We enjoyed our stay - travelled from NZ. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast options awesome and include gluten free which was great as a coeliac. Good value for a short stay. We used as a base as visiting family in the area. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely recommend. Not luxurious but homely and comfortable.

Another great stay at Wigston Holiday Inn. We were greeted by Karan who is a very pleasant front of the house staff. Very kindly upgraded us to an executive room. We stay here a lot when we visit our son who is at University here. it’s convenient, has free parking which is a great bonus in Leicester!! The only downside this time was that there was a 30th birthday party on-site which had loud music late into the night which was a bit disturbing for going to sleep…

Friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfast with an extensive selection. Overall the room was very clean but the carpets in the corridors need a good steam-clean and the doors, walls and paintwork are scuffed and chipped. Our bathroom door was splitting and peeling at the bottom, probably due to the effects of bathroom steam over the years & the shower stall had a build up of limescale at the corners. Just needs a bit of TLC & money spent on redecoration/refurbishment to get an “excellent” all round.

We stayed in an Executive room for the second time whilst visiting family. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. We were provided with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and crisps. We had forgotten our toothpaste but were able to get a small complimentary pack from reception. It didn't matter to us but we did notice that the only coat hangers were above the room safe so there was nowhere to hang dresses if you had some with you. There was a higher hanging rail without hangers so maybe you could get spare hangers from reception. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

We loved the welcome gift that awaited you when you entered the room. The breakfast was great, there was an expanse of choice and you helped yourself. The bed was so very comfortable and a great size. The room was quiet and the shower was really good. Would definitely visit again.

Staff were very helpful. Room was nice and comfortable. Liked the minibar and fridge with water. Shower drain seemed to be blocked but house keeping quickly came and fixed it. Definitely will stay again.

Heating not working properly, so a cold room. Questions submitted before arrival were never responded to. Very poor customer service and unhelpful reception staff, despite many rooms booked for my wedding. Very disappointing service for a large brand hotel.

Another great stay at Wigston Holiday Inn. We were greeted by Karan who is a very pleasant front of the house staff. Very kindly upgraded us to an executive room. We stay here a lot when we visit our son who is at University here. it’s convenient, has free parking which is a great bonus in Leicester!! The only downside this time was that there was a 30th birthday party on-site which had loud music late into the night which was a bit disturbing for going to sleep…

Staff were excellent and very friendly especially reception. Very warm welcome, I liked the rooms, they have a modern feel and the bathroom clean and modern. Surprisingly good breakfast with all you might like to eat for a modern British breakfast.

Gorgeous large very clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful. We took our dog with us and she was also made very welcome. Excellent buffet breakfast. Would love to stay again.

Booked two bedrooms for family and both had issues. Bedroom 204 - leaking air conditioning unit and a huge stain on the carpet. I cannot believe the cleaner had not flagged the issue prior to our stay. The dripping meant we had an horrendous nights sleep. Bedroom next door - missing a panel in the shower and meant the floor was soaking wet. Both rooms should have never been let out and something you would not expect from a Holiday Inn room. We did complain to Reception next morning and he was sympathetic (offered us a complimentary hot drink). However, this does not cover the horrendous stay - will NEVER book to stay here again- be warned the standards in this hotel are sub-standard. Awful Holiday Inn rooms!!!
