I was very disappointed with my room. The communal areas look fantastic but standard room was worse than basic. First room the sliding patio door had no lock so had to move as I do not feel safe as a solo female traveller. Both the rooms had a literal hole in the wall with make shift cupboard doors covering it meaning the room was very noisy. I complained on the “how was your check in” email and was told someone would speak to me that day to resolve. I left 4 days later without this happening. This was my 3rd hotel in Brazil and 2nd in Rio and was the worst and most expensive.

We got a upgrade to a sea view room that was amazing, with view over Copacabana. Really lovely and helpful staff. I minus for the ratio of sunbeds vs rooms. Hard to get one of the very few sunbeds with umbrellas. Great location

Great location and the staff are great. However, the single room I was in was just okay. The air ventilation system in the bathroom was extremely loud, and the breakfast was very plain.
