The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The overall hotel carpets and the rooms look very worn and can use an uplift. The beds were comfortable. The hot water and shower pressure were great. The breakfast consisted of a type of egg, tater tots, a variety of white bread/English muffins and pancakes. There were a few different cereals and muffins, yogurt and fruit. The hot tub wasn’t hot and there was a lot of foam in it when the jets were on, which is a sign of bacteria. The women’s locker room by the pool and fitness center was disgusting. The doors to the lockers didn’t work and were really rusty. Except for the esthetics of the hotel, I recommend going there.

Very disappointed. We have stayed at other Travelodge locations, we understand it is a budget option and balance our expectations accordingly. That being said, our room was not cleaned properly- used bar of soap left in the shower, used coffee cup left upside down (as if clean) next to coffee maker, which still contained used coffee pod from previous guest. No clean cups. One full size pillow and two throw pillows for 2 guests. We received a welcome text asking us to reply if we had any issues, which we did- no response.

Our first room was at the end of the hall on the main level next to the fire escape stairs room 274 i think. When i opened the door to the stairs i saw the entire staircase walls and ceiling covered in black mold. The stairs and windows were dripping wet. Crazy health hazard. We asked to be moved and the attendant at the front desk seemed very aware of the problem. The black mold spores have to be all through the hotel. The new room that we were moved to was dirty. There was hair on the shower surround and the tub drain was clogged. The kind of place where you check the mattress for bedbugs. Clean plates in the cupboard were dirty. We left with runny noses and feeling unwell after the night. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. This place feels like it is being used as a long term boarding house or something. Stay anywhere else.

The floors/carpet were filthy, we didn't dare walk bare foot, we had to keep our shoes on, the beds were very old and very "soft". We had to park in the back and walk to the front, in doing so, we discovered a side door that doesn't close properly, so just anyone would be able to enter at anytime, we did, the door had been bent a bit. My husband has breathing issues, so having to park at the back and walk all the way around was pure torture for him. I will say, the staff was nice in front and the breakfast was standard/normal and it was good. This place needs to be remodelled and looked after, whom ever is in charge now is not doing their job. I used to work at a Travelodge many years ago in Saskatoon, and the rooms never looked like these, the bedding didn't even fit properly. We really wasted our money on this room, but we were tired and had been on the road all day, we even stayed out late so we didn't have to be in the room.

The building is in need of some work, the carpeted areas have many areas that are a tripping hazard to many. The bath room in our room had not been cleaned from the previous guest, it had used products still in the shower. We called for new towels because we used our towels when we went to the pool, and they did not delivery them, we went to retrieve them after waiting 3 hours. When we did get the towels they gave us the little pool towels.

No pens in the room. A very basic and cheap item but shows how cheap the owners are. Room smelled like febreeze. Bed was banana shaped. As in my head and feet were higher than my stomach by a long shot. Bathroom was very dated. The bath tub plug was black with mold. The Dove soap could barely make a lather. All in all I will likely never book a travel lodge again.

The beds were clean and comfortable and basically that’s all we needed at this time. The bath was mildewed and rusted, so we definitely did not want to shower there. Also the carpets were stained. I would not stay again.

The room was horribly outdated and there were stains all over the carpets. The staff member who helped us was great and he did offer us a renovated room , but we would have had to wait another hour for it to be cleaned, which didn’t work for us. We thought, really, how bad can it be ..? Well, it was bad. lol Staff was great though!!

Comfy beds, clean spacious rooms. Continental breakfast was great, lots of options and staff were sooo friendly and helpful! Pool was on the cooler side and the pool area was a bit run down but we had a great time in the water regardless. Will definitely stay again!

Heaters very noisy difficult to sleep, no hot water to have a shower in the morning. The main door open on the bottom to hallway light and noise could seen and heard. Windows streaked and dirty, old need to be replaced. No curtains on windows.

The room was very nice and newly renovated, bed was comfy. Since we couldn’t book a rental car it was quite a lot of walking to get to things. Sydney has no Uber service but Taxis are pretty available. Lots of food options and we really enjoyed ‘Governors’ and a ‘bite of Asia’. Wonderful meals. The pool area is run down and the hot tub was NOT working the 3 nights we were there which was very disappointing. Staff are very accommodating.

I was not happy with the last night I was there. Drunken party across the hall that went on most of the night. I will be contacting the manager about this when I get home. I got no sleep whatsoever and had a long drive to do the next day

Extremely long wait times at check-in. They only had 1 person working the counter at a time and not working efficiently. Room keys stopped working multiple times and I had to go back to the desk and wait in line again. Once hold a pizza for over 25 minutes, when I finally got to my room it was cold. Floors were stained and dirty. Bathroom was nothing like shown on the pictures. I travel for work and stay at many different hotels and I will NEVER stay at a travelodge again because of my experience here. 0/10. Horrible horrible horrible.

Poorly managed. Slow unresponsive staff. One young girl at the front desk, with a huge line of people waiting to check in. The breakfast buffet was spartan to be generous and almost all the food was nearly gone before 8:00. No rush to replenish so we left. Would not recommend. Carpets are dirty, cigarette butts all around the front entrance.

Was not able to check in due to third polices that weren’t identified initially when booking. Hotel Staff made the experience even worse talking down as if I was an idiot. Will never use your site again as the hotel used it an excuse to basically ignore me.

Staff is terrific. Property is worn and not particularly clean. Bed was comfortable and property was quiet overnight. With the great location (right on the water) it would be worth investing in some updating.

The hotel is ideally located. It is nice but showing its age and needs some upgrades on the lower floor. Our friends had a suite and that looked like it was upgraded. But if you are in Sydney for a short visit it is quite economical to stay here. The free breakfast was a good option and the staff are very friendly.

The hotel needs some improvements. There is a damp/ stale smell, carpets were stained and still had crumbs on them. Breakfast was delicious, hot and lots of variety. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

The photos of this property on Expedia are OLD. The room itself was OK (one of the drawers in the dresser would not stay closed) but outside the room the place is really showing its age. The carpets are stained, glass is dirty, walls scuffed. The pool area was pretty gross. There was grime all the way around the pool at the waterline, there was chunks of hair floating in the pool, broken tiles and things were rusty and pretty worn. The change room at the pool was nasty. The free breakfast: sausages were undercooked and there was no coffee of all things. The machine was broken. The staff were nice, however.

We were disappointed in the condition of the carpet around the hotel. Many places were dirty, stained, and the carpet was bulging in spots. The room was relatively clean and we enjoyed a restful sleep. Breakfast had a variety of options which we appreciated. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was okay. Just average. The hotel could do with a little renovating, especially the washroom. We did not have enough soap/shampoo in our room. Breakfast buffet options were good, plenty of gym equipment for those who need to get a workout in. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Best part of the stay is definitely all of the staff who worked there. Very friendly reception and were always available and really kind! Giving it 3 stars because the property was pretty old and their free breakfast wasn't the best. Their coffee machine didn't work the day we were there. Their gym equipments were rusty. Their staff and customer service are what really made our stay good!

Staff were amazing. Upgraded our room upon check in. Carpets in the hallways and rooms need to be replaced as they are dirty. Breakfast area well stocked, but very warm in the room. They had 2 fans, 1 was off and 1 was on. Very small for the size of the room. Needs air conditioning. No ice in the ice machine.

The place was an absolute disaster. It was open during renovations and it should not have been. A construction crew was grinding the floor right outside my room for hours on end. It was so bad that I had to leave.
