It say it has a pool but doesn’t have one.

Pleasant surprise for the price. The hotel felt clean and modern at a very affordable price. Staff was great, but there is no pool contrary to the photos.

So staff was great. Breakfast was good and staff kept up with refilling and cleaning If I had to say the negative the elevator suck they was so slow you waited way to long. And they was so hot. Halls was so hot too They didn’t offer water. Most costly hotel as this one offered water. Water was scares the whole trip

1 ice machine working on 2nd floor. There wasn’t another one working in building. No breakfast buffet like advertised on website. And noisy kids running in hallway.

The first thing you see walking in is the lobby, so pretty and clean. Then the staff was on point!!! Friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about the area. The room is modern, clean, spacious and comfy only one thing is the toilet is super short as I'm 5'11" and hubby is 6'1". There's plenty lighting, outlets and mirrors in the room... There's a full BREAKFASTS, am a Chef and ive seem reviews about how nasty the food was, ALL LIES!!! Cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, oatmeal and on and on. If you have an issue with all of that did that one person cooked you're just a complianer with nothing to be happy about. I was so grateful to see the full breakfast buffet, great job!!!! Only one issue no pool... Other than that I'll definitely be back : )

It was hot inside the building at the checked desk and the hall way to the room. Ice machine work on 2nd floor. I stayed on the 4th floor. The hotel definitely needs renovations.

Construction was going on while we were staying, so we were disturbed pretty early in the morning. Elevator was terrifying, we were on the top floor and it still kept trying to go up. There was a huge roach in our bathroom when we lifted up the towels. The hallway was ridiculously hot and we had to keep taking our keycards to get renewed cause they’d quit working every time we left the room.

Front desk clerks were ALL RUDE. The hallways were hot and one of the elevators was broken. Other than that it was a good stay. Comfortable bed. FYI those front desk clerks need some lessons on customer service.

Wish there was a pool.

There was no pool it has been filled in. Only 1 elevator worked and only sometimes. The ice machine was broke. Wall paper pealing and not very clean.

Horrible my wife was bitten in her sleep by bed bugs so bad we had to go to the hospital due to her ear and neck swelling from the bites.

Hotel seemed very old and half updated (holes in headboard, hold from old TV). Not very clean; shower had mold, shower head was covered in some sort of pinkish residue that was flaking off, and room as well as sheets reeked of smoke.

This is a rebranded Hampton (next to a caged liquor store) that is under "renovation" but that might be more of an excuse to not keep it clean than an actual renovation under way. We booked 2 non-refundable nights (realized our mistake immediately after booking) and didn't stay the second night because of the giant roaches that came out after dark. Staff wasn't rude since we weren't either, but also not helpful and did not care at all.

My first and last stay. When I arrived, I was given room 216 but the AC didn't work so I was moved to room 220. The first night was fine but when I woke from the second night I bites all over my arms, back and face. I thought I had got bitten at work by spiders because there was nothing on the lower half of my body. It wasn't until the next night that I realized these weren't spider bites because I saw a little brown bug in the velvet blue headboard. I had been attacked by BED BUGS! It was a miserable, itchy and painful stay.

The hotel needs to be remodeled! Old carpeting on the floors, stapled wall paper. Not the cleanest as the bathroom was not clean upon arrival. The tub had a ring around it and rust around the drain. The sink drained very slow and left a ring due to that. Also, the room light bulb was blown by the bed and no phone in the room! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I was greated by roaches the moment i walked in the door. They were everywhere, adult roaches and babies. There was also a used condom on the night stand. I have pictures if if anyone would like to dispute my review. I told staff at front desk, she gave me a new room across the hall. Staff was very nice. Those ladys deserve better work condition.

The room was very dirty. Carpet in the room was wet from leaks or something. The shower did not work properly leaving the tub running while you showered. We were given no linens had to request those and had a 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for 4 people. I requested that as well and was given a roll that was damaged. Advertised to have a full breakfast and all that was provided was coffee, pre packed muffins and yogurt which were all limited

A/C unit was loud and vibrated the whole room. Other than that, it was a nice stay for the price.

I checked in, they gave me a key, I went to my room and unlocked the door, and there were people (other guests) inside. When I got a new room, it was clean and comfortable. But I heard a lot of noise from the hallway. The carpets in hallways look bad. There is a faint odor everywhere. The breakfast was okay but there was only one employee and she was run ragged.

I checked in around 11:15 pm and had to wait 20 minutes while the VERY frustrated customer service person attempted to help a gentleman who had a reservation but was being charged double at check in because of the Alabama game in town the next day. When it was finally my turn, she found my reservation but didn’t have a room for me (I reserved and paid for a king room). After 10 minutes of clicking around she finally gave me a double queen. She made me sign a document that overcharged me for my room as well. I told her I wasn’t paying anything extra and her response was “I’m not asking you too”. Within 5 minutes of me getting into my room, she was calling me to see if my room was occupied! I explained she just gave it to me. When I checked out the next morning, I was told by the morning desk that my card couldn’t be charged. I reminded them I had prepaid for my room then told them they gave me the wrong room to begin with. They gave me a double queen and the family who checked in behind me, the king I was supposed to get. Terrible service. Room was clean but old. Pillows VERY lumpy.

I was very impressed with the Hamilton Inn. The staff was very helpful and professional (especially the breakfast crew)! The location was convenient and seemed to be safe. The room was clean, quiet and had everything I needed. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start my day. I stayed in 2 other major-chain hotels the same week. They were more expensive and didnt come close to the Hamilton Inn! I would definitely stay there again!

Everything else is great, but the room was too small, I can hear the TV sounds from other rooms, foot steps from upper floor.

The room I start in was still under refurbishment. No lighting above the headboards, nor on the bedside tables. No electric outlets or USB ports for equipment, only the hole where the outlet would be installed. No cups for water in bathroom for personal hygiene purposes and the bathroom needed repairs.

Hotel in a very poor condition unfortunately. We had to change the room as tv was not working and the door knob was broken (risk of locking).

Beds uncomfortable, bedding had cigarette burns, desk leg broken in room. Furnirure old, rusted bathroom fixtures, a/c didn't blow cold (thankfully weather turned cold) only one elevator worked. Big hole in ceiling

Our. Check in was made so much nicer by our desk person Jamesha. We had problems with the Hotels.com booking. But she patiently sorted it all out. Even though the room was run down condition, we had a pleasant stay.

When we checked in and went to our assigned room unlocked the door with our room key the door safety latch was activated since the room was already occupied! There were 2 couples who had reservations but they had no rooms available therefore they had to leave to find other rooms. Once we were able to get into another room things got some better.

I stayed at this facility and the night seemed a bit pleasant, there was a lot of noise and then when I went to leave they told me that my deposit would be returned to my account and they never did. Then I called to report that I had not received my deposit and they hung up the call just because I spoke Spanish. Very bad treatment by the lady at the reception. I do not recommend staying here, they do not return the deposit.

Friendliest staff ever! Very clean hotel. Nothing fancy but the cleanliness and service make up for any modern amenities that might be missing.

Received a warm welcome from the front desk staff (Pamela W.), who provided excellent service. Felt great staying at this hotel for the first time. Clean, conveniently located, and definitely got more than what was paid for.

We got into this place so late and they were so kind and helpful and understanding. I wish we stayed here our whole visit instead of the option my relatives booked for us. The service at Hamilton was absolutely outstanding and they made us feel welcomed. No one bothered us about the breakfast offered or told us we couldn’t have it unless it was eaten in the public dining area provided. They knew we were struggling the next morning since we got in so late and they didn’t make us feel rushed or like we were a nuisance. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff did an excellent job at accommodating us. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back and putting you at the top of our list of places to stay In Bessemer

Older woman that checked us in thay night (named started with a S) was absolutely amazing. Suggested a restaurant near by and told us the spots to not go too. The tv in the room at first didn’t work, so she let us switch rooms!

I’m still waiting on a deposit from my stay a month ago. I even called the hotel 2 weeks ago and they said they refunded my deposit but my bank said it wasn’t true

The reason I love staying at hotels… the free breakfast which was very good. I had a plate full of deliciousness. The lady did a great job on it and kept everything filled for the guests. The lady at the check in counter was very sweet and made check in a breeze.

Got a room reservation via Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, the fist indication that this was a possible mistake was the sign noted under new management. Next was the various windows and their coverings that could be seen from the parking lot as either damaged, or non-existing. The "pool" was filled in with dirt, and the landscaping dead or dying. We entered the lobby and went to the desk noting we had two rooms for two couples reserved. We provided our names and my room reservation could not be found. I showed my confirmation number from Expedia, and it still was not in their system. We then found out that they had no rooms available at all, but the maintenance person said he knew some were available. They could not tell from the system as per the other lady at the front desk they were just giving out rooms as people came in so no rooms. The maintenance person was now going to go room to room to check what rooms were occupied. Now we were sure this was a mistake and noted we should look elsewhere. As this was happening an older couple came through the lobby and let everyone know that their room they were assigned already had someone in it! They were given the key/card but when the door opened they ran into people in the room already. We then stated that no need to knock on doors to find out if any rooms were empty as we would look elsewhere for accommodations. This truly was a mess, and we felt bad for the receptionist at the front desk.

I was very comfortable here, nice king size room, and shopping center nearby. First time ever I received my $150 deposit back on my card within three day. Great place to stay if in Bessemer, AL.

Good location - Catholic Church down the block was great to attend mass - many restaurants and right off the interstate. Maintaining the hotel and repairing one of two elevators to have both working will be a challenge and need to improve ratings. Thanks for having breakfast.

Told me they breakfast at 6...no breakfast at all Apparently the cook didn't show up...

Workers were nice and the facility is clean. The hallways are warm and muggy which isn't really that big of a deal. But what really sucked was, I guess, breakfast is first come first serve because by the time me and my toddler got there at 8:00 all the good stuff was gone and they never refilled it. I just don't feel like 8:00 is an unreasonable time to have breakfast so why is it running out? Not a bad place to stay, It was just a little disappointing .

Outstanding breakfast with a full spread of hot choices, well maintained. We look for exactly this type of hotel--older but well-maintained, competent staff, clean, affordable. Would definitely stay here again. We just completed a week long trip with 5 hotel nights, all in this price range, and this one was far and away the best.

Worse hotel in the U.S.! I have stayed in hotels in 45 states, and this is perhaps the worse one of them all. So many problems and utterly filthy. I cannot believe Hotels.com has them rated as a 7.0! Issues: 1. I reserved 2 rooms through Hotels.com. Only to find that only one reservation was made. Fortunately, I was able to add another room upon arrival. 2. First noticed the waiting area and the dining area was filthy. Nasty carpets and all furniture was stained and worn out. 3. The coffee machine in my room was filthy (see picture). 4. The AC had been off in second room. It was probably 85 degrees in there. It took several hours to cool down. 5. Floor in second room was sticky and dirty. 6. After taking shower, I realized I had no bath towels. I dried with washcloths. Next morning I mentioned it but upon my return to the hotel they still had not given me towels. I had to go to front desk to get them. 7. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were the smallest I have ever seen. Only good for one person ( picture). 8. The chair in one room was absolutely disgusting. Looks like someone urinated on it (picture). 9. Breakfast was poor. Ran out of waffle batter first morning. Basically, no food at all on second day (picture). They were so slow to replace it I only had coffee and juice. But I was lucky! My friend waited and ate the food when it came out. Then he got food poisoning and had diarrhea for most of the day. 10. TVs did not work at all on second day.
