The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei

Wir hatten ein großes, sauberes Zimmer mit guten Kopfkissen und Sessel, kleiner Couch und Tisch. Der Pool war super, das Wasser jedoch etwas frisch. Es gibt 3 Frühstück Restaurants und eine gute Auswahl, so dass wir immer etwas leckeres gefunden hatten. Im Zimmer wurden täglich Wasserflaschen aufgefüllt. Die Lage war ebenfalls gut mit ca 7 Minuten zu zwei Bahnlinien und einer Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Man kann das Hotel in jedem Fall wärmstens empfehlen.

The hotel itself was pleasant, and the banquet dinner was well worth attending. Both the front desk and the restaurant staff were welcoming, and the happy-hour offering was particularly good. The pool was closed, seasonal, I presume. Unfortunately, my experience with the hotel’s lost-and-found process was disappointing. I checked out early in the morning and inadvertently left my headphones in my room. I realised this shortly after arriving at the airport and contacted the hotel immediately. I was advised that the matter would be followed up with housekeeping. Despite providing my contact details and home address at check-in and offering to cover the cost of shipping the item back to the UK, I have not received any follow-up communication. I am confident the headphones were left in the room I had just vacated, and the hotel was notified promptly, leaving little uncertainty about where the item would have been found. While I fully acknowledge that the responsibility ultimately rests with me, timely follow-up in situations like this is an important aspect of guest service. Regrettably, this experience has affected my overall impression, and I would be unlikely to stay at this hotel again.

Executive lounge is great and enjoyable

汽車停B2的話，沒有電梯，行李需要用扛的抗4到B1。自行開車又有大行李的，先在Lobby卸下行李再去停車吧。 其他方面都很好，無可挑剔。

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Appreciated the complimentary water and soda. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and its array of food choices. The gym/sauna facilities need to be updated.

Incredible space that is very well taken care of. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The pool is amazing, I’m giving this place a perfect 5 star rating because that pool is incredible and the restaurant right beside it is also superb. You can eat delicious gourmet food poolside in the middle of Taipei city. The staff is also very easy to get along with and they treat foreigners very well.

Huge hotel with several restaurants, pastry/bread shop, bar. Many perks like coupons for discounts, pool area, tea time. Three floors of in-house shopping. Food plentiful and varied. Had a large nicely decorated room with separate shower and tub.

Nice hotel, friendly service and spacious rooms. The pool lacks a bit and you can smell the food from the kitchen. Overall a good experience.

Family friendly, good sized rooms with sitting area, free bottled water, robes and slippers. There are several restaurants and shops in the building including a bakery and bento stand. Medium sized outdoor pool. Buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of options both Asian food and western, especially fresh fruits. Only downside is the property is somewhat old and the carpets were heavily stained. Location great with bus stop right in front of the hotel and 2 train stations less than 10 min walk away.

建物自体は少し古さがありますが、清潔面では問題無く快適に過ごせました！ホテル内がとても広く内観がとても素敵でした。朝ごはんのビュッフェも1.2日目と違う朝ごはん会場で3日目は好きな方を選べる仕様でどちらも種類は豊富でとても美味しかったです。駅近！というほどではないですが2路線の間にあり、交通の便はよかったです。日本語が伝わる方がいなかったですが、Google翻訳を使い何の問題もなく会話できました！旅行先ではあまり、同じホテルは泊まらないのですが、また泊まってもいいと思えるぐらいのホテルでした♪

Carpet was dirty

The hotel is clean but it outdated, don’t have enough outlet for charging devices. The suite carpet is stained almost everywhere in the sitting area. Too far from the metro station.

ホテルは古い感じでしたが、部屋は清潔でトイレットペーパーも流せて良かったです。大きなホテルで1階から4階あたりまでは、いろいろなショップやレストランもあり、とても便利でした。1階にある海鮮レストランはバイキングで種類も豊富でとても美味しかったです。台北に行ったらまた利用したいと思います。

The rooms are gross. Floors and curtains are stained, room is dusty.

The double bed room we had for three nights was dirty. There were many stain spots on the carpet. The phone and sink in the bathroom were both broken. The surface on our desk and our bed were both unclean and sticky. It was noisy for two nights from our neighbors and top of the floor. We paid almost $1,000 USD but had very bad experiences in staying this hotel which is supposted to be a 5-star experiences. Totally not worth it. We would never come back.

I would have add more stars but room carpet feels old and stained and dusty if we walk on barefoot. Would have been nice if its upgraded

The hotel is dated, but fine. What spoiled our stay is a bad drains smell from the bathroom which was really unpleasant t and a broken refrigerator. We reported the issues to reception and they said they’d get onto it but nothing was done. Wouldn’t recommend, there are better options for a similar price.

The hotel is located in an area close to many shops, restuarants and cafes.Staff was fantastic and spoke good English. Rooms were spacious and clean. The downside was rooms weren't sound proof. The hotel is renovated

only downside was lack of plugs fro electronics , like USB , near the bed for your phone , they should fix this problem .....that was my only issue .....otherwise , great Hotel ....

Stayed there a few times. Love the location and the service. The rooms are spacious, but slightly outdated. The VIP “beverage” voucher was pretty useless so don’t expect much on that, and sadly the bar close quite early, too.

The front staff didnt explain well. I even didnt know where the swimming pool is. When i asked, they kept saying every floor shows where the swimming pool is rather directly saying where it is. I felt really uncomfortable. They didnt explain all service in advance so i have to ask everything i need to know

Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Housekeeping reported right away the laptop I'd left in my room. They sent me an email, which I received in time to turn around, get back to the hotel, pick it up, and still make my flight. I was very grateful. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and pretty quiet. Slept great. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was they kept laundering our towels despite following the instructions to leave them on the rack if we did not need that.

Excellent service that is absolutely top notch. Maggie at the Rosewood Lounge made our stay impeccable and amazing. My father got sick while at the lounge in the hotel. Maggie arranged for him to be taken to the hospital. She even followed us there to translate and make sure my father was in good hands before leaving. She is like family and we owe everything to her. Fortunately, my father is fine. Thanks to the excellent treatment of the staff, and Maggie, we felt so well cared for and will 100% come back when we are in Taiwan. Our entire family loves Maggie and we wish we could take her back with us! Feels like I found my long lost sister! 🤗💕

清潔な客室。チェックイン、チェックアウト時のフロントの対応もとてもよかったです。特に、チェックアウトでは、早朝5時前のタクシー手配もすぐに対応してくれて、とても助かりました。

Our overall experience at the hotel fell short of our expectations. While the free EV charging and great location were appreciated, several aspects need improvement. Upon arrival, we were offered welcome drinks. Two of us were directed to a high table in a corner, where no other guests were seated. When the other two people visiting us, they stood beside the high table with no greeting and service were provided. However, as soon as we pulled over two chairs from the nearby bar counter to sit together, a waiter promptly came over and informed us that we could not sit there due to it being an aisle and presenting safety concerns. While we fully understood and respected the explanation, it was disappointing that no alternative seating or solution was offered. This interaction—especially in contrast to the complete lack of attention before—made us feel unwelcomed and somewhat disregarded during what was supposed to be a welcoming experience. We also booked a room advertised with a king-size bed but were given a queen-size. This discrepancy was frustrating and affected our comfort. Furthermore, during check-out, while we were still packing, a cleaning staff member entered our room without knocking and casually asked, “Whoops, can I clean now?” Thankfully, the timing wasn’t worse, but had we been changing or not appropriately dressed, the situation could have been extremely uncomfortable. This raised concerns about privacy and staff communication protocols.

The location was perfect to get to all the attractions of the city. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices to explore local and international foods.

Location is great, room is clean

Good location close a metro station and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The suite is spacious and two rooms can be seperated. The bed is very comfortable. The staff was helpful and the breakfast had good selections.

The location around the hotel was not very interesting, also it is a bit of a walk to the nearest train station.

Very central location to stay while traveling in Taipei. Easy to get to from the airport.

Room was spacious and clean, the hotel staff were also attentive and responded promptly whenever we have a request. We also had both the hotel's breakfast and dinner buffet - the spread for breakfast was good but we felt that the dinner buffet needs improvement as there isn't much variety to go with. Some of the live stations had pre-cooked food like lamb chops and scallops, which we found overcooked as they reheated them upon request. The live station for seafood was just poached seafood in plain water which we also find quite bland and tasteless. Other than that, the hotel has done a good job in the area of service and cleanliness, albeit the rooms could have been refurbished as they seem pretty dated and some of the wall.sockets were not working properly.

Poor service at Rainbow Terrace Restaurant, though food was good.

The furnitures are old. The lobby does not have chairs. By chairs i meant sofas, not the big hardwood chinese furnitures. The hotel needs modern updates and makeovers. Breakfast buffets need fruits and better coffees
