Loved this place! Absolutely beautiful. The lobby is stunning. Staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. The beds were very comfortable and our room was very nice. Lovely selection of soaps & shampoo and conditioners supplied. We realized we were across from a park which was an amazing find. The park is huge with fountains, bridges and statues scattered throughout the many acres of roses and flowers.

After spending the earlier part of the day at the Halifax waterfront, we enjoyed a delightful overnight stay at the Lord Nelson. It is a stately 1920’s hotel with many lovely wood, marble and brass finishes throughout. The front desk staff were friendly and that was a reflection of all staff we encountered. Our room was upgraded to a luxurious suite with soothing colours of navy and cream and brass finishes. We had a small coffee area with a Nespresso machine and a refrigerator. There were other appliances as well if needed. The bathroom had many toiletries and a rain showerhead which was appreciated but the older hotels tend to have tiny bathrooms. We enjoyed room service and had dinner and breakfast from the Nelson Arms restaurant. The food was delicious! Overall a great stay!
