Be prepared to sit through a dales presentation for the vacation club. Big property. Walk alot

Very family friendly. Pools and waterpark are lovely. Kids played in the water all day. Shuttles run 24hours a day but walking the property is beautiful site seeing. The kids daycare was also lovely, friendly staff and kids loved it.

They could include some activities like the flow Rider, the mini golf and other activities to the all inclusive experience. Also, they need to pay attention to the cleaning list of the restrooms on the common areas like the standalone restaurants and the theater.

I have been to this place every year (sometimes twice) and each time it seems to get worse. Food at the buffet has never changes and its not very tasty. Desserts are not good and have no taste. My biggest problem: they are so oriented to “members” that they aggressively sell, and not to normal visitors. Most pools are members only, some places to eat are members only, good sections on the beach are members only. So unless you’re a member, I would recommend taking business elsewhere.

Overall, the Casino was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The Resort rooms were very nice, liked the Bathrooms with separate toilet area and Walk-in Showers. Although, the Toilet area should have better Door privacy and lock to make you feel secure and private! Now the Activities, well if the Resort is All-Inclusive, why charge for Bowling $20 per Game....ridiculous and this is Mini Bowling! Mini Golf $10 per person for 10 Holes....again Ridiculous, the only Free inclusive Activity is the Pools. They had really good Pools, if the Lazy River would have been longer, I would have said Great Pools....The Beach area was good considering some Seaweed....The Food in the Restaurants were decent...There are plenty places to eat and snack every where! Be careful during the Off Resort tours and activities though Expedia! We booked two Off Resort Dune Buggy Activities, paid over $190. And neither Vendor was allowed on the Resort. So, we decided to cancel both and had problems contacting Expedia. When we finally reached Expedia, had to speak to several Agents before getting a Supervisor, who then stated that she would only Refund One Excursion! We will fight this tooth and nail...As Expedia should know which companies have Resort access and which ones don't! I mean that what we paid the Travel companies like Expedia for....to know these things and make our Trip Safe, Secure and Relaxing! So, Overall....the HardRock gets a strong 8+ or -9 out of 10. Expedia 6+.....

Great place!! Clean a lot of pools for everyone. They have food and snacks everywhere. Very convenient!

They should fumigate the restaurant areas. At Zen, we saw a cockroach while we were waiting in the teppanyaki area. We let the manager and waitress know. Everything is fine with the hotel, but they should fumigate to control pests.

The place is huge! There is a lot of walking to get to and from restaurants, pools, etc. there are golf carts to rent and train stations (golf carts operated by staff) that would take you around the property but most of them were full and usually would have to wait for about 10 minutes. Most staff were friendly but some (specially in the pool area) seemed to be annoyed to be there. The jacuzzi tub in my room was dirty, I noticed it the second day I was there and decided not to call since I was leaving the next day.

Food and drinks were medicore. Outside tub/jacuzzi was stained black. Shower had mold in the corner.

The place was spotless inside and out, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was truly amazing, and I had such a wonderful time. If I could change one thing, it would be the food it was a bit on the salty side and made me feel a little sick. But other than that, everything was perfect. While we were there, my mother had a medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital. The staff at the clinic were beyond amazing caring, patient, and professional. The taxi driver who took them stayed with her the entire five hours, which truly touched my heart. I didn’t catch the lady’s name at the clinic or the taxi driver’s, but I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and support they showed us during such a scary moment. You all went above and beyond, and I’ll never forget it. ❤️ I will be visiting again.

⚠️ Do Not Stay at Hard Rock Punta Cana – Unsafe and Unhygienic Our “luxury” family vacation turned into a complete disaster. My son developed a severe allergic rash from the chlorine-filled pools, and my baby daughter had an asthma attack caused by the mold and humidity in the room. The rooms were dirty, moldy, and smelled terrible. Instead of cleaning, staff used machines that released strong chemicals to mask the odor. We were moved several times, but every room was the same. Even worse — a housekeeping manager entered our room and took photos of my baby without my consent. When I complained, they offered a massage and asked me to sign a confidentiality agreement instead of addressing the problem. The hotel is falling apart — broken elevators, leaking ceilings, and unsafe conditions everywhere. The “concierge” tried to sell me a vacation package without any written contract. This is not a 5-star resort, it’s a health and safety hazard. If you care about your family, stay far away from Hard Rock Punta Cana.

A parte física está ok, porém precisa de atualizações. A limpeza deixou a desejar. Sabemos que o tamanho do local torna o processo mais difícil, mas isso não justifica roupa de cama furada ou manchada e toalhas muito gastas. A cama é confortável, mas os travesseiros são fracos e o chuveiro tem pouca pressão. A alimentação poderia ser melhor para um all inclusive com tantos hóspedes. Entendemos o desafio de manter um padrão alto, mas pelo preço e pela forma como o hotel se apresenta, a qualidade deveria ser superior. O atendimento no geral é bom. Nos restaurantes faltou atenção dos funcionários, às vezes sem talheres disponíveis e sem alguém passando na mesa para registrar pedidos de bebidas. Em um dos dias houve problemas nos petiscos da área da piscina. Apenas um quiosque estava aberto, já que o outro, mais próximo, foi fechado junto com a piscina para um evento privado. As opções ficaram bem limitadas. No geral, a estadia ficou abaixo das nossas expectativas. Nada crítico ou que tenha comprometido a viagem, mas tudo ficou na média. Falta mais cuidado com a estrutura, com as comodidades e com a qualidade da comida.

Not clean areas, food without options, staff not gentle

A experiência foi péssima. A excessão de alguns colaboradores (recepção e área da praia) todo o demais foi um fiasco! Já havíamos ficado no hard rock antes inclusive em outros países mas o nível do hotel caiu muito! Simplesmente tudo no hotel eh pago a parte, todas as atividades tem um cobro extra, até restaurante pago a parte eles tem! O serviço de quarto não funciona, não haviam nem toalhas suficientes para a família no quarto, várias instalações estavam sujas com lixo jogado pela propriedade, várias coisas quebradas ou não funcionando… pedimos room service 2x em nenhuma delas o pedido chegou! Não se iluda com o all inclusive pois chegando lá vai ter que pagar tudo à parte ou enfrentar filas e longas demoras pra qualquer coisa. Estávamos comemorando um aniversário que avisamos e encomendamos um bolo com antecedência, nunca chegou. Staff mal preparado instalações sujas e barulho. Isso é garantido.

O hotel é muito bonito, os quartos são espaçosos e confortáveis. O atendimento precisa aprimorar na rapidez dos pedidos, principalmente no café da manhã. No geral, fomos bem atendidos. Recomendo.

The room was nice but the power went out for about 40 mins no A/C phone or lights.

My sliding glass door was broken so I had poor ac the entire stay

The hotel is great and his staff is the best of the hotel !! But we have several issues this time which for me was strange ! 1- we were few ours without water at the room , coming form the beach 2the jacuzzis that are included can not humanly be used , the cold water does not work and the hot was too much to go in 3- the doors for the balcony are so heavy that we can’t open them freely, 4- tha safe to put my passports and stuff was awful to open because do not have any handle ,I had to use a knife to open it, and do not have instructions I had to call reception to ask. Besides that all good . Thanks

Os quartos são espaçosos. A única coisa é que o ar condicionado é muito barulhento mesmo. Poderiam colocar mais guarda sol nas piscinas, pq realmente quem não chega cedo fica sem. Os funcionários do próprio hotel no geral são bem simpáticos. Porém, tem um povo que fica tentando vender para você virar cliente legendário que são simpáticos com vc no começo depois que vc diz que não tem interesse, são grossos e te deixam na mão, são insistentes e ficam ligando a todo momento no quarto te persuadindo. Enquanto você não vai lá falar com eles, eles ficam perturbando.

The property was great. My only complaint was the ac in my room didn't work great. Sleeping in a warm room wasn't easy.

I like the property, great customer service, excellent beach and very clean. Air conditioning in the room very loud and kept us from sleeping comfortably.

Loved this hotel - beautiful room and property. Great food, nice staff, lots of stuff for kids. Only downside was our balcony wasn't covered so it was wet most mornings. But overall was great!

Overall the experience at the hard rock was great . The only thing I would have them change is to tone down the aggressive staff trying to sale things. We are there to relax not be trampled by sale reps from the legendary service club and deal with attitudes because you say no to buying vacation packages.

Everything was amazing! Special shoutout to Jesus from customer service that went above and beyond to make our anniversary awesome, even sent a bottle of wine and a cake!

The Service Staff were excellent and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It was easy to get around the resort and the Train was easy to access.

My stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana was, unfortunately, a big disappointment. If I had to rate it from 0 to 10, my honest score would be 3. What truly saves this hotel is its infrastructure. The property is massive, visually impressive, and well designed. The pools are large, varied, and enjoyable, and the kids’ club / play area is genuinely impressive — one of the best I have seen, clearly designed to attract families. From a physical standpoint, the hotel looks like a five-star resort. However, that is where the positives end. The food is simply bad. For a resort of this size and reputation, the culinary experience is unacceptable. Menus lack quality, flavor, and consistency. The chef, frankly, should be replaced. Meals felt repetitive, poorly executed, and far below international all-inclusive standards. Dining was something to endure, not enjoy. The service is even worse. Long lines everywhere, complete lack of organization, and staff who seem unprepared, unmotivated, and unhappy. This directly impacts the guest experience. Simple requests take too long, information is inconsistent, and there is no sense of hospitality or proactive service. In summary: • Infrastructure: 5 stars • Service: 2 stars • Food: 3 stars Hard Rock Punta Cana has the potential to be an excellent resort, but without major changes in management, service training, and food quality, it remains a beautiful structure delivering a very poor experience.

Poor check in / check out process You have families who come off long flights, at least try to make them feel welcome! We were supposed to be directed to the legendary check in process however this did not happen which is blessing. On the 1st full morning of our stay, we were invited for a briefing! This constitutes a sales person selling the hard rock hotels & wider group hotel package! This sales person joined my family and I for breakfast; my 6 year old was so confused why this occurred & referenced this as the worst part of the holiday. For the next 90 mins, 4 employees of the legendary scheme tried to sell us the package & then has the cheek to ask me why I didn’t want to sign up. Unbelievably poor experience! The facilities, the hotel, the Isla restaurant, the soft-play are brilliant! The buggy service was a god send too! You need to teach some members of your staff to provide a service, stop selling & listen.

We enjoyed the hotel and amenities. The only concern we had was the response of the concierge, room service, and front desk. We requested for the mini bar to be refilled on 4 ocassions and this was not done in a 3 day period. We were dissapointed as the only thing we had requested was bottled water. We ended up having to bring water from the near bar as numerous attempts received no results. This was a special occasion for my husband and I, so I requested a bottle of wine/champagne with a small cake to welcome us. This was requested 5 times, through phone prior to our arrival, in person once we arrived and 3 additional times through concierge. It appeared staff was not interested in filfulling our multiple request. At one point they said their system showed the request filled eventhough we were in the room and told them this was false. Finally, the evening prior to our early departure we received the small cake and bottle of champgne. Dissapointed of the oversight and lack of attention to us as guest. But the rest of the visit that did not required individual request was great.

First I have to say that the Dominican People are wonderful and full of joy. Punta Cana is beautiful. However Hard Rock Resort Punta Cana is not up to 5 stars. There is absolutely no training and leadership with the staff. The problem begins when I made a reservation for a Caribbean Sand room that is supposed to have a garden view...that not happened...our room was 8221 in the 8A building (witch is the farthest from the main lobby and all the conveniences) the view is to a service road and the wall of a neighbor lot - terrible. Since the first day there was no chairs available at the pool and beach at 8:00 am. The Ipanema restaurant at breakfast has long lines and no reposition of food. Since the resort is enormous, the transportation need to be by trolleys and there is not enough trolleys - sometimes we waited for 20 plus minutes to go to and from the room. Not enough golf carts available to rent. We tried to talk no manager in the first day, but front desk said there was no manager on duty...took our phone number and no return was given. In our fifth day my daughter was sun sick and i tried to cancel the balinese pool bed for the sixth day and the vacation planning staff said we needed to go thru a doctor appointment (paid) to get a certificate for the cancelation - a joke. When I tried to talk to manager (again) there was none available (again). On the sixth day we went on a tour at 7:00 am and returned at 6:30 pm and the room was not cleaned up. Hard Rock never again

Check-in: Nearly 2 hours — painfully slow. Getting around: Hotel transport is unreliable. Without a golf cart, expect long waits. Golf cart trap: Price looks high already, then surprise — extra pick-up fee plus a deposit at the counter.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. Some aspects that I would like to mention for future customers are: the hotel is big! They have trains to move clients around but multiple times the trains were full and we ended up walking, if you have troubles walking this could be an issue. During our stay the hotel was pretty full, only 2 restaurants have reservations, the rest are based on waiting lists with long lines. The food was good but not great ( the same with drinks). The AC in our room was not working, we called and was fixed but the room was never to the point that you can feel it super cold to the point that we woke up at night sweating, and the AC never stopped. We booked thru Expedia and we were told that a presentation about a vacation club was included in the reservation which was NOT our intention, we ended up in the presentation and they offered $150 in the Hard Rock shop, $500 certificate for a future reservation and a session in the SPA for hydrotherapy and full body message, we never got the $150 or $500 but we did the SPA and in my opinion was the best during our stay, staff in the SPA very professional and it’s a beautiful place. The beach had some seaweed but at the end of our stay it was cleaned and the beach was gorgeous! In summary…I’m not sure if it is worth the $ that you pay, I would consider other options in the future.

We had an amazing time at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. It’s a great place to go on vacation with your kids. There are tons of fun activities to keep them entertained while we relax and enjoy as well. We really enjoyed the shows during the night time, as well as the walking and all the activities throughout the resort. A special thank you to Laura for all her help during our visit, she truly made our experience memorable. Everyone we met from the restaurant staff, pool attendants, cleaning crew, transport team, and security was very friendly and made our stay even more pleasant. This resort is definitely worth visiting again. Highly recommended.

The property is very pretty and well kept. It’s very big so bring comfy sneakers/sandals to walk around in. The staff is so friendly! The food was okay. The food truck by the beach (in front of the central pool) is very good! The bartenders at the swim up bar in the pool next to the central pool were so nice, their names are Freddy and Roberto. Bernadel was also very friendly at the main pool, if you need anything he can make it happen. I will be returning! (The check-in process needs some work, I waited 2 hrs to be able to check-in. But to be fair, it was a Friday and I’m sure that played a part).

Beautiful resort with excellent service and facilities. The only downside is the long distances and heat when walking around, as the hotel is very large.

Es un hotel precioso, lo tiene todo. Lamentablemente la playa no se puede usar debido al Sargazo que se acumula en la orilla de la playa y que NO LIMPIAN. Estuvimos 6 noches y 1 vez vimos actividad de limpieza, al tercer día sin limpiar ya apestaba y habían montañas de Sargazo en toda la orilla que hizo imposible poder usarla. Aparte, el servicio del personal es bastante deficiente, pareciera que no les gusta su trabajo, nadie te recibe con una sonrisa (a excepción de los vendedores que intentan venderte tiempo compartido). Es una lástima tener tan buenas instalaciones pero tan mal servicio al cliente.

The property is too big.

Property was very nice and our room was very clean and spacious. We felt extremely safe our entire stay and had good experiences with all the restaurants and amenities. There are so many pools you have lots of options. We did not get to enjoy the beach as much as we wished we could because it was a red flag and the seaweed was really bad, but it was gorgeous. Would recommend the property

The resort is massive, but thankfully the trolleys run regularly, making it easier to get around. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the spa experience was a definite highlight—calm, clean, and professional. That said, there were several disappointments that took away from the overall experience: • Tour booking confusion: If you book an excursion through the concierge, be prepared for confusion. On the day of our tour, our guide wasn’t allowed onto the property, and we had to take a taxi to the front gate just to meet them. For a resort of this size and reputation, this felt disorganized and unnecessary. • Restaurant reservations: On-site restaurants require reservations at least two weeks in advance, but no one tells you that at check-in. Without early planning, your dining options are limited. • Food quality: The food overall was just okay—not what I expected from a Hard Rock-branded resort. • Beach conditions: The beach was covered in seaweed, and they don’t clean it daily, which makes swimming and lounging much less enjoyable. • Ongoing construction: A lot of areas were under construction, which was disruptive and not communicated beforehand. • Water park issues: The water park staff opened late more than once, and the lazy river had only about five usable floats—nowhere near enough for the number of guests. The mixology bartenders were the best part of our stay—creative drinks and a fun vibe. Bottom line: You can do better

Great service, golf carts to drive you around were helpful. Love the pool entertainment for both adults and kids & our kids loved the kids club. Toro & Zen were a great experience & food super!

Overall, a great experience - friendly staff, great food, especially at the market, got room upgrade. One note is that the hotel needs full renovation - it is a bit outdated for a five star.

The resort is beautiful! Our room was well decorated and spacious. I loved soaking in oyr own balcony hot tub. However, the resort is too big for its own good. Restaurants were limited as some were closed for this or that. Waiting in long lines to eat dinner or breakfast was super annoying. Food while edible was not good. Fiur out of five nights we had to call for our restocking of mini fridge and it took hours. Room service for coffee as there was only expresso machine in room took more than an hour but promised twenty minutes or less. Overall dining or anything associated with it major downside to this vacation. Nobody wants to beg or call several times for coffee or soda refills. Nobody on vacation wants to spend time in long line to eat, then see empty buffet pans . Punta Cana has some of the best beaches but dont expect good food or dining. I would not stay at Hard Rock Punta Cana again. I would visit Punta again for half the price with same beach diwn the street.

To start off I didn’t like the food in my he buffets. This is the only hotel you have to pay for your own drinks in the casino and in the disco. I believe they charge a lot off money to have this separate and the night life at the resort is very limited and boring. I definitely had higher expectations. Don’t recommend it for the amount of money you spend.

Rude staff. Hard to accommodate gluten diet (they literally served frozen bread). It’s not all inclusive - you have to pay for bowling and many other activities. Had to change rooms day one because of a leak. We had two rooms as a family and they put us 3 buildings apart. A good chunk of the beach and bars is reserved for club partners. Food disappears from restaurants and stalls, for example, Ipanema, one of the steakhouses, was not serving steaks. Terrible, terrible experience.
