrived at 920 on a friday night, kitxhen was closed. Couldnt even get ketchup for a takeaway we had delivered. In the morning woken up by the air ambulance across the car park. This went on theough the early hours of the morning. We woke up in the morning to loud voices outaide our room, it was the cleaners. They even entered our room thinking we had checked out. The proceeded to ahout down the hallway, there was someone in the room. We got up and had a below average breakfast and chaecked out. We will not use this hotel again.

The food in the hotel restaurant was poor and very poor value for money. The wine was extremely expensive. Other than the restaurant food, the hotel was good. I wouldn’t eat in the hotel again. Incidentally the breakfast was very good! The parking was expensive and we should have been informed during the booking process that parking was not free

Room was ok. Even though we have booked a club room, there was no entertainment facilities available (Sky remote was missing and staff did not know that should be there even). Bed was with two single mattress put together even though said a king size bed. Breakfast was a disaster. All the hot stations were cold. Bacon was cold and soggy, eggs were dry and beans was cold. Coffee machine only had black coffee, coffee tasted old.

Staff are very helpful, empathetic and accommodating. Accommodation is clean and well laid out. Leaves one feeling comfortable and well rested. Restaurant food was amazing. Very good quality produce, fresh and well prepared. 10/10 for food and service in the restaurant. Unfortunately we only overnighted so did not have the time to make use of other facilities.

The fish in your fish and chips was microwaved which explains the soggy batter, the chips were made from reconstituted potato. Finally, how did one turn on the shower? there was no indication of hat to do. Otherwise, all was satisfactory, but the bed was lovely!

Probably the best of the ‘chain’ accommodation I’ve stayed at. Good rooms, great shower, and excellent facilities. Just don’t do late breakfast as they tend not to top up the food , so I literally had scraps at 9.40am.

Our stay was good although couple of areas that could be improved. At breakfast on both days there didn't appear to be anyone ensuring that things were kept available, juice, plates, cereals had to be requested as had run out, bread was very dried and could be covered easily to avoid this. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Prefer to have a personal communication on arrival which wasn't the case when we arrived and had to do own check-in. Someone did arrive when we had completed and apologised but we had already muddled through. Nice hotel and comfortable.

Clean and tidy room. Hotel is a bit in the middle of no where so you will have to drive or get transport if you want to go into Bournemouth town or to the beach.

I booked this last minute as the original hotel i booked wasn’t good. Rooms clean, beds comfortable and i liked the fact they have an onsite bar and restaurant, i was travelling on my own so this was ideal.

Our room was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the breakfast was very monotonous and the coffee was terrible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. At the weekend there was a large group of travellers in the bar and they were very rude to the staff. The atmosphere was very intimidating both for the staff and customers.Some of them were making racist comments. Their children were feral. We avoided the bar when they were present. Management should have done something.
