No elevater had to carry own luggage up stairs. Not for older lady travellers. I don't like to complain, but I would never stay there again. Ist room had bed bugs, I always check before i even take my shoes off! Yes got another room. They were kind and supportive about that. Just didn't need the drama. Also no telepnone calls when my husband called. I was asked to talk to hubby on reception desk he would be calling again in 10 minutes.

They had a nice water view from the dining areas and we were told that at times they have had hippos gather there. We did get to see any but would have loved to get to experience it. Definitely will need to plan a second visit.

We had no other choice due to last minute emergency booking. Biggest issue for us was no elevator to get to our room. Not fun with heavy luggage. Personnel was very friendly but very understaffed to meet demand. Lastly, shuttle driver indicated the area was not very safe.

My first time using and it was delightful. It needs a taxi or an Uber but once you are there it wonderful. There does appear to be some renovations going on, but it did not affect our one night stop. Recommended!

This hotel worked well for me to stay after a long flight from overseas. My only complaint is the airport shuttle service was advertised on their website. but unavailable when I arrived. I would definitely stay there again. The staff were outstanding!

I booked for the non smoking and they allocated us a smoking room and my partner had flu. When I asked if they can transfer us to Midrand waterfall they said it's impossible. Secondly Uber eat guy was not allowed to deliver to the door meanwhile in waterfall they do delivery with no hassles. Patient didn't even call us at the room that there is a delivery for us if they're not allowing Uber guys to walk in. What are the rooms phones for. I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE OF CITY LODGE BARBARA. I'M CONSIDERING TELLING ALL MY COLLEAGUES AT SARS NOT TO GO THERE AS I DOUBT I'LL EVER COME BACK AFTER THIS. I'm truly disappointed with City Lodge Barbara Edenvale. Service is so very low and not up to standard at all. I'm not sure if the guys are not trained how to handle visitors I'm really not sure and the price for the rooms are more expensive than Midrand but service and the room conditions is far far away different. Why is that? Why are we treated like that I'm so disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

I really liked it here but I was disappointed by the continued problems with the wifi. Also I would have loved some USB ports and electrical outlets. Lastly, most hotels of this class have a refrigerator in the room but this one did not

Apparently there are 2 City Lodge hotels near the airport. They have nearly identical names. We booked the wrong one. PLEASE add some clarity in the description showing these are 2 hotels!
