Very nice property located where you can walk to the beach, port, cathedral and castle. Comfy bed but carpet was a little funky. Breakfast has a lot of nice choices. Parking is 16€ and very tight. Do not do if you are not an excellent driver with a small car

This is our second stay this year at the Mariposa. A lovely hotel, with fantastic staff. Great location, 5 minute walk from centro station and 10 minute walk from Harbour and al the bars and restaurants. Also has a nice rooftop bar.

I have no idea how the hotel Mariposa has 4 stars. So dated, the bedrooms have an old smelly carpet and old bathrooms. The whole hotels needs updating and renovation badly. The location is fine. Too expensive for what it really is.

We have stayed in Malaga many times. This was the worst hotel we have stayed in, in Malaga. The reception is ok. The lift carpet filthy. Shocked to see carpet in the bedroom which was stained and disgusting The aircon didn’t work properly- on a positive it is in a good location and the bedding and bed were comfy. We were staying for one night at the end of our travels. If we had been staying here longer we would have left.

The location of the hotel is great. Only a few steps away is the main shopping street and the wonderful market. Another big plus is the rooftop bar and the great breakfast selection. What we did not like is the garage facility. We had been told that our car is to big to park downstairs but after we checked, there was plenty parking spaces available. The alternative parking lot was only a block away but very narrow as well. Our hotel room was spacey, the bed very comfy but we did not like the mold smell of the bathroom and would have prefered a wooden floor instead of old carpet in the room. Furthermore we missed a heating in the bathroom, especially after having a shower or a bath.Would not stay there again during chilly winter month. We were surprised to hear the underground commuting below the building. Maybe that vanishes if you stay in a higher floor but in the first floor, it was annoying unfortunately.

We had a good stay at this property. The service was great and the breakfast was delicious. Hotel’s location is very convenient, close to all major sightseeing and shopping areas. The property has a private parking, albeit very tight and pretty difficult to navigate, especially for larger size cars. The only downside is street noise at night. We may have been unlucky, but there was a garbage removal happening at 1am on our first night that included a truck-mounted crane lifting up the garbage dumpsters in the street just outside our window, then emptying and dropping them down, thus causing enormous noise. Other than the noise nuisance, we have enjoyed our stay at Mariposa and would recommend it to others.

Hotel is in very good location, on pedestrian Street, very close to the market, bus stops, train station and in the close proximity to the nice Promenade by the port. Modern reception, rooms and nice roof terrace. Only negative bit was room to warm in the night. When I asked at the reception about help with AC ( I could not cool the room), answer was - all hotel is set to certain temperature(with AC I could make room warmer but not cooler) and they can provide me with fan. I don't want any noise when I'm sleeping (I all ready light sleeper).

This is a great hotel … except for the sound proofing. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Not only do you hear all of the street noise, but also the noise through the bathroom vents (weird). Otherwise, a great hotel with really friendly staff.

Location: Perfect for exploring the city on foot. Easy walk to old town and only a short 15 min walk from the train station. Hotel: Appears newly renovated with modern amenities. Rooms: Had a large suite with equiped kitchen and a seperate seating area. Plenty of space for lobger stays. Staff: Wonderful. Quick check in and they provided good info on restaurants. I would certainly stay here again.

Great location in the soho area of malaga. Within easy walking distance of everything.., the beaches, shops, marina, restaurants and bars, the excellent fresh produce market's. We benefitted from the junior suite room. Very spacious very comfortable. Next to the lift though, so an occasional rumble to be heard every now and again. But we enjoyed ourvstay of three nights.

The only thing I did not like was that the room was too hot. We could not sleep. We were there for two nights. We could not adjust the temperature temperature to turn the AC on. I’m not sure we will stay here again when it’s summertime because it was so uncomfortable when sleeping.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple years. Nice hotel, great location, friendly staff. My only complaint was the room was a bit on the warm side and we were unable to lower the temperature as it is set by the hotel. You can’t change it.

Great hotel. Fabulous location.Everything from greeting on arrival to very stylish bedroom was perfect. Breakfast was superb, we were the last there - it closes at 11.30am weekdays - and the quality of fruit and pastries were far superior to any other hotel buffet I’ve had. Very friendly staff.

Great property in the heart of Málaga. This is my third stay here and it was exactly as the others - excellent. Great location to transport links, walkable to all parts of the city, great selection of nearby bars and restaurants. The property is clean, well maintained and the staff are friendly!

Great hotel on a quiet street but very close to the centre of things, 5 minutes walk to the station (so only 25 minutes from the airport) and 5 minutes to the old town. A very warm welcome from reception, a room found immediately even though we were technically 3 hours before official check-in. And they remembered us when we returned a week later. Breakfast was great value ath loads of options.

Beautiful in the centre of Malaga with very friendly helpful staff. Very convenient for the town centre and port areas. We arrived from the airport by train / underground. Only 4 stops then a 5 minute walk from central station.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we had the best time. The hotel is perfectly situated in a nice neighbourhood close to everything. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet and the breakfast is good. We particularly appreciated the breakfast opening hours (longer than normal) and the roof top terrace. Last but not least, the staff is both friendly and very service minded. They helped us make reservation at a fantastic restaurant (Michelin star), gave recommendations for bike rental with discount when the hotel’s own bikes were not available and - and this was very much appreciated - turned on the cooling system in the building when we told them the night’s to hot in our room (even though it’s only February and they usually don’t have it on). I highly recommend this hotel!

Staff were very friendly and helpful; our booking was on b&b basis; we were provided with picnic breakfast on the day when we had to leave the property early. We would happily return to the hotel. Location is perfect; breakfast was delicious!

Generally a good hotel. A few disappointing issues the nespresso capsules were not replaced after the first nigh. The breakfast was also not great. Or choice of hot food and scrambled eggs were lumpy bacon mainly fat.
