It was okay for what we needed. Pool is small and cold water. Hot tub and sauna not working. Room was real small but it was clean. You can hear a lot of noise from other rooms and outside. Lots to do right around the hotel though!

It was the advertisement of a pool and hottub/sana that madr this the one for me....BUT the both pool and tub were disgusting water. Smelled like moldy, allgy water that was brown in color. There were no towls in any of the lool areas. The breakfast was good but they ran out of food quite esily.

We were extremely disappointed in this hotel. The beds were beyond hard. I'm not exaggerating when I say the floor would have been more comfortable. The hot tub was broken and out of service. The pool had so much chlorine that it made my whole family nauseous just being in the room for a couple minutes. We were not even able to swim. Had to leave the building. The complementary breakfast gave you a choice of dry crumble biscuits or waffles. My entire family was extremely disappointed in this hotel. When I called to confirm my reservation we should have been informed by the staff of amenities not being available. A large reason we chose this hotel over another one in Crescent City was because of the pool and hot tub. We wanted to soak and relax after a day full of hiking, but no one was able to. The staff were very young and uninformed of dining, entertainment or direction in the area. When traveling we usually opt for Best Western but this location was a huge let down. Reimbursement should be required from the hotel if the amenities they advertised aren't actually available. Will not return.

One night stay. Overpriced. Shasta the manager was awesome, very friendly, professional and efficient. Had a comfy bed, WiFi, hot shower. Hot tub was out of order…one of the reasons we booked here. 😥

The hotel was directly across the street from the water. It was an easy walk to get to the large park, lighthouse, and visitor centers, and it was very pretty at low tide. I was given a choice of the fro t or back of the property and picked the fro t for the view. Our room was on the end and our total view was of the staircase and a bit of the building with the restaurant. The breakfast was fairly standard, but sufficient. The pool was OK, but the bathroom was dirty. I imagine it's difficult to maintain when there's wet kids using it. The staff seemed fairly neutral about their job, you'd think a nice welcoming smile would made customers and themselves feel better about the day. I didn't like the fact that there were people that had a u-haul trailer set up in the parking lot which they'd gather around smoking and dri king and throwing a ball which hit my vehicle rental (I changed parking spots after that). We were only able to stay the first night of our two night stay because there was a tsunami warning at about 8:30pm which was effective until further notice so we ended our vacation to California and drove all night back home.

The room smells moldy. We have to open our windows all night. Someone left a cup with green plastic bag with black paint smelling chemical. Breakfast is meh.

Front desk staff were great. Housekeeper was helpful. Free morning breakfast was woefully understaffed, items were not restocked promptly, trash bins overflowing…did not return after one morning. Room was just ok. Carpet dirty, mold in shower, body soap dispenser empty, coffeemaker broken.

The hotel is conveniently located on hiway 101. The room had no carpet on the floor. There was no mat to wipe your feet as you came in. The floors were filthy. My socks were dirty just walking to the bathroom. You could tell they hadn’t been mopped in quite some time. The best part of our stay was the free hot breakfast. I wouldn’t stay there again. Very subpar for a best western facility. I complained on checkout. The desk clerk said they would be sure to let housekeeping know. So what. No discount. No nothing to compensate for our stay in a poor hotel.

The room had a bit of an odour of old, smelly carpet and the sheets and towels were threadbare. You could see the mattress pad cover right through the fitted sheet. The pillows were not standard and more like throw pillows and grossly uncomfortable to sleep on. I will say that the bathroom area was very clean. The tv did not work

The room was like a motel , the tub was sunken in in the middle and bathroom was tiny you should barely move. The beds were not comfortable and the linen was awful. Tv was outdated and had a grey tint to the screen. Spa was down. Was overpriced for what you get. Pictures were definitely filtered as it was not nice In person

Super easy to find this location and nicely surrounded by other stores and the beach/marina is within walking distance. The room we stayed in seemed to be newly renovated and was very spacious! For the price, this was a great surprise to me. There are multiple buildings so I'm not sure if all are in the same condition. We were on the third floor in the build straight back which does have an elevator. The breakfast was located a different building but wasn't far to get to from our room and had a lovely selection. The main highlight though was the staff members. Everyone we had the pleasure of encountering were beyond kind, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. I want to give a huge shout out to Keyara who was working at the front desk when I went to checkin a few weeks ago. She was assisting a customer who constantly was degrading, belittling, and down right rude to her. Keyara handled this situation calm and collected despite receiving the complete opposite from this lady. I know what it's like to work in customer service, and it's times like that which really tests someone. High props to Keyara and I hope she gets the recognition she so clearly deserves!

I booked a room for 7 days and was planning to extend for the whole month, when I arrived, the evening shift front desk lady was amazing and willing to help , I complained of my room having a dirty carpet and requested to switch to the other room which was much better, the front desk lady called the night auditor to ask how to switch me to another room and this night Auditor was very rude and unprofessional, refused and ordered me to cancel it and go somewhere else. I have never seen rudeness like this. I stayed in the dirty room for 7 days and I could not wait to check out and go somewhere else.I would never stay at this hotel again.

At the time we checked hotel pool area was closed for maintenance. We’ve booked this hotel mainly because kids wanted the pool. We were not notified about that during check in time. When discovered that, we spoke to the front desk and we’re told we won’t get money back if we check out early, but can get a partial refund tomorrow when the manager is back. Since it was late we decided to stay at the hotel, and in the morning we spoke to the manager, but manager declined any partial refunds because we “completed our stay”. Apart from that, non of the lockers in our suit were working (improperly installed), dishwasher was lose under the countertop. Overall stuff was friendly except the manager.

This property will always be my favorite place to stay in Crescent city. The staff is always so amazing. The property is always clean, and truly love there job, and always love to help. Our vaca started off as a nightmare, our front desk Brittany came to the rescue in helping us sort out rooms and accommodations. And gave us more feed back to help with our previous hotel which was a nightmare. Best Western is my favorite place to stay.

We have stayed here on multiple occasions and each time we have had a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable for us, we were able to get a good night’s rest after a few hours of driving. Plus the complimentary breakfast was really nice to have before leaving the next day. Staff was also very kind even when checking in late in the evening. We have made staying here our number one choice when in town. Thanks!

Bed was uncomfortable with cheap thin linens. Terrible WIFI. Hideous large dirty shower stool in bathroom. Only one staff member so check in was terribly slow with phone reservations and checking many people in. She was way overworked. Very disappointing for the high price we paid.

Wonderful service! Receptionist was incredibly patient and helpful with a long queue of tired travelers and families who were competing for the last few available rooms in town, while answering phones! At breakfast the lady who staffed the buffet went above and beyond to make sure everyone leaves satisfied.

The staff was very professional. The manager Brittany Jenkins was helpful in helping us change the room and providing refunds of two nights we booked thru Expedia for the room we originally stayed. Rooms and amenities have been upgraded and are very clean. We had a very rest here

There were a lot of homeless people in the general area. The room was very noisy (could hear the upstairs neighbors a lot). The hot tub, pool and sauna were all out of order. On the upside, the staff were very nice.

This is one of the few nice hotels in Crescent City, CA. Beware all the other cruddy motels there! The rooms were very nice, the service was great, the breakfast was yummy, the pool and exercise facilities were immaculate and well-serviced. And a big plus, we were able to bring our dog on this Redwoods trip!

Our room was clean and well stocked. The pool was warm, sauna and hot tub was a welcome site for the long drive. Breakfast was very limited due to lack of food stock. Staff was friendly and professional, also very apologetic due to lack of food for breakfast.
