Clean warm room no mushrooms available as told kept getting wastedfor my veggie breakfast no brown sauce If vegetarians wanted more than 1 veg saut they had to pay extra but the meat eaters could have bacon and sausage at no extra charge Not told we had to register vehicle registered next morning could have ended up with a ticket as the site uses ANR Overall though excellent value for money and fresh hot breakfastvalue for money

The room was ok for our short stay the staff very friendly and efficient. The only downside was that the restaurant was not open for some reason and so we had to travel to eat our evening meal. The breakfast thought was very nice.

Room clean and comfortable but could do with some updating, particularly the bathroom. Easy to park, but is on an industrial estate and i wouldn't want to walk back to it in the dark. Was quiet, no noise issues with the estate, but my room was adjacent to the carpark and did get woken up early by cars leaving. Has a bar until 10.30.

The hotel is a bit run down but fairly clean. It’s your basic motel in a carpark with a separate reception building with restaurant. It’s located in the middle of an industrial park and across the canal from a recycling site which unfortunately has a motion activated security tannoy system which set of a loud announcement several times evey night. The hotel doesn’t have aircon so if you need the windows open ask for a room at the front. There was also a noticeable smell of bins from the recycling site.

It’s located in the middle of an industrial park and across the canal from a recycling site which unfortunately has a motion activated security tannoy system which set of a loud announcement several times evey night. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Extra tea/coffee/milk was available at reception. Lights needed attention, 1 of 2 in bathroom and 1 of 2 bedside lights not working. Dining menu limited but adequate. Breakfast was good selection and hot.

Sheets and towels were clean but that's where it ended. No ventilation, one working lamp but shade was badly cracked and dirty. Very old electrics. The cleaners done a fantastic job on a building that is in very bad repair. The bar and restaurant area were lovely and modern but the company have sadly forgotten the hotel part. Cannot even say it needs a lick of paint, it needs pulling down. Staff were the only saving grace here.

Yes, it was a great price and only one night. But it was like walking back into the 80s. Everything was from that time zone, light fitting, desk area, tiling in bathroom etc. There were cobwebs in corner off the roof. Discoloured paint in area's and black mould. Bed cover had a rip in it too. Overall cheap room with the discount I got. But so old and dated, it needs a full refit. I wouldn't want to stay again, I would pay an extra £10 to stay up the road next time.

I checked in and was given my room number. When i got to the room it had not been cleaned. Returned to reception and was given another room, got to the door and the card would not open the door. Back to reception and got the card initialised and returned to the room to find that it had not been cleaned either. Back to reception and said that I was sitting in the bar until someone found me a room and checked that it was clean. Not a very good first impression of your hotel and when I complained to the guy in charge, he replied "Its nothing to do with me"??? Who was it to do with? I wont be staying in any of your hotels in future and will not be recommending them to anyone either. I think I should have a full refund for the way I was treated

We had a good stay at the Campanile Wakefield, check in was easy and it was a nice clean room and bed, shower was good to, plus a nice cup of tea, just the ticket for a one night stay thanks David.

The room was adequate, but shabby. (Peeling ceiling, chipped enamel in the bath etc). There was little fresh air in the building with no visible air-con and the only opening window restricted to a tiny gap, because it faced the walkway. The water was always hot and plentiful. The tea/coffee facilities were poor (especially as these were ‘self renewing’ - as you don’t routinely service rooms occupied for more than one night). The floor was filthy - I dropped a dark t-shirt on the floor and when I picked it up, it was covered with fluff and pubic hair - not pleasant. The construction meant that I was woken early by ‘elephant footed’ guests parading up and down the walkway at the front - on either floor). The full length mirror was only discovered on my last morning - having been hidden behind the strange ‘lobby door’. The reception staff member checking me in was most pleasant. Perhaps she could run some training for her other colleagues. Had I paid the full nightly rate advertised on the inside doors of your rooms, I should have sought a partial refund. It’s only because I paid the ‘early bird’ rate that I declined to do so, but I could not recommend this property to any other guest.

Overall, my experience at the property was satisfactory. Would I book it again for a work trip? Absolutely. However, I wouldn't choose it for a romantic weekend getaway with my partner. It's precisely as advertised - a budget hotel. The Good: The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were well-maintained, and we were provided with fresh towels throughout our stay. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Room for Improvement: The decor felt like a throwback to the mid-70s, and the room could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Going off my room I would say this is the worst Campanile I have experienced. My initial thought when entering the room is I expected it to be rented out by the hour. It was a quiet room though I was expecting to hear noise from the outside and other rooms. Be careful with the shower as there was no temperature limitation on it. I nearly scalded myself when I first tried to get in the shower.

Room is motel style so accessed from outside, the room I had was at the back of the building but well lit. Room was dated but clean, though there was a smell of old cigarette smoke. The mattress was a little too soft for me but bedding was immaculate. Very quiet, no noise from the road.

American style motel. Our room was good but we didn't sleep as we were on the ground floor next to the external stairs to the other floors. As this motel was in the middle of an industrial estate people had to use taxis etc to get to it after their night out. These pulled up outside our room every 10/20 mins as people came home. It was about 3/3:30 the last one turned up. Then about 5:30 a group of men who were getting up to either go to work or go home after staying here started to shout to each other from the balcony/walkway above asking where their drill was and other tools. After they had finished others where getting up to go early and where dragging cases down the stairs ways. So all in all not an enjoyable experience. There was no-one in reception as we left to say anything to just a box to drop off your keycard.

Best value for money place you will ever find,it’s quiet showers/bath are decent .there is face ,body,shampoo wash .kettle ,teas.more value for money than ibis even Ramada offer .yes its not within a hotel 4 walls .but doesn’t anyone really care?.i cant speak for any campinile but Wakefield.brilliant my go to essential stay place .Also breakfast is available.

Absolutely disgusting staff are rude and unpleasant to talk to. Room are disgusting look nothing like the pictures on the website also there is a £50 holding fee which is not on the website didn’t get the email about it until later on end up ringing up about it which she was very rude over the phone the rooms aren’t even worth the £50 holding fee wouldn’t let my dog sleep In it wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel was awful , The receptionist was rude couldn’t be bothered looking for a fan ( too busy don’t think we have any ) had to get get bedding as our on arrival was dirty , It was very noisy Stink from tip next door was unbearable/ couple with the heat Saturday , Nobody seemed to man reception as often as the 24 hour advertised, more like 24 mins an hour ,Dated rooms Never ever ever ever ever again Ever….

I couldn't rate this hotel highly enough. I have stayed here 30 plus times over the past year and I have never had the slightest problem once. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room are nice and clean and quiet.

Room clean and comfortable but could do with some updating, particularly the bathroom. Easy to park, but is on an industrial estate and i wouldn't want to walk back to it in the dark. Was quiet, no noise issues with the estate, but my room was adjacent to the carpark and did get woken up early by cars leaving. Has a bar until 10.30.

Quite hotel in out of the way area with plenty of space and nice reception which included a dining area for evening meals and breakfasts. Room has a reasonable space and bathroom. Will need a car to get there as the main shopping centre is 5 minutes away.

These are chalet rooms. A long way from central wakefield. So not handy. There are no takeaways.. Restaurants or travel points near. There was a good pub a short walk on arrival i was asked for a £50 deposit. Which i was not aware off before arriving

Cheap budget hotel in an industrial estate. Nothing round about . £5 in a taxi to Wakefield which isn’t bad. Clean Bed and decent shower. No Hilton by any stretch but fine for a couple of nights sleep.

For the price - it’s an ok stay? Food is limited - you have the hotel or Toby carvery, didn’t check deliveries nearby but is limited. Nice quiet area though!

The room was comfortable with a good sized bed and duvet. The water in the bathroom was very hot and heating provided. Breakfast was freshly cooked with cereals etc in abundance which ensured a good Starr of day. Reception services were excellent. For the price paid I will definitely stay here again.

Clean warm room no mushrooms available as told kept getting wastedfor my veggie breakfast no brown sauce If vegetarians wanted more than 1 veg saut they had to pay extra but the meat eaters could have bacon and sausage at no extra charge Not told we had to register vehicle registered next morning could have ended up with a ticket as the site uses ANR Overall though excellent value for money and fresh hot breakfastvalue for money

The room was ok for our short stay the staff very friendly and efficient. The only downside was that the restaurant was not open for some reason and so we had to travel to eat our evening meal. The breakfast thought was very nice.

Last few times I’ve stayed now they have not had all the items on the menu for food The breakfast this time was also very small But for the cost, you can’t really fault it

Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Extra tea/coffee/milk was available at reception. Lights needed attention, 1 of 2 in bathroom and 1 of 2 bedside lights not working. Dining menu limited but adequate. Breakfast was good selection and hot.

Exceeded expectations! Was wanting a basic, clean comfortable place to stay, which it was, but well above basic! And the continental breakfast was way above expectations, really great range of choices for all diets.

Absolutely disgusting staff are rude and unpleasant to talk to. Room are disgusting look nothing like the pictures on the website also there is a £50 holding fee which is not on the website didn’t get the email about it until later on end up ringing up about it which she was very rude over the phone the rooms aren’t even worth the £50 holding fee wouldn’t let my dog sleep In it wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Sheets and towels were clean but that's where it ended. No ventilation, one working lamp but shade was badly cracked and dirty. Very old electrics. The cleaners done a fantastic job on a building that is in very bad repair. The bar and restaurant area were lovely and modern but the company have sadly forgotten the hotel part. Cannot even say it needs a lick of paint, it needs pulling down. Staff were the only saving grace here.
