O hotel é bem localizado, fica a cerca de 300 metros da praia de Ipanema, próximo a vários restaurantes e lojinhas. O quarto e o banheiro têm um bom tamanho, a cama é maravilhosa e o banheiro conta com uma ducha muito boa. O único ponto negativo foi o ar-condicionado do nosso quarto, que não funcionou bem. Sentimos bastante calor e avisamos na recepção; apesar do envio de um técnico, o problema não foi resolvido. A academia é pequena, porém possui bons equipamentos. O café da manhã é servido em um espaço reduzido, mas não tivemos problemas em esperar por mesa. Eles fazem omelete, porém achamos extremamente oleoso. A tapioca, por outro lado, é boa. O estacionamento custa R$ 42,00 por dia. Outro ponto positivo é que o hotel oferece cadeiras e guarda-sol para utilização na praia. O atendimento da recepção foi muito bom.

Hotel com uma ótima localização, apenas dois quarteirões da praia e menos de 1km do metrô. O prédio pode-se perceber que é antigo, mas foi renovado. Os pontos negativos: - Elevadores não são sincronizados, então você pode esperar fila e lotação nos horários de maior movimento. - Motor do ar condicionado fica dentro daquelas caixas antigas de ar condicionado antigo, por isso, da pra ouvir o barulho do motor quando você usa o ar. - Isolamento acústico das janelas é péssimo. A rua é muito barulhenta o dia todo, principalmente cedo pela manhã. De resto, a equipe é muito simpática e prestativa. Quartos de tamanho ok. Café da manhã básico, com um pouco de variações. O café é servido no restaurante ao lado do hotel (há um acesso pelo lado de dentro), da pra sentar na area externa. O hotel ainda oferece toalha, cadeira e guarda-sol de praia a vontade. O terraço é muito quente e vazio. Não fica ninguem, e o bar não fica aberto. A área externa estava sempre fechada, uma pena.

My recent stay at the Mar Ipanema Hotel was nothing short of a disaster. The lack of cleanliness was immediately evident, with mold visibly growing in the bathroom and windows that were covered in grime, making it nearly impossible to see outside. It's apparent that cleanliness is severely neglected here. The noise level was intolerable. There is ongoing construction on the 5th floor during the day, and the loud noise reverberates throughout the entire hotel. Finding any peace or quiet is out of the question with the incessant banging and drilling. Additionally, the hotel is situated in an unsafe area. I felt uneasy walking around the neighborhood, particularly after dark. In conclusion, I would never consider staying at the Mar Ipanema Hotel again. It was an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience. Do yourself a favor and choose a different place to stay.

A Localização do Hotel é o ponto alto, no miolo de Ipanema, perto do Leblon e dois quarterões da praia. Dois pontos um foi que o quarto estava cheio de areia quando cheguei, e o café da manhã está sendo servido em formato de buffet e fica bastante apertado dificultando a pegar as comidas e bebidas. Do restante o Hotel está passando por uma reforma mas os quartos são ótimos, silenciosos, tudo muito bom! Com certeza voltarei mais vezes.

I recently stayed at the Mar Ipanema Hotel and it was an absolute nightmare. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the hotel is appalling. There is mold growing in the bathroom, and the windows are so filthy you can barely see through them. It’s clear that housekeeping is not a priority here. The noise levels are unbearable. There is continuous construction on the 5th floor during the day, and the noise permeates through the entire hotel. It's impossible to get any rest or relaxation with the constant hammering and drilling. Moreover, the area around the hotel feels unsafe. I did not feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood, especially at night. Overall, I would never stay at the Mar Ipanema Hotel again. It was a deeply disappointing and unpleasant experience. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.

We stayed in a regular room, everything was good but the AC. Not sure if it was because it was hot outside but AC was at 17° C and it felt like 23 C. A central metal piece of the window was loose and it make some noise as the AC was an old model and it shakes while it was working. Real highlight here is that everything else was fantastic.

Minha segunda vez hospedada nesse hotel, foi tudo excelente. Fica na melhor localização possivel de Ipanema, vc pode ir caminhando a praia, a vários restaurantes excelentes nas proximidades, variasnlojas para compras e ainda curtir o bar do hotel super badalado a noite. O quarto está todo reformado, unica ressalva é o chuveiro, fica num espaço mt pequeno e numa posição não ergonômica. O cafe da manhã é bem completo e gostoso. Adorei novamente, certamente retornarei!

Fui colocado em um quarto que tinha porta/acesso conjugado a outro quarto. Eu praticamente ouvia tudo que o outro hóspede fazia. Fui acordado às 4am com o barulho do chuveiro do outro quarto (parecia dentro do meu). Precisam com urgência refazer essa estrutura conjugada para ter bloqueio acústico (duas portas, no mínimo). É algo básico e esperado. Não dá para pagar quase mil reais em uma diária e ouvir o colega do lado tossindo como se estivesse dentro do meu quarto.

The room was facing the main street and noise isolation was non-existent. In fact, there were visible physical holes between the window and the wall, which let all the noise from the street inside the room. Since this was a Friday night and there are night clubs next to the hotel, it felt like I was on the dance floor and not in my bed. Noise islolation between the connecting rooms was also non-existebt. The guy next door had a stomach bug and was very ill all night. I heard -everything-. Breakfast was ok/average. Staff were kind and helpful. Sadly, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Stayed two nights here after having spent two nights at a different hotel in Copacabana. The difference in both neighbourhood and accommodation were immediate. The staff were very welcoming and offered a welcome drink which I had on the rooftop before my room was ready. Great views from the roof and my room as well (could see Cristo Redentor). Had dinner and breakfast from the adjoining restaurant which were both very good.

Stay here for 3 NTS. The shower in the room was small space I had to stand sideways so take a shower. Breakfast was just ok and the dinning area when full was difficult to move around no space. Good location for Ipanema beach. Getting around always use Yellow taxi they don’t seem to rip you off.

Incredible location, barely 2 blocks from prime Ipanema beach, walkable to countless restaurants in Ipanema and Leblon and always get an Uber within a couple of minutes to go everywhere, hotel is a pickup spot for most of the tours.
