I arrived in the dark after driving in heavy traffic for 6 hours. I did not notice the parking signs, so failed to pay in advance and the website wouldn't let me pay in the morning. This ruined the trip as I now expect a big bill. Window in the room wouldn't open, so very worrying if there was a fire.

The hotel is set across from the park with lovely views Are room was a big room with 4 poster bed and looked like it was been renovated and looked lovely Unfortunately the hotel lift was not working and we had to use the steps which was not good for my other half as she has a bad ankle & we had to change rooms from the top floor to one with 2 flight of steps

Decent hotel in a good location in Liverpool near a lively park. We paid 10 pounds total to park in the lot for 2 days, very convenient. The glass restaurant was very nice and open for drinks after dinner. Breakfast was included and was a nice start to our days. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was probably once good but is in a state of disrepair. The lift doesn’t work and the stairs identification is written with a sharpie with a significant smell of damp. Our bathroom smelt of cigarette s, the shower didn’t work and the tv had no remote. The pipes made a massive noise when the heating kicked in

Overall very good. Shared a room with 5 adults making it £55 for two nights each. Very friendly manager. Room was clean and had a small selection of teas, coffees and soaps. Codes on the doors with 24/7 access for night outs.

Room was 2 x double and a single room with en-suite. Clean and tidy. Very dated, but a large old building. Parking on site was complimentary and a 7 min journey into the City centre & docks.

For the price this is a good find, bar was closing when we got there so limited in that respect, room was decent albeit a little dated, small bathroom. But very decent for the price

Great hotel, sitting on the edge of Sefton Park. Easy check in even though I was late getting down from Glasgow. Hassan the hotel manager, WhatsApp me my room access key allowing me to go directly to my room without having to worry about the late check in. Plenty of parking spaces and costs £5 for 24 hours, on par with parking in the city. Hassan also upgraded my room to a lovely suit which was very much appreciated, roll top bath, large double shower, and a bed that could sleep a family. Room and bathroom spotless. If im back in the area I would have no hesitation in stopping in this hotel again. A short walk from the hotel there are fabulous restaurants and bars to enjoy an evening out. And then there is the park on your doorstep, well worth a stroll to walk off your dinner.

Hotel and room filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, filthy bathroom and bedsheets. Didn’t not stay. Refusing to refund, despite being advertised as a smoke free hotel. Gross.

The noise from the central heating pipes were so loud that I had to be moved to another room at 1 am. The cleanliness of the rooms was not acceptable. The receptionist checking me in was more interested in talking to her colleague than attending to me. I did speak to Tim, the duty manager and he agreed to provide partial monetary compensation which was honourable but I would rather have had a good night’s sleep!

The location was excellent and it has good parking. The room was basic and not that clean. The fittings eg the toilet roll holder and curtain holders were hanging out of the wall, where the rawl plugs had come loose. Minimal maintenance would have fixed these. There was no hot water from the shower

It’s run down and a bit dirty, but it does the job. Hassan was very hospitable with an upgrade, late checkout and free parking.

The hotel was old and dirty, my bedroom had chips in the doors and woodwork. My TV had 1 or 2 televisions and the rest were foreign language. The window didn’t close properly and was extremely dirty with cobwebs and dirt. The room seemed to have a bug problem with bugs found in and around the room. It was nice to stay in a quirky old hotel. I didn't know they had weddings there but that area looked beautiful. It was a bit noisy over night, and our room was a little cramped. The beds were a bit creaky byt comfy enough to stay in for one night. All of the staff were really friendly

Wedding noise meant we had to be moved room even though when i checked in i was assured we would not be disturbed by the noise. In reality our room was right over the wedding disco and the noise was awful.

I stayed here twice in a week, with a great location across from Sefton park, close to the city centre for great access anywhere in the city. Great hotel, big rooms, Hassan was a great host very helpful from start to finish

Wedding noise meant we had to be moved room even though when i checked in i was assured we would not be disturbed by the noise. In reality our room was right over the wedding disco and the noise was awful.

Wedding noise meant we had to be moved room even though when i checked in i was assured we would not be disturbed by the noise. In reality our room was right over the wedding disco and the noise was awful.

Great hotel, sitting on the edge of Sefton Park. Easy check in even though I was late getting down from Glasgow. Hassan the hotel manager, WhatsApp me my room access key allowing me to go directly to my room without having to worry about the late check in. Plenty of parking spaces and costs £5 for 24 hours, on par with parking in the city. Hassan also upgraded my room to a lovely suit which was very much appreciated, roll top bath, large double shower, and a bed that could sleep a family. Room and bathroom spotless. If im back in the area I would have no hesitation in stopping in this hotel again. A short walk from the hotel there are fabulous restaurants and bars to enjoy an evening out. And then there is the park on your doorstep, well worth a stroll to walk off your dinner.

Impressive building, needs some brushing up, but generally clean very comfortable room. Great breakfast room at the front overlooking the park. We will sty here again.

The hotel is set across from the park with lovely views Are room was a big room with 4 poster bed and looked like it was been renovated and looked lovely Unfortunately the hotel lift was not working and we had to use the steps which was not good for my other half as she has a bad ankle & we had to change rooms from the top floor to one with 2 flight of steps

Decent hotel in a good location in Liverpool near a lively park. We paid 10 pounds total to park in the lot for 2 days, very convenient. The glass restaurant was very nice and open for drinks after dinner. Breakfast was included and was a nice start to our days. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I stayed here twice in a week, with a great location across from Sefton park, close to the city centre for great access anywhere in the city. Great hotel, big rooms, Hassan was a great host very helpful from start to finish

Room was 2 x double and a single room with en-suite. Clean and tidy. Very dated, but a large old building. Parking on site was complimentary and a 7 min journey into the City centre & docks.

At £168 odd for a nite I'd say a complete rip off. Parking extra and breakfast. Aimed at tourist market who don't have a clue. I travel up and down the country week in week out. This hotel was worth £80 per nite max!

Friendly welcome - offered to carry bags. Faded elegance. Very quiet ( except for squeaky doors) . Great breakfast with great views. Just missing a garden and lounge. Would definitely stay again.

Great weekend away with the girls, loved the room and the beds were lovley and comfy. Staff so friendly and helpful on the reception and at the bar. Cannot fault anything !

Rooms were small but clean and well laid out with everything you need. The telephone didn’t work which wasn’t a problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good but a bit greasy and felt that the lake of self service let it down but overall was good. My only issue was the other guests were so very noisy that kept us up all night the first night with no respect for other guest. I feel that there should be a quiet notice. This really spoilt out stay. And if the telephone was working we would have rang reception to complain.!

It looks great from the outside but one you are indoors the place is dirty, smelly and things does not work. We could not enter our room as there was no battery in the locking device on the door. When we got in it was a strange smell in the room despite that the window was open. We got a new room and even here there was "heavy air despite the window also here was open. The room worn down and lamps didn't work. the second day there was not hot water. All in all a terrible place.

This hotel was very disappointing. It needs totally upgrading. Our bed was comfortable. However, the curtains didn't close properly, the bathroom door didn't close properly and the hot tap was running all the time. We had difficulty getting into our room because the first code we were given didn't work. Our breakfast on the first morning was excellent but having booked breakfast for our second morning we arrived at the diningroom to find the door locked. My husband rangcthe manager as there was no-one on reception to be told that breakfast wasn't available as there were not enough guests to make it worthwhile! We will not stay in this hotel again.
