So impressed!!!! We stayed one night, picked up at the airport by the free shuttle, staff were so friendly and the room was gorgeous. Ate in the restaurant for a late dinner and my chicken wrap was excellent! Swam in the huge pool early this morning and was very impressed with the gym. We had checked out at 10 am then our plans changed so they quickly managed to get us back into our room till our ride arrived at noon. 5/5!!!

Airport shuttle definitely a plus we used it along with the express train at terminal 1 at Toronto airport to get downtown Toronto as it leaves hotel every 1/2. Runs 24 hours a day. Staff at hotel restaurant very friendly a great experience every morning for breakfast . Desk staff also all very pleasant would definitely go back there

I specifically chose your hotel because of the advertised airport shuttle service. On December 11, I waited at the designated pickup area in Terminal 1 from 11:25 PM until 12:15 AM - a total of 50 minutes in -9 degree weather. During this time: • I called the hotel four times with no answer • Three different Holiday Inn shuttle drivers from other locations passed by • I asked all three drivers to contact my shuttle driver or provide assistance - all refused and only said the shuttle “would be there soon” • I observed other guests also waiting, with at least one other woman leaving after 45 minutes to take a taxi • I ultimately had to pay for a taxi myself ($28.75 CAD). When I checked in and politely requested compensation for the taxi fare I was forced to take due to your shuttle’s no-show, the front desk agent: • Became loud and dismissive • Told me I “didn’t see” the shuttle (contradicting my clear account) • Refused to provide helpful service recovery • Was evasive when I asked to speak with a manager • Showed condescension when I requested that notes be added to my file • Only reluctantly provided an email address for management contact This experience represents multiple service failures: the unreliable shuttle service that is a key amenity of your property, the lack of phone coverage during late hours, and perhaps most concerning, the poor guest service recovery dismissive treatment when I sought reasonable resolution. Swimming pool out of order! They also over charged me. They are supposed to hold $200, they charged my first day before I arrived then the next day they charged me for my original reservation of 2 days plus the $200… not impressed next time I’ll pay directly with Expedia then they can hold my $200.. now I have to wait for my refund. Other than that the staff where nice and a very nice clean place..

Waited extremely long for airport shuttle. They say it's runs every half hour. We waited an hour and others were waiting as well. Being that they pride themselves on being the closest hotel to the airport the turnaround time didn't make sense. I asked about it and I didn't get an answer from anyone. Like they were deaf.

Bathtub had a bunch of hair in it, obviously not even rinsed. Complained at the front desk (they wouldn't answer the phone) and the guy asked "Is it too much hair?" which I feel crazy even having to type out. Like any amount of a stranger's hair in the bathtub is too much hair. They moved us to another room, which also had hair in the tub and also in the bed. Both rooms also smelled like weird chemicals and the furniture was peeling badly. The AC unit in the second room must have been from the 70s. Cancelled our reservation and went to a different hotel.

I booked this property at the last minute and still got a better rate than many others nearby. Reception staff was very accommodating, and I felt welcome from the shuttle picked me up at the airport. My room was clean, west facing and so I had a view of the airport. I had access to a small refrigerator and coffee maker. The room had an easy chair and a table, numerous power outlets and light fixtures. The bathroom was stocked, only a dispenser for hand soap didn't work, but that didn't bother me as I had body wash and shampoo available. My only gripe was the road noise, which I guess couldn't be helped as these mod vehicles make a heap of noise wherever they are. I would definitely stay here again. There's access to TTC buses and easy movement via the hotel shuttle which runs practically every 30 mins 24/7. A number of food options are within 5 mins walking. I felt safe and unbothered. Overall a good experience.

The front desk staff needs to be retrained. They ran my card for incidebtals which were not used. Instead of taking the hold off my card they charged me twice. They also billed my card for the room that was already paid for on another card. I wxpect not just my money back but full refund of room.

Awful check in experience. It was Anime North.. booked the hotel months in advance and opted to pay at the hotel. When we got there they said a "card was declined" when we opted to pay there? They ended up refusing to let us split and we almost didnt get a room even though it was still reserved through expedia? Had plenty of proof. Our friend had to take the entire cost himself and thankfully they found us a room. Very scary and frustrating experience with two very young children.

After the shuttle driver dropped me off at the airport, I was detained by the driver as he tried to show me a picture of myself. This person he showed me was 100 lbs heavier than me, ten years younger and a a full head of hair which have none. He said we all know what you’ve done and we are going to shame you on social media. I said what are you talking about that’s not even close to me. He tried to continue to detain me and delay me further but I walked away laughing. I shared this information with Trizz at the hotel. She said it’s not their problem as they have a third party agreement with the shuttle drivers that the drive the shuttle with their logo on it. She said all I can do for this guy detaining you, calling you a liar, fat shaming you, accusing you of a crime and threatening to blackball you all over social media is offer you a small discount on your next visit and a free breakfast which is included in every stay anyway. Trizz then asked if I was still at the hotel after I explained SEVERAL times that I clearly was just dropped off at the airport. Trizz then said she would do ANYTHING to help then chose to Ignore any future messages and do nothing. stay at you own risk. Pay a few extra dollars to stay with staff that care.

Professional staff, great location , only 5 mn drive from terminal 1.Very comfortable beds & bedding . Quality shampoo & body wash . A fitness room & large swimming pool where one can relax & exercise. There are two running courses around the hotel one 2.5 , 2.9 & the other 3.5 k …enough for a 10 k workout! The rates are more than reasonable for such high quality hotel. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any discerning traveller …

It was so convenient for the airport and because of the bus shuttle every 30mins to the airport it was very easy to catch the UP express train fron the airport to union station in downtown Toronto. $12.35 for the train fare was good value and the trains were so much better than the trains in the uk.The pool was excellent for a decent swim being 20mts long. The restaurant was also very good and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

The good: friendly staff, comfortable bed and air con, good breakfast buffet The bad: the bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed, the building is old, and the restaurant management needs serious work. Do not order a cocktail at this place. I ordered a nice sounding cocktail with whisky, ginger liqueur to be served in a smoke filled glass cloche (as per the menu). Was served a drink with non-alcoholic ginger beer and no smoke filled cloche. When I asked about the ginger beer, I was told they were out of the liqueur and management told them to use ginger beer instead…and yet I was being charged the same price for less alcohol. My lovely server reduced the price, but if I hadn’t known they switched ingredients, they would have just charged me full price for something I did not order. Also, kids menu says “choice of milk” but they only had white milk. Our server went out of his way to buy a chocolate milk somewhere else. Staff was good…but the place is mismanaged.

Clean room bed was more firm than expected. I needed another pillow and they had one sent to the room. Very accommodating. We were on the 5th floor. The carpet really needs to be replaced before someone gets hurt. But bathroom floor is heated. Breakfast was not much to brag about. The price was was a bit much for what was offered. No hot tub. There is a small pool but NO HOT TUB.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. It is clean and quiet. All the hotel staff is friendly and engaging. The shuttle drivers were excellent, on time and helpful. Being close to the UP Express train, which gets you to downtown in an affordable and short time, the shuttle drivers make sure to give you proper directions to catch the train and where to meet the shuttle for a return to the hotel. My only negative of the property was the buffet breakfast. It was woefully understaffed, and the server just didn’t have time to be attentive in a timely manner. The property should look at extra staffing during times of high traffic.

Hotel was close to the airport and having the airport shuttle is a huge bonus. Room was standard. We only received 2 towels and yes there was only 2 of us but most females need 2 towels. One for hair and one for body. We requested new towels from housekeeping and they said we had to go to the front desk. My son went and asked for another towel and they said they would send one up. We are currently still waiting for that other towel. The next day we asked for our towels to be refreshed and that they didn’t need to do anything else. We got beds made and no clean towels. We were with 2 other families who also had issues with getting towels. I will say the bistro had some amazing food for dinner options.
