We felt this was a great value for level of accommodations. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the few I really enjoyed in Europe (Americans like protein for breakfast!) Unfortunately there was no outdoor eating area as pictured that I had envisioned but they mentioned there were some things under construction outside that will be open soon. Do know it is a pleasant 7 min walk to town. Also note that it is the high mountainous area of Anacapri which is a long ride down the cliff to any beach areas. This would not have changed our choice but we would have gone to the beach the first day before checking in if we would have known. The taxis are quite expensive to get anywhere and uncharge you for breathing. Great place, stay here. Eat, sleep and be merry!

This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were taken care of and felt like we were at home. The property itself is so nice and neatly decorated - the terrace was also lovely and peaceful. Rita and the rest of the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful in finding us transportation and things to do in the area. They had tons of recommendations for things nearby and GF/celiac restaurants to visit. They even went out of their way to bring us gluten free substitutes for breakfast, specifically for us. I would absolutely go back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Capri/Anacapri!!

The hotel is most beautiful: white with blue ceramic floors, the terrace is framed with antique sculptures. The room had the sea view. The staff contacted us with tips on how to get to a place from which their driver picked us up. The stay was so pleasant we didn't want to leave.

For someone looking to do Capri on a budget, this place is definitely good value for money. Our only real qualm was that Expedia listed it as having a pool and laundry, but there was no laundry and the pool was closed. Otherwise, hosts are very helpful and provided great recommendations on the sites to see. Utilize the local bus system and you can get anywhere on the island with relative ease. There is also a little sandwich shop just up the road from the place, highly recommend.

The property stated that it had been renovated but bathroom and toilet was very old. Only painted not renovated Towels were extremely old and worn and sheets had an odour. Also there was no inroom aircon so it was warm and difficult to sleep. Town centre was a 15 minute walk but uphill and lots of steps.

Hotel Bussola, while in a safe and clean location, does have some drawbacks, namely the small shower in the bathroom reminiscent of a cruise ship shower, the interior location that requires you to walk about 15 minutes to get to central Anacapri (there is a complimentary pick up service that picks you up halfway from your journey up from Capri to Anacapri via taxi or bus to the hotel and back to the bus stop). Breakfast options are okay, but the room was clean, small bathroom/shower concern aside. Staff was friendly and helpful regarding questions about getting around the area and things to see. Can get tickets for chairlift and boat tour of Capri at discounted rate at front desk if you book through the hotel. At the rate we had booked the hotel room for, it's on the pricier side given the accommodations, you may find better value elsewhere.

Wonderful stay here. Met by the friendliest of staff possible. Escorted to our room were the staff kindly transported our heavy luggage up the stairs. Extremely good information given about what we could do in Capri. Booking available through reception. Room cleanliness to a very high standard. Bed a touch uncomfortable but everything else outweighs this. Breakfast provided when booking- when you arrive at breakfast you’re greeted by the friendly staff with a smile and asked if you would like a coffee. I can’t speak highly enough about the service they provide. Transport from the hotel to taxi stand/ bus stop provided on check out. On check in be sure to have WhatsApp so the hotel can contact you to organise transport from the port. An amazing service all around. 10/10

Easy communication with hotel rep. Picked us up from main bus stop, explained and suggested what where and when for full experience of anacapri and capri island. Good bkfst. Room is very small but comfortable the rest of hotel is updated and beautifully decorated. Will come back ciao

The owners were very nice and helpful in making plans. They even called and made sure our plans were arranged properly. We had dinner reservations and they confirmed our pickup. We also had a private boat tour around Capri scheduled and they called the company to make sure they didn’t waste our time sitting for two hours waiting to get into the blue grotto. The breakfast was a smaller selection but it’s also a smaller place. They made our cappuccinos fresh instead of using a self service machine. And, they didn’t charge us extra for the breakfast like some places did. The room was decent. The bathroom was small but serviceable. Since the hotel is in Anacapri the streets are very, very small. The taxis won’t go all the way to the hotel because they can’t fit down the street. The owner sent a driver to get us from a meeting point. It is walkable to the town center and to a meeting point. The taxi ride to Capri is a bit expensive but necessary because it it definitely not walkeable as it’s straight up a mountain.

The hotel staff were super friendly & nice. The location was fairly far from the Ferry & long walk from the taxi drop. Rooms were not good, shower was terrible, shower head was all blocked & was the worst showering experience. But hotel staff were super nice, they helped with our luggage on check out to help us do the gondola & brought our luggage to us once we were done to help us get to ferry on time.

Rita and staff are just a dream! Italian hospitality at its finest. Felt at home and really didn’t want to leave. Breakfast was the cherry on top! Will be returning. Ask Rita for recommendations, she made our Capri trip special!

My wife and I loved the hotel Bussola di Hermes. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was really tasty and transportation from the piazza and back when we arrived and left was quick and easy. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The owners were very nice and helpful in making plans. They even called and made sure our plans were arranged properly. We had dinner reservations and they confirmed our pickup. We also had a private boat tour around Capri scheduled and they called the company to make sure they didn’t waste our time sitting for two hours waiting to get into the blue grotto. The breakfast was a smaller selection but it’s also a smaller place. They made our cappuccinos fresh instead of using a self service machine. And, they didn’t charge us extra for the breakfast like some places did. The room was decent. The bathroom was small but serviceable. Since the hotel is in Anacapri the streets are very, very small. The taxis won’t go all the way to the hotel because they can’t fit down the street. The owner sent a driver to get us from a meeting point. It is walkable to the town center and to a meeting point. The taxi ride to Capri is a bit expensive but necessary because it it definitely not walkeable as it’s straight up a mountain.

Wonderful stay here. Met by the friendliest of staff possible. Escorted to our room were the staff kindly transported our heavy luggage up the stairs. Extremely good information given about what we could do in Capri. Booking available through reception. Room cleanliness to a very high standard. Bed a touch uncomfortable but everything else outweighs this. Breakfast provided when booking- when you arrive at breakfast you’re greeted by the friendly staff with a smile and asked if you would like a coffee. I can’t speak highly enough about the service they provide. Transport from the hotel to taxi stand/ bus stop provided on check out. On check in be sure to have WhatsApp so the hotel can contact you to organise transport from the port. An amazing service all around. 10/10

The hotel is excellently located in Anacapri far from the hustle and bustle. From the hotel, there is a super scenic walk (15 mins downhill) to the popular Blue Grotto. The hotel owners Rita and Cristian are kind and extremely helpful. I highly recommend hotel Bussola!

The most lovely stay with the most friendly staff! The property was stunning and was lovely, clean and felt comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful, the pick up from the bus stop, booking activities and recommendations on where to go on the island were so helpful and made the trip memorable! The centre of anacapri was a short walk from the hotel which felt safe at night. Beautiful stay and would love to go back!

We felt this was a great value for level of accommodations. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the few I really enjoyed in Europe (Americans like protein for breakfast!) Unfortunately there was no outdoor eating area as pictured that I had envisioned but they mentioned there were some things under construction outside that will be open soon. Do know it is a pleasant 7 min walk to town. Also note that it is the high mountainous area of Anacapri which is a long ride down the cliff to any beach areas. This would not have changed our choice but we would have gone to the beach the first day before checking in if we would have known. The taxis are quite expensive to get anywhere and uncharge you for breathing. Great place, stay here. Eat, sleep and be merry!

My wife and I loved the hotel Bussola di Hermes. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was really tasty and transportation from the piazza and back when we arrived and left was quick and easy. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

A beautiful retreat from the bustle of the summer crowds . Easy walking to Anacapri center for restaurants , shopping and hiking trails . The staff were amazing and so friendly . We had a wonderful stay highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were taken care of and felt like we were at home. The property itself is so nice and neatly decorated - the terrace was also lovely and peaceful. Rita and the rest of the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful in finding us transportation and things to do in the area. They had tons of recommendations for things nearby and GF/celiac restaurants to visit. They even went out of their way to bring us gluten free substitutes for breakfast, specifically for us. I would absolutely go back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Capri/Anacapri!!
