The ac in my room was broken, but the staff in the front office gave us a new room with no problem. It was nice that they had a decent sized gym, the problem was that most of the machines were broken.

Disappointing. The website described this as a conference centre and implied reliable Wifi. The Wifi I really needed for my 2 night stay did not work at all the first night and when I complained they just said it was showing "all systems go" at their end. When I looked into it further the next day it was clear this wasn't the first time it's been problematic - a router problem. They allowed me to move closer to the main building and it worked for about an hour on my phone but not my laptop,and then stopped connecting entirely. They never acknowledged that this was an inconvenience and never apologized. It clearly says laptop compatible safe on the room description and this was a factor in choosing the hotel - there was no safe. It says there is soundproofing - I doubt that. The first room (king) had no plug in either the sink or bathtub where I wanted to wash a few small things but couldn't. Very few electrical outlets required unplugging lights to plug in chargers. There were only two small pillows. The second room (2 queen) was nicer. Both were clean. Buffet breakfast consisted of an egg burrito or an apple or packaged muffin. The tea was awful, I can only guess was very, very old. Parking was convenient. The pool looked OK but I didn't use it. The hot tub wasn't very hot when I tested it. The bed was comfortable. Beautiful bougainvillea plants. Plenty of parking. Adequate, large-enough room, comfortable king bed and pillows. Everything worked well. Being a 102F-degree day, the pool looked inviting from a distance. Closer look showed quite a bit of hair and similar debris floating on the surface-- does the skimmer not work? We opted to pass on the swim. However, later, many of a large clan were enjoying the pool. A/C worked wonderfully and surprisingly quiet in our room 118. A plus that the window could be opened and was screened, and that's all that was needed at night. We had a good dinner at the property's restaurant. Breakfast was provided, and was adequate, with a pancake machine, freshly-scrambled eggs using real eggs, sausage, cereals, mini-donuts, yogurts, apples. But the Breakfast Hours are hard for most guests-- 5 - 8 A.M. I get it that there are many Workers/birders/travelers staying there who may appreciate an earlier breakfast-- thank you on their behalf-- but just extend the hours until 9, at the very least. Why not? What's your rush to close up at 8???

Good stay, relatively quiet, breakfast and coffee great, pool somewhat clean hot tub gross and property clean. Asking for extra pillow, soap, doggie waste bags and designated area for dogs to relieve themselves was odd reactions (asked different times for each request). No doggie waste bags and offered no alternatives so i asked housekeeping for their plastic bags. Asked for 1 extra pillow, Representative said if only if he has an extra pillow for you yeah. 2 adult 1 child on 1 king bed, not asking for a lot. Acted like an inconvenience. Had 1 bar of soap and asked for extra. Placed housekeeping request tag on doorhandle left and came back 6 hours later and tag was moved to numbers of room on door however no housekeeping was done so we had to request again and had to wait outside of room until housekeeping was finished. So overall it was good not great.

The man at check in was nice. I was a bit scared as there were a lot of men lined up outside our room door when we pulled up. Seemed like workers were staying there and they were getting meals in the parking lot. I was with my partener so I wasn't afraid but maybe as a solo female traveler I would feel a bit of unease. The ice machine didn't dispense ice the second day and it was 103 degrees. the room was okay but not as clean as expected, only 2 bath towels provided some red stains on carpet were questionable and there were stains in bathroom wall with pubic hairs on the floor. We only had the breakfast once, it was a chorizo breakfast burrito, it was good but limited selection not as pictured on expedia. no lounge or bar open. I went to get breakfast while my partner showered I got one for me and asked for a second one from receptionist, she was somewhat rude and asked if I hadn't already got one like if I was being selfish and taking all the breakfast. She stated she would give it to me this one time but that next time the second person had to show up to get themselves. That was a turn off breakfast not that great and if she checked my room number she would see reservation is for 2 people. I wasn't being unreasonable asking for the 2 breakfasts especially because breakfast is really early 5am to 8am. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. Husband said the gym was well appointed for the size of the facility. The room was only ok. It was mostly just tired. Only two pillows on a king bed with no extras on the shelf. Linens and towels should be retired.

The staff especially the front staff are so great and accommodating. They changed my room as soon as I asked with no hesitation. The cleanliness of the rooms were a big problem. My first and second stay here were great but after this visit, I will not come back. The first room I received, there was fresh blood all over the carpet near the sink and bathroom area and the room smelled like moldy floor that had not been washed and dried properly. The following morning, staff were to friendly and changed my room. Second room has dead bug on the bed and once I had the air conditioning blasting to full speed because the room again smelled like moldy floor, there were small dead bugs coming out of the air conditioner and landing on my bed. I am unsure who approved the rooms as ready for customers but I dont think the cleaners care and more attention needs to be paid to these rooms.

Basically I always stay here when I go see my loved one. But this time I brought home a bedbug. I always stay here but I will no longer be staying there. I arrived early there were no fees. Staff is always very professional. I just cannot get passed bring home a bedbug in my belongings.

There was a live cockroach in the bathroom. The flooring was carpet and looked dirty as well as the curtains. The walls were dirty as well. Won’t be staying there again.

Staff was very friendly but overall condition of property is heading south. Unfortunately had up stairs room, but the worst was the door! Bottom of door had 1 1/2 gap at bottom. Ridiculous. Water pressure lack luster, shower temp lack luster at times too. Cleanliness of room is poor. Walls dirty, floor needs replacement. Love the proximity for hotel and other places but this has been an on going issue.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. The only thing in the room that appeared clean were the bedsheets. Everything else ranged from poorly maintained to outright disgusting. The tub and shower were filthy and clearly not cleaned properly. The bathroom floor had sand and debris, and it felt like it hadn’t been swept in weeks—there was even a noticeable draft or breeze coming through the room. It gave the impression that cleanliness was not a priority at all. It also looks like there was a half-hearted attempt to “refresh” the unit, but the execution was extremely poor. Drywall screws were used on bathroom fixtures, which is completely unacceptable. The toilet seat/ring was oversized—larger than the toilet itself—making it uncomfortable and awkward to sit on. These are not minor cosmetic issues; they reflect careless construction and lack of attention to basic standards. Overall, the workmanship, cleanliness, and condition of the room were very poor. Several areas were simply disgusting, and the room did not feel well-maintained or cared for. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and quality control.

Clean room, easy check-in. Beds are uncomfortably high - someone with mobility issues would have problems getting on them. Our able-bodied, 67-year-old mom needed help getting up. I stayed at this hotel when I was visiting family during the holidays and I was very impressed with the quality of the room at a very affordable price, nice spacious refrigerator, microwave, desk, nice TV, wi-if, very comfortable king size bed, very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Nice bathroom area and vanity. Closet space is nice. I think it’s cute every room is named after an animal. I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again when I’m in Brawley.

Hotel clerk who checked me in was very rude. My mom made the reservation for me but the clerk insinuated like I was deceptive with the way the room was reserved. There was also a separate surcharge of $3.75 for "parking, room cleaning". I stated why it wasn't listed but he stated it was Hotels.com responsibility to let the customer know of separate charges.

I have stayed at this hotel several times , and upon checkout I went to retrieve my cash deposit and was refused to be returned. One of the housekeepers claims it smells like smoke in the room , however I did not smoke in the room , I would never do that for once it's disgusting to smoke in a room and two I wouldn't be stupid enough to jeopardize my deposit. The front desk lady refused to go and check herself and just took one single ladies word for it that the room Was smoked in . I am floored at the front desk customer service the lady had a horrible attitude and seems extremely lazy she didn't make any effort to confirm that in-fact the room Did not smell like cigarettes. I have spent over 800$ at this hotel in the last week alone and I always clean my room before I leave and make sure that the least amount of cleanup is necessary when i leave , I highly advise to NOT stay at this hotel . Checking in wasn't great. I checked in and got the wrong room. I booked a 2 queen bed room and got a one king bed. I had to go back and show my reservation after being asked this time around and had to request 2 keys cause the reception guy didn't even ask the first time around. Going back to the office was an inconvenience not just for me but apparently for him too. I've stayed here twice in the past. Continental breakfast was decent compared to the bagged food my last time, although the touchless pancake machine was slow and inconsistent. The room wasn't bad. The shower was just loud. Made a weird noise when turned on. I could hear the neighbors shower in the morning so I wouldn't be surprised if they heard ours.

The person who checked us in had a terrible attitude. He had the nerve to ask us what the purpose for our stay was… not in a friendly or conversational way… like a quiz. He sat in an extremely low chair, never stood up or made any attempt to address us like guests. He literally typed our response into the computer. Then he pointed in the general direction of our room, and waived us off. The room was just ok. It was sort of clean, but had numerous questionable stains on the wall, but was otherwise okay enough for a quick stay on a road trip. Von’s is right behind the motel, so if you check in late, that will be your healthiest option There is fast food close-by. Any of the other restaurants close by 9:00 or 10:00 pm. Or, you can wait for breakfast which opens at 5:00 am and ends at 8:00 am.

Beautiful bougainvillea plants. Plenty of parking. Adequate, large-enough room, comfortable king bed and pillows. Everything worked well. Being a 102F-degree day, the pool looked inviting from a distance. Closer look showed quite a bit of hair and similar debris floating on the surface-- does the skimmer not work? We opted to pass on the swim. However, later, many of a large clan were enjoying the pool. A/C worked wonderfully and surprisingly quiet in our room 118. A plus that the window could be opened and was screened, and that's all that was needed at night. We had a good dinner at the property's restaurant. Breakfast was provided, and was adequate, with a pancake machine, freshly-scrambled eggs using real eggs, sausage, cereals, mini-donuts, yogurts, apples. But the Breakfast Hours are hard for most guests-- 5 - 8 A.M. I get it that there are many Workers/birders/travelers staying there who may appreciate an earlier breakfast-- thank you on their behalf-- but just extend the hours until 9, at the very least. Why not? What's your rush to close up at 8???
