Pierrot was the friendly face greeting us to the hotel and providing us all the information we required. It was easy to park at the side or front of hotel and we had time to unload and check in, the underground parking was 1 minute away. Our room was beautifully decorated and the king bed was comfortable. Order the picnic breakfast to enjoy fresh pastries and homemade jam! A nice touch was the common room with fresh fruit, the best coffee, games, cozy furniture and fireplace. Perfect location for this walkable city. We will return!

The staff was very welcoming and the room was very modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the downstairs sitting room with tables and coffee and fruit available all day. For breakfast we went out and brought back croissants from a bakery across the street and enjoyed our coffee there. There is also a nice restaurant attached to the hotel where we enjoyed drinks and appetizers. We didn't have dinner there but it looked delicious. Parking was also convenient since there is a large paid parking garage right across the street. Our stay was a very easy and enjoyable experience.

Excellent location. Staff could not be more helpful and gracious. Being an English speaker wasn’t a problem. Our room was fabulous and the bed a great sleep! They even have a common area downstairs with refreshments and Board games. We will always stay here when we return to Quebec City!

The overall design was charming and very comfortable. A small hotel but everything is available in the way of a lounging area and mini gym. It is in the heart of old Quebec and therefore, perfectly located. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Very nice property in the middle of a bustling street lined with shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful and room was very spacious, clean with good amenities. Only thing that was lacking was the gym. Hotel was close to many of the popular sites in Old Quebec.

We ordered the picnic basket breakfast one morning and it was perfectly delivered and hung on our door. The croissants were fresh and delicious and the yogurt was yummy. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfy. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Spent some time regrouping in the lounge area. The coffee was perfect. I'd return again to this property.

Excellent hotel with excellent service. Located in the heart of vieux Quebec, with lots of restaurant options around. The parking is $17 a day and is a 2 min walk. Highly recommend.

Absolutely great location right in the heart of Old Town. Cleanest hotel I ever stayed in. Quiet, well insulated rooms. I did not hear any noise in the room and I was next to the elevator. Well thought out furnishing and decorations. Made our stay even better.

The staff and ambience were wonderful. The location is great. The only reason we don’t give it five stars is the wifi is slow and the TVs are not connected to the internet. The room was excellent but in the winter could use larger mats for wet boots.

Wonderful stay in a cozy well equipped king deluxe room with fireplace! Lots of outlets for devices and storage for clothes. Coffee maker, fridge and teas/coffee made our stay even more comfortable. Staff were great especially Pierrot. Very clean and maid service was consistent on a daily basis. Filtered bottled water also appreciated. Lounge area is a welcoming space with special coffees, games and a warm fireplace. The adjacent restaurant Hortus has tasty fare. Great location as well. Definitely recommended.

I seldom write reviews however this was one of the better hotels I have stayed at. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Quebec and close to everything. The rooms were very nice and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was as expected "a small queen". It was very clean and nice however the walls between the neighboring room are not very well insulated and you can clearly hear movement and activity which is something we didn't expect.

This is one of the best stays we’ve had anywhere! We’re on a family road trip and heard amazing things about Quebec City. I searched for the perfect hotel and came upon this one, and booked it for the location. I didn’t realize we’d get the best service of our life!! I’ll explain: We have a lifted vehicle, with huge tires and has stuff on the roof of it as well. I read online that they had height restrictions in their parking deck, but there was offsite parking we could use. After we checked in, I told the guy at the desk about our vehicle and he came out and measured it. He called another parking deck to check on their height and sent my husband over there to park. Alas, our vehicle was too tall despite the measuring and checking. My hubby called to tell me, and I went back to the front desk to ask what we should do. The same gentleman then went outside to look for a metered spot for us. I was standing out there with him when my husband pulled up, but there wasn’t enough room on the street. At this point, the employee said “can I get in your vehicle and we’ll go find a place together you can park?!” My husband welcomed the help, they drove around the corner and found a street parking spot with a meter, and the gentleman helped my husband get the app, navigate the language and payment, and we had a great spot while we were there! This is the kind of service you get with this hotel! Truly incredible! We’ll be back!

Our stay was enjoyable and we couldn't be happier. The hotel staff is amazing and very friendly. A special shoutout to Pierrot who welcomed us warmly Christmas night when we checked in. Breakfast was delivered to our room and served in a picnic basket. Delicious! The hotel is perfectly located in Old Town close to many of the sites and restaurant choices QC offers. We will return.

My wife and I first stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon in 2011, and we absolutely fell in love with it! This was our fourth visit to Old Quebec City now, and after having tried 2 other hotels in the area, we’ve decided Hotel Du Vieux Quebec will be the only one we stay at from now on. STAFF – Simply the best! Everyone we dealt with we’re professional, courteous, and helpful. A special shout out to Sophie at the front desk, who took amazing care of us this time around, providing recommendations and directions, and answering all of my silly questions. Her positive attitude and passion for the area were infectious and we miss her already. ROOM – I believe the rooms have been renovated since our last stay. And what a great job they did! The room was large, comfortable, quiet, and had all the comforts and amenities you would expect. The bathroom was especially nice, with a full-size tub and luxury faucet, and lots of storage shelves for all of the toiletries my wife and I brought with us. LOCATION – So many reviews have already been written about this area, so I won’t get into it. But rest assured this hotel is located on the upper part of the old city, right in the middle of so many amazing restaurants and shops. The Hotel Du Vieux Quebec was perfectly located for touring Old Quebec. The staff was the best and it was very nice having a quality restaurant at the bottom of the hotel for dinner. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and room was large enough for 3 people. If I went back to Old Quebec, I would certainly stay at the Hotel Du Vieux Quebec again.

Beautifully located in walking distance of practically everything. Parked across the street in the Hotel de ville and never touched the car again. All the front desk people were wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed.

Helpful staff, nice lounge with a great coffee machine. The breakfast picnic basket is the perfect start to the day. Bistro Hotus served an excellent dinner.

We have stayed at this hotel before and we like it. It is in the heart of Old Quebec City and you can walk to anywhere you want to go. Only one issue would be you have to park about 5 to 10 minute walk up the road.

This property was ideally located. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff is absolutely phenomenal and the social room was a fun place to play games and do puzzles etc. Overall it was very charming and I would definitely stay there again. Ps- I would also recommend the breakfast basket option for at least one morning, it was a nice touch.

It's a very pretty property, halfway between the upper and lower town. Price used to include breakfast. Sorry that's gone. Staff very nice, especially Pierrot at front desk. Not many options for good dining nearby. Either a short hike up or the incline down for better options. But would recommend this hotel.

We ordered the picnic basket breakfast one morning and it was perfectly delivered and hung on our door. The croissants were fresh and delicious and the yogurt was yummy. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfy. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Spent some time regrouping in the lounge area. The coffee was perfect. I'd return again to this property.

We had a very nice stay - the hotel is in a great location. Only one complaint - the welcoming staff was very friendly and advised us that we would receive a breakfast basket at 7:00am the next morning. We thought that was a very nice touch and were looking forward to it. To my surprise, there was nothing there when I woke up and checked at 7:45. I went to the front desk to ask why we had not received the basket and was told by a not-so-friendly gentleman that we did not order one and that, because we had booked with Expedia, it was not included in our booking. Too bad - would have been nothing but great had it not been for that customer service faux pas.

Our room had a nice balcony into the courtyard which might have been the only type room. Room was clean and cozy. Gym had free weights, 2 machines, and pull up station. Hotel thought of many little things such as umbrellas for rain.

Beautiful boutique hotel perfectly located in Quebec City. We were on a girl’s trip with a one night stay in Quebec. We were greeted by Camille and Rose who were both very welcoming and full of helpful information for our overnight stay. The room was equipped with a basket of sparkling water, chips, cookies, nuggets, and fresh oranges, all included. Room was spacious with comfortable beds. Coffee and tea were provided in the room, and in the lounge with puzzles and games for our use. I can’t recommend this place enough. We felt very pampered, and will return here again if we are in Quebec.
