Hotel Le Voyageur

The room was spacious. There was no elevator! Not enough parking.

Nice budget hotel, safe neighbourhood, public transit at the doorstep, Tim Hortons and a major grocery store within a short walking distance; easy access to the highway leading to Old City or Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre; overnight parking gets crowded; breakfast included, indoor pool on premises.

Have a nice swimming pool and nice place.

The hotel is older but seemed comfortable. The staff was friendly and the pool was nice but hard to find in the basement of the hotel.

Je pense que le réceptionniste doit changer de métier. Sinon hôtel correct. Piscine sympa. Chambre vaste. Parking pratique.

pas de fer à repasser dans la chambre. Aucune chaise extérieure pour profiter de la belle température. Supposéement un bar et une terrasse à l'extérieur. Bar ferme à 16h00 et ils entrent toutes les chaises de leur terrasse. Avons acheté 2 petits bancs de comping pour s'asseoir dehors. mégots de cigarettes par terre car aucun cendrier extérieur. Personne à l'accueil très gentille.

Property was well located. However they do notchave enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms they rent so parking is hard to find .. the tv didnt have a remote to tjrn on and off only the satalite had a remote that wouldnt double as a tv remote .. no night stand ligjts so you have to get put of bed to turn off the lights . It was a decent spot to lay your head down and then leave . Nothing more then that

Room was clean and comfortable but the lobby and hallway carpets was gross. No elevator to floor with rooms. Internet was not reliable

The room smelled bed

There was a toe nail on the floor near the bed when we arrived, the top sheet on our bed was stained. I asked for the sheet to be changed and nothing was done. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in forever. The pool was also dirty. There was all kinds of things on the bottom of the pool.

The picture in the website was showing a very clean area however it was very old building the stairs were super dirty Very smelly hallway. At first when I entered dicide to walk bak it was horrible The carpet in room was very dirty

FILTHY! I honestly do not know where to start. I am really grateful for this facility for not giving me the bed bugs! Mold in the bathroom, filthy carpet in the hallway, smoking area with butts bucket in front of the entrance. I saw drugs being sold outside in the parking lot. It is not a hotel. At best it is the worst motel you can imagine staying in. Funny there is an envelope for tips in the room for cleaning service. No noise isolation - you can hear someone using the toilet in the next room. Can't open curtain because there is someone else car parking in from of your window. Themostat is not synced with the air conditioner but brings all engine fumes into the room when working. Bulbs! The hotel can't even replace bulbs in the desk lamps! Furniture - last time I saw this type of furniture in garage sales, from 50s-60s at best. I did not dare to open any drawers. Front desk - indifferent, talking to two customers at the same time. They charge you for the whole stay upfront. They email you the checkout receipt a few hours after the check out (just in case there is a damage). $100 deposit required at the check-in. TV - 24 in like a monitor size with just a few channels. No channels in English. Mattress - also from the 50s. I woke up with a terrible backache. I felt the metal springs of the mattress all the time. No one, of course, asked about how my stay with them was. Unsanitary. Found somebody's hair on the wall of the bathtub walls. Stay away for good!!!

I had a great stay at Hôtel Le Voyageur de Québec! The room was spotless and bright with great natural light. I really appreciated the free parking, which made everything super convenient. The location is also perfect—close to everything but still quiet enough to relax. The breakfast was good, and having a pool was a great bonus. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Québec City. Highly recommended!

Staff and clean room

I would never recommend this property. The staff were rude and dismissive. The carpet was filthy. I was woken up twice by cockroaches crawling around first my feet, then head. I killed one and can show a photo. The staff person was complete unconcerned and dismissive. It was a terrible experience

Parking was easy. The room had crumbs all over the floor, bed had pieces of tobacco. Very outdated TV. Lamp on nightstand table was not working and it was dirty. The room had a smell.

J’ai séjourné une nuit à l’hôtel Le Voyageur le 27 septembre 2025. Côtés positifs: l’hôtel est facile d’accès et propose plusieurs espaces de stationnement gratuits. L’accueil est ouvert 24h/7, ce qui est pratique pour un check-in après un mariage au milieu de la nuit. Le personnel est très aimable et professionnel. Les chambres sont d’une bonne taille, avec air climatisé et mini frigo. Le déjeuner libre-service offre quelques options simples comme toasts, céréales, bagels, muffins, bananes et fèves au lard. Côtés négatifs: la chambre #246 et la zone d'accueil auraient grandement besoin d’amour. La déco était vieillotte et usée, la chambre très sombre avec seulement deux petites lampes et aucun plafonnier. Le bouton de l’échangeur d’air de la salle de bain était brisé, laissant une mauvaise odeur d’humidité. Impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre pour aérer, son mécanisme étant lui aussi brisé. Deux graffitis étaient en plus visibles près du lavabo. Les autres chambres entrevues semblaient en meilleur état, ce qui rend étonnant qu’on m’ait attribué celle-ci. Le tarif de 138$ tout inclus est très abordable comparé à d’autres établissements. Je ne m’attendais donc pas au luxe, mais vu les problèmes rencontrés, je ne reviendrai pas à cet hôtel.

C'étais bien pour le prix. Nous sommes rester 2 soirs avec nos enfants pour visiter la ville de Québec. Près de plusieurs commerces, parc, piscine intérieure pour se rafraîchir et petit déjeuner le matin gratuit. Mini réfrigérateur dans la chambre et porte française pour séparer la chambre très pratique.

We chose this hotel primarily because it's both budget-friendly and pet-friendly, and it delivered on both fronts. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient—just a short drive from Old Quebec. While the continental breakfast was very basic, it was a nice touch for a hotel in this price range. The only real downside was the poor internet connection, which made it necessary to rely on our own mobile data. You need to look for an open parking spot every time you leave and comeback. Overall, a solid option for travelers looking for value and pet accommodations.

It was fine for what we needed which was a place to sleep. Room was clean. A/C unit was noisy

Weak wifi. Breakfast was substandard. Continental is fine but improve choices and quality of food. The coffee was coloured water.

Paper thin walls. Barely slept because of noise coming from nearby room. Very dated room. Felt like I was back in the 70s.

Aweful service! Hotel and rooms is completely outdated. Bed linens dirty, bathroom sink and tub rusted at bottom. Mo parking left when we got there so we had to park 2 streets away. Will never go there again!

Staff at check in were rude and unhelpful. Room was cold , dated and smelled foisty . Basic and old. Breakfast minimal.

The staff at the check in on Aug 9 between 7 to 7:30 pm was rude. He is impatient. When we were filling the form, he rushed us and said "Just need your signature, I don\'t need your license plate information" and when my husband signed, he used his sarcastic voice said "well, that is not where you should sign". He only give us one room card and said there wasn\'t enough card for each customer. It was bad because you need the room card to access the breakfast room and the whole family had to go together since we only had one card. It is a bad experience. We have a few family travel together, he also ignored the questions when the other people asked him.

Great staff! Super friendly and helpful. The room was nice with super comfortable beds. And the hotel was situated for easy access to the heart of town. And... the furniture was worn, the people in the room next door could be heard clearly, there's only one way to get into the hotel (not fun if parking in the back), and the breakfast offerings were meager (though okay in a pinch). No temperature control in the rooms either. With that said I'd stay again with modified expectations.

They lost my reservation and gave my room to someone else Expedia help make this right and moved me to another hotel down the road but this hotel failed

The motel/hotel is right on the main road going in and out of Québec City which was a great plus so I didn't have to navigate too intensely as I hate driving in cities.

Great location and reasonable price

the location is far away from the old town you should have a car or take a taxi it's like 12 mins by car, but on the same time the price is really good comparing to the hotels at the old town. the breakfast is good

The internet would turn on and off through tour the day. It’s not near anything where you could go out and explore the city you will have to uber or take the bus to do all the tourist activities.

Clean room and close access to Vieux Québec. Area may not be safe to walk at night!

Personnel agréable. Chambre spacieuse. Petit déjeuner correct mais pouvant être amélioré. Piscine agréable. A proximité du bus qui vous emmène en 30’ au château FRONTENAC.

Pratique. Ligne bus direct pour centre ville. Petit déjeuner simple mais pratique. Stationnement facile autour de l hôtel.

I liked almost everything. The appliances worked well, except a lamp that was not working but worked when plugged into another outlet. The former wine bar had a door that would not stay open. Breakfast is included, but if you come to the restaurant later in the morning, your chances to grab a boiled egg or a yougurt are slim. It seems that eggs, yougurt and fruit are in very short supply, and only the very early birds are the lucky ones who manage to get them. Otherwise, it is one of our favorite places to stay in Quebec City and the place we stayed at during our first visit to Quebec many years ago, suggested then by an employee of the tourist information office. The location is good, and the price is usually competitive.

The smell of cigarettes in the hallway was overwhelming, there was no cheese or yogurt in the breakfast and you had to beg them to give you one! If you wanted a fried egg, you had to pay 10 dollars! It can be said that breakfast was only coffee and fruit juice with a little cornflakes!

Le personnel est très accueillant et gentil, chambre propre, belle piscine. Ma seule déception est le déjeuner continental qui offre tout sauf les saucisses, bacon, jambon et oeuf. Il faut payer un extra (comptant) par matin pour avoir accès a ces viandes la. Mais à pars ça tout était parfait!!

Great hotel for a one night stop. Quiet, comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood has lots of restaurants nearby. The continental breakfast was excellent! Lots of selection.
