Room wasn’t ready until 90 minutes after check in time and wasn’t very clean when we could get in. There weren’t enough clean towels and washcloths for the number of people in my room. We were told towels were being laundered every time we asked, which resulted in us having to share bath towels. We also selected this hotel for the outdoor pool, but it was drained and out of order.

Did not like the fact that I was forced to unhook my trailer in order to stay there. Or park at another location. I I spend around 150 nights a year in hotels and have never been asked to do this. Back parking lot had three cars in it plenty of room. I Will never stay at this location again.

We were here for a baseball tournament, everything was good except we have a pending charge for a whole other stay. No one could fix it for us and my husband felt like he was getting the run around. The power went out one day and the elevator the next day. Breakfast was good. Just beware if you have a problem it may not get fixed.

We had a great stay (since prior place was gross and unsafe). Staff was awesome. However one thing you need to fix is i have a teen who is in wheelchair and couldnt use the chair lift for pool. This is a issue as it doesn't comply with ADA. You need to get anything that is ADA required fixed and up to date. Im a 60yr old who was having to lift a 100lb boy in and out of pool. Please fix. We enjoyed our stay thank you

Hotel was very clean & comfortable. The staff was friendly & welcoming. Continental breakfast was delicious & offered a variety. Rooms had refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, & iron. The toiletries they offered were Dove products!! Pool space was clean & well kept, same was the parking lot. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and plan to book again.

I was very impressed with my room and the hotel. Very beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was a sweet note from housekeeping welcoming me to the hotel and the TV and a light were on. The bed was very comfy, I loved having the Dove products in the room. AND the breakfast was great. Biscuits and gravy are my favorite. I will be making this hotel MY place to stay when I return home.

Well i never complained about anything before. But this time I’m not happy. I paid so much money for one night and I get to my room and I find a roach intje bathroom. 😕not good at all. Paying so much money for one night at a 5 star hotel and you find this. Not happy.

TV inoperable. Would not respond to remote. Understaffed front office could get unit to slow walk through offerings by up/down channel but Guide would not function. Rooms should be thoroughly inspected prior to guests arrival. Changing rooms should not be the solution.

The beds are very comfy and the room was very clean. The air conditioning worked great in our room since it was scorching hot outside. Once we checked in we did not want to go back out so we ordered pizza delivery. We would stay again.

We visit Pell City often. This was our first time staying here and we had no complaints. It was a beautiful property, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I do wish all hotels would eliminate all carpet tho! Tile or laminate just feels so much cleaner. We will definitely stay here again!

Sarah and Tara were phenomenal in helping pick a great nearby restaurant, (the St. Clair) and in making my trip comfortable. I travel to Birmingham every ~ 3 months and will look no further for my next hotel. See ya again in 3 months!

My TV didn’t work. After two trips to the front desk I changed rooms. About an hour later someone attempted entry to my room as front desk had not updated my transfer in their system. Front desk employee was kind but I believe overwhelmed with guests. Where was the manager???

They booked us in a room that had someone still in it. We were in town for our granddaughter racing at Talledega so no more rooms in town. We had to drive back home at night in the rain and missed the whole event the next day. My Wife cried all weekend.

Booked a 2 queen bed room and when we arrived they didn’t tell us our room was no longer available. Instead they gave us our key and sent us up to our room to find we were actually given a room with one king bed for two adults and two 14 year old boys. We went back down to get the room we paid for and was told that our room was given away and they were now sold out. On top of no longer having a room at this location there was no rooms available at any hotel within 50 miles. We are currently waiting on our refund for the hotel room plus a $50 hold that was placed on our card when we checked in. We now have to wait 7-10 business days to get our refunds.

Front desk person Wendy was very helpful with check in do to room not being ready yet. Was told it would be a 30 minute delay. However by the time we returned with bags the room was ready. She was very patient with me due me have a headache from driving.

Tara at check in was amazing. The lobby is clean and well kept. Our first room was a non smoking room that wreaked of smoker smell. We were then moved to a second larger room, however the toilet was broken and the air conditioner had a repetitive loud squeak. Due to the broken toilet we were moved to a 3rd room. This room is what was expected all along. Clean, properly working toilet, and normal sounding air conditioner. Thankfully Tara at the front dest was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout this arduous process.

Did not havevthe famous cinnamon rolls or milk for cereal. I like the Holiday Inn Express because of the breakfast and especially the hot cinnamon rolls. Major disappointment!
