Plenty parking spaces and safe as they lock the main entrance during the night. Had little difficulty finding the hotel as Google map showed wrong access (by walk it suggested at the last minute). Staffs were very helpful and professional.

Nice clean room, great staff and parking on-site was a bonus. Good breakfasts and dinner. Absolutely love Salamanca. Would stay here again. Please note they do not have air conditioning turned on in the winter months but do offer a fan. Property is well situated in the old town and close walking distance to all major scenic sites.

Wow probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. So helpful and even made sure to charge our electric car overnight so we had plenty of charge for the onward journey. Super comfortable beds, lovely rooms. And the whole place smelt amazing! Wish we had booked more nights here, and will definitely come back to Salamanca

Friendly reception staff and cleaners but was appalled by the 55 euro charge for ad hoc breakfasts up from 22 euros in advance. As we are a coffee only couple re breakfast we had to order from reception and the service was slow. The hotel was beautiful and historic and conveniently located but the swimming pool was out of action and whilst the restaurant was fair it was not exceptional. We stayed for four nights and the hotel appeared to have a private party with music disturbing our sleep past midnight

Stayed at the hotel for two nights on the way to the UK from southern Spain. Lovely old building and very well maintained. The reception staff were very nice and helpful and gave us a map on arrival pointing out all the attractions. The hotel is very central and 7 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor. The hotel does have outside (no cover) car parking. Spaces are limited but this is managed well by the hotel staff to ensure space is maximised. The only negative is the pool area. There was a serious lack of sun loungers and a lot of them were damaged and in need of replacing. For a five star hotel this was very disappointing. The pool also needed some maintenance work.

The exterior and the entrance are spectacular. The gentlemen at the reception were also nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the room itself was a disappointment, especially the beds: both very squeaky, the mattresses old and laid through. You literally cannot turn to not wake up the other person, and you are most likely guaranteed to have a back pain in the morning. The bathroom is also outdated, with water damage everywhere, and completely rusted heater… Something I would never expect from a 5-star hotel.

I throughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. Even though it is a little on the expensive side I can say it is worth it. From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave the staff is taking care of you. From helping you with your bags, to parking your car, and making sure you have everything you need. They were very patient with me as I tried to practice my Spanish and took pity on me when I struggled and switched to English. But the hotel keeps its Spanish charm with modern amenities. I didn’t eat in the restaurant because I wanted to experience the city of Salamanca, which I absolutely adore. It was easy for me to do that as I was in the city center close to all the action and once I parked my car I was able to walk to everything. I would recommend that anyone stay here and take in its charm. The room I stayed in was very nice and well kept and a beautiful view of the garden and monastery. The bed was not your typical small European bed but a queen, I had nice furniture, table, nightstands, desk and a spacious bathroom with toilet, bidet, and a shower with kicking hot water. The bathroom also has a heater to keep you warm if needed. If I had a complaint it would be that the room gets a little warm if I didn’t open the windows which was fine for the winter since there were no bugs, but the birds were very loud at night. Lastly, the city of Salamanca is worth the 2hr drive from Madrid. It is one of the cleanest cities I’ve ever visited, safe & teaming with life.

Total luxury. A beautiful oasis in the middle of Salamanca. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was fantastic with high standards on all facilities. We found breakfast and dinner exceptional in taste and service. One of our best nights away and we travel a lot.

This is not a five star property, but the historical buildings are nice. Many things are missing, in the room the room door is terribly bad with a big gap towards the floor, the corridor outside is by tiles and one will hear every guest/staff passing. Worst is the hotels baggage carrier and the housekeeping dito. No shoe-horn, no toilet brush, no napkins, no free water except fist day, too few hangers in wardrobe and bathroom. The bed is really narrow, but the worst part it’s only maximum 190 cm - so feet’s are outside of the bed (five star?). Best thing was the breakfast and the staff there. Front desk partly uninterested. Much improvement to par with a four star property and significant refurbishment to get the rooms fairly comfortable.

Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend! Alles ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir haben hier zum dritten Mal übernachtet und noch niemals wirklich so ein Bett mit einer so extrem schlechten Matratze gehabt. Mit starker Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht.

Room too hot. Dogs not accommodated well. Separate dining table in cafeteria….if more than one client with dog then nowhere to eat except room unless it is Summer when you can eat outside. Dinner not acceptable. Room service menu only in cafeteria as we had a dog. Reluctantly let us choose from restaurant menu….but each item came separately because of the different menus. Wine waiter not knowledgable and brusque. Breakfast selection good but cooked poached egg dreadful. Reception staff excellent. Sadly we will not return or recommend. End of dining room could have screen to accommodate people with dogs.

Great base for a visit to Salamanca. Beds were very comfortable and our small dog was made welcome. Salamanca is a very beautiful cultural city and well worth a visit. My only criticism would be regarding the quality of the food in the hotel restaurant. As it was Good Friday the hotel restaurant was our only option . It may just be our individual taste but we did not enjoy the food in the restaurant for dinner or breakfast.

A stopover en route home from the Algarve. A very easy hotel to find with adequate parking. Staff are exceptional. Restaurant is superb and the breakfast offers freshly made hot meals. An excellent stopover in a beautiful city with easy access to shops and centre, both within 5 min walking distance even for 80 year olds.

A beautiful building in a great spot in the old town where we had a lovely room overlooking the cathedral. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful friendly and professional. We had a wonderful experience all round thoroughly enjoying the tasting menu for dinner which we felt was good value and of excellent quality. Room spacious and comfortable breakfast excellent tasty choices. Catered for gluten free. Would highly recommend this hotel

Stunning former convent in the very picturesque old town of Salamanca. Service and breakfast were excellent. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. My only complaint is that we were charged €31 for breakfast when the Hotels.com reservation said the breakfast was included. We had left the hotel before I realised this. That said, I would certainly recommend it and return.
