Room was good. Staff polite. Bar at 11.00 pm was very inadequate. No snacks, crisps, peanuts etc, available. Expected better at this hotel. Only one lift working for ten floors, long delays in the morning. The reception/breakfast area feels and looks like a hostel.

The hotel itself was very good with caring attentative staff.There was a huge let down ; there were only 2 guest parking places for the whole hotel , 50 would be more appropriate ! . The breakfast was very good and well organised ; the staff showed me how to axcess all the breakfast items . Hotel itself was clean throughout and my room was well appointed and comfortable. In summary excellent staff but poor parking.

There is no parking! Staff were unhelpful is giving us the time to allow us to unload vehicle of children, cases and suit carriers and persisted in harassing my husband in moving the vehicle after just a few minutes in the middle of Storm Bert. Bedrooms are very small and the sofa bed has the thinnest mattress. Breakfast was hearty and staff were very helpful and kept everything fresh and tables clean. We opulent however return when there are subsequently far better options. Friends of ours attending the same event stayed at the premier inn and the aerodrome hotels and these were much better. We ended up taking the car to the event and catching an Uber back as couldn’t walk from the multi storey 6 minutes away with the storm which is the recommended parking.

The hotel was a wonderful and positive surprise. It was super convenient considering we were travelling to/from Gatwick, and it was also only a short train ride from the city centre. The room was spacious enough for our family of four, with a good sized bathroom. It was also very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good. The only fault I could point was that one elevator (out of only two) was out of order during the 5 days we were there, which made the waiting a bit longer than expected (we were on the 8th floor). Also, we had no hot water one evening, but I didn't report it and it was fixed the following morning.

When making beds make sure there are no stains on bedding. Vacuum when coming to clean even if it seems like it may not need it. As we are coming from outside and eating in our rooms. Some room deodorizer to keep rooms with a fresh smell.

We were very impressed with our 2 night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. All interactions with the staff were positive and we would definitely stay there again.

Room was excellent reception staff polite, courteous and very helpful. Food was good and hot, portion size for the noodles was large and really felt full after. Only downside was felt like the matress need turning as felt slightly lower on one side. The cleaner knocked on the door so put my jeans on and he let himself in even though we both called out. I stopped him at the door and said could we just have a hoover round, he said ok and never saw him again. Also no glasses in the bathroom to use water after brushing teeth.The mattress i should have told reception to be fair otherwise i would with out hesitation stay there again. Spotless rooms, fantastic staff and hot food was filling and loved the breakfast. I rarely give 5 stars as there is always improvements in any business or service so maybe 4.8 stars.

Although we hung up the note asking for the room to be cleaned, it was only cleaned half-heartedly. They should also vacuum and dust. Used dishes, for example, are not replaced or taken away. We even tried to make this clear by placing them on the floor, but they were repeatedly put back on the table :-) We also tried to explain this to the cleaning lady, but she didn't understand us; she said she only speaks/understands Spanish. Breakfast was adequate but always the same, so monotonous. Furthermore, there are no slippers available, which should actually be provided in every hotel. We always walked around barefoot. There was carpet on the floor, but I don't think it's very hygienic to be in the bathroom without slippers.

Amazing. 5/5 all round. Amazing smooth check-in. The receptionist saw how tired I was after a flight so she let me check in early and she was very supportive all through the stay. Room was spotless, and very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

We were initially very pleased with our room, the hotel staff seemed nice and lovely at breakfast but we had neighbours up all hours being extremely loud shouting and using the hairdryer most of the night. We called down to reception at 1am and then again at 3am and a staff member went to the room on one occasion to ask them to keep the noise down, but they didn’t listen so we were kept up and didn’t sleep much. Was sad that nothing was done about it and had mentioned during check out to which we got “sorry about that, there was a group of kids in the room” appreciate it wasn’t their fault, but they should make sure they were removed if they weren’t being respectful. Wasn’t worth £280 for 2 nights of no sleep, won’t be back

Convenient location; feels like new location; not a lot of amenities but the area offers everything including a gym right next door. The only drawback is sound- 5th floor room, I could hear everything happening on the street and construction.

During my recent stay, I requested assistance with the heating in my room, as it was extremely cold. I contacted the reception several times and was assured that someone would come to help, but no one ever arrived. As a result, the room remained freezing throughout the night. My partner was coughing and feeling unwell due to the cold, which made the stay very uncomfortable. I was very disappointed both with the lack of proper heating and the poor customer service in handling the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot see myself returning to the hotel in the future.

The hotel were adamant there was no parking spaces due to construction then all of a sudden people had parked there?! Then the room had a table in there but no chair? I asked if I can use a chair from the dining area I was told I have to get it myself and bring it back. In checkout a lady was being told oh madam everything is ok, if you need any chairs we will bring them to you however many you want. The lady saying this sounded Easten European, apologies im of wrong. I’d like to know where this politeness and level or service was when I requested one chair to do my makeup. Also I asked if I could borrow their microwave to heat something, I was told they don’t have one by 4 people yet the same day in the evening my partner came down and he was able to use the microwave? Your customer service leaves much to be desired! We will not even begin to mention the nonsense that happens out the front of the hotel, sounds like screaming banshees. Never again On the plus your bed was comfortable

The hotel is acceptable nothing create just ok. Staff is more worried about their computers than clients. Attn deposit of £100 demanded whilst this is totally fine ( although no 4 stars hotels normally requests this anymore) when you pay with a debit the hotel will reimburse you within 40 days!!!! Which is utterly non acceptable. Obviously to this day waiting for my reimbursement to happen.
The hotel is acceptable nothing create just ok. Staff is more worried about their computers than clients. Attn deposit of £100 demanded whilst this is totally fine ( although no 4 stars hotels normally requests this anymore) when you pay with a debit the hotel will reimburse you within 40 days!!!! Which is utterly non acceptable. Obviously to this day waiting for my reimbursement to happen.

I am rating the service at the reception as very poor. I was expecting a package and informed the staff at the reception when it was due. I tracked the package and informed them they had attempted delivery which they denied. The post office made 2 attempts and had to send the package back. I now have to expedite the package and spend almost 4 times the amount i would have received the package and brought back into the USA myself.

Really enjoyed the stay at Holiday Inn at Croydon. We had arrived much earlier than the check in time - in view to leave our baggage. We were pleasantly surprised by front desk staff (Ali) who kindly accomodated us and checked us in as there was a room available. After the flight to London, this was really a welcoming gesture. Overall, good and quiet room with a view, great breakfast and very courteous staff.

The proximity to train stations, shopping, restaurants and market was perfect. I didn't get a chance to have breakfast at the hotel down to my own busy schedule but otherwise great location.

I came from a longer journey in Somerset and was returning to Scandinavia. I wanted to be close to the airport to catch my flight the following morning. The area around the hotel isn’t very inspiring but the hotel itself is a good experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations. Short walk to the train station with swift connections to Gatwick Airport. Would be happy to stay here again.

The facilities and cleanliness were all very good. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was generous and provided plenty of choice. The location is someway out of the centre of London but still accessible by train. The hotel is close to local amenities for food and supplies.

Closed to 1 hr away from Central London but there was a train station nearby. Staff were very friendly and kind. The room was very clean and nice. Love it. I will definitely stay again at Holiday Inn Express London.

Room was good. Staff polite. Bar at 11.00 pm was very inadequate. No snacks, crisps, peanuts etc, available. Expected better at this hotel. Only one lift working for ten floors, long delays in the morning. The reception/breakfast area feels and looks like a hostel.

We were very impressed with our 2 night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. All interactions with the staff were positive and we would definitely stay there again.

Although we hung up the note asking for the room to be cleaned, it was only cleaned half-heartedly. They should also vacuum and dust. Used dishes, for example, are not replaced or taken away. We even tried to make this clear by placing them on the floor, but they were repeatedly put back on the table :-) We also tried to explain this to the cleaning lady, but she didn't understand us; she said she only speaks/understands Spanish. Breakfast was adequate but always the same, so monotonous. Furthermore, there are no slippers available, which should actually be provided in every hotel. We always walked around barefoot. There was carpet on the floor, but I don't think it's very hygienic to be in the bathroom without slippers.

Great staff, especially Kevin our breakfast server. Reception staff was a plus too, very helpful from beginning to end. Hotel location isn't the best. Specially the nearest with the trash alley. Overall is great choice for commute between the hotel and all the city attractions, Croydon station was about 7 min walking. A huge selection of restaurants, fast food and markets near by the hotel. The air conditioning was a luxury ( Specially in London with temperatures between 76 and 82F ) there's not much place with air conditioning in London. Cleanest was ok. Food selection on the hotel menu isn't what I expected. Breakfast was a just the standard breakfast with not choice of meat if you don't eat pork. Only eggs and pork, not chicken, beef or fish.

Great staff, reception crew was an great help from beginning. The server at breakfast ( Sorry I forgot his name ) was above and beyond. I wish that the hotel air conditioning in the area will be better. Also at the room can drop the temperature below 19C
