It has a small bar on site if you want to have a drink in ye evening and a very good breakfast is available if you want to eat at the hotel for $10 euro. The breakfast included bacon, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and coffee when we were there. There are a couple of coffee bars close by if you don’t want to eat at the hotel.

This property was built in the 14th century right on the Grand Canal. We had a view of the canal … it was beautiful! The buffet breakfast was very nice and convenient. Hotel had NO elevator but they have a porter to carry your heavy bags up to your room. The water taxi stops right at the hotel - very convenient. Only issue (and it is very minor) the floor in the room tilts to the wall and your head is below your feet. Also the split AC/Heater did not go onto heat so in am it was chilly. Again these were minor issues. This place was lovely, the staff very accommodating and I would stay here again!!

The hotel has a dock for water taxi which makes it very easy to get there. Location was good and lots of things near the hotel. The room was quite large and comfortable although the bathroom was quite small and very uncomfortable. This is a good choice of hotels.

Bra hotell de enda man skulle kunna klaga på är väll alla trappor och ingen hiss när man bodde längst upp. Annars var de bra man kunde sitta på baksidan ute på en brygga med utkik över vattnet riktigt mysigt. Där ifrån kunde man även ta en båt taxi om man ville. Rummen var bra rena och fräscha, samt riktigt trevlig personal😊 De var även ganska nära till shopping osv också

The location of this hotel is perfect…close enough to walk to everything but away from the biggest crowds. There is a wooden patio facing The Grand Canal…perfect to sit and watch the boats and gondolas. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. Nothing was a problem…gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and sites..arranged our water taxi upon check out to get us to the train station. We took advantage of the in hotel breakfast every morning..wonderful selection of meats cheeses fruits and pastries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

Hotel was nicely furnished with “old world” charm. We loved the fact that it overlooked the Grande Canal. Its quiet location was just what we needed after a busy day of sightseeing. Housekeeping was excellent and very responsive to special needs. Reception and bar service was good. Special kudos to Nihal who assisted us with getting luggage to the third floor. (NOTE: There is no elevator at this hotel so try and get a room on the first floor). The stairs were difficult for us. (We are 78 and 77). One last thing - the included breakfast was excellent and the service was very good.

We found 5 to 6 small worms in the bathroom again and again after rinsing them out while we were taking shower each time. We did not receive our VIP benefits that were promised to us. The room is very dusty and moldy, very tough for our son who has allergy. He has been suffering during our stay. We also found blood stains in bad sheet and pillow sheet.

At this hotel we stayed in the Grand Double Room with a canal view and I will say it was totally worth it. The room was gorgeous, the view was even more so. The staff were friendly and helpful with storing our bags until check-in. Would recommend.

I was in Venice for one night at the beginning of a longer trip. This was a great place for a short stay. The location is easily walkable from the train station. It is also very easy to get to the airport vaparetto. The hotel has charm and a helpful staff. I had a nice canal view. There is also a canal deck at the end of the hotel which provides a view. Only downside: The weather was warm and the room was hard to cool at times.

The staff were incredible , the beds comfortable and the view was fantastic. It’s just the rooms were a little old and dingy the one thing that really stood out was the slippers they give you to shower were brown they looked so sold and dirty so it just gave a bad vibe . But it wouldn’t stop me from staying there . The location is quite a hike from the train station you will need a water taxi direct if you have a lot of luggage .

We visited during Carnevale, and this hotel fitted in perfectly with this. The room decor was opulent with a magnificent view onto the Grand Canal. It was however quite well soundproofed with only a low level of noise coming through. The bathroom on the other hand was quite modern, and the shower was just great. Its nicely tucked away in a quiet area just off the main routes, and we missed the turn for the hotel a few times until we spotted the overhead signs. There's a nice little local bar in the square a couple of corners away for lunch and dinner, and you're only a few streets away from Rialto, which is a lot closer then the map makes it look like. Would we stay again? Yes!

A three night stay at a favourite hotel on the Grand Canal near Rialto Bridge. Located in a quiet Calle. Has a special resonance since my wife spent several months here as a student when it was a simple pensione. Some rooms are rather small at the price, but they were happy to moive us to a larger one when we asked.

This hotel is absolutely amazing!!! I have stayed here many times, but truly become overcome with joy when I arrive. I was warmly greeted by Fabio, whose customer service was outstanding. Nakin brought my bags up to my room, and then he brought me a drink on their beautiful terrace right on the grand canal. It is pure magic! His service is outstanding. Then, Angelo helped me with the ferry schedule. His customer service was outstanding! I am so grateful to be staying in this magical hotel.

I’ve been staying at San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto every year for ten years (except for Covid in 2020). I am always excited to return because staying there is like staying with family. I know the people at the reception desk (Simone is the best) and the people that take care of breakfast for the guests. Anna Maria, Sheryl, and Merlino know my tastes and they even come with my cappuccino without my having to order it. Without exception all the employees are the kindest, most caring and helpful; they always make my stay wonderful and make me want to return the following year. If you email them with a request (like asking for my favorite room or sending back a forgotten object) they respond immediately despite de 6-hour difference between us. I have already recommended them to friends, will gladly continue to do so, and will always return to San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto.
I’ve been staying at San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto every year for ten years (except for Covid in 2020). I am always excited to return because staying there is like staying with family. I know the people at the reception desk (Simone is the best) and the people that take care of breakfast for the guests. Anna Maria, Sheryl, and Merlino know my tastes and they even come with my cappuccino without my having to order it. Without exception all the employees are the kindest, most caring and helpful; they always make my stay wonderful and make me want to return the following year. If you email them with a request (like asking for my favorite room or sending back a forgotten object) they respond immediately despite de 6-hour difference between us. I have already recommended them to friends, will gladly continue to do so, and will always return to San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto.

The location is to amazing within easy reach of both Rialto and St Marks. There is a great choice of good restaurants in the area. Travel around Venice is easy with a Vaporetto stop just a short walk away.

I booked this hotel/ trip as a gift for my husband. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make him feel welcome. They were very friendly and helpful. He loved his room next to a side canal, which was very comfortable and relaxing, with great facilities . He also found the breakfast excellent. He hasn’t stopped talking about his stay since he came home a week ago! Would love to return!

I was in Venice for one night at the beginning of a longer trip. This was a great place for a short stay. The location is easily walkable from the train station. It is also very easy to get to the airport vaparetto. The hotel has charm and a helpful staff. I had a nice canal view. There is also a canal deck at the end of the hotel which provides a view. Only downside: The weather was warm and the room was hard to cool at times.

Excellent hotel on the waterfront, walkable from the main train station though plenty of bridges to cross if you have luggage. Shorter and easier walk from S. Stae water stop. Very quiet location. We loved the stay.

We visited during Carnevale, and this hotel fitted in perfectly with this. The room decor was opulent with a magnificent view onto the Grand Canal. It was however quite well soundproofed with only a low level of noise coming through. The bathroom on the other hand was quite modern, and the shower was just great. Its nicely tucked away in a quiet area just off the main routes, and we missed the turn for the hotel a few times until we spotted the overhead signs. There's a nice little local bar in the square a couple of corners away for lunch and dinner, and you're only a few streets away from Rialto, which is a lot closer then the map makes it look like. Would we stay again? Yes!

Excellent hotel with great decor and friendly staff. Check-in was efficient. Hotel is directly on the grand canal and has taxi boat locations nearby and is centrally located within Venice. Room was clean, quiet, and had fast wi-fi. Would definitely like to return.

The location of this hotel is perfect…close enough to walk to everything but away from the biggest crowds. There is a wooden patio facing The Grand Canal…perfect to sit and watch the boats and gondolas. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. Nothing was a problem…gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and sites..arranged our water taxi upon check out to get us to the train station. We took advantage of the in hotel breakfast every morning..wonderful selection of meats cheeses fruits and pastries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

A three night stay at a favourite hotel on the Grand Canal near Rialto Bridge. Located in a quiet Calle. Has a special resonance since my wife spent several months here as a student when it was a simple pensione. Some rooms are rather small at the price, but they were happy to moive us to a larger one when we asked.

This was an excellent hotel. It is right on the Grand Canal and in a great location that is easy to get to all the wonderful sites in Venice. The hotel staff was really great and very helpful. The room had a lot of old character and was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and an enjoyable stay.

The hotel was located beautifully and it’s a lovely hotel. Unfortunate that I am a young 58, but I think it could be quite difficult for someone who’s perhaps older or not very fit to go up and down such steep staircases in particular the one going to the third floor I think this is characteristic of many staircases in Europe, in particular I noticed in the Netherlands, but otherwise I think it was a lovely hotel that I would recommend others and I would absolutely stay there again!
