Mooi hotel op loopafstand van station en winkelcentrum. Zwembad is niet (heel erg) verwarmd maar prima te doen. Betaald parkeren, maar direct onder hotel voor schappelijke prijs.

Leider war die Minibar nicht bestückt. Restaurant war geschlossen. Leider nur öffentliche Garage. Pro Tag 12 Euro - oder pro Stunde 2,50 Euro. Service im Restaurant hat im Laufe der Jahre leider stark nachgelassen. Es gibt nicht einmal mehr Untertassen zu den Kaffee-Bechern.

CheckIn avec 1h de retard. 1ere chambre l´electricité saute. 1h d´attente pour avoir une nouvelle chambre a 19h30 (en Pyjama avec ma fille dans le hall d´entré de l´hotel). Piscine indisponible jusqu´en Avril mais cela n´est indiqué nul part! 10h la femme de menage qui entre dans la chambre. Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hotel.

We stayed for four nights. Room was clean, front desk helpful, but the elevator broke twice. The second time we requested to be put on a lower floor as we were on floor 5 (with two floors below 1 so 7 flights of stairs). They did accommodate that but did not offer to help us move anything. We specifically booked this hotel because it had a small pool which would be helpful for my husband’s muscle issues after standing all day at a conference. It was broken and moreover, the front desk implied it had been broken since they could remember - something that should really be put on the website! Room service was quick even when the elevator was out.

Un peu déçu, la chambre n’était pas bien nettoyer à notre entrée, il y’avait pas des sac poubelle dans les poubelles, pendant notre séjour, ils sont pas venus nettoyer la chambre, ni changer des essuies on avait pas de gel douche, à part ces petits inconvénients l’hôtel était bien.

Mein Zimmer war in der 4.Etage, zum Hinterhof raus. Was dadurch leiser war. Das Hotel ist Fußläufig ca 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt an einer Hauptstraße. Betten sind gut, Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut, große Auswahl, bis auf Montagmorgen, warum das so war , keine Ahnung. Wurde trotzdem fündig und satt. Personal an der Rezeption sehr freundlich.

Overall this hotel is amazing and great value for money. The beds are clean and soft, the bathroom is great, and the location is right next to the train station and the shops downtown so that’s amazing. Most of the staff were great, and the spa with the pool and sauna is incredible. However, on our last day staying here we had a bad incident with the staff. We asked to leave our suitcase behind the desk while we went to explore. We came back an hour later and when we went to retrieve our suitcase, they gave us the wrong one. I simply explained that it was the wrong one so they took me to the back to look at them all. I identified my suitcase but they told me I was wrong and that it belonged to somebody else. I explained to the staff (the same one who took my suitcase just an hour ago) that, no, that is my suitcase. Then they got really rude and asked us to wait by the front. The got more staff and again said they couldn’t find it so we asked them to check the cameras. They were really short with us and kept giving us bad looks. I stood at the front and waited for 20 minutes until one of them came out with my suitcase and said “there you go” and walked off. Utterly ridiculous and unnecessary, and they were just so rude which was a shame as I had loved my stay so far. Luckily we were leaving early to our flight but if we had been back later then we could have missed it!

Da vi kom frem, fandt vi ud af poolen var lukket, hvilket ærgerede os, da det var en af grundene til vi valgte dette hotel frem for andre. Den åbnede først sidste dag på vores turen. Vi havde bestilt et været til 3, hvilket var en opredning på sofa, pladsen var så lille at man næsten ikke kunne komme i seng. Toiletterne var utroligt lave. (Lidt børnetoilet højde) Rengøring af værelset, blev kun gjort på halv delen af sengene. Morgenmaden var fint.

Really nice hotel. Well-appointed, with an on-site restaurant for breakfast. It's a bit odd to get to, having to either walk from the Hbf around and over the expressway, or walk through a somewhat-desolate mall during opening hours. So though it looks centrally located, it's not as easy to access as other hotels near the train station. But a lovely basic setup for someone traveling and not needing or wanting to spend a lot of time in their room, and just needing a place to leave stuff and crash for the night. Conveniently accessible to shopping, groceries, and (with some weird Hobbit-like journeys) the Hbf.

I have been staying at Mercure from the time of Novotel since couple of decades - They have high regards for me and my relatives - I have always paid during " check out " - I have very nice understanding with Mercure - The place where I live in " Mercure Duisburg " - They are very nice decent persons at Mercure from general staff, reception, restaurant and managerial staff including the bosses.

I have been staying at Mercure from the time of Novotel since couple of decades - They have high regards for me and my relatives - I have always paid during " check out " - I have very nice understanding with Mercure - The place where I live in " Mercure Duisburg " - They are very nice decent persons at Mercure from general staff, reception, restaurant and managerial staff including the bosses.

Lite förvirrat och språkförbistring vid incheckning. Rummet som var bokat för fyra saknade sängkläder och handdukar för två av fyra samt var rätt ostädat. Frukosten var bra, poolen likaså, dock lite kall. Smidigt och prisvärt för vårt syfte, vi var bara på genomresa, men finns potential för förbättring.

The guy on the reception in the late evening with the hair tied back was great, sadly I didn't catch his name. Very helpful with suggesting where to park the car with a disabled badge. He went out of his way to be helpful. The guy on the bar was also very friendly too. Between the two of them they restored my faith in Germany after a few bad experiences elsewhere earlier in the day. We'll absolutely be staying at the Mercure next time we're in Duisburg.

Wir waren erneut zu Gast in unserem Stammhotel und haben uns wie immer sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders gefreut hat es uns, dass unsere Lieblingsservicekraft Ben wieder da war – so startet man automatisch mit einem Lächeln in den Tag. Auch die fleißige Auszubildende möchten wir ausdrücklich loben, sie macht ihre Arbeit wirklich hervorragend. Etwas schade war, dass wir mitbekommen haben, wie ein Mitarbeiter (vermutlich der Koch) abfällig über Gäste gesprochen hat. Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoll, intern darauf zu achten, dass alle Teammitglieder jederzeit respektvoll über Gäste sprechen – gerade im Hinblick auf ausländische Besucher(das muss auch anderen Mitarbeitern aufallen und geht echt nicht). Trotzdem fühlen wir uns in Ihrem Haus sehr wohl und kommen immer wieder gerne zurück.

Breakfast is extremely expensive at 22 Euros. You can eat dinner for less. Parking is somewhat a hassle as it's sub use of parking lot and getting the payment for it not clear up front. For the price you can stay in Dusseldorf or between for less and take the train which is right by the hotel and use Uber or Taxi. Best part was the staff. Very helpful. Any major question or problems you need to talk with management in the morning , which I think you might have to get in line.

Ist vom Bahnhof in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Schnelles und freundliches Checkin. Zimmer sind sauber und ansprechend möbliert. Man erreicht die City schnell zu Fuß. Sowie auch kulturelle Aktivitäten. In unserem Fall das Theater am Marientor mit ca. 15 Minuten. Sollten wir mal wieder Duisburg besuchen, dann gerne erneut im Mercure.

Overall this hotel is amazing and great value for money. The beds are clean and soft, the bathroom is great, and the location is right next to the train station and the shops downtown so that’s amazing. Most of the staff were great, and the spa with the pool and sauna is incredible. However, on our last day staying here we had a bad incident with the staff. We asked to leave our suitcase behind the desk while we went to explore. We came back an hour later and when we went to retrieve our suitcase, they gave us the wrong one. I simply explained that it was the wrong one so they took me to the back to look at them all. I identified my suitcase but they told me I was wrong and that it belonged to somebody else. I explained to the staff (the same one who took my suitcase just an hour ago) that, no, that is my suitcase. Then they got really rude and asked us to wait by the front. The got more staff and again said they couldn’t find it so we asked them to check the cameras. They were really short with us and kept giving us bad looks. I stood at the front and waited for 20 minutes until one of them came out with my suitcase and said “there you go” and walked off. Utterly ridiculous and unnecessary, and they were just so rude which was a shame as I had loved my stay so far. Luckily we were leaving early to our flight but if we had been back later then we could have missed it!

Really nice hotel. Well-appointed, with an on-site restaurant for breakfast. It's a bit odd to get to, having to either walk from the Hbf around and over the expressway, or walk through a somewhat-desolate mall during opening hours. So though it looks centrally located, it's not as easy to access as other hotels near the train station. But a lovely basic setup for someone traveling and not needing or wanting to spend a lot of time in their room, and just needing a place to leave stuff and crash for the night. Conveniently accessible to shopping, groceries, and (with some weird Hobbit-like journeys) the Hbf.

Rigtigt godt hotel til prisen og med perfekt beliggenhed for os. Eneste anke var, at den ellers dejlige morgenmadsbuffet ofte var næsten tømt ½ time før morgenmaden sluttede, og at de meget flinke servicemedarbejdere ved morgenmaden ikke havde tid til at følge med og fylde buffeten op, da der var mange gæster, som der skulle findes plads til og ryddes af efter. En eller to medarbejdere yderligere i morgenmadsområdet ved spidsbelastning ville have gjort underværker.
