The staff was amazing. The spa is very nice. Massage was great. Stay away from facials and treatments very expensive and not good. Overall great experience

Been to Punta Cana many times. This resort is nice for younger families. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. We had no issues . The resort grounds and pools/lazy river are all very nice. Lots to do. We booked this resort specifically for the Flowrider which was not working the whole time we stayed. Very disappointing. The beach is beautiful but chairs/palapas are very close together...too close. Way too tight compared to other places we have stayed in Punta Cana. Get there early (7:30 am) if you want chairs at the beach or pools. The food is average. Not bad not great. Nothing new for Punta Cana all inclusive resorts. They definitely need more servers in the restaurants to wait on guests. Too many times we waited and waited for water/refills or drink orders. The bars and bartenders were always good. The staff was always friendly and helpful no matter where we were. The casino is a nice option to have. The shows at night were entertaining. I can only recommend this resort to families. It really is geared for families. Lots of children when we stayed. Not really ideal for couples who want to relax on the beach or by the pool. Or have dinner without kids crying. This is not any fault of the resort. Just an FYI. We booked this trip and others in the past thru Expedia. Check in and check out was easy. We had help from Adoni from Expedia. He also made all our restaurant reservations. He was a big help during our stay. Overall a good experience.

The property was well maintained. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre and was cold most of the time in the buffets. The AC was not working properly in the dining rooms and made for an unpleasant experience.

The bar tenders, house keepers, cafeteria staff and entertainers were really a boost to an amazing trip! The food was good with many options. The pool foam party was definitely a highlight for me!

Great Resort Great Staff all around great for families would recommend the Diamond Club it does up the experience helps for an easy check in process and with the help of a butler for anything you would need along the way from setting up dinner reservations at the main restaurants to room service really anything is just message away. You do have your own area with pool beach access swim up bar and sit down area for lunch with the diamond club status. There’s 2 other main pools and hot tubs and a couple of kids pools that aren’t deep along with the lazy river that has a swim up bar plenty of chairs everywhere with umbrellas or over head shaded areas plenty of towels also. The resort is fairly spread out so alittle walking is necessary to get to a couple of the main restaurants and the main buffet Thats at the front of the resort but if you happen to have a room in a building towards the back they do have one restaurant in the middle and one at the back along with the ocean view restaurant. But during the day they have a food truck set up by the main pools and a sit down area with a small buffet right beside the lazy river. A Coffee shop/ ice cream is at the front of the resort so after dinner you can grab a dessert and coffee before the shows start different every night with nice sit down chairs all around. If you have kids and teens they have areas for them with plenty of activities during the day with plenty of activities for everyone thru out the rest of the resort.

The vibe of the hotel was excellent. I had a great time and was never bored. From live performances, to the casino, or just chilling out on the beach it was a time to be had. The staff were very helpful and also made sure my room was always clean or attended to any of my requests. The food was also great. I always had seconds. Would definitely recommend

We stayed in a Diamond Club room and we highly recommend it. You have a seperate pool which is doesn't get as busy, upgraded alcohol, free access to the flow rider (surf simulator), sperate breakfast restaurant, free access to the waterpark at the Royalton Splash, and much more including bulter services. Our bulter Manuel was phenomenal. He booked all of our a la carte restaurant reservations, and checked in with us regularly to ensure everything was good. The lazy river is awesome and probably wouldn't book anywhere that didn’t have one in the future! The food in the restaurants is great and there's enough variety that nobody will go hungry- even picky eaters. The building where the rooms are located are looking a little rough in areas but nothing too dramatic. Mostly just some wear and tear. The ocean front is very nice and late October is a nice time to visit as the resort was only half full. There were no line ups for anything. It is the very end off hurricane season for them so there is a higher chance off rain but we feel the trade off is worth it. We also took advantage of the fact you can pay $60/us to pick the exact location of your room ahead of time and felt it was worth it. We stayed in room 18331 which was closer to the beach and had a amazing view of the ocean. We would definitely stay at this resort again.

Royalton Bavaro is an Amazing place to stay about everything specially the lazy river I give 20 star of 10, the employee very nice and attentive specially Wendy at the Martini Mix Bar at night time, in the dining options I give 7 star from 10 cause to do reservations is really hard. Thanks for everything I’m coming back soon.

Room could of been a little cleaner.. there’s an odor I’m not sure if it’s a pipe line or sewage.. the hotel staff are very jittery and on top of the guest and always expecting tips.

Our room seemed as it had water damage before us. The room smelled like a damp basement. The metal stand legs had rust on them, bold behind the tv table. The mini fridge floor was rotted in the back with what i assum water. Our phones worked part time. Our room didnt seem like it was cleaned beacuse there were toilts from the people before left outside the sliding door. Inside the pool we had tiles that were missing and our 2 year old son cut himself on several times.

From day one our room smelled like mold and mildew. We complained and moved 2 days in and the next room smelled like something dead after a day of being in it. So we called and complained and they told us it’s not in the room, the room clean but there may be something dead in the vent. Some of the waiters are not so friendly, very rude and may just dislike African Americans. But there were a lot of nice ones. Big shout out to Luis, Everett and yennifer

One of the worst resorts I ever stayed at. Rooms were nasty, staff was rude and cockroaches in buffet…I would never return to Royalton Bavaro even if it was free!

The resort staff were amazing but not many people speak English so it was difficult to communicate with them. We had water leaks in a light fixture in our room. They attempted to fix it twice but they were unsuccessful so the moved us to a different room after 2 days. The new room was better but there was is an overwhelming smell of mildew in the new room and old room. On our 5th day the water went out on the entire resort and we were unable to use the bathrooms or shower. It eventually started working at 7pm that evening. The staff really tried to accommodate us with all the issues we were having, but I could hear other guests making similar complaints at guest services. So I don’t think our issues were isolated. It seems like the property needs some revamping and renovations. But my kids enjoyed the pools and going to the beach. They have several bars and restaurants throughout the resort which were good.

We booked a week at this resort in July. I’m writing this review now because I was giving Royalton and Expedia the opportunity to do what’s right, but that hasn’t happened. We booked 3 rooms (3 families) a total of 10 people. The walk to our room smelled of rotten trash, the elevator was just as bad but add some mold to the mix. The rooms didn’t have AC or a lock on the door. The walls, floors, furniture, I mean EVERYTHING had black mold on it. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Bath and sheets were never cleaned. I mean it was a nightmare. The buffet? Bugs all over the food, no one offered us anything other than water. The kids didn’t eat. So the next day we went to the lobby to complain. After hours of them not being able to do anything, we decided we wanted to check out and go to another resort. The resort and manager Olivo or Octavio assured us they would approve the refund with Expedia and apologized for the experience. It’s October… still no refund. They keep lying to Expedia and Expedia is refusing to refund us for the other days we didn’t stay there. We know the policy but the resort assured us that because of our experience they would refund us and now we are out double the money and Expedia wants to wipe their hands clean. How about hold the resort accountable! I do not recommend this resort. Go next door to Majestic (where we ended up) it’s great with no issues at all.

This property is from 2018 and needs a lot of maintenance, buffet seat are slashed , shower in my room with mold stain , saw a bartender in a barbecue area take dirty cups just rinse with water and use again with other customers, the staff in all areas are terrible customer service , When I check in they assign me a concierge He call me at the room phone number and have his phone number to text any thing I need , so I text that I need a reservation to the steak house he answered that he is gonna make it and let me know , well 5 days later I was leaving the hotel and never contact me again , that day sent me a text saying if i can rate the hotel with 5 stars to do his job not worthless , his name is Steve So if you don’t wanna waste your money don go to this hotel !!!

Roaches in our room staff never changed bed sheets. They have 5 restaurant for name sake. Emphasis on app booking which does not work or shows already booked. Not going back again

Rooms were of a very high standard. Everywhere on the property was spotlessly clean. Staff went above and beyond to help with any issues and was always done rapidly

Our room was in very poor condition. It was the Presidential 2 bedroom suite and was expensive. We were expecting something so much better (doors that closed, toilets that flushed, ceilings that did not leak, etc.).

Our room had a very musty smell but everything else was phenomenal.

Room: Several issues in the room: Two bed requested, and one queen bed was given. When claimed, FD Clerk said, wait until tomorrow. safe box not work, empty mini bar, staff somewhat friendly. Marriott bonvoy: I understand I book through Expedia but I provided my Gold status bonvoy number and send notes about it and anniversary weekend directly to the hotel web page and no answer or gold member bonvoy recognition. Diamond Rep. too pushy to get us in a Diamond orientation using the hook, I was bonvoy. F&B and Service: As well I understand is All Inclusive but F&B service to far from an autograph collection. I had experience other All Inclusive (Barceló Bávaro Resort) and F&B, service and facilities way better. Breakfast buffet area: it was pretty good but food was a 6. Entertainment: Shows were OK and the highlight was Adele impersonalization show: very good! Recognition: I want to mention Martha in the coffee shop it was outstanding and very service oriented! Pool and beach facilities and service: great facilities, great service, great activities for the family. Down: lunch area was too small to hold a full capacity hotel in the ocean side dining, service below to awful due to they can not keep up with the amount of people. Green Areas: very well maintained and lushly. Gym: great facilities and updated machines. Lobby area: very busy and impressed with maintaining facilities and constant cleanings and ladies offering service. Casino: no A/C and too small.

There are a lot of things I want to say about the resort. The primary one is wow. Like any all inclusive the food can get a little meh. But there were a lot of options for anyone to chose from. The hotel was clean you can see people working hard to get it there everyday. We had a swim up room. Although fun it may not have been needed because we had incredible pools and the ocean right there. That pool needs a little more cleaning but it was pretty nice. The room is spacious, the shower needs to be cleaned well like any tropical place you gotta scrub the tile. But it also had wonderful hot and cold water that lasted as long as you needed. The infinity pool was fabulous. The shows were awesome and the vibe team was a hoot. My favorite part of all of the resort was the people that worked there. They were so kind and loving. Things to do differently if I go back? More excursions, bring a lot more money. It’s all inclusive but they charge for laundry services (a lot of money), everything is resort prices so if you want that redbull? Prepare to pay a lot! Tips you need a lot for that. Excursions are pricey but worth it. Yep all the tourist stuff you are paying a lot for it. But if you stay on resort, swim in th ocean or bring your kids they are definitely welcome there. The life is just slower so rest and recoup, go to Bavaro it was wow because of the people, the shows, ocean, pools and drinks.

Our Expedia concierge Adoni was excellent! He really catered to our needs even before we arrived. All the staff were super attentive, polite and friendly. One suggestion- offer an all adult party at night with no teenagers.

We had a wonderful time. The staff and everyone who works at Royalton treated me and my husband beautifully. Everything was paradise except that when we got there the. checking process was more than a hour. Then we got tricked into a timeshare presentation we didn’t want or need. Wasted precious time on our first official day at the resort. I had to stop the presentation full stop because it was taking away from my experience. But once we got out of the presentation my husband and J enjoyed everything about the resort. We recommend 10/10.

All the room staff were incredible. Room was spotless every morning. Adoni reached out to us via WhatsApp pre trip to get some stuff organized. He was absolutely incredible. Helped set up a birthday surprise for my wife the day we arrived and booked multiple dinner resos including a large wedding party. Adoni was the trip mvp and we would actively seek out his help again should we visit. Thank you again Adoni and Royalton!

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ — Beautiful Resort but Some Disappointing Issues Royalton Bavaro Punta Cana is a beautiful resort with plenty of activities, and most of the staff were very friendly. Our host Angelo was the highlight of our trip — he went above and beyond and truly made us feel taken care of. However, a few things brought the experience down: • Food was underwhelming for a resort of this level. • Too many vendors on the property and beach. Some looked like actual hotel staff but were selling fake cigars or overpriced items. On the beach we were approached constantly, which made it hard to relax. • Checkout was frustrating. We followed the instructions to vacate our room by 12pm and wait for our luggage to be picked up, but staff forgot. Then we were nearly charged for “late checkout” even though we were out on time. Thankfully Donald eventually resolved it, but it left a bad impression. Angelo’s kindness and professionalism were the saving grace and the reason this is 3 stars instead of 2. The resort is gorgeous, but the food, vendors, and checkout experience definitely need improvement

Hotel was nice, food was good, staff was not friendly. Had a handful of friendly workers, not just our experience, was talked about by other guests as well. Very pushy to get you to sign up to for timeshare sales pitch. Restaurants reservations were very limited when booking, yet each restaurant was 25-30% full. Room service was not available unless you booked the day before. 24 hour room service was not available most time frames, due to reservations times all being booked just liked he dinners.

I really loved the Royalton at one point. It’s a good place for families and friend groups. However in just a year’s time things have changed tremendously and I will be putting this resort on the bottom of the list. First change was the lazy river had no rafts to use it was all for purchase or rentals but I never even got a chance to hang out in the lazy river because of that. The new staff was not as friendly as the ones before. I have been to this resort 5 times and even the workers said a lot of changes were made. I will only visit to see the family I have bonded with and that has been working there for years. So many other changes were made like the check in process longggggggggg and the rooms are never ready on time.

The hotel was beautiful overall. Adoni and the staff made this experience much better, handling issues that occurred very quickly and by taking care of all of our requests. We would recommend this hotel to anyone mainly for the staff and concierge service. There were other issues that weren’t ideal but they were handled so well by the staff.

Recommend Diamond Club. Pedro was GREAT!

Our group of 3 had an amazing time at the Royalton Bavaro. While the check in was a bit slow Damien came to the rescue and got us in to a room at our regular check in time. Adoni, our FANTASTIC, concierge hooked us up every step of the way. He made a big difference in our stay and we are grateful to have had him in our corner to make the trip seemless. Many thanks to him. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Franklin at the beach bar...essential! Juan at Zen....your energy made our night. Robert at Grazie...Beetlejuice misses you already. Juan Carlo at Martini.. Halloween was awesome. Thanks for the festivities. Beyond your wonderful staff, the resort is beautiful and clean. The room towel situation could get a bit dicey but the app allowed us to get what we needed in a timely manner. We look forward to future stays at Royalton Bavaro.

The beach at this resort is absolutely stunning — clean, soft sand and crystal-clear water make it a true paradise. It’s easily the highlight of our stay and worth every bit of praise. That said, the service could use improvement. From what we observed, the resort would benefit from better organization, especially at check-in, which was chaotic and frustrating. We weren’t the only ones experiencing delays, so it seems to be a broader issue. Dining was a mixed bag. The buffet was underwhelming compared to other resorts we’ve visited, but the à la carte restaurants were a pleasant surprise — definitely make reservations ahead of time to enjoy those. One delightful bonus: our toddler had a blast in the lazy river, which added a fun and relaxing touch to our family vacation.

It was quiet family resort. The air-conditioner was working very well in our room. The rooms could use a little bit of remodeling. We couldn't make a reservation to any restaurants because it was all busy, but we went to the buffet, one night they had lobsters. I really liked a grouper they had every day at the buffet. The entertainment was good, we saw Beyonce tribute and Adele. It was great. The beach is great, servers at the beach worked pretty good. The only thing is the resort is pretty big so prepare to walk alot. The one thing i didn't like that we called for the bell boy to pick up our luggage upon leaving and were waiting for 30 minutes but he didn't show up and we called again, still didn't show up, so we had to take our luggage and carry it to the lobby, it was a long walk. Otherwise it was nice resort.

I loved everything about our stay except the beach was full of seaweed. Which was out of the resorts control. We had the Diamond Club upgrade and its well worth it!

For Early checkout, no coffee or juice offered. No muffins or snacks. Food was always lukewarm and bland flavour. Too far to walk for my elderly mother to the beach and the buffet. Bar service was slow and staff not overly friendly

Very nice hotel, loved the entertainment! The only thing I can say it’s they need more golf carts to move around guests through the hotel, because some of the rooms are very far from the main lobby and restaurants and every time we had to wait a long time… other than that very nice time me and my family had!!!

Want to say a big thank you to Adnoi at guest services. We would not have had a good holiday without his help. He changed rooms for better views, booked the golf course and made sure we were happy throughout the stay by keeping in contact with us.

Limpeza não foi excelente. funcionários muito atenciosos. café da manhã perfeito com várias opções. Piscinas muito bonitas e porém água bem gelada. Serviço All inclusive de Bebidas fraco, Drinks de baixa qualidade e apenas 1 tipo de cerveja ainda esta servida em temperatura ambiente, opções de bebidas melhores tinha de ser pago a parte, inclusive ficas para jogas de sinuca também nao estavam inclusos.

The food! Most all inclusive resorts food doesn’t be good; however, food was amazing and so were the drinks. The swim up pool was my favorite.

The property is beautiful and very spacious, however, the food absolutely sucks (coming from a Dominican who lives in Miami). The food was very bland and they only served American food? There was not one restaurant that was serving authentic Dominican food, not even at the buffet. Furthermore, every single restaurant requires a reservation and if you miss it…good luck eating at all. The only option you’ll have is room service, which takes forever and is basically cardboard. The service was great and hospitality was there, but who wants to pay for an all-inclusive when the food is atrocious.

The resort is pretty big. Can get the staff to drive you to your room and lobby area. Sometimes a long wait. The food was about a 6.5/10. The steakhouse sland Brazilian restaraunts were the best. Breakfast buffet was also good. Plenty bars around. Really enjoyed the lazy River. My room was upgraded to a swim out in the Diamond club which was nice. Night life is lively with events every night. The DJ can include more diverse music. It was alot of carribean beats every night. Staff is friendly. Men can be little flirtatious at times. Spa and gym are nice
