Large old building in fantastic location. The house is a bit institutional. The corridors seem old but the room we had was very nice and resently updated. Elegant bathroom. All necessary amenities were in the room. The terrasse on the lake is fantastic, but was unfortunately closed due to the weather. Breakfast was really good.

Das Steigenberger Inselhotel ist ein wundervolles Hotel. Es ist eine gelungene Kombination von geschichtsträchtigem Ursprung und modernem Style. Die Lage direkt am See ist natürlich wunderschön. Ich konnte den Aufenthalt von A bis Z geniessen: sehr freundlicher Empfang, schönes Zimmer, Kaffeemaschine und Getränke im Zimmer, sehr leckeres Essen und grossartiges Frühstücksbuffet. Einzig die Sauna hätte eine Auffrischung nötig. Danke an alle Angestellten für die Freundlichkeit!

Hotel situato in una posizione comoda, ben strutturato e con un comodo parcheggio auto ( anche se a pagamento). Ottima pulizia, vista sul lago meravigliosa e ristorante all’interno dell’hotel di buona qualità. Unico difetto: la moquette nelle camere.

Wir waren schon bei der Ankunft sehr zufrieden. Sie waren an der Reception sehr nett und behilflich. Auch das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Morgenbuffet einmalig. Das Personal im Hotel war überaus freundlich. Vielen Dank für alles. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Zimmer hiess zwar Superior Zimmer aber das war es bestimmt nicht, 4. Stock,. Der Lift geht nur bis 3. Stock, sodass wir Treppe hoch laufen mussten, was für Leute von über 80 nicht unbedingt einfach ist. Dafür hatten wir dann eine Dusche....Alternative war nur Zimmer mit Bad, was für ältere Menschen auch nicht ratsam ist. Das Zimmer hat einen geschmacklosen Bodenbelag (Laminat mit überall weissen Flecken, sodass wir dachten der Maler hat einen Pinsel ausschlagen wollen;L wurde als spezielles Design verkauft). In der Dusche das gleiche, nur dass die Wände überall schwarze Flecken zeigten und überdies grosse Rostflecken, sodass es aussah wie in einem Urinoir !! Siehe Bild von unserem Zimmer 408. Das Waschbecken war minimal und nicht geeignet für ein Superior Zimmer !!! In einer Toilette wäre es okay. Das Fenster hat zwar ein Mückengitter was sehr angenehm war, aber wie man auf dem Bild sehen kann, hat es die Grösse einer Dachluke. Schade, denn die Aussicht war phantastisch. Das Putzpersonal sieht man zwar mit Staubsauger usw- im Gang, aber richtig geputzt wird nicht. Die ganze Woche lagen im Badzimmer ein toter Fliege mit kleinen Papierfetzen, also nichts dergleichen ! Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, nur schade, dass man es erst ab 8:30 auf der wunderbaren Terrasse nehmen konnte. Das Kaffee/Tee set und die kostenfreie Minibar sind positiv zu erwähnen. Das Personal ist ausserordentlich freundlich.

I loved this hotel. Konstanz is a beautiful town and this hotel is in the center of it all. Walking distance from both the port and train station. The hotel is in a former monastery. It is located right on the lake and rooms have both city and lake views. I stayed in a single on the 4th floor. The elevator goes to the 3rd but the hotel offered to take my luggage up if I did not want to go up the one flight of stairs. My room was super nice and clean. The bathroom was great. Would totally recommend to anyone.

This hotel is in prime location on the edge of Lake Constance, and offers easy access to the city itself, as well as the ferries in the harbour. Rooms were good but not as luxurious as expected at the price. Hallways looked worn. But the hotel excelled at breakfast...a superb range was available (including champagne), all enjoyed on the terrace by the lake.

This was one of the best stays that I have ever had. The room was big and beautiful. It was stocked daily with water, beer and coke. You could sleep with the windows and patio door open, allowing the air off of the lake to permeate the room. Was so awesome!

Das Hotel ist hervorragend gelegen, der Service und das Essen sind hervorragend, jedoch sind die Zimmer schon sehr alt und müssten dringend renoviert werden. Der Preis zahlt man hier meiner Meinung nach für die: Lage, das Objekt an sich (sehr schön) den hervorragenden Service und den Namen, denn fürs so ein Zimmer zahlt man heutzutage 50-70€

We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions and it is my favorite place to be in all of Europe. The staff is above and beyond accommodating, the dinner at the restaurant is absolutely superb and nothing can top the complementary breakfast. We will look forward to coming here again and again.

Very nice facility, attentive reception, especially Sufian. Nice rooms. Very nice breakfast staff. Location is good however, the train station is just at the door and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get out and in. I wish they have an indoor pool.

I loved this hotel. Konstanz is a beautiful town and this hotel is in the center of it all. Walking distance from both the port and train station. The hotel is in a former monastery. It is located right on the lake and rooms have both city and lake views. I stayed in a single on the 4th floor. The elevator goes to the 3rd but the hotel offered to take my luggage up if I did not want to go up the one flight of stairs. My room was super nice and clean. The bathroom was great. Would totally recommend to anyone.

Large old building in fantastic location. The house is a bit institutional. The corridors seem old but the room we had was very nice and resently updated. Elegant bathroom. We enjoyed our stay - but unfortunately we got very little sleep the night between Saturday and Sunday as a big wedding was held at the hotel. EXTREMELY loud music until almost 2AM in the morning made any attemp to sleep impossible. I guess, weekends are not the time to stay here.
