Hotel was close to all the activities we wanted to do - the Academia Museum, Peggy Guggenheim Museum, close to St. Marks - but away from the crowds. Hotel has a small elevator, which made getting bags up to room easier! Nice breakfast. Great service.

This property did not have any elevators, and we had to lug our luggage up several flights of stairs. The room was rather tiny, but the air-conditioning did work. For the price I think it was a good hotel in a good location for us. It was odd that the registration desk was on the 3rd floor of one building, and we had to go to a different building for our room. Breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly.

Lovely property to stay at in Venice, right on the canal in a safe area. Spacious room. Air con that works. A little tricky to find, use their map and look for the little gold plaque with their name on it on the door down this tiny alley. Check in is on the third floor so leave your bags in the entry on the first floor, check in and then they may take you to the next building for your room. You may have to take bags up stairs so recommend not having heavy suitcases.

Boa localização, próximo a uma parada do Vaporetto. A recepção, café da manhã e alguns quartos ficam num prédio no 3º andar e o elevador só cabe uma pessoa, mas nem usamos, subimos de escada. Como reservamos dois quartos, ficamos num prédio ao lado, e com uma area de sala, cozinha a disposição, o que acabou sendo um apartamento, com acesso por escada no 1º andar. Quartos confortáveis, espaçosos e café bem variado. No geral nota 10, só o ponto do elevador que para pessoas de mais idade pode ser difícil.

Exceptional hotel, decor beautiful, breakfast excellent and the breakfast room overlooking a canal. Bathroom delightful, Murano glass chandeliers in our suite. Walking distance to Vaparato, water bus, which is great to get around. Gondolier rides at Academia bridge recommended, near to hotel. Only consideration is the lift, 3 feet square max, hand operated. No problem with small suitcases or 1 person at a time with case going up to 3rd floor. Would definitely come back here. Valentina and her staff are welcoming and attentive.

They advertised a lift/elevator so I did not request it as I wasn’t aware that there was 2 bldgs and even though I asked for the first floor in Italy the first floor you have to walk up stairs to get to the first floor. We had a handicapped person and it was very difficult getting to and from the room. We were not aware that a room for four would be all in one room with a double bed and a pull out sofa. Great location and very clean. Great breakfast

The hotel looks like an apartment building converted to a hotel . The bathroom was very uncomfortable to take a shower too small and I’m 5’7” and 165lbs so imagine what the looks like. Breakfast was good . The second apt on other side of building has no elevator so travel very lightly if you go there. The elevator on main building is tiny barely fit a person with luggage. No picture because it wasn’t what I expected from what I saw on Expedia site. Pictures are deceiving 2 stars place

We stayed 2 nights and we both had bites from the first night. When we woke up ln the second night we found bed bugs crawling on us and the bed. I left the hotel a message to contact me to resolve the matter and have not heard from them so I can only assume they won’t be taking care of the problem.

Very clean room with big windows to get fresh air looking at the channel… everything smells so good and clean; breakfast was great and abundant. Front desk people were very friendly, helpful and speaks clear English. Shower pressure water was great and everything is walking distances in a magic area! Walking through the narrow and charming streets and bridges from this charming well maintained hotel was magic. Carry the map paper they will provide you in case your google maps doesn’t work properly. We fully recommend this place for family and friends.

Nice staff and a good location but the condition of the building is quite poor. The shower leaked and you could see mold growing on the walls in the stairwell underneath it. It smelled like mold as well.

It was a great medium priced hotel with normal good amenities. The shower was much bigger than a lot of European hotels so that was a highlight. The room was pretty large and well decorated. We were on the second floor right up against the street and the noise from lots of people walking around and yelling late into the night, kept us from keeping the windows open while sleeping. Not sure if the air-conditioning was working, but it maintained a slightly warm temperature never cooling off nicely.

Palazzo guardi has the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean & fully equipped with all you need... Breakfast choice was excellent from bacon & eggs to cereals, yogurts, & nuts to pancakes & maple syrup.. The staff looking after us couldn't have been anymore accommodating.

The room and attached bath was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Bath had great water pressure, bed was comfy. Our room overlooked a small canal which could be somewhat noisy during the day and early evening but if the window is closed its pretty quiet. The only complaint we had was the room smelled like perfume and we had to air it out upon arrival. That said we timed our trip during a good temperature week and didn't need heat or air conditioning so can't speak to room temperature. It is in a little quieter of a neighborhood than the other touristy parts of Venice (by the square or bridge) but it's Venice and always somewhat busy. Its about a 5 minute walk to the water taxis including the one to the airport which is a plus. The included breakfast was ok but there are plenty of restaurants in the area too.

Really enjoyed our stay as a family of four at this hotel. The location was just what we needed and the area is much cheaper to eat at than San Marco and Rialto. So much to see and do. The breakfast was basic but adequate for us. Beautiful bedroom and kept clean and water replaced daily. With a little fridge. Netflix on TV and view was great over the canal. The lift a little small and slow if needed. Friendly staff and can leave luggage if needed after check out . Very happy thank you

Such a beautiful property. It still has the historical charm, which I loved. Our canal view room was spacious. Opened the window every morning for a fresh breeze & beautiful view of the water & town. The location is perfect. You are away from the tourist crowds, yet a short walk to everything. The staff was pleasant & helpful. They set up a nice breakfast every morning, had croissants set out all day.

The staff was amazing at this hotel. We needed help with our luggage which after a 10 day cruise was alot. Also they helped us with a water taxi to get to the airport!

Management and staff refused to accept responsibility for their negligence which led to a piece of jewelry falling into a hole in the floor of our room. Staff insisted we must arrange and pay to have the jewelry shipped to us. We suggested a simple solution which management accepted. After five weeks we have not received the jewelry even though management stated it would be mailed to us. Management no longer responds to our emails. We will never stay at this hotel again and recommend that others find another hotel in Venice.

Very clean, the staff from the breakfast bar was very friendly and helpful, the receptionist is in the third floor and when we arrived was very confusing, there is no signs or any help for the tourist but this lady screaming from the third floor stairs, not professional or helpful. The hotel was good. We were taken to another building, not really friendly directions at all.

We had great help from the reception staff with 3 separate items in which we needed help (not issues or problems) regarding luggage, food and recommendations. Housekeeping and breakfast staff were very responsive and helpful too. All very friendly and thoughtful!! It is on the 3rd floor of a building overlooking a canal. And yes it has an elevator/lift. We had something shipped here for us and they were super accommodating in receiving it and holding it for us. Thank you very much!! Breakfast included a variety of choices for food and drink. All fresh and tasty in a nice open area. Very attentive to requests. It’s a small hotel with spacious rooms and excellent service. Grazie mille Valentina per il vostro servizio!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo Guardi. Our room with Terrace was spacious and comfortable and our perfect home away from home during our stay in Venice. The staff were amazing and Valentina was responsive, charming and so very helpful throughout. The location is absolutely perfect and loved the charm of walking a Venetian alley to get to Hotel. The elevator was quirky but worked so well to get our luggage up to third floor. Breakfast was varied, delicious and had everything you needed to fortify for a day out and about in beautiful Venice. Hotel was close to all the activities we wanted to do - the Academia Museum, Peggy Guggenheim Museum, close to St. Marks - but away from the crowds. Hotel has a small elevator, which made getting bags up to room easier! Nice breakfast. Great service.

Opção com bom custo benefício para veneza. A menos de 5 minutos da parada do vaporeto, próximo a restaurantes e mercados na regiao de Dorsoduro. Café da manhã simples mas atende muito bem, até nutella eles dispõem. Realmente há 2 predios, nós ficamos no anexo (suite junior) mas além de servirem café nos 2 locais, ficam a 2 minutos um do outro. Reparamos que alguns quartos ficam bem ao lado do café o que pode ser um inconveniente, mas pra nós foi tudo perfeito, localização, tamanho do quarto, Internet e a vista para o canal maravilhoso.

Lovely property to stay at in Venice, right on the canal in a safe area. Spacious room. Air con that works. A little tricky to find, use their map and look for the little gold plaque with their name on it on the door down this tiny alley. Check in is on the third floor so leave your bags in the entry on the first floor, check in and then they may take you to the next building for your room. You may have to take bags up stairs so recommend not having heavy suitcases.

Very clean room with big windows to get fresh air looking at the channel… everything smells so good and clean; breakfast was great and abundant. Front desk people were very friendly, helpful and speaks clear English. Shower pressure water was great and everything is walking distances in a magic area! Walking through the narrow and charming streets and bridges from this charming well maintained hotel was magic. Carry the map paper they will provide you in case your google maps doesn’t work properly. We fully recommend this place for family and friends.

Exceptional hotel, decor beautiful, breakfast excellent and the breakfast room overlooking a canal. Bathroom delightful, Murano glass chandeliers in our suite. Walking distance to Vaparato, water bus, which is great to get around. Gondolier rides at Academia bridge recommended, near to hotel. Only consideration is the lift, 3 feet square max, hand operated. No problem with small suitcases or 1 person at a time with case going up to 3rd floor. Would definitely come back here. Valentina and her staff are welcoming and attentive.

The hotel front desk was very difficult to locate and they are currently in the process of relocating to another building near the current location. However once we found the hotel entrance in a small alley check-in was easy, the staff very hospitable and accommodating. The breakfast dining room, provided food, and associated staff were excellent with a selection that included "American-style" breakfast items to typical European pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses. A simple hotel, but clean, safe, friendly, and near the Galleria dell'Accademia vaporetto stop and Central to the city.

Great hotel, not a lot of rooms so no noise. Elevator is very tiny and slow however it works and that is the main thing. Air conditioning seemed to be set at a certain temperature but again it worked so that is what mattered. Excellent continental breakfast and great cappuccino. Easy to find from water taxi, recommend google directions ahead and you’ll be fine.

Fantastic location, easy to get to, very quiet. Rooms are beautifully decorated with old style Venetian decor, large rooms with a fantastic breakfast buffet. Close to ferry bus on Grand Canal and lagoon- elevator available for luggage , great a/c and fridge, tv and internet. If I could rate better than a “10”, I would !

Visited Venezia. We are a party of 3 and the room we had was spacious. With a private room for the 3rd person. Bed was comfortable bathroom was spacious too!
