I will say The staff was awesome, only one minor issue with a guy called Digital at the lobby bar, his bad manners are not going to make me trash the hard work of others. Evryone from Omar at the trolleys to the wait staff Alexandrina,Santos, Dominga are awesome Wellington and Wally at the pool bar, Javier with the loungers and the gentelmen in the green suit that provides the coconut, The towel guy is super cool and Silvia the massues at the SPA AWESOME..THE POOL GREAT THE BEACH AWESOME..THE ENTERTAIMENT GREAT INTERACTIVE AND VARIED THE CARNAVAL WAS GREAT AS WELL AS THE BEACH PARTY. OHHH THE SPORTS BAR!!! WAS A GREAT PLACE TO WATVH THE GAMES and Joel provided excellent service.

Property was very nice. Downside was that several activities (bowling, billiards, etc) advertised were only available at extra cost. Breakfast and lunch buffet was decent at best, but dinners were very nice. Be sure to pack your own sunscreen because the gift shop was amazingly high priced!

Very nice hotel with great staff as a solo, senior citizen and a very, very short, senior citizen. I found the pool to be too deep even at the swim up bar it was up to my neck and there are no railings to get in and out of the pool, but it’s a beautiful hotel. The nature is magnificent. The lobby bar is great not sure I would go back because of the safety issues in the pool.

I would give this 3.75 out of 5. The property was gorgeous and very well kept. You could see a lot of local wildlife including peacocks, ducks, flamingoes and iguanas on site. It has plenty of bars for access to drinks and 3 separate pools, one catering to kids with a small water park and being located outside of the kids club. It is also located right on the beach which is also kept clean and offers several free loungers with umbrellas. They offer multiple al a carte restaurants that are open for dinner with reservations and a decent buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, we did run into a few cons. The free wifi is awful and only consistently worked in the front lobby. This was also a pain because you needed internet access to make reservations at the restaurants. When we were able to make reservations most restaurants were booked and the ones available only had 9pm spots available. (One night they did call to see if we wanted to come earlier to one of our reservations). The vendors and excursion solicitations are the worst we've ever experienced. People would come up to guests relaxing at the pool to solicit. We found ourselves trying to find routes to avoid solicitors. Lastly, the gym is very small but very utilized. We tried to go every morning and it was cramped with 10 people. Luckily, the property is quite large so we were able to just walk around to get in some exercise but this also made us open to more soliciting.

The view was clean and smelled good bed was very comfortable the view from our room was perfect the pool was clean the beach area was well kept me and my son enjoyed it. The 24 hour sports bar was excellent and the coffee shop we had a nice relaxing time the activities host was also very pleasant

Astonishing landscape and layout of the property. The birds and other animals were amazing. 3 huge pools. Beach was awesome. Plenty of chairs and space to sit. The merchants were borderline harassing. Food was decent. Did not enjoy that the buffet was closed when we were hungry. Drinks were mediocre. Very sweet and we always were served the low end alcohol even though the top grade alcohol was visible. The room was definitely cold and pretty much up to par. 2 rolls of toilet paper per day became an issue at one point. Front desk was not very helpful in getting us another roll. Would not recommend using the ATM due to outrageous rates. Overall we really enjoyed the property but some negative aspects did not sit well with us.

It was pretty decent but alcohol was weak and nasty, food was sometimes good but mostly not and besides the buffet the menu doesn’t have much to choose from. Staff was friendly enough but does not go the extra mile, barely even saw them smile. Also for anyone reading this the pool closes at 6pm but doesn’t say that on the website at least not easy to find.

The people at the resort were kind, but the experience overall was disappointing. The food was nasty, and the resort wasn’t very clean. Even though it’s supposed to be all-inclusive, you have to pay extra for almost everything—better food, better wine, activities, and more. They advertise the resort as kid-friendly, but there really isn’t much for children to do. The few things that looked fun for kids required an additional fee, which was frustrating. Cleanliness was also inconsistent throughout the resort. All in all, I didn’t like it and I won’t be going back. The only reason I had a good time was because I was with my family.

Beach area was nice and clean. Water was beautiful. The check in process was easy and front house staff were pleasant. Food was decent at best. The worst was housekeeping. We had to ask several times everyday to get fresh towels. Not because we were using so many but because none were provided at all. We couldn’t get wash cloths or hand towels for our entire stay no matter how many times we asked. The sheets were a little dirty and we asked to get them changed but it never happened. When we did get towels the used ones were left in the shower but the housekeeping staff never remove them. You could tell this was common practice because the floor of the shower was dirty and had mold build up. Nothing was ever cleaned. Breakfast was only ok. When arriving in the morning the tables didn’t have cups or silverware. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes for coffee sometimes. I try to keep in mind the wait staff work long hours. The folks working early morning breakfast were also working late diner shift. The resort needs to do better. I would not return to this resort.

Je suis globalement déçue par cet hôtel qui certe a de belles infrastructures mais le service au client est médiocre les gens qui travaillent à l hôtel pas souriant peut être est ce du au fait que cet hôtel est bien trop grand avec un brassage de gens qui laisse peu de place à l humain Les chambres sont belles mais puent l’humidité il y’a. Beaucoup de bruit et les toilettes sentent Pas de jus pressé pour un 5 étoiles et la nourriture laisse à désirer nous avons été malade ma fille et moi

Firstly, they charged us additional for children when we clearly booked 2 children on our reservation. The rooms smelled like raw sewage, I had to sleep with the balcony door open to tolerate the smell. The buffet was inedible. We ate at restaurants off the resort. There were roaches in the rooms. It was by far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed in!

Wi-Fi was not working, I called 7 times. No one came to fix the issue. The bed sheet was dirty and had a bad odor. Pillow was not cleaned. Bed had bed bugs, I got bitten on my feet.

There was the smell of a sewer for the first 2 days. Mosquitoes were everywhere but then the property sprayed and they were reduced. Bird droppings are on some of the chairs in the buffet area. Some had mildew. The beds are made with 2 sheets only, this was very unusual but might be an eco measure. The bathroom area had little privacy. The shower area was airtight so it smelled like mold if we didn’t leave the enclosure open. When we first checked in we had to ask housekeeping to change one of the pillows because it was smelly and to re-clean the shower area to remove some mildew spots. It was satisfactory afterwards.

The staff seem to only go out of their way for a tip. I don’t necessarily like it when they only assist you as long as you have cash on hand to offer. On top of this, they allow vendors to visit the property to sell stuff and constantly bother you when you walk past. The vendors are only there to scam people. Upon arrival, I was excited to try out one of their many restaurants, and tried to book a reservation online, and apparently all of them were reserved during the entirety of our stay. We were forced to eat at the buffet our entire stay. Another frustrating thing is that they close the pools and the beaches very early. If you plan on waiting for the sun to not be as hot to go swimming you better just assume you won’t be able to swim at all. The people at the activities center at the beach over charge you, and make sure you don’t take photos with any animals on the beach, because they take advantage of foreigners and demand money from them. The maids only give out one bathroom towel per person, and only one device can have WiFi in your room. So my husband and I had to switch between who will use the WiFi just to use our phones in bed. It wouldn’t be an issue if there was enough cell service to reach my phone, but of course there wasn’t. I will not be going back.

If you plan on waiting for the sun to not be as hot to go swimming you better just assume you won’t be able to swim at all. The people at the activities center at the beach over charge you, and make sure you don’t take photos with any animals on the beach, because they take advantage of foreigners and demand money from them. The maids only give out one bathroom towel per person, and only one device can have WiFi in your room. So my husband and I had to switch between who will use the WiFi just to use our phones in bed. It wouldn’t be an issue if there was enough cell service to reach my phone, but of course there wasn’t. I will not be going back.

Only real complaint, beach chairs are being hogged all day by people who arent even near by or on beach. Setting towels on chairs first thing in the morning then going about their days without spending much time on the chairs at all. Room also would get a musky stink and sewer smells every afternoon.

The property was beautiful. The grounds were well kept. The walking path from the lobby to residence was a highlight with animals in their natural habitat like turtles, iguanas and birds. The beach area was large and open and after walking the beach was in my opinion the best. We had a very basic room and a terrible view but I would recommend paying extra for ome facing the ocean or property. Toilet didn’t flush that well was my only complaint. There was always fresh towels everyday. I have celiac and I had to navigate the food by myself. The buffet has one very small gluten free area (bread and cookies). The main food was not labelled with allergens and staff were not informed so left me with grilled chicken, rice potatoes mainly. Breakfast was the best (bring your own gluten free bagels etc). The chef at japanese restaurant was the only one that took my letter stated I was celiac the most serious and was the most informed. I would recommend this resort!

The linen needs updating. Towels were dingy. The room had a mildew odor. One of my peoples smelt like “funk”, like someone with body odor slept with the people between their legs.

I have been to this resort 6 times previously, with minor issues, but this time was different. We had 3 rooms. All 3 needed to be changed because of either raining from the ceiling, water and mold in the bathroom and AC not working. They did provide us a change and upgrade (for a fee). The bar service was substandard, they spent more time arguing with each other, than serving drinks. The buffet was very basic this time, but what got me was sitting in for morning coffee and watching a plate with food sit on the table for 1.5 hours, while staff walked by and birds flew in and picked it apart. The sports bar, TWICE, served me a cold, not warm, but fridge cold burger and onion rings. I was violently sick the last 2 days of my trip. I don't usually complain for small things and I did let a lot of things slide, but I did send an internal review to the hotel check in and they offered us "Platinum" restaurant access, but it served mostly fish, which none of us eat. So they sent us fruit and champagne, which I couldn't eat or drink at this point, because I became so sick.

Staff and drinks were great. Buffett food was subpar and I’m almost certain I got food poisoning from the salad bar. Be sure to make reservations at the beginning of your stay for the restaurants on site. Room was nice despite the only downfall being the must smell.

The food was good overall, the buffet changed constantly with plenty of variety even for breakfast. You can only book reservations at specialty restaurants 3 days in advance and not every restaurant is open every day. You can make dinner reservations in the hotel app, but it’s easier to do at the dinner booking desk in the lobby. However, Anna Maria at the dinner booking desk was extremely rude when we attempted to ask to rebook our dinner reservation after missing it due to a late returning excursion. She was patronizing and didn’t even attempt to help. Winston, Santos and Jose De La Paz are amazing, otherwise the wait staff doesn’t go out of their way to help you unless you tip. At the pools and on the beach, there isn’t chair service for food and drinks like in other countries. They need more people to keep things clean around the pool area (pick up cups, etc). The rooms are nice, working shower and toilet, always had good water pressure and hot water. Every room has a balcony with outdoor space. The towels are a bit dingy and need to be refreshed as do the cloth napkins at restaurants, sometimes they had lipstick and stains on them. The alcohol is basic well alcohol and you can only get name brand if you upgrade to the Premium package ($40 per day, per person). I’ve never experienced this and I’ve been to over 10 all-inclusive hotels throughout the Caribbean. There is a 24-hour sports bar behind the lobby, this is the only night life.

Beach area was nice and clean. Water was beautiful. The check in process was easy and front house staff were pleasant. Food was decent at best. The worst was housekeeping. We had to ask several times everyday to get fresh towels. Not because we were using so many but because none were provided at all. We couldn’t get wash cloths or hand towels for our entire stay no matter how many times we asked. The sheets were a little dirty and we asked to get them changed but it never happened. When we did get towels the used ones were left in the shower but the housekeeping staff never remove them. You could tell this was common practice because the floor of the shower was dirty and had mold build up. Nothing was ever cleaned. Breakfast was only ok. When arriving in the morning the tables didn’t have cups or silverware. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes for coffee sometimes. I try to keep in mind the wait staff work long hours. The folks working early morning breakfast were also working late diner shift. The resort needs to do better. I would not return to this resort.

Felt completely bamboozled by this resort. Food was bad, and the timing was off. Breakfast from 7-10:30, lunch 12-5 and dinner from 6-10:30. If you missed out during those time slots you’d be SOL. The cafe to get coffee didn’t open until late. The service was bad. The drinks were bad. The pool wasn’t very clean. They play outdated music and it’s the same playlist every damn day. The pool closes at 6pm. Just bad all around.

El hotel estaba bien pero Expedia no lo catalogo como 5 stars. Esto es un complejo de hoteles Princess, el Gran Bavaro Princess es el mejor a nuestra consideracion. El servicio al cliente es bien pobre, mala cara de algunos empleados, tanto a la hora de hacer una solicitud como de atenderte. La comida no era muy variada para un hotel de 5 estrellas, camarones small, mala calidad. Fuimos al restaurante Dominicano (mofongo y salcocho) y el Italiano. Lo recomendamos mucho mas que ir al buffete. Consideramos que bajaron el estandar del hotel debido a la cantidad de Dominicanos hospedados, ya que despues que estos se fueron la energia del hotel cambio y los dependientes fueron mas amables. Las habitaciones a pesar que limpiaban siempre estaban con el piso mojado. Deben asegurarse que en la recepcion les entregan las tarjetas de las toallas de playa porque de lo contrario tendran que regresar al lobby a recogerlas. La estructura del hotel es bonita y esta bien cuidado, te sientes en contacto con la naturaleza. En la noche hay shows nocturnos y animacion. Eramos un grupo de 4 personas incluyendo 1 niño de 2 años, es un hotel ideal para familias. Definitivamente este hotel tiene mucho potencial para mejorar la experiencia de los huespedes, ofrecer mas; pero necesita mejor administracion, el servicio al cliente, limpieza y comida.

I had a fantastic stay at this property! The location was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and always spotless. The food was delicious with a great variety. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

We really enjoyed our time as a family of 5 (3 small kids) Everything was a one minute walk from each other- room-food-pool-beach, which made the setup so convenient. The lobby was the only thing a bit of a distance but there were shuttles every 10 minutes or less. I liked that the evening shows were at the lobby and away from the rooms, so the nights we put the kids to bed early it was quiet and couldn’t hear music or show at all. The beach was beautiful, clear water, there were waves everyday but even our 6 and 3 year old had fun playing in the ocean. The food was average, but we only ever ate in the buffet, we didn’t try any of the La carte restaurants. The only negative was the stairs going up to our room on the second floor always had a bad septic type smell. Everything was always clean, just a smell in the stair area that was very displeasing. But our room was very clean and comfortable, no complaints. The coffee shop was great too, we enjoyed the frappe daily!

I would give this 3.75 out of 5. The property was gorgeous and very well kept. You could see a lot of local wildlife including peacocks, ducks, flamingoes and iguanas on site. It has plenty of bars for access to drinks and 3 separate pools, one catering to kids with a small water park and being located outside of the kids club. It is also located right on the beach which is also kept clean and offers several free loungers with umbrellas. They offer multiple al a carte restaurants that are open for dinner with reservations and a decent buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, we did run into a few cons. The free wifi is awful and only consistently worked in the front lobby. This was also a pain because you needed internet access to make reservations at the restaurants. When we were able to make reservations most restaurants were booked and the ones available only had 9pm spots available. (One night they did call to see if we wanted to come earlier to one of our reservations). The vendors and excursion solicitations are the worst we've ever experienced. People would come up to guests relaxing at the pool to solicit. We found ourselves trying to find routes to avoid solicitors. Lastly, the gym is very small but very utilized. We tried to go every morning and it was cramped with 10 people. Luckily, the property is quite large so we were able to just walk around to get in some exercise but this also made us open to more soliciting.

Astonishing landscape and layout of the property. The birds and other animals were amazing. 3 huge pools. Beach was awesome. Plenty of chairs and space to sit. The merchants were borderline harassing. Food was decent. Did not enjoy that the buffet was closed when we were hungry. Drinks were mediocre. Very sweet and we always were served the low end alcohol even though the top grade alcohol was visible. The room was definitely cold and pretty much up to par. 2 rolls of toilet paper per day became an issue at one point. Front desk was not very helpful in getting us another roll. Would not recommend using the ATM due to outrageous rates. Overall we really enjoyed the property but some negative aspects did not sit well with us.

From arrival the experience in Caribe Deluxe Princess was impressive. The grounds of the property are well maintained and have plenty to do. Staff we're very friendly throughout the stay. The pools are awesome and the beach is great. My inconvenience were that even if I had a reservation for the Brazilian restaurant, the staff had me wait for 30 minutes, and even then I couldn't be seated because they were full. I had to leave the restaurant and find somewhere else to eat as my blood sugar was running dangerously low. I also did not like that when ordering transportation, like UBER, I could not be picked up or dropped off in the main lobby. Front security was pretty rude and ensure I understood that he was going to make me walk from front gate to the hotel at 3am. Even if the area is safe, being defensive with the guest is something I did not understand. There should be 2 guards at night to ensure guest could be dropped in the lobby without having unwanted people to walk in to the hotel. The food in El Pilón was not good. The food in the Asian and Mexican restaurants was good. The buffet makes good breakfasts and pastas. There are artisan salesmen on some days. They we're very pushy to sell their products and this made me uncomfortable. They would not take no for an answer. Tours sold on the properties are not always what the staff sells. I went on a catamaran tour and the waves we're too i te se to enjoy, but the sales man told me it was a perfect day before booking.

El espacio excelente! Solo Tuve un inconveniente que al llegar mi cuarto apestaba a que estuvieron las sabanas mojadas mucho tiempo pero tan pronto me queje en el lobby me movieron a otro cuarto de inmediato. Otra cosa que no me gusto fue que las reservaciones para los restaurantes fueron muy dificiles de hacer!! Tuvimos que hablar con empleados etc y en algunos nos toco reservaciones muy tardes… La comida en el buffet 7/10 Pero en los restaurantes 20/10 excelente!!! ***RECOMENDACION*** haga las reservaciones de los restaurantes con empleados de alli mismo!! No en la app porque nunca hay espacio!

Na recepção do hotel você já sente que escolheu um hotel de luxo, e isso se confirma quando chega ao quarto e também nos restaurantes e demais áreas do hotel. O quarto é muito espaçoso, com camas e travesseiros grandes e confortáveis. A ducha é sensacional. Uma preocupação nossa na hora de escolher o resort em que íamos ficar era com a comida, uma vez que encontramos muitas reclamações neste quesito em praticamente todos os all inclusives de punta cana. Mas só temos elogios a fazer em relação aos buffetts, tanto no café da manhã como almoço e jantar, sempre com grande variedade de carnes, peixes, frangos, saladas, pães, frios, etc, e comida muito saborosa. Muitas opções mesmo. Quase impossível não encontrar algo que vc goste. A área de praia e piscinas tem una estrutura ótima, com um snack bar que oferece uma boa variedade de itens para uma refeição rápida. As piscinas maiores não são aquecidas mas nos dias de calor e sol não faz falta. Fomos em todos os restaurantes temáticos e gostamos mais do mexicano e do dominicano. O italiano e o brasileiro achamos que podem melhorar. As reservas podem ser feitas por app e pode ir neles todos os dias. Tem carrinho de golf o tempo todo para se locomover pelo resort. Nossa filha de 3 anos adorou o sorvete e os shows infantis que tinha todas as noites. Tivemos um problema com o cofre do quarto no primeiro dia mas liguei na manutenção e em uns 5 minutos já tinha um funcionário batendo na porta e o consertou. Voltaria com toda certeza.

Good was not good at this time. The best meal we had was at the paid restaurant by the beach. The all inclusive food was the same everyday. We got very sick, we believe it was food poisoning.

The food options are a joke. We were forced to eat at the buffet for the duration of our visit because the hotel had overbooked and you couldn’t make reservations through the app that they tell you to download. I only found out that that was the reason why we couldn’t make reservations and it was suggested that we should have called customer service to make reservations when we were checking out. How helpful to us at checkout? So we endurer the buffet which had mediocre food with both adults and children picking off the food with their hands.

El hotel estaba bien pero Expedia no lo catalogo como 5 stars. Esto es un complejo de hoteles Princess, el Gran Bavaro Princess es el mejor a nuestra consideracion. El servicio al cliente es bien pobre, mala cara de algunos empleados, tanto a la hora de hacer una solicitud como de atenderte. La comida no era muy variada para un hotel de 5 estrellas, camarones small, mala calidad. Fuimos al restaurante Dominicano (mofongo y salcocho) y el Italiano. Lo recomendamos mucho mas que ir al buffete. Consideramos que bajaron el estandar del hotel debido a la cantidad de Dominicanos hospedados, ya que despues que estos se fueron la energia del hotel cambio y los dependientes fueron mas amables. Las habitaciones a pesar que limpiaban siempre estaban con el piso mojado. Deben asegurarse que en la recepcion les entregan las tarjetas de las toallas de playa porque de lo contrario tendran que regresar al lobby a recogerlas. La estructura del hotel es bonita y esta bien cuidado, te sientes en contacto con la naturaleza. En la noche hay shows nocturnos y animacion. Eramos un grupo de 4 personas incluyendo 1 niño de 2 años, es un hotel ideal para familias. Definitivamente este hotel tiene mucho potencial para mejorar la experiencia de los huespedes, ofrecer mas; pero necesita mejor administracion, el servicio al cliente, limpieza y comida.

It was pretty decent but alcohol was weak and nasty, food was sometimes good but mostly not and besides the buffet the menu doesn’t have much to choose from. Staff was friendly enough but does not go the extra mile, barely even saw them smile. Also for anyone reading this the pool closes at 6pm but doesn’t say that on the website at least not easy to find.

Staff and drinks were great. Buffett food was subpar and I’m almost certain I got food poisoning from the salad bar. Be sure to make reservations at the beginning of your stay for the restaurants on site. Room was nice despite the only downfall being the must smell.

The food was good overall, the buffet changed constantly with plenty of variety even for breakfast. You can only book reservations at specialty restaurants 3 days in advance and not every restaurant is open every day. You can make dinner reservations in the hotel app, but it’s easier to do at the dinner booking desk in the lobby. However, Anna Maria at the dinner booking desk was extremely rude when we attempted to ask to rebook our dinner reservation after missing it due to a late returning excursion. She was patronizing and didn’t even attempt to help. Winston, Santos and Jose De La Paz are amazing, otherwise the wait staff doesn’t go out of their way to help you unless you tip. At the pools and on the beach, there isn’t chair service for food and drinks like in other countries. They need more people to keep things clean around the pool area (pick up cups, etc). The rooms are nice, working shower and toilet, always had good water pressure and hot water. Every room has a balcony with outdoor space. The towels are a bit dingy and need to be refreshed as do the cloth napkins at restaurants, sometimes they had lipstick and stains on them. The alcohol is basic well alcohol and you can only get name brand if you upgrade to the Premium package ($40 per day, per person). I’ve never experienced this and I’ve been to over 10 all-inclusive hotels throughout the Caribbean. There is a 24-hour sports bar behind the lobby, this is the only night life.

Terrible stay Lots of repairs going on. The hotel needs a lot of improvement as things are not well maintained. So many details overall. Ac wasn’t working properly and they had to switch us to another room. Floors were not clean. Shower was leaking outside so there was water all over. Toilet wasn’t working properly Towels were OLD and thin. Pillows smelled really intense (humidity) Parts of the pools were like falling apart of dirty. Food quality was very bad We had a roach in our room Customer service was very mediocre Hotel overall feels like a 3 star. I don’t know were they get a 5 star at all. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds are very soft depending if you like that. We had two rooms and one had better air conditioning than the other. Sometimes they didn’t clean the rooms till late which caused us to have to go else where when we wanted to just relax. We loved all the birds and animals walking around the property. The TV wasn’t great no Netflix or any good channels. The food was mediocre. You have to make reservations at all the restaurants on the property so the first 2 nights we ate at the buffet. There is a lot of choices but other than the pizza we much was really good the other things were just ok. The coffee place and ice cream place were awesome and definitely worth a little walk to get there. The beach was beautiful but had a lot of seaweed while we were there so stayed at the pools mostly. The bar in the pool is just ok but we preferred the other bar. The they were the margaritas were really good. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Great resort for the price the food could have been better but for the price it was just fine. It was the first all inclusive that I stayed at and I think maybe it’s just not my thing to stay and eat for an entire week. I think for a long weekend it would have been great.
