Quality Inn Valley - West Point

My stay was nice. The only problem is the housekeeping didnt have additional bath cloths when i requested them and it was a wait if about 45 minutes for them. The pool was closwd sue ro weather but we had a great stay.

The property was clean and the staff was nice. The location wasn't incredible, as it wasn't very walkable, since I had a pet with me. But besides that, I enjoyed my stay.

I booked my room based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint. The owners of the property are really doing a great job of taking care of it and updating everything. The hotel lobby and hallways were very clean and fresh smelling. My room was very clean and well maintained. The parking area is well lit, clean and had recently had the stripes repainted. Not much of a choice for restaurants within walking distance, but plenty are in a very short drive. All in all I can’t complain about it, especially at the price.

The bathroom toilet leaked and was not that clean. None of the ice makers worked. We had an emergency back at home and needed to leave a day early and manager would not work with us to credit back the night.

Nice hotel for a pet friendly stay. Our room was next to an outside exit which made it convenient to take dog outside. A nice area and very friendly staff. Breakfast was just cereal and muffins. But there is a waffle next door in walking distance. Worth the cost. Will stay again.

Ice machine did not work and no way to get water at breakfast or anywhere in lobby.

Clean and Safe

Elevator was out of order so I had to carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs, there was no shower curtain in the bathroom, there was limited housekeeping due to the elevator issue, there was trash thrown about the hallway from other guests, one morning the front lobby doors would not open,etc,etc

What is really weird and a bit disconcerting is that there is NO signage about the hotel at the exit, or even on the building. Maybe the sign is being repaired, but the place was dark at 9:30 when we arrived and it felt a little sketchy. Also, I had tried to contact the hotel thru the phone number and the link on Hotels.com and could not get through. All I got was a busy signal. I even phoned the number while standing at the reception desk and got a busy signal. The receptionist could not have cared at all about this which is disappointing.

Staff was great in everyway. Room was a room, it served it's purpose. I do wish that there could have been something done about the constant smell in the hall way of the 3rd floor that is obviously the smoking floor. As a smoker smells don't typically bother me but this was crazy, it was as if you were being slapped in the face by it when you got off the elevator. I didn't say anything to the staff as I know that there was nothing that could be done. All in all as I said it served it's purpose. Being that this is the only place near my fathers home that allows pets I really don't have a choice of where I can stay when I come to visit.

Linens on top of bed were visibly dirty with stains. Lamp shades visibly dirty with stains/age. Toilet ran all night long. My husband even tried to fix it & it wouldn’t stop. The pillows were the size of a toddlers pillow. Literally. Non English-speaking Housekeeping kept knocking on our door at 8 AM & didn’t understand the word “occupied” so they just kept knocking & yelling “housekeeping!” No apology when we mentioned to the lady when we left (20 minutes later bc we were so annoyed & exhausted) about the toilet, & we had to hunt someone down to tell them because no one was at the front desk.

This was a clean hotel. The room was basic. But that was fine it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple. The rate was good. I would stay here again.

No complaints. Clean and comfortable. Also let me check in several hours early.

not very clean, smelly

Not so good, I spotted 3 roaches in the room on different occasions and 1 in the hallway area. Also, the comforter didn't look too clean I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have not seen roaches I liked this hotel because of the location close to the highway when I am down visiting family and needed to travel along I-85 but unfortunately I will have to search for somewhere else in the future, don't want to risk bringing home any insects hopefully, management will see this and fix the issue.

Filthy, mold in the bathroom, cracked, water damaged walls and ceiling, the safety latch was broken and the door looked like it had been kicked in previously (latch missing screws, the metal brace was cracked.) Mold in the A/C vents, the A/C was so loud it rivaled the semi-trucks pulling in and out of the gas station next to the hotel. Dirty, rude staff, poorly maintained. In a word: disgusting.

The room was relatively clean but it felt damp and the floors felt sticky. Housekeeping came to our room, but honestly I don't think they did anything but fold the towels. The beds were left unmade and they took the soap by the sink but didn't leave a replacement.

Bed had stains all over it. Bathroom had hair on floor.

The lemons on the beds were stained. Towels were stained and varyed flimsy and the toilet was backed up. And the bed was a brick Check in what's great. Continental breakfast was very bad because they did not have the pancake. Batter, since that was the main thing for breakfast, there was no continental breakfast.

We arrived in the middle of the night due to unexpected delays and Mick at the front desk didn't miss a beat checking us in and giving us helpful info about the property. I interacted with a few other members of staff including housekeeping and everyone was friendly, professional and helpful. The bed was comfy, the room was spacious and had all basic amenities one would need. The bathroom was clean and shower pressure was great.

The beds were terrible

Smelled like smoke and pot… TV remote didn’t work and the phone to call to complain didn’t work with. Nasty feel…

Air conditioning unit was extremely LOUD

Room was clean, with a few minor exceptions. Very thin walls, was able to hear all of the noises from our neighbors and cleaning staff outside the rooms.

Antiquated rooms. Small TV, mildew smell, bathroom had sink only no counter. Cleaning crew blasted music in morning hours.

Checking in was a breeze. The room was spacious enough and had all the required necessities for my stay.

Could hear neighbors through the walls. Dirty standing water in toilet. Toilet backed up when flushed. Alerted front desk asking to change rooms. Instead was handed a toilet plunger and told to unclog toilet myself. Plunger didn't work so toilet remained clogged for my 2 nights. Did not sleep at this motel. Went to stay with a friend in town.

When we mentioned it to the night Manager about some guest smoking pot on the third floor which is where we were she told us that that floor was the Ghetto floor. That i did not appreciate at all. The heat and air unit in our room had leaked water in front of the unit and when told about it when we got up this morning the morning guy said that it was from the rain which it wasn't from the rain. The heating unit was not working properly the whole night. This stay will be our last one. We have been staying there when we make the trip to Alabama but with the pot use and being told that its a Ghetto floor just because we had a dog and smoke cigarettes the legal kind you buy in the stored really disappointed me. We told of the pot smoking and was told that she was trying to find who was doing, well that was a lie in my book. Alls that needed to be done was call the Sheriff's office and request for a K9 to be sent out and let the dog sniff out each room for drugs. Last stay for us.

Nice to let is check in early

The employees were very pleasant and friendly and helpful. We had to stay there due to an accident. The employees and the facility far exceeded our expectations. Staff did a great job!

We were able to check in earlier than we believed we were going to be able to. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

No doorknob on bathroom door, no hot water for shower and check in staff was annoyed for being bothered.

Housekeeping was extremely loud and yelling in the hall early in the morning. They beat on my door over an hour before checkout, despite having the do not disturb sign on the door. I told them I was checking out at 11. Ten minutes later they beat on the door and tried to come in while I was in the shower. I would never stay again.

Close to interstate, friendly and helpful staff

I like that you could walk to the store and the places to eat very convenient to 85 quiet and Clean Stay.

Close to some good restaurants

We stayed here for my son's travel baseball game. Highly recommend. Only 5 miles from the baseball complex.

Breakfast was real limited and some room doors are busted and can be easily opened without a key card

The hotel was ok for the price but half of the lamps didn't have bulbs in them or the bulbs were burned out, the plug in the bathroom didn't work causing us to have to unplug the refrigerator to run a hairdryer and the hotel advertised hot breakfast which didn't exist.

Very easy to check in. Room was clean and staff was nice. Not really anything to the continental breakfast, but the rest was good.

Everything was fine. The breakfast was a little limited. For a king-size bed, there were only 4 flat feather pillows. I didn't realize until we got there that the hotel is on Eastern time even though in Alabama (almost all of which is on Central time), so check out time was an hour earlier than I expected.
