The bloody car park is a nightmare. Which they acknowledge

The property was well situated in Spring Hill opposite parkland and in easy walking distance to the cbd. When I stayed there was no parking available

Very tight parking area ok for a mini, no room service phone!

Good facilities and friendly staff. The only down side is the carpark is very tight.

Good position with parkland opposite. Free bus to the city at door. Great breakfast. Pool area with afternoon shade is just what's needed after a day of discovering Brisbane

Had a good size pool and balconies on some rooms, sliding was very difficult to open though

Had a good stay at this hotel but the parking was a nightmare. The hotel offers one of the worst car parks. There are so many pillars to work around in the car park. Unfortunately my car got scratched with one of the pillars and had some damage. Suffered a loss of $750 due to that. Hope the hotel management takes a note of this incident. They better do not offer car parking and charge customers with $25 fees.

Mercure hotel is located in a very convenient location in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. Our room had a magnificent view of the city. The quality of food offered at the breakfast buffet could have been improved. However, the cafe had a great vibe and live music at nights. The hotel parking was also a little pricey considering you had to maneuver between pillars to park properly. Overall, we had great experience and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to explore Brisbane.

Great place to stay, just don’t take a big car in the car park!

Access to central Brisbane. The staff were excellent. Most things i could walk to. Room was clean. Gym was good enough. Construction noise was consistent.

We arrived with 4 persons, one disabled in a wheelchair and with 4 suitcases. No one to help with luggage so we had to take 2 at a time to the room. Also, no shower chair in the room for disabled person. Also in the shower all black mold on shower floor, so I feel lucky only stayed 1 night

To be woken up at 6.50 am to construction next door - it should have been disclosed prior to booking and the cost of accommodation reduced accordingly. When we returned to the hotel after a night out the duty manager did not even look up from his computer let alone acknowledge us. We climbed into bed only to discover the sheets were stained. We ordered a buffet breakfast but had to ask if we could get coffees - yes you can have only one barista coffee and I you want more you will have to pay. So many more issues - we will never stay there again.

Very clean accessible to train station

I personally was happy with the room at first, however I’d like tot see this moment to say that there was mould in the shower over the walls and also mould on the air vents. Should there be no mould at all it would have been no problem.

The sitting area in the lobby is comfortable with lots of seats. I am so excited to get upgraded to an ensuite room with living room. The hotel is conveniently located even though you need to walk uphill from the city. Not only the hotel lobby, the room is also spacious, very clean and tidy. We feel very comfortable staying in and it's quiet during the weekend. Just one problem with the room: The sliding doors from balconies are unable to lock. Other than that everything in room is absolutely perfect. We tried the pre-booked breakfast buffet ($22 each) and sadly it doesn't include much choices. The buffet banner from the hotel entrance showed salmon in description but we didn't find any. Before we entered the restaurant for buffet, staff told us more food was coming but ended up none. Lastly a nightmare happened when we returned to the hotel from dinner one night. We found a cockroach crawling in our room around the entrance area. We killed it and reported to reception immediately. We understand that pest exists everywhere so we just let the staff took it away instead of changing room in such a late evening. We actually found this hotel very tidy and clean so we wondered if this is just a single case. Anyway, apart from the pest issue, I enjoyed staying in this hotel in general with a good value and comfy room to stay for a short trip. Highly recommend!

The room I was staying had ant in my bed and sound isolation wasnt good at all, I could hear wverything feom next room and distrub my sleep. No complain about service tho.

Pretty dirty. The shower was full of mold and mildew. Carpet was really dirty and the beds were not very comfortable.

Free upgrade was given from a queen room to a king suite. Great view over Roma street parkland. Room was clean and comfortable.

Close to Roma St Station and the city. Air conditioner was noisy and difficult to adjust.

Initially assigned a room facing a construction site. Rectified promptly when complained. Wondered why reception thought it was appropriate to assign a room like this. Trying to get away with it? Not good. Otherwise, great location, next to Roma park and a short walk to the train station.

Noisiest room I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in hundreds)

Walked into the room the tv and internet where not working They fixed the tv but never fixed the internet problems I was told by the lovely manager it was my phone I spent most of the night in reception watching sports on my phone the only place internet would work I went to bed and tried to sleep but was bitten hundreds of times by what I can only guess was bed bugs Happy to send you the picture it was horrific The room was not cleaned to a standard that I would ever stay again It’s a pity because I’ve stayed at this hotel only recently But after this experience surely never again Shame on you pacific

I had two main problems- Worst internet I have ever encountered in any accomodation anywhere! I had to use my own hotspot for my entire stay. Even the TV buffered!! When I asked for my kettle to be replaced as it wasnt working, it never arrived- I fell asleep waiting! So, I had to call again in the morning.

Very conveniently located near the park and the train station. Staff was very friendly and nice, however I was surprised by the room condition. It's much smaller than expected from pictures, The walls are very weared down with cracks and . The ventilation system was very dusty. In the room no info about hotel amenities like breakfast time or WiFi name, only room service menu. Carpet had a few permanent stains and when I checked in there were lots of dirt from previous stay that wasn't vacuum cleaned at all. It was especially annoying due to my late arrival when there's no time or strength to change the room. Next day i asked to vacuum clean the room - better but still pieces of dirt. The similar picture in the corridor as well, so it felt like the vacuum cleaner doesn't work properly even if tried to use it. Sound isolation between the rooms was terrible, the people staying in the next one was loudly arguing until 2AM which wasn't fun to hear. Around 3AM very noisy rubbish truck or towing truck was waking me up. Breakfast was okay. And they have very nice hair conditioner. In overall I would recommend it only if you

Overall ok for the price - A$135. Room was a bit worn in places - same as most Mercures I’ve ever stayed in. Standard buffet breakfast which was well presented and included barista coffee. For some radon staff decided at 16C to open all the doors to deck area - it was very breezy. Free bus outside down to city or an easy walk. Area is a bit sketchy with lots of unhomed people. Construction next door was not too obtrusive.

Checked in given a room. All the plug ins for the room didnt work. Had to move to a different room. No offer of assistance to help move luggage. They need more staff. Only one person at the desk. People getting frustrated having to wait.

Major construction going on around the hotel that starts working at 6am. Also worse check In ever. Despite booking 1 year in advance was told they had overbooked and wanted to move me and elderly family member to hotel treble distance from cbd. Wasn’t until I asked if any guests booked after me for same room type were given room they miraculously found a room available

We booked this hotel months prior to our stay. I called a week before to confirm parking and was told parking was onsite. When we arrived we were told car park was full and to park on the street. We had a late night and had to set alarm for 630am to go and pay for street parking metre. Couldn’t move car as we had a few drinks. Hotel lift was broken and patrons waiting over 10 min to go off their floor. We expressed our dilemmas with the front desk and they couldn’t care less. We could’ve stayed anywhere. This hotel was old sad dated and the service was rubbish. The fact people drive to their hotel and they can’t accommodate a vehicle even though they say they can is a joke. Do not stay here ever!!

Close walk to the centre of Brisbane Staff went above and beyond to make your stay comfortable

Appeared to be under staffed or staff did not care about customers. Long cues and long waits in restaurant and front desk. Room service not answering phones etc. Very noisy in this city building on the upper floors. Windows are not double glassed. You can hear every thing that goes on in the city at night.

We were only there for one night as we were going to a concert . The staff at the bar were extremely helpful as I needed my food that I brought with me heated up as the kitchen was closed and I didn’t wish to order room service. However, I found the Staff on reception quite rude and pretty much ignored me and my question. We ordered room service at 11 pm. It took more than 30 minutes to arrive to our room. It arrived stone cold and the food was absolutely terrible. Not worth $100 that we spent on it at all. The room however was nice and clean. We were on a balcony which we loved. The beds were comfy, especially the pillows. What we paid for the room for one night, however the facilities did not reflect that. I do not recommend getting room service from this place.

Liked: The location. Didn't like: 1. The fact that I had to provide my ID again at check in, since I had done it online in advance as I received an email from the hotel, which is not much of an issue, just wanted to mention as it came as a surprise to upload my id online to have smooth check in process. 2.The check in process: The reception checked us in a room that was not at all as per our expectation, firstly it was on the ground floor level which meant a lot of traffic of people going towards the pool / gym and secondly the room had no view just the rear car park area, we felt that we were given then least occupied room at the hotel at the first instance by the reception/check in team. 3. Bottled water was not provide in the room and we had to request it on both days of our stay - mineral water was not offered (which is fine) but we thought the hotel does provide bottled water. 4. Breakfast option was quite expensive per person, not that we were too eager to avail it at the hotel. 5. Parking is quiet expensive @25/- per day, however it was good that we had a mid sized rental car, otherwise parking in the hotel car park is very tricky due to high number of pillars and it felt like I was giving a driving test at least 2 - 3 times a day. The scratch marks on most pillars proved my case here. 6.Lastly the reception staff - need further development / training in improving their customer service standards in order to treat guests with greater respect and courtesy.

Great location, close to CBD. Easy walk through Roma Street Station to get to Suncorp.

The staffs were all friendly and kind with always offering for their support. It's only the location where nearby park getting a little too dark at night that made me uncomfortable.

It was convenient to all shopping and eating outlets friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Loved our stay, Easy stroll into the city, but pleasantly quiet and relaxed at the hotel with the beautiful Roma Park Gardens on your doorstep. Friendly staff and clean, generous sized rooms.

No room key when I arrived due to a new system issue so needed to be escorted to my room several times before receiving my own key. No hot water for my shower on the first night but got resolved thankfully. Food at the hotel restaurant was over priced and awful with my meal sent back due it it being frozen in the middle. I received a $4 discount which was quite poor customer service. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the location is great with buses, trains and walking distance into the city. Buffet breakfast was good and the free coffee with breakfast a nice surprise.

No kettle, restaurant and bar closed without notice to customers when booking, building work on next door site. No advise to clients. Work started at 6.30

Great location in the middle of everything. Italian restaurant very well small menu to chose from but everything we ordered was well presented and very tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Very helpful friendly staff

Very basic room with poor outlook and many faults which staff did take care of after complaints. Disappointing that verandah bar and restaurant were closed on both of our nights.

The breakfast was excellent.

Only problem I had was that I had the shower head in my my hand, the water came out from above, and I had to dry my hair again. Didn't know how to use the coffee machine, and could have done with a biscuit. All done I was happy with the hotel and staff.
