This is spitting distance from Glasgow Central station. Very convenient when your train is delayed! But the lift was out of order and having to carry luggage to floor 3 was tiring. The tv required you to sign up for a Roku account, the power sockets were suspect (phone charger indicator light random flashed on 2 outlets, there was a bathroom floor tile duct taped down around the toilet. But you get what you pay for.

Staff was friendly. The bathrooms need a major cleaning!! Black mildew all on shower walls and sink area. Elevator not working and sounded as if it hadn’t been for a while with no plans for repair. We were only there 2 nights and cost was reasonable considering location next to central station.

Needed a two night stay in Glasgow but didn't want to spend crazy money on the accomodation because it was only a place to sleep for 2 nights. Found this hotel and the place is great, staff are friendly and welcoming lift is a bit small but functional, the room was clean and well proportioned. Bathroom was very clean and nice powerful shower. Not a chain hotel experience but it shouldn't have to be this was a perfect little hotel to sleep and recharge ready for the next day.

Staff are excellent and very friendly.cafe bar on the ground floor was really nice welcoming and reasonably priced. Cleanliness in the rooms wasn’t up to scratch with lots of dust on the walls and around the ceiling. Beds were spotless. Bathroom needed a better clean around the taps and plug but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was wasted by very poor cleanliness within room, whole room could do with a cleanup it. Was very unindated! Mould all round in toilet, the cups for drinks were dirty, next day the same cups were placed and still not cleaned, when enquieries made for clean cups were told they are replaced daily, unfortunately the same cups were still there during our stay, verynoisy by bins being filled at night with empty bottles getting put into bins! Were put in rear of buillding felt out the way, overall not happy with room. Staff were polite and helpfull, unfortunately i wont recommend this hotel.

Cleanliness an issue. Found dust in a few locations, bathroom is genuinely a safety hazard. Floor tiles look and duct taped down, felt unsafe even walking to the toilet as multiple tiles moving. Grouting in bath/shower area drastically needs replaced as will cause a huge leak at some point.

I had realistic expectations when i booked as it was cheap. I expected basic, no frills accommodation but I expected it to be clean. The shower room was filthy. I should have asked for a new room but it was late when I arrived and I was tired. I cleaned the filth and hairs from the shower tray with wipes I had with me. The shower door was broken and would not close. The light above the bed did not work. There are shades and bulbs missing from the light in the bathroom. The lift and hallways smelt like cigarette amoke and cooking Overall disappointing but easily fixed - get new cleaners!

Good central location. Dated decor. Baths had badly chipped enamel. Electrics were concerning and could be heard sparking. Noise from nearby bar was excessive. This was followed by whining bearings on air con fan all night.

Room was fine carpet threadbare at parts abd seen better dats. No hot water due to everyone raking showers at same time and toilet water was running all night after flushing. Staff friendly. Excelkent location for shops, bars restaurants etc. Served us well for price oaid.

Staff were very friendly, i booked a single room, however the room i was given was a single room with a double bed in it which took up most of the room, if i opened the window it was across the bed. I was looking forward to a nice hot shower but the shower base was absolutely disgusting. Bed was comfy, tv worked, windows very hard to open and close.

The location is great. It's right next to Glasgow Central and 5-10 minutes walk from anywhere in the center. I had hoped for an early arrival option, but i did have to wait until 3pm to check in. The room shook occasionally from either trains or vehicles gojng past. Not too bothersome though. Room was a little cramped (had to trun sideways to move betwen the desk and bed). Overall fair value for the price.

The staff on entrance good attitude when booking on to hotel. The door to get into the room were very stiff and difficult to access and had to use force. The room once inside had carpet missing on the edges, the windows were very filthy and made it difficult to see outside. The TV had 2 channels only which wasn’t great when nothing else to do when inside the room, I requested a bath tub which I got and the water never got warm or Hot it remained cold, the sink also remained cold and to have a strip wash or a bath/shower wasn’t possible. Very disappointed with the visit on this occasion.

Good points:- Great price, great location great staff, very clean room, comfy bed, good reception bar. Bad points:- pretty noisy, room shakes when a train comes in, leg fell off the other bed my friend was in! Obviously I found that hilarious her not so much as it did it 3 times in the night!!

There was this constant loud rattling and shaking below my room. The ambience of the room felt uncomfortable as well. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was a good deal for short notice but not quality.

Room was nice and clean but walls had a few stains on them. Bathroom was clean. The room was very nice spacious with large windows. Only problem was the noise from outside but after 11.30pm this stopped. Lift was not working but I don't use lifts and I was on the first floor. I did ask if there was breakfast but the assistant on the desk said there was not.

Very helpful at switching my booking for an earlier date ,due to the work trip to Inner Hebrides prior to the storm. The kind lady was helpful on the phone arriving from South East of England to this ad hoc urgent change of travel schedule. The chapsst the Reception very helpful as well. The lady even remembered my name at the checkout in the morning. All this goes a long way and a warm human touch.

Excellent location - right next to Central Station. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They helpfully moved us rooms as we were originally at the front of the hotel which is opposite a very lively pub and situated on a main road. Moved to the back of the hotel which was much quieter. The room was clean and functional. Good shower!! Overall, highly recommended (unless you want a quiet location)

There were roadworks directly outside the hotel until 2am outside the hotel (a Sunday night), nobody warned us or offered us to move rooms...the windows were paper thin so this was heard until it stopped. Had a pretty bad sleep because of this. Upon checkout staff shooed us away before we had a chance to say it, and I emailed about this 4 weeks ago and nobody cared to respond. The Artto could be no better in terms of location and value. The staff are friendly and helpful, but id say the decor and condition of the hotel is tired. If you need a town centre crash-pad without breaking the bank, this is the place. Basic but great value.

Room was small, sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain, seals on the shower doors hanging off, due to a colleague error when trying to check in, I was not officially checked in and so they attempted to give my room away, so had a stranger walk into my room on the second day of my stay and made to feel like it was my fault as I had not paid on arrival, yet the colleague who handled my check in did not advise me I had to and told me I was checked in no problem. Would not recommend or stay again.
Room was small, sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain, seals on the shower doors hanging off, due to a colleague error when trying to check in, I was not officially checked in and so they attempted to give my room away, so had a stranger walk into my room on the second day of my stay and made to feel like it was my fault as I had not paid on arrival, yet the colleague who handled my check in did not advise me I had to and told me I was checked in no problem. Would not recommend or stay again.

The man staffing the front desk was extremely helpful. He showed us a walking route to explore and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He was great!

Stayed three nights on the 4th floor, good size room, clean and tidy. Reasonable ensuite although the shower was s bit snug. Next to Central Station but was quiet up in the gods. Easy reach of everything. Didnt bother with the continental breakfast as theres a Wetherspoons cooked and cheap breakfast around the corner, 2 minutes walk. Safe and secure. Would recommend.

Excellent location opposite Central Train Station and Airport Bus. Despite other reviews regarding noise I had a room fronting the street and Station and had no problems. Great Staff too. I recommend the place and will stay again.

Excellent location - right next to Central Station. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They helpfully moved us rooms as we were originally at the front of the hotel which is opposite a very lively pub and situated on a main road. Moved to the back of the hotel which was much quieter. The room was clean and functional. Good shower!! Overall, highly recommended (unless you want a quiet location)

The Artto could be no better in terms of location and value. The staff are friendly and helpful, but id say the decor and condition of the hotel is tired. If you need a town centre crash-pad without breaking the bank, this is the place. Basic but great value.

Staff are excellent and very friendly.cafe bar on the ground floor was really nice welcoming and reasonably priced. Cleanliness in the rooms wasn’t up to scratch with lots of dust on the walls and around the ceiling. Beds were spotless. Bathroom needed a better clean around the taps and plug but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Superb location very close to Glasgow Central Station. Neat and clean room. Overall very enjoyable stay. No parking and very light breakfast without scrambled eggs and beans.

Lovely staff and great location but this is not a 3 star hotel. The quality of the mattress means you will be very close to your loved one; be prepared for a one channel tv; forget about closing the toilet door: it is just to make sure you can hear the leak in the bathroom; continental breakfast from a continent I don't know...

My least favourite hotel Ive stayed in in Glasgow. Least comfortable too. Tv didnt work. Shower broke just as I finished luckily. Soaked the bathroom. Worn carpet isnt inviting. Filthy windows. Noise from street was awful though did quieten at midnight thankfully. Breakfast ok for continental. Only sliced bread. Rolls would have been good. Woman at reception ok. Smell of Indian food could be off putting to some!

Great location right beside Glasgow Central station. I decided to book last minute for a Christmas night out. My room was available at 2:30pm, very nice welcome both on arrival and a breakfast. The lobby doubles as bar and breakfast are and is chic and trendy. Breakfast was self serve, continental and great value for money. Toast, Yoghurt, Coffee, OJ, ham, cheese, fruit and tomato and cucumber, highly recommend and would definitely stay again. My single room was in the fourth floor and for the price and convenience of location I was very happy. Comfortable bed, good shower and good quality towels.

Needed a two night stay in Glasgow but didn't want to spend crazy money on the accomodation because it was only a place to sleep for 2 nights. Found this hotel and the place is great, staff are friendly and welcoming lift is a bit small but functional, the room was clean and well proportioned. Bathroom was very clean and nice powerful shower. Not a chain hotel experience but it shouldn't have to be this was a perfect little hotel to sleep and recharge ready for the next day.

Room was nice and clean but walls had a few stains on them. Bathroom was clean. The room was very nice spacious with large windows. Only problem was the noise from outside but after 11.30pm this stopped. Lift was not working but I don't use lifts and I was on the first floor. I did ask if there was breakfast but the assistant on the desk said there was not.

Unfortunately the room looks like it was built then completely left ever since. Holes all over the bathroom, tiles stuck down with ductape, mould all over the tiles and the curtain seemed to have vomit stains on them. I didn’t complain because I genuinely think all the rooms are the same after seeing the reviews. One plus the location was great and the price was cheaper than others round about. So if you just need somewhere to lay your head after a few drinks then this will maybe do the job but I certainly wouldn’t want anyone paying any money for this if they wanted a nice night away.

I was at the front of the building and could be a bit noisy but didn’t bother me. Considering price and location well worth a stay. I had an overnight stay after having eye surgery and staff couldn’t have been more helpful taking me up in the lift to my room and assisting with breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again,
