The property itself is pretty. The beach was unfortunately full of gulf weed (we picked a bad time to go). But while laying out at the beach there is no cocktail service. You have to get up each time and walk to the pool bar to get your own drinks/snacks. Not sure if this is normal because other resorts we have been to have a waiter for drinks at the beach so this was disappointing. There was also barely any cleaning at the pool and beach. There was a lot of dirty drink cups and baskets of food at the pool and beach beds. Most of the staff was extremely rude this includes servers, bartenders at the pool bars, and staff at the food trucks. They make you feel unwelcome and make it obvious they are there just for a paycheck. We only had one helpful server, Darlin, and we kept going to the areas where he was working because everyone else was so rude. And there was one great friendly bartender, Osvaldo, he was at the small pool bar so we only saw him one day because we spent most of our days out at the main big pool and beach.

I think this property what made this property unique was that there was no need for us to step outside the resort to be occupied, there was so much going on at the resort itself and it had everything we needed. Food, entertainment, sports, spa, gym. Everything was available and there was always something to do and participate in. We stepped out of the resort twice and that was just out of curiosity and see beyond the resort grounds but we didn’t have to do that.

Really great trip and place to relax and have a great time! Something to do for everyone. Beautiful beach! Beautiful pool! A really comfortable room with everything in excellent condition. Friendly staff everywhere, A+ for the staff! Safe environment. Food is really good everywhere we went. Great job all around. Just be careful with the timeshare scam they try to push on you but it won’t ruin your stay as they won’t insist if you just say yiu’re not interested.

That’s a really pretty resort. The property is big and you have to do a lot of walking, which is nice while you’re on vacation. The gym was a bit small for the amount of people at the resort and with often overcrowded. Don’t miss out on the ice cream shop. It’s really good and you will find the best drinks at the bar in the lobby.

Las instalaciones son bonitas, pero les falta detalles para mejorar, mi experiencia ( piscinas turbias, empleados con malas caras, el buffet siempre con moscas alrededor, la comida mucho por mejorar, se fue la luz yo en el baño en plena oscuridad con mis niños y me enfermé bien feo del estómago ), podría ser 5 estrellas pero por ahora no lo es ;/

A estrutura do hotel é muito boa, com bastante espaço e opcões de alimentação que atendem todos os gostos. Contudo, o quarto tinha um cheiro de mofo insuportável e, ao reclamarmos, nos foi informado que a maioria dos quartos estava assim. Além disso, a limpeza do quarto (muito fraca por sinal), só foi feita em metade dos dias. Outro ponto de atenção foi a demora em todos os atendimentos. Por exemplo, quando chegamos o nosso quarto não tinha toalha e já passavam das 22hrs. Mesmo pedindo ao entrar em ligando de 30 em 30 min para entender o status, só recebemos após meia noite.

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. Let me start off by saying, I have stayed at the majority of the resorts in Punta Cana so please trust what I am telling you. I went during the week of New Years. 1) arrived and checked into room. No sheets on bed. Took almost 4 hours to get sheets. Only two towels in room. Told us they were short on towels. 2) Don't be fooled by buffet pictures. They were serving old food. I promise you: a cook took old pizza that someone who I saw put on a scrap plate and put it on another pizza pan for someone else to eat. 3) there were ROACHES coming OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!! ONE ROACH CAME OUT AND TRIED TO RUN BACK INSIDE THE KITCHEN. THE COOK WAS TRYING TO STEP ON IT. 4) Our stomach had so much gas that we could not sleep. 5) the food is half cooked. So many people complained about the bacon. 6) flies on the food. 7) entertainment was horrible. Need to walk to the beach, which is a distance from the hotels. There vehicles were braking down. 8) limited seating by the pool. AGAIN NO TOWELS. 9) one guest came shouting to front desk saying someone walked in on him while he was making love to his wife and robbed him. 10) drinks were watered down. Poor sanitation!!!!

The hotel was fine. The food was excellent. But our room was full of mosquitos. I killed 35 (no exaggeration) mosquitos. They would hang out in the bathroom ceiling and i would kill them while they were on the wall and ceiling. We called for extermination or a change of room but no ome came or dis anything.

Breakfast staff were fabulous, as was the “Quiet Pool” bartender. Despite serving huge numbers the table staff were awesome. Overall all the staff were great other than one host at the steakhouse that was a bit of twit. Food is not fine dining, but no All Inclusive is. Better than the more expensive AI I was at when we moved to Bayahíbe. (Some of the a la cartes missed the mark, but super easy reservations and no restrictions on # of days etc. Steakhouse was great. Rooms were great. Really only complaint was the wifi in the room was problematic. In restaurants etc no problems. Kids area was fabulous. Large property but trolly was fast/prompt. I had made a location request at booking given some medical issues I have and the management had given me a room that I wasn’t excited about on check-in. However quickly learned that they were absolutely right and it was the perfect room for me. Thank you for that! I’d definitely come back.

Walking into the room I was like this is nice, until I noticed a dead lizard and the stains on the seats. The room never cooled down it was hot! To the point there were no comforters on the bed because they knew the room would never cool down. The maid came only once, we told her no to cleaning but we need towels and the mini fridge restocked( which that didn’t work either !) The room was too far from the beach, the trolley was always packed so it’s hard to get on and off. The Bartenders were not welcoming at all and the drinks were mid at best. The food was trash! We reserved at el Gaucho that was the worst piece of chicken in my life. The only good part was the romantic dinner on the beach.

Tivemos um problema, logo nas primeiras horas de chegada, com as torneiras das pias do banheiro, uma estava quebrada e a outra saia somente água quente. Solicitamos a manutenção, que foi realizada, porém ao retornar ao quarto havia vazamento de água no chão. Após reclamação foi realizado a troca de habitação. O que na minha opinião já deveria ter sido realizado no primeiro momento da reclamação. o Wi Fi no quarto desconectava com frequencia. E as áreas da piscina não conectava intenet de forma alguma, nem mesmo perto do bar. Tivemos um problema, logo nas primeiras horas de chegada, com as torneiras das pias do banheiro, uma estava quebrada e a outra saia somente água quente. Solicitamos a manutenção, que foi realizada, porém ao retornar ao quarto havia vazamento de água no chão. Após reclamação foi realizado a troca de habitação. O que na minha opinião já deveria ter sido realizado no primeiro momento da reclamação. o Wi Fi no quarto desconectava com frequencia. E as áreas da piscina não conectava intenet de forma alguma, nem mesmo perto do bar. What a honeymoon! We loved the Grand Bavaro Princess, it was clean, with beautiful gardens, a great beach and wonderful pools. The food was incredible, especially in the resorts 9 à la carte restaurants. The only thing that was better than the food was the staff in the resort who were kind, polite and very entertaining. We upgraded to platinum which I think is a must for anyone looking for a quieter, romantic getaway. The standard access to the resort would be ideal for families. Looking forward to going again next year!

The customer service representative at the front desk named Pamela was rude and didn’t help me with my issue with restaurant reservations, she had a bad attitude helping me , and the manager need to help me to resolve my issue. Additionally, Expedia does NOT mention any of the strict policies such as booking restaurant reservations 24 hours in advance and rules such as the pool and beach being off limits after 6:00 pm. The resort tried to have activities every night but usually it was just a dance with music which is not something everyone would enjoy. Beware of the sellers they are EVERYWHERE!! Ignoring them is the best you can do if you want to enjoy your vacation because they will not stop bugging you unless you ignore them. They try to scam you with fake “ discounts” and “ free gifts” or just help you out to try and get you to buy an excursion. The buffet and food trucks were amazing there were MANY options for all kinds of people even picky kids. The buffet does have very strict hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner which again were not told to me prior to booking this resort. The restaurants have decent food options and quick service. The pools were okay nothing special, the beach was nice but full of algae at the time I went.

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, hay distintas actividades para realizar, buena animación, espacios limpios. El servicio es pesimo, al parecer solo atienden bien si se dan propinas grandes, yo daba propinas pero si me llegan a atender de mala manera desde un principio claramente no lo iba a hacer. Si se deja eso aparte el hotel cumple, buena piscina, bastantes bares y restaurantes, la playa muy limpia también.

Really great trip and place to relax and have a great time! Something to do for everyone. Beautiful beach! Beautiful pool! A really comfortable room with everything in excellent condition. Friendly staff everywhere, A+ for the staff! Safe environment. Food is really good everywhere we went. Great job all around. Just be careful with the timeshare scam they try to push on you but it won’t ruin your stay as they won’t insist if you just say yiu’re not interested.

The check in was a little bit crazy, we came in on a Friday and there was a lot of people. The staff was very diligent in checking you in quick and getting you to have lunch. After that first day we had lots of fun. The only thing I would say is that part of the property has something like a timeshare so they are always fishing for prospect clients. Besides from that everything was good. The restaurant Il Tartufo was so good and El Gaucho too. Use the buffet by the beach for lunch and breakfast was the best thing we did.

Snider at the front desk was awesome they greeted us with mimosas and a cake for my fiancée Luigi was also very helpful and extremely funny really enjoy it be aware if you go to the conference to buy a timeshare the main lady was extremely sarcastic and did not make us feel welcomed it all the sales guy was extremely knowledgeable and we felt bad leaving after 45 min but the lady had no customer service whatsoever, besides that cleaning people where very nice would definitely recommend this hotel .

I beg you not to waste your money on this resort! When you first arrive, things start off confusing with bell boys and it feels unwelcoming. Not 48 hours in we knew that we would never come back. Many of the staff is dismissive, acts bothered, and is at times outright rude.They don’t do a good job with explaining what all is included in your particular package, and they do not explain the other things that are important to know. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible around the whole property. Room service food is trash and is not free for non-platinum members. We were platinum, but we didn’t really feel like there was much special about it. The platinum pool area is very small and always packed. The main pool is dirty and needs maintenance. The cleaning ladies do a good job, but they are very loud out in the hallways and around the property with other staff members. They start yelling at each other at about 7 AM. The beach is filled with so much seaweed and really smells. There are so many sales people along the beach and they even come up to your chairs to sell you stuff. Even in the platinum area. Three out of the four of us got food poisoning and my husband spent about 3 1/2 days of our one week in our room. There’s not enough on site transport. You usually have to walk so you can make your restaurant reservation time. The Royal Holiday people drive around the property all day, searching for people to sell a membership to. They told us it would take an hour. It took 3.5!

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was simply paradise on earth! The grounds are beautifully maintained — everything is clean, green, and picturesque. The staff are friendly, always smiling, and ready to help with anything. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a great view of the ocean. The food was absolutely amazing — a wide variety of dishes for every taste, all fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the fruits and seafood. The bartenders make excellent cocktails, and there’s always entertainment in the evenings — live music, shows, or dancing. The beach is just perfect: white sand, turquoise water, and plenty of sunbeds. The sea is warm and crystal clear — you can swim all day long. Overall, this place is somewhere I’d love to come back to again and again. The perfect destination for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. 💙

The staff could be more helpful. They had us waiting 2 hours for towels. The check in staff was excellent. The bathroom soap dispenser was moldy and bathroom had a mildew smell to it . However the property is very close to night life and the casino has a club you get free entry to by being a guest . The beaches have the softest sand nice loungers and shade huts, beautiful waves, water is not super clear ( sandy) but beautiful and clean sounds of the crashing waves fantastic for relaxing, nice pool rooms are clean and spacious, this is a large resort lots of walking nice sidewalks and trams to take you from place to place, grounds are beautiful and manicured flowers and birds everywhere just gorgeous, restaurants are clean and friendly staff lots of options for food choices fresh fruit and coffee.

The beach view was amazing but seaweed ruined one of the days we were there. The main pool was under maintenance but opened up our last day there. Didnt get a chance to experience the spa or much of the surrounding areas minus the travel to and from the resort but feom what we saw it didnt look very pleasing. The resort itself is extremely beautiful though. We plan to come back for our future wedding.

This is a beautiful resort! Many options of food and drink everywhere. Unfortunately, we were there during hurricane season which meant that there was a lot of rain. But that did not stop from our excursions or us having fun. We even had a massage on the beach during the storm and it was very relaxing. The rooms are very nice. The people are wonderful. I would suggest either having a room by the main lodge or by the beach. We were by the main lodge. Easy to walk to entertainment, food and transportation. There is a trolley that runs consistently throughout the resort. But the walk to the beach is not so bad either. Depending on your package, some restaurants and areas of the property are not included. So, double check the different packages that are offered. I would definitely recommend this resort and Dominican Republic in general for anyone...families, couples or just a friends vacation.

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. Let me start off by saying, I have stayed at the majority of the resorts in Punta Cana so please trust what I am telling you. I went during the week of New Years. 1) arrived and checked into room. No sheets on bed. Took almost 4 hours to get sheets. Only two towels in room. Told us they were short on towels. 2) Don't be fooled by buffet pictures. They were serving old food. I promise you: a cook took old pizza that someone who I saw put on a scrap plate and put it on another pizza pan for someone else to eat. 3) there were ROACHES coming OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!! ONE ROACH CAME OUT AND TRIED TO RUN BACK INSIDE THE KITCHEN. THE COOK WAS TRYING TO STEP ON IT. 4) Our stomach had so much gas that we could not sleep. 5) the food is half cooked. So many people complained about the bacon. 6) flies on the food. 7) entertainment was horrible. Need to walk to the beach, which is a distance from the hotels. There vehicles were braking down. 8) limited seating by the pool. AGAIN NO TOWELS. 9) one guest came shouting to front desk saying someone walked in on him while he was making love to his wife and robbed him. 10) drinks were watered down. Poor sanitation!!!!

I’ve been to this location now six years in a row. I will say that the grounds are nice and the dining options are plentiful, and you must make reservations to enjoy anything other than the buffet for dinner. They have a small selection of shopping on site and transportation around the property, which helps. Dining options include, Teppanyaki, a steakhouse, Italian, seafood, Mexican, and plenty of dessert options. There’s a small café on site and a beautiful lounge bar. Where one of my favorite staff members Clara works in. She’s been greeting us warmly for the last 6 years. I will note that her level of kindness does not extend to the full staff. Some staff are rude and not welcoming and this has contributed to my rating unfortunately. I also think this will be my last year visiting this location based on this continue level of service.

Overall property was clean and quiet, but the beach was very dirty!! We were unable to go to the beach and I did not like how you had to make reservations for the restaurants(WiFi is always down and most of the restaurants are booked).

The property was not clean, and the room had many mosquitoes. Most of the staff spoke very limited English. We were told the room would be deep cleaned and sprayed for bugs the next morning, but this never happened. On the second day of our trip, money was stolen from our room. The vent is positioned directly above the bed, blowing cold air onto your head while you sleep. Requests for basic items were difficult to fulfill. The bedding consisted of only a thin sheet—no proper blanket like most hotels provide. The alternative blanket they offered was dirty, yellow, and rough. The food quality was very poor; the meats were consistently overcooked and dishes were either bland or overly salty. The breakfast and lunch buffets served the exact same items every day. The resort has à la carte restaurants that can only be booked through their app, but the app is constantly down, making reservations nearly impossible unless you check repeatedly days in advance. The food at these restaurants felt like repurposed buffet leftovers presented in a slightly different way. Because many staff members barely speak English, ordering drinks was frustrating—often they would nod as if they understood but never bring the drink, or it would take 15–20 minutes to receive one at the buffet. I could go on, but it would be endless. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this resort at all costs.

Llegué y la habitación no tenía completo las cosas del minibar , además en ducha los utensilios estaba usados ( shampo, acondicionador, etc) tuve que pedir cambio/reposición. La comida, si fue muy buena. Las bebidas no tan buena calidad, pero aceptables . El spa, asumi que estaba incluido, más no fue así, tiene costo adicional. La atención y ayuda del personal, fue bueno, no extraordinario. El sargazo, tenía cubierta la playa. Así que esa parte en estas fechas es muy mala opción , si vas especialmente a ello.

We traveled with our 5-month-old and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, the amenities were great, and the hotel itself was very nice. The main issue we experienced was with mosquitoes coming out from the bathroom drains, particularly the shower drain and around the base of the toilet, likely due to water retention. There was no unpleasant smell, and everything was otherwise very clean, so this seemed more like a maintenance/plumbing issue rather than a cleanliness problem. We ended up killing more than 20 mosquitoes and had to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent them from getting into the room. We still enjoyed our stay, but I strongly recommend that the hotel address this issue, especially since families with young children may be staying in the rooms. As for the food, we were not particularly impressed with the buffet, as the options were somewhat limited and not as good as we expected. We did, however, visit the Italian restaurant, where the steak and food were very good, and the service was excellent. Overall, we had a nice stay and appreciated the cleanliness, amenities, and service. Hopefully, the hotel can resolve the mosquito issue coming from the bathroom drains, as that would make the experience much better.
