Albergo al Tiepolo

Lage ist super, nur ein paar Minuten vom Markusplatz entfernt und sehr viele Lokale in der Umgebung. Abends deshalb etwas lauter was im Zimmer zu hören ist. Auch die Wände sind sehr dünn weshalb man Pech mit den Zimmernachbarn haben kann. Zimmern sind sehr klein und altmodisch, war bei uns nicht ganz sauber, wir haben Haare gefunden und die Bettwäsche war aufgerissen. Bad war sehr klein, es konnten sich keine zwei Personen zur gleichen Zeit drin aufhalten, Waschbecken aus Edelstahl, Temperaturregelung der Dusche funktioniert nicht immer und die Handtücher waren eher wie Tischtücher.

Besides the fairly small, not to easy to find alley, the fairly preoccupied and unprepared staffing meeting us, the fain smell of sewage in the lounge and breakfast area (which might come from the rivers), the obvious poorly and cheap renovations (eg. Very bad plastering, terrible painting work, and the very ugly, cheap, poorly laid and already laminate that were laid in the entire hotel), which also probably leads to the faint smell of mold on the room (and the poorly installed door to the bathroom that scraped the floor all the way, not ensuring propper ventilation in the bathroom), the not too good beds, the broken fridge, the moisture damage on the flooring, doors and windows and very expensive breakfast (that we did not try due to its price); the hotel were actually OK. We were fortunate enough to get a room with balcony where we could was all the Gondoloes pass by, which was actually quite cosy to enjoy a glass of wine with. It was quiet and had functional air-conditioning and the bed was at least clean. However, the best way to describe Hotel Tiepolo: Just a place to sleep, fairly unconfortable, for a tad bit cheaper than a propper hotel. Dont stay here. Do yourself a favor and find a 10% more expensive hotel that actually give proper service and don't have the obvious aura of "We refurbished a hotel as cheaply as possible and now just make it run, just to make money".

The best things about this hotel is the location. Just next to the most famous square in Venice, next to the water bus stops. Super convenient. However this hotel loses on a couple fronts so please consider these before booking. 1. The bath shower had mold along all corners. It just made everything look poor and unhealthy. 2. This is a very very very basic hotel with not enough amenities. No body lotion etc in bathroom. The bath towels are super thin. 3. The manager forced us to pay the city tax in cash which was weird since the person. George is paid with a card. All other places in Italy accepted cards. 4. Lastly, there is a common bathroom between the rooms and the door is mostly always open that creates a stinky smell all the time.

The accommodation was perfectly situated. It was spotlessly clean, great shower and decent sized quiet room. The balcony was great too.

When i reached, the hotel was not traceable. It is inside a very narrow street. The room was very congested and was not properly cleaned. However, the receptionist staff is very lovely and helpful.

Will do anything money. Ok stay! But… this stay was challenge right from the start. I didn’t have cash for the city tax and they expected me to go do a cash advance at an ATM, for huge fees to get 14 euro in cash and save the payment fees processing it on CC that at most would be 35 cents. After talking I told them I would not. This was 12th day in italy, I know the tax well. Not you one place ever acted like this. She said, we told on expedia. No you did not say you only take cash. They didn’t understand. If a hotel ever, goes this far to save cents from a paying customer clearly they will do anything for money. Issues: * No Hot Water for 3 days * Upstairs 2nd floor smelt like sewage. * Can hear everything! Some rooms must be shared bathrooms, you will hear every trip they make. Overall: It was a stay… Don’t think I would return.

Clean enough, comfortable bed. Advertises complimentary breakfast online and in our room. When we went to the breakfast room at the prescribed time, we were told they don’t offer breakfast. This is something we look for when choosing accommodations. Also the toilet never flushed entirely. The shower door was missing and the substituting shower curtain was hung with zip ties.

Réceptionniste très sympathique, hôtel propre mais horrible odeur toute la nuit des que la clim a été mise en marche, wc ne fonctionnait pas, nuit blanche à cause des voisins qui ont mit la musique et parlé toute la nuit. Très mauvais souvenir !

Nice hotel for what you pay. Not very sounds proof within the hotel - can hear people talking in corridor/reception. My door was next to the communal toilet and the doors are loud. Would’ve been ideal having a kettle in the room

The hotel and room were very clean but very noisy. You could hear all the guests and staff doing everything all hours of the day and night.

Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående. Rummet var det minsta vi haft på vår nu snart 4 veckors resa. Trots detta var det det dyraste rummet. Priset var inte värt mot vad vi fick. Mögel i duschen, trasigt toalettlock, ingen ventilation i badrummet. Handdukarna var som lakan, alltså ingen frotté. Kassaskåpet funkade första natten men fick byta kod till dag 2 då de siffror man ville använda slutade att fungera. Väldigt lyhört både utåt och in mot korridoren. Alla som gick förbi kändes som de gick inne i rummet. Läget var perfekt. Väldigt centralt och nära både restauranger, butiker, sevärdheter och båtarna.

Hotel bien ubicado cerca de la plaza san Marcos y Puente Rialto, muchos restaurantes buenos cercas la trattoria de Remigio excelente , el cuarto un poco pequeño pero tiene todo baño muy pequeño y el aire acondicionado casi no enfría , claro el calor era bastante , no sé si repetiría

Unfortunately, the reviews I read were true. The hotel is in a perfect location, but every time we entered the room, it smelled horrible. Like a old shoe had been laid out for days. I would definitely say you look somewhere else if you're sensitive to smells. We also had a hard time sleeping with all the street noise. And it was by far the smallest space we stayed in while we were in Italy.

Close to the ferry terminal. Clean and nice sized rooms . Staff was very helpful . We could keep our luggage after checking out and even use the washroom when we collected our bags. Good price and washroom was inside the rooms which was a huge requirement for us. Overall good hotel.

We had an excellent stay. The staff was helpful and very accommodating. All of the linens in our room were lovely quality. We tried to buy the bath towels from them! The location is perfect and very walkable.

Good location and staff was very receptive to any concerns or needs. Place is mainly ideal for being within walking distance of popular sites.

Reservamos por tres noches y al hacer el check in nos ofrecieron un upgrade por un costo adicional muy bajo. Finalmente nos alojamos en un anexo (Ducale). Es un apartamento espectacular muy limpio, nuevo y con una decoracion preciosa. Tiene todas las comodidades. El personal muy amable y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. La ubicacion es inmejorable, A pasos de la plaza San Marco y cerca de Rialto. Lo recomiendo.
