LOVE Lagonita! We bring our Hobie kayaks and fish for trout and just cruise! NICE boat dock on-site and it's FREE (space available). Can fish off the end of the docks, with benches and rod holders, too! GREAT, hot gas grills and a nice jacuzzi round out the amenities. Staff is EXTRA nice- and they have a 12noon checkout most days!

Clean room, all the amenities we need, game room with pool tables was a plus, great location next to the lake, great place for a family reunion with outdoor tables, indoor pool and jacuzzi, and close to the shops.

The lake view from the 2nd floor was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out at the lake too. The other amenities were wonderful: pontoon boat ride, ice cream social, etc. The staff were all wonderful!!!!

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and responsive. Our unit was very clean, which made our stay even more comfortable. The separate adult hours, rec room, and spa were amazing to have!

Lagonita Lodge is a gorgeous property right on the shores of Big Bear Lake. Complete with own docks, BBQs, playground, rec rooms and an outdoor raised hot tub beside the lake. Indoor pool and spa too. Walkways and greenery abound. Our two bedroom “Bear Lodge” was lovely, spacious and well equipped with a nice balcony and view of the lake. The staff members were efficient and helpful. Cool activities were offered daily. Great for family time or romantic getaway. We loved our weekend at Lagonita Lodge.

Very spacious lovely room right on the lake. The indoor pool and spa can use an upgrade and having to walk out in the cold to get towels from the front desk was not nice. But otherwise this is a very nice lodge with tons of fun activities to sign up for.

I enjoyed my stay there. The parking was convenient, the view of the lake was fantastic, and the area was very walkable. The spacious suites were a plus, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and a grill area. However, there were two significant drawbacks: the outdated interiors and the state of the hot tub. Both the hot tub and the pool were in dire need of attention, filled with debris and floating refuse, and the edges of the water were turned black with foam. It was clear they hadn't been cleaned or refreshed in over a month, and the strong chlorine odor in that confined space made it uninviting. We opted to return to our room instead. I also recommend bringing your own sheets and slippers for indoor use, and it wouldn't hurt to bring something for the couch as well. So, it's wise to adjust your expectations regarding the cleanliness of the furniture. Despite these issues, the scenery and other aspects of the stay were truly wonderful.

The room was really nice! We were able to walk down to the doc and start fishing. It was really nice and a great property! The only negatives are that there is no AC so it’s pretty hot and there were some ants and little bugs in the kitchen.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and this is the first time I was a little disappointed. I got the room I requested which was a plus. But the cleanliness was not up to par this time around. One of my pillows had fresh semi dried blood, one bathroom had soap all over the walls and was obviously not cleaned thoroughly, lastly the dishwasher was full of residue and didn’t clean the dishes until I ran it a third time. I love this place but it’s definitely gone downhill in cleanliness. I will still chose this place every time I visit. The views are beautiful and they accommodate you when you need something and request a room. All in all this place is a 4/5.

I had contacted the Lodge twice to make sure a handicap room was available with Lake view and access to elevator and was guaranteed it would be. When we arrived, no communication between front desk staff members. The room that was available was dirty and had to be cleaned. We waited over 3.5 hours to find two of the maids in there sitting on the chair and one laying on the bed with both tvs on as they watched their telenovela and were chit chatting. Dead bugs were found in the drawers and on a towel, place was still dusty and dirty, toilet didn’t work nor did sink as they were both plugged. Shower had hairs in it. Went to front desk again who were very rude, busy gossiping, and sighed multiple times as if we were bothering them. Put us in the third room in which was supposed to be our reservation from the beginning, mind you we had waited for it for over 5 hours, no one had eaten and they knowing I was with someone who is medically disabled, and finally given a room. I wouldn’t suggest this Lodge to anyone else as there are better ones that are cleaner and take better care of its patrons in the area and on the Lake.

We enjoyed that it was a type of condo rather than a hotel. It was roomy and the view from the balcony was nice. It was rather noisy for us being put on the 1st floor. The most difficult part for us was the very stiff bed and they only offered queen size beds. We do much better in King size. The bed was quite uncomfortable for us. I would bring a comforter or something along those lines to put down underneath you, that should alleviate the stiffness. If you are okay with an 80's style, that is a little rundown but functional, i would say this is a good olace for you. Overall, it grew on us and we would probably stay again if we could stay on a higher floor.

The room was large and the view of the lake was fantastic. The room furniture was old but clean and well equipped including a full kitchen. From the property we had easy access to the lake and 5 mins drive to the ski slopes. Only complaint is that checkout was at 10am and that was early and non-negotiable. I will stay there again.

Great rooms, clean and quiet. Remote never worked for tv and never got fixed after requesting help. Son fell at pool and sprained ankle due to flooded areas, had to call ems myself, per staff instructions. All activities we had planned had to be cancelled at our expense. I will be getting billed for ambulance. Staff never asked if he was ok, just had me fill out report, and gave no further assistance. Our vacation was spent at hospital and i will be incurring financial hardship we can't afford.

This is our 4th or 5th time staying here. We always love it. The location on the lake is great. This trip, however, was not the best. We mainly choose this lodge because of the location & the indoor pool because outdoor pools here even in the summer are too cold. The second day we went to the pool in the after & it was closed. We were told something broke & it may or may not be fixed the following day. The next morning I spoke with the manager, Tiffany, and asked to check out a day early and receive a partial refund for that day. Without a pool we were pretty bored & hot in the condo that has no AC. She said absolutely not. She stated that the pool would be fixed sometime during the day so she would not issue a refund. The pool did not open until almost 6pm that day. For us, this was a big deal as my daughter really wanted to swim and the pool was shut down a little over 24 hours. We reached out to our booking agent who also spoke with manager Tiffany & was told if we wanted to swim we could go swim in the lake. So we absolutely will not return because their manager lacks customer service skills.

This is by far my favorite place to stay in Big Bear! I have been visiting Lagonita Lodge for over 10 years. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The location is safe and easy to get to. The rooms are very clean. Definitely recommend 👌

I had contacted the Lodge twice to make sure a handicap room was available with Lake view and access to elevator and was guaranteed it would be. When we arrived, no communication between front desk staff members. The room that was available was dirty and had to be cleaned. We waited over 3.5 hours to find two of the maids in there sitting on the chair and one laying on the bed with both tvs on as they watched their telenovela and were chit chatting. Dead bugs were found in the drawers and on a towel, place was still dusty and dirty, toilet didn’t work nor did sink as they were both plugged. Shower had hairs in it. Went to front desk again who were very rude, busy gossiping, and sighed multiple times as if we were bothering them. Put us in the third room in which was supposed to be our reservation from the beginning, mind you we had waited for it for over 5 hours, no one had eaten and they knowing I was with someone who is medically disabled, and finally given a room. I wouldn’t suggest this Lodge to anyone else as there are better ones that are cleaner and take better care of its patrons in the area and on the Lake.

I did not appreciate hotel staff knocking on my door at 10:06am angrily telling me that check-out is 10am. I was literally walking out the door, had to deal with limited parking so loading my vehicle was very difficult. It turned a positive experience into a negative one, I haven\'t felt that uncomfortable in a long time. Even the cleaning lady was rude, repeating "Check out is 10 o\'clock!" Not sure If I\'ll stay here again.

On a solo motorcycle trip. The roads around Big Bear are excellent riding, especially Hwy 38. Lagonita Lodge offers very spacious rooms with all of the amenities. It is a little too far from Big Bear Village to walk there but it is right on the lake!

LOVE Lagonita! We bring our Hobie kayaks and fish for trout and just cruise! NICE boat dock on-site and it's FREE (space available). Can fish off the end of the docks, with benches and rod holders, too! GREAT, hot gas grills and a nice jacuzzi round out the amenities. Staff is EXTRA nice- and they have a 12noon checkout most days!

Lagonita Lodge is a great vacation destination. The staff in particular is very friendly and welcoming. It feels like coming home to great friends. We enjoyed the welcome wine and cheese and met some great people. What a wonderful experience. The lake cruise was wonderful and so much fun. We will be back.

The lake view from the 2nd floor was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out at the lake too. The other amenities were wonderful: pontoon boat ride, ice cream social, etc. The staff were all wonderful!!!!

Lagonita Lodge is a gorgeous property right on the shores of Big Bear Lake. Complete with own docks, BBQs, playground, rec rooms and an outdoor raised hot tub beside the lake. Indoor pool and spa too. Walkways and greenery abound. Our two bedroom “Bear Lodge” was lovely, spacious and well equipped with a nice balcony and view of the lake. The staff members were efficient and helpful. Cool activities were offered daily. Great for family time or romantic getaway. We loved our weekend at Lagonita Lodge.

We really enjoyed our stay but there were some issues, first and foremost the back sliding door had NO lock! There was no room service (cleaning) on the weekends, and finally there was a huge clump of human hair clogging the bathroom sink! Fortunately there was a plunger in the room so I was able to clear it out! Also, the gas fire place did not work. Otherwise, the people there were friendly, they had good programs like a pancake breakfast, a wine and beer gathering, a boat ride around the lake (boat captain Mike was a great tour guide) and a free continental breakfast on Sunday morning. I would return but make sure I stay in a different room that I could lock both front and back doors!

We loved our stay at Lagonita! We were there in the winter and it was very reasonable.The breakfast was great, the room was perfect. The kids loved the indoor pool. They offered some fun 'activities'. Everyone was very nice. I appreciated that they had games and DVDs on offer at the front.

Love the indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good. We had a great stay. Everyone was very friendly. Only thing we didn’t love was we could hear the people above us walking around all night. I’d definitely stay here again but on the second floor!

I really enjoyed my stay\. The hotel was beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent\. I would definitely love to come back again\. If I could mention just one thing that could be improved, it would be the water pressure in the shower\. It was a little weak, which made it somewhat difficult and time\-consuming to wash properly\. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying here again\. Thank you

Thrilled that I got room 130 in building 4 - had a great view of the lake (before a row of trees obscure the view for other units west of this side). I was worried about the view based on other reviews but glad it worked out. I spent a lot of time on the balcony - reading, eating, writing - people do walk by but this unit is slightly elevated so it still felt private. The small beach here is lovely for watching sunset and I loved sitting on the pier to see the sun rise in the morning. I didn't use the pool, gym and hot tubs because it was so nice outside. Never had an issue with parking. Everyone in front office was so kind and helpful. No A/C but I just missed the heat wave and temperature was comfortable (and I run hot at night). * There were a few minor things I hope management can improve on: Living room could use a couple more lamps for the evening. The kitchen cabinets could use an upgrade and kitchen could be better appointed (i.e. there was one thin stainless spatula that was so cheap it bent during normal frying use) but overall it had what I needed to cook simple meals. Know there are no spices or oils here - had to run to Stater bros to pick up some items. Didn't love that the bedroom was right by the walkway with a bright light - bring your sleeping eye mask if you're light sensitive. Overall had a peaceful stay, loved it so much I extended one day. Great location, right on the lake! Nice views from the units. Full kitchens with all the cookware needed. Fun onsite activities, nice pool and hot tubs, and great food activities as well. A nice place for kids, as well as a relaxing place for adults.

We always stay at the Lagonita, its right on the lake, which is great. The full kitchens are very convenient. Fireplace in each unit. Not far from the village. Very quiet and peaceful. They have activities, you can rent boats and they have a boat tour of the lake you can take. The parking situation is good. The staff are always helpful. Only drawback is no air conditioning, but they give you a fan lol. Its never bothered us, better to breath in the fresh mountain air.
